Waitress was nice Food was overpriced and mediocre at best. I got a cheeseburger...fries were undercooked. Burger didn't seem to have any seasoning of the meat. Boyfriend got the buffalo chicken grilled cheese. Didn't even finish 1/4 of it. He did get the bacon and Brussels sprouts appetizer and it was ok. Won't be back though read more

Our experience in this restaurant was not what we expected. Curiously, we have previously placed online orders and the food had seemed much better, so we decided to try the service in the restaurant. We ordered some nachos as a starter, which took approximately 10 minutes to arrive. Unfortunately, they arrived cold and, although we asked that they be heated again, they told us that they could not reheat food that had already been served. Instead, they offered us hot cheese to accompany them, but it cooled down in a matter of about four minutes, so the solution was not really effective. As for the food, our experience was approximately 6/10. The flavors were not as expected and some dishes were quite dry. The chicken wings, which are usually an excellent option especially during the football season, were dry and tasteless. On the other hand, the chicken in the burrito bowl was cooked, but its flavor was not pleasant or appetizing; it had a sour and rather tasteless taste, which meant that the dish did not meet our expectations either. The service was a 7/10. Our waitress served us relatively quickly and tried to help us with the inconvenience of the nachos. However, during the rest of the meal we felt that there was a lack of a little more attention. There was no follow-up to know if we needed anything else, if everything was fine with our dishes or if we wanted to recharge our drinks. In addition, when we asked for the nachos to be reheated, we were told that food that had already been served could not be reheated. We understand that this may be an establishment policy and that the waitress does not necessarily have control over it, but we consider that the situation could have been handled in a more satisfactory way for the client. The atmosphere was normal and I have no negative comments about it. In general, unfortunately I would not return to this restaurant nor would I consider ordering food for delivery again. We expected a much better experience, especially since we had previously enjoyed the food of this same establishment more through online orders! read more

The Sarasota location has a super chill, welcoming vibe, making it ideal for casual hangouts with friends. Ok, not sure how this place has 3 stars. In from out of town, stopped in for lunch expecting just plain old bar food. That could not be further from the truth. Everything was elevated a level above what we expected. My only warning, don't order the cheese sticks, if you do you will never be able to eat them anywhere else! Our server Moriah was awesome, and the manager heard we were first timers and stopped by the table to check on us and drop off a gift. We will definitely be back! read more

Great experience on Saturday afternoon! Food & service were awesome! Loved the atmosphere too. We ordered an appetizer pretzel, grilled chicken breast w/ fries and a Mushroom Burger w/Cole slaw. All of it was cooked to perfection! Hubby loved the Cole slaw. He's very picky about it and he said it was fresh and flavorful. Will be back!! read more

Food + Beer - Small side fries - Burgers Near Me - Bradenton, Florida

I order from Food + Beer regularly, and unfortunately, this location continues to disappoint when it comes to customer service. Today, I ordered 100 wings and fries. One of my favorite flavors is the PB&J wings, but this batch was extremely spicy--far spicier than I've ever had before. Since I'm a regular customer, I know how they're supposed to taste. I brought that portion of the order back to the restaurant. The hostess told me, "They're always that spicy." I respectfully disagreed because I've ordered that flavor many times. She then said to just keep the wings because, once food leaves the restaurant, they can't serve it again, which I completely understand. I come from a family that owned three restaurants, so I'm familiar with food safety policies. What really disappointed me was the interaction with the general manager. He came over, asked for the wings back, and then said, "I thought you didn't like them." It wasn't necessarily what he said--it was the sarcastic tone and attitude behind the comment. Customer service is about making customers feel heard and respected, not dismissed or mocked. Yes, they remade the wings in another flavor, and I appreciate that. However, this review isn't about the wings--it's about the principle of how customers are treated. Sadly, this isn't my first negative experience at this location. On my very first visit, I was seated and waited over 20 minutes without anyone even coming to take a drink order. I quietly got up, left, and drove to another Food + Beer location, where I had a great experience. This particular location consistently falls short compared to the others. The customer service simply doesn't reflect the level of hospitality customers should receive. Businesses like Chick-fil-A and Publix have built loyal customers because they understand that service matters just as much as the product. I'll be contacting corporate to share my experience, and I'll also be leaving reviews on other platforms. My money spends just like everyone else's, and as a loyal customer, I expect to be treated with respect. I genuinely hope management takes this feedback seriously because this location has the potential to be much better. Do better. read more

The kitchen is a mess. The service is OK and constantly changing staff. Over the past month we had to send back meals several times. Hopefully they can get it together. read more

Food was good. Wings were good do wish there was a little bit more meat on them but was crispy. Our waitress was amazing and helpful. Our food showed up pretty quick. They have plenty of TV's to watch sports games. They do have an indoor/outdoor bar. They also have outdoor sitting. There was no wait to be seated even though it is a Friday night. Would recommend if you like good food and watching sports events. It is family friendly. It is a little pricey, for 3 people just a little under $100. read more

Great food and service. Nice atmosphere with tons of TVs. Fantastic wait staff even when they get busy. Great place to watch the game.

