Came with some friends and family and it took us 2 1/2 hours to get our food. There were only 3 other tables full. Also, one of the waitresses seems to get into a lot of arguments with customers. This is the second time I've seen an altercation with her and a customer. One customer was cursing her out while leaving to which the waitress cursed back at her. I like to bring my family here because it's close to all of us and the food is really good but because of one of the girls there I don't go as much as I used to. Hope the owner or manager sees this and makes necessary changes. Some people that work there are really nice and the food is amazing. read more

Wow! What HORRIBLE service! Literally comical! Not sure of her name, but a red headed bartender with ponytails working may have been the worst person I have ever dealt with! Where to begin... I live in the Gulf Gate area and did some research on where to meet a buddy for National Wings Day. We both wanted to try someplace new. I did some research reading reviews and this place sounded great! I then found them on FB and saw they're doing $.75 wings as a special tonight. 25 minute drive...seemed worth it! Sat down and asked if I could start with a water which was my first mistake. I had every intention of having a beer by the way! Then we waited a MINIMUM of 25 mins before she made it clear to us that she wanted nothing to do with us. I finally was able to flag her and ask if we could get some help. During this process, there was a barback who said he was new but we were able to ask questions of. This guy (he had bleached hair, didn't catch his name) was FANTASTIC! He answered all of our questions and sold us on a couple different flavors. Unfortunately he wasn't able to take our order. So we finally get her to help us (her job, right?!?) & my buddy asks about another flavor to what her response was, "I'm not a flavor, I don't know". What does that even mean?!? A different barback delivered our food and he was great as well! I had to ask him to fill my water which had been sitting out at the top of the bar for 10 minutes which if I actually got some service, I would have also ordered a beer. The wings were pretty good. Never got her to come over and ask how everything was so I guess no beer. Then the first barback who was mentioned came over to her and said the head of the table sitting at a table needed something. She asked him if it was the guy with long blonde hair. He said yes. She said she's not helping that guy and not dealing with him?!? I looked over at the 6 or 7 top and they seemed to be good people to me. None of my business, however, she made it my business as I was at the end of the bar and she had this conversation right next to me. She then conversed with the other female bartender that she will not be working for Wings Day next year...let's hope not. I also hope that includes everyday in between....what a miserable human being! So now the check. I thought about paying credit card so I could leave her a note on why my tip is gonna suck to her. I come from the service industry and tip very generously when I get great service. My bill was $8.03 and I purposely left $9 which felt like too much given the experience...u do know u work for tips, correct? Given the special itself, a great server would have received a $5-$10 tip on that bill. Possibly just a $20 left. Sooooo, as we are now walking out closer to closing 10:20ish, she makes the comment to us to. "Please never come back"...quote, unquote! Was actually impressed she said please, lol. Oh and btw, don't worry, I will definitely make sure to never come back and will be happy to spread the word within my network! Unreal experience! read more

Not a good choice - for service, or for food. Wings were undercooked, but decent size. Sauce couldn't stay with the wing. Flavor of hot sauce was ok. Our chicken sandwich consisted of two lukewarm chicken tenders, which very well may have been frozen. The opinion here is that chicken tenders are far better. Our server at the bar didn't have a big crowd - this was a late lunch - but she wasn't versed in how to keep an eye on patrons. The times we were looking for her attention, she was either talking to someone else or we thought she saw us, but no reaction. Again, not a big crowd (3 other patrons at bar, 2 @ table). As for customer service, I get the feeling she thought she may have been doing us a favor. We definitely won't be back. read more

Not so warm and welcoming. They seem to draw a smokey happy hour crowd, not ideal for a meal with the family read more

We have been going here quite a long time now and realized we had not reviewed. Mark and every else at Wings, Steph, Leah, Mike, Johnnie, Tanya, all the kitchen staff, and all the support staff, are always working to make sure all their customers have a wonderful meal and enjoy themselves. Today, Mark had a wonderful brunch to go with the early NFL game from England. All the food was perfect and Johnnie made excellent mimosas!! If you have any issues at all, you should let your server know as they always are working to make sure all of their customers have a great time. Thank You Mark for giving all of us a great restaurant with wonderful food and great prices. Your wings are absolutely the best!! Wings and Things Lockwood Ridge is simply the Best around. read more

First time here! Wings are awesome!! Great food, great people. Relaxing environment, nice local place. Will definitely be back many more times! read more