I got the Cubano sandwich. It was okay, not great. I chose chips instead of fries. I was disappointed to learn chips meant tortilla chips, not potato chips and I swear they were out of a bag, not fresh. I wanted the steak 'n cheese sandwich but cheese whiz Instead of melted real cheese. Are you joking? Being a sports bar tells me they serve typical bar food. i can't tell what this restaurant is trying to be. Most likely I will not go back. read more

To go order....... I love go to eat and chat here, but we decided to place an order to go instead. I really wanted a large pretzel (I've never tried one here), and theirs looked like your typical bavarian. It ended up being donut textured and flavored () and burned. I'll go to Detwiler's every single time instead of guessing if it's like theirs. YUK! read more

The wait for takeout is twice the time that's given when you place the order. Don't get me started on the noise level. Absolutely not.

Food is good. Beer is cold. The name says it all. However it should add extremely mind hurting LOUD. on request they would not lower volume.

Ordered. Steak and cheese with fries. The sandwich was so drenched in cheese iz the steak fell out of the bread. Bread was soggy with cheese. Cheese tasted like it came out of a can. The fries looked over cooked but were also very soggy. Food was aweful. Made me sick to my stomach. read more

I've been to two locations and both were mediocre at best. The vibe is cool, I guess. Typical sports bar where the semi-wealthy can mingle with the less than wealthy; we all get along over a few beers and a game. Staff is typical as well, service industry aficionados that can't meet the expectations of a more upscale establishment and seem annoyed by your presence at times. Throw in a "buddy" or "pal" just to make sure they let you know where you stand: "I'm cooler than you are." Whatever, I'm not expecting great service at a sports bar anyway. Biggest complaint is food cost vs quality. Ordered a grouper sandwich at "market price". I didn't realize grouper was an endangered species. It was decent but NOT worth what they charged. Overall, 1.5 thumbs down. The only saving grace was the bars huge open window and beautiful weather. I will not be returning. Think I'll stick to Bdubs, Chili's and Applebees where the service is better and the prices more reasonable. For a game? I'll hit a hole in the wall. read more

Burgers are cooked perfectly. Pink in the middle! Fries could be crispier. Staff is friendly.

Went for burger Monday, burger AND fries for under $7. It's a bit pricey off deal as the burgers are served without fries and add to the bill. The place was busy and the manager took our drink orders to get things started. The food was great, tasty burger and damn good fries. They have a good craft beer selection, and the staff were all friendly and attentive. We will be back! read more

Super friendly bar staff, GOAT grilled cheese sandwich is excellent, wings were great. French fries were over cooked. Drinks were good. The staff accommodated our request for a specific game on TV. A senior manager cared enough to ask about us as well as our experience. Very friendly. The only unpleasant part was the guy sitting next to us who was obnoxious and vulgar....probably had a few too many.... read more

First time! Wife wanted a good burger. So off we went to the Food + Beer on 53rd Ave E. Not knowing what we could get, we were humongously surprised at the tastiest burger we have ever had. Service was very good. Our server was polite & patient. This was a standard sports bar with TVs all around. Was a great experience & we will go back. read more

Too noisy. Monday special of cheeseburger and burnt fries left us on the toilet Tuesday.

i know it's new but service is a little slow and I ordered a Philly cheesesteak and being from Philly you need to get rid of the garlic rolls you served the cheesesteak on totally changed the taste and not for the best I also had their fries very good and I had their Cuban egg rolls which where good but the one thing that got me also was that the sandwich was a la cart and fries you paid for separately most places add fries. Nice atmosphere read more

We had a good experience here. Went during lunch time. Not too noisy. Attentive server. Good food. We'll probably be back.

Service was good. Ordered a rare burger. A MCDonalds burger was bigger! Turned it back to kitchen so they agreed it was well done! Refused another and had bill comped . Manager wasn't a bit amused. Won't be back. Oh and burgers are ala Carter at $11 and fries almost $6. read more

i stopped in for lunch last weekend. sat at the bar. service was good at the bar. had a few beers, and ordered a steak and cheese sandwich. was surprised that it did not come with fries had to order separately. that was strange. the steak sub come and was completely covered with cheese wiz. when i picked it up all the steak fell out the bottom, had no onions, peppers. the cheese tasted like it came out of a can, was horrible. the steak had no flavor even after adding salt and pepper. took 2 bites and felt like throwing up. cant say much better about the. fries i had order. they looked way over cooked and they were soggy. almost like they had been recooked. waited a long time for this place to open and i was very disappointed. i will not go back. I love steak sandwiches and that was just not what i was expecting. Beef O Bradys still has the best steak sandwich. read more