BEST WINGS IN SARASOTA!!* "Napalm" wings from Wings N Things are the absolute definition of the real buffalo wings flavor in my book. They're hot, but they're not going to burn your mouth out needlessly. I've been a customer of this restaurant for over 20 years now, and I keep going back for the wings. They have other foods on their menu, but I'm not sure you'll be going there for the other foods. What to order: Get the wings. Definitely. They'll offer you an option of serving them with fries or with celery & carrots. I recommend that you get them with the celery & carrots, because you're gonna want to order a side of curly fries. (I like to eat 'em with vinegar and salt, but you can have 'em your way.) You've also got to try the cheese cubes. These are deep fried (naturally) and served with an amazing sauce they call "cherry mustard," which I can't figure out because it doesn't look like mustard, and it really doesn't taste like cherry. You just have to trust me and try it... just because I can't describe it doesn't mean it isn't AMAZING. Seriously... this is my favorite meal in the world. If I lived closer to it, I'd eat there every week. (Hmmmm.... maybe I can convince my wife to relocate...) Proof: http://www.epiphanydigest.com/2014/08/03/wings-n-things-favorite-meal/ Other than that, the place is kind-of a sports-bar type establishment. Nothing fancy, but not utter dive either. Service is friendly and usually prompt. Beer selection is kinda meh... but I usually find something I like. *OK... why not a 5-star review? It's really because it's not exactly fine dining. Call me old-fashioned, but I'm saving 5 stars for fancier places -- at least ones that serve food with utensils ;) read more

We tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday, Sunday 5-14-2023 for Mother's Day. We used to always go to Wings 'n Weenies in Sarasota, but unfortunately they just closed. We ordered 50 wings, buffalo-style, to share. I had looked on Yelp before coming, so I knew to order the wings 'extra crispy, DRY'. The Yelp review I had read advised that this restaurant's "regulars" knew to order it this way, because otherwise, the wings have too much sauce and come out soggy. However, our waiter (a very friendly & nice guy) advised not to listen to Yelp, that we should trust him and NOT order them 'DRY'. Which we did. Our wings had the right amount of heat. From Yelp, I knew to ask for 'Hot' instead of 'medium', because this restaurant's 'hot' was like other place's 'medium'. So the heat on our wings was fine. When the wings first arrived at our table, they were nice and crispy, how we like them. But they got soggy really fast. We ended up disappointed. I'm not sure we will give this place another try. So we still need to find a new wings place, where we can get crispy Buffalo hot wings, to replace Wings 'n Weenies. Any suggestions from Yelp would be appreciated. read more

I went for lunch today for wings and a beer. The only thing I can say is the beer was cold. I ordered wings, crispy with sauce on the side. The wings came out and were undercooked, skin was like rubber. They sucked, find a cook that can cook wings, not that difficult. Won't be going back there again read more

This place used to be really good when I was growing up, now the wings are soggy and not crispy at all. The "large fry" must be a cruel joke, because the only thing large about them is the price. read more

Been here twice now...good wings and beer the last time...this time good BLT and beer special! Not fancy, Not crowded, it's a Sunday night...think this is my new favorite spot...close to home, simple, easy....that's what I like. read more

Wings are pretty damn good. Napalm and Hot tasted exactly the same to me though. It also tasted just like Franks Hot Sauce. Nonetheless...still yummy, esp if you get them EXTRA crispy! Nachos were insanely huge and yummy! IF you get the nachos, you cannot eat anything else. Bartenders are very nice but can get overwhelmed on Saturday night with trivia. Oh and some the regulars who play trivia cheat & look up the answers on their phones ... jerks. Will for sure be back! read more

This place has the BEST chicken wings!! Ordered my wings medium, but I would definitely do them HOT next time.

Perhaps we were there on an off night as other reviews were very positive and encouraging. Our experience however was not Quite as good. It was burger night ours was ordered medium rare and came out well done, they were apparently understaffed as we couldn't find the waitress for the majority of the night to send it back and have it corrected. The appearance and Atmosphere of the restaurant was disappointing. We sat by the door and every time it opened all of the smoke from smokers standing right outside - came in on our food and table. Not sure that I'll try again but I didn't try the wings which others seem to love. read more

Great service! The wings were amazing. I got the teriyaki sauce and my boyfriend got the medium sauce; both were great flavors. The sweet tea was the perfect amount of diabetes. If you don't like authentic southern sweet, then don't get it. The curly fries were homemade which was a nice, but they were very soft and greasy. Overall, a great place if you're looking for good wings in the area! read more

My sister and I ordered take out on Christmas Eve from here because they were one of the few places open and we had been wanting to try their food. I'm so glad we did! We got an order of their buffalo wings and a meatball sub and split them. The food was excellent! The only thing I would do different next time would be to order the wings hot instead of medium. In my opinion the medium didn't really have too much of a kick. The meatball sub was one of the best I have had. read more

Stopped in after church. Thought it was pricey looking at the menu. When the food came, WOW! The wings were huge! Got an order of 15, took five home. Also got a basket of mixed veggies, took most of that home too! I know what's for dinner tonight! read more

Are used to go to wings and things 25 years ago on Cortez Road in Bradington Florida we quit going because the winds got so small it was ridiculous. We recently went back to give it another try and nothing has changed. It tasted good but they were so small I would never go back read more

Worse place ever. It don't even need a 1 Star! We sat at the table for 10mins and never once got a hello or nothing and no one even took our order. Wasn't a Welcoming environment that is for sure. I will not ever go back to this ever again and I will let everyone know not to go either. read more

Let me just start off by saying my boyfriend eat from here a lot STILL.. Okay so when I first ordered from them my boyfriend was like can you order for me sometimes they are kinda racist and I'm like okay.. still ordered from them. No problem the first time except for a couple dirty looks from the men outside blocking the door drinking beers it's a fucking pandemic why is he right in front of the door with no mask... I didn't eat the food so I was fine. Second time I called for wings and I was taken back by how RUDE the phone was answered.. brushed it off. So when I asked her to tell a FEW non traditional wings as it was my first time trying to eat from here. She signed caught and attitude with me and said I don't have time then put me on hold for 7 minutes... you're already on the phone with me you could've told me any random wings seeing as they have NO ONLINE MENU SO I HAD NO IDEA WHAT KINDA WINGS THEY HAVE! After that I was done ONLY reason we still got the food from there was because my boyfriend called back himself and placed the order I was done. I'm not spending my money with people who don't even respect me. Or show me respect. No I understand what he meant by they are a little racist. I wouldn't recommend this place to any minority or person of color. If I could do NO STARS I would. read more

The worst experience. We got there and sat server mike took our order and we only got the appetizer and our wings took an hr and to find out the food wasn't even made yet. Of course everyone is eating except us we will never go back again. read more

Really good wings, anyway you like 'em! My husband and I love wings and we are always sampling the local offerings. Wings & Things is in our top 3! read more

Maybe I should have tried the bone in wings. I tried the boneless wings which looked over cooked and really unappetizing. I love buffalo wings, but this sauce was more like pure oil with an orange color. It was so salty I couldn't even finish the chicken. The 'curly fries' were so thin it was like eating spaghetti. I just don't like mine like that. I don't think I'll come here again. read more

So my husband and I have been going to another wing place for years (we will not name it so we don't upset them). They were good but something told us there had to be somewhere else that was better. We had heard rave reviews about this place over the years, but it is across town and we never really found ourselves in the area. Well we were in the neighborhood today and finally made the stop. When I say that these were some of the best wings I've ever had, I truly mean it. Everything was made fresh! My husband ordered jalapeño poppers and I got fried zucchini and it looked like it was something we would have made by hand at home (and tasted as good too). You could tell and taste that the potatoes had just been cut for the fries. And we both tried 2 different sauces on our wings, and I'm convinced you can't find a sauce you won't like! The ranch was on point and the poppers came with some sort of horseradish sauce that was to die for. It was the best lunch decision we have made in a very long time. We will forever make the drive across town! read more

Best wings, cook needs to chill with the waitress, but great food . Definitely be back.

This place is a great neighborhood bar! If you're looking for something fancy you're in the wrong place. So far everything I tried eating is real good and plentiful. The staff is very friendly and so are the regulars. My fav is the wings with the honey burban and the chicken salad is insane. I go at least once a week if not more for a beer and to say hello. OK after spending time in Buffalo NY, and the Anchor Bar, you become somewhat of a wing eating aficionado. I am always skeptical of wings when I see them on the menu, most do not make wings I can appreciate. That being said, this place does it all even down to the curly fries. The menu is very good, have eaten several different offerings and satisfied with all. Great place to hang for a plate of forbidden foods....and nice to come in and pick up a sack for lunch. read more

Monday 50 cent wings. Up until a couple months ago the service was great, now the only good server in the place is the owners daughter Stephanie. It takes forever to get 10 wings. The other girl in this establishment is useless. Wings are good. Service is horrible. Have been going for over a year but will start looking for another wing restaurant. C. Allen read more

Wings-N-Things! What is going on with the wing prices?? Seems like a 40% jump in price that came out of nowhere. Your food is fantastic, bartenders are great, and we love this place, but what's going on? Always our go to for wings and the staff is wonderful - don't get me wrong. Just disappointed with the price jump - Hooters is (unfortunately) cheaper now. read more

Wings are delicious and good size. We've had takeout a couple of times and dined in once. Monday is .65 wing night dine in only.

Best wings in town!!! Also love trivia nights on Tuesdays and Saturdays! My kids beg me to take them there every week!

Wings & Things has the biggest wings in the area. They make handmade hamburgers and have good potato skins and onion rings. There is a variety of ice cold beer with Stella on tap. They make a cherry mustard sauce for the onion rings but I like to dip my wings in it too. There are alot of TV"s and outside seats. Happy hour. Sports Bar read more
