Stopped in again and once again thoroughly enjoyed the food. Try the wing flight and the pretzel flight. Especially like the sriracha pretzels.

This is a great bar with amazing customer service. You have to walk upstairs to get to the bar and there's so much to look at on the way up and when you are up there. They offer food and drinks. I enjoyed the bar area which is where we sat! The bartenders took the time to get to know us and treated us with kindness! You can place your order and get it in a reasonable time. If you are a fan of music, you will enjoy The Fat Rabbit. There's instruments displayed as well as well known artists from all over the world. This is a good spot to also catch a game with TVs displayed multiple places. I do highly suggest that you check this place out!

I had an awesome burger at The Fat Rabbit. Called the Irishman, it was a large juicy burger with a bunch of melted cheese and a subtle sweet taste from their Jamison whiskey bacon jam. This is one of the best burgers I've had in quite some time. The Fat Rabbit is located on the 2nd floor that can be reached by going up steps or taking an elevator just a few steps away. It was lunchtime when we arrived, yet the place was barely busy. Being off season is a slow time, and a good time for locals to visit local businesses. We got a table by a window. Service was fine, the food took just over 10 minutes to arrive. Now that I've discovered this spot I will be keeping it in mind for a future visit.

Enjoyed an early dinner on a Sunday afternoon watching football. Austin was the bartender & very helpful in guiding us on different dishes we were considering. Loved the 80's music decor throughout the restaurant - reminded me of my high school days! I enjoyed some martini's & then we grazed off the happy hour menu mostly. We shared wings & pretzels -- yum & then I had the happy house nacho's with pork - delish! My husband enjoyed the short rib quesadilla. All in all, an enjoyable experience & the food was very good!

Upscale upstairs sports bar with plenty of tv's and high tops ; walked there after a movie to get our steps in. Kenzie took good care of us - my sangria was very good and the drafts were cold. My cubano was average but my wife said her burger was very good. Open late so good to remember if downtown and need a nightcap.

Returned to watch football at the bar on Sunday and tried the Irishman burger - Baby arugula, sliced tomato, bourbon aioli, caramelized onion, swiss cheese and Jamison whiskey bacon jam. Really excellent burger! We also ordered buffalo wings that were superb!

The Fat Rabbit is a nice sprite bar with a shot and dance floor. Saturday night it wasn't crowded and the music could've been turned down some but everyone seemed ok with it Not a seafood place as it says on Yelp. More of a burger grill. Pleasant staff and quick service.

Stopped in for lunch after checking in for the weekend in Sarasota. Wasn't busy and we had a nice table by the window. This is a cute sports bar with a nice menu with variety. I enjoyed the tacos and my partner had a tasty burger and sweet potato fries. Everything was tasty and fresh. The table next to us heard we were tourists and gave us some recommendations. This was a few blocks from our hotel and very enjoyable. Great service. The beer was great.

About 15 high tops, 16 seats at the back wall counter, and 6 window low tables. They have 6 televisions all have close-captioned sports. Hostess is super friendly, plus she is also a server, and food runner. Observed two bartenders and another server. Place was basically empty on this Sunday during dinner. Menu has several pages full of pub options, so we decided to share pretzel and protein, 10 wings, and disco fries. The pretzel and protein is one average size pretzel cut up in pieces with 2 sliced bratwursts. It served with yellow and spicy mustard. We added the beer cheese for an upcharge. Pretzel was ok nothing special. Brats were good. Beer cheese was good but the little cup it was served in made it hard to dip and scoop. So a bit frustrating to enjoy. The disco fries came with hand cut fries topped with cheese curds and brown gravy. The gravy was super salty but the fries were good. I would pass on the extras and just get the fresh cut fries. Today's special wings of the day sauce was honey Bourbon. The wings give you 2 sauces, so we went with the special bourbon sauce and the honey garlic. Turns out they divided the 10 wings and gave us 5 wings of each sauce. Bummer. We both agreed the Bourbon sauce was the superior sauce and got more to dunk all the wings. Local draft beers are limited with only 2 available plus the regular domestic options. For a pub, I was surprised with the varied selection of wines and limited beers, mostly bottled or can beer options. Parking is very tricky as this is a downtown tourist location. On a Sunday, around 6pm we found street parking but can't imagine later where folks will be able to park. The pub is located on a second floor with some seriously steep stairs but grateful for the working elevator. Overall, nice decor, pub fare, with friendly service, paying downtown prices and be aware of limited parking options.

As we enter the Fat Rabbit we looked up the steep set of stairs to the bar and thought "Oh my" I'll bet this could be scary after a few drinks. After climbing the stairs and grabbing a seat the elevator was only a few steps away! The waitstaff was right on top of things - quickly getting our drafts and letting us look over the menu. We ordered the Pretzel and Protein appetizer and the loaded tots. The pretzel and protein was great - came with regular mustard, spicy mustard and house made beer cheese for dipping. The sausages must be locally made - great flavor and the appetizer ate more like a meal. The loaded tots were good.... Bacon, melted cheese, jalapeños and scallions. Had a few drinks, enjoyed the food and service immensely and took the elevator on our way out. A definite gem in the area.

Cool 80's music decor and also cool it's located on 2nd floor. Nice, clean place with a nice bar. Good TV's behind the bar. Prompt, friendly service. I was a bit disappointed with my blackened wings as they were a bit overdone and not much flavor at all. The ranch dressing was 5-star. Menu looks very good so I'll be back to try some other dishes.

The restaurant has an upstairs, downstairs, bar and outdoor seating. We also enjoyed the Sangria. Our friend ordered a gin and tonic and a glass of white wine. He complained to the server how small the glasses were. Our bill for four of us was $260 which is way too high for the size of the portions.

We grabbed reservations for the outdoor area to enjoy the weather and were thankful for the shady tree cover. This time we opted for some bites and though the menus change seasonally, I would recommend anything featuring tomatoes. They use truly fantastic heirloom tomatoes that remind you what you're missing with the watery ones we get at the grocery store. Also recommend the Mediterranean Platter. It's full of veggies and the dips are YUM. As usual, the cocktails didn't disappoint. It's never a weekend in AMI without a visit here! Previous Review: 5 Stars for the best cocktails on AMI, and a craft cocktail bar vibe you wouldn't necessarily expect here. (Plus, the service is AMAZING) We walked in (no reservation) after dinner one weekend evening and we were greeted by Matt, who found us a spot at the bar. He gave us menus and a "wellness shot" -- delicious little concoction to wet your palate! Right away I was blown away by the interior and the menu. This looked like it belonged somewhere in Denver or Chicago, but I was thrilled to find it on the island! Matt helped guide us to drinks we'd like on the menu. I ordered the Purgatory, made up of Bourbon, chocolate bitters, agave and premium mezcal. It was divine!! We also ordered some warmed olives, and they were hot and so fragrant. Definitely something I'd order again at the bar. I was stoked to see they have a veggie-specific section on the food menu and can't wait to go back for dinner. I'll definitely make a reservation though, as it was pretty full. Next time, in terms of drinks, I have my eyes on the espresso martini (off menu, but saw a pic on Yelp), and the kiss kiss bang bang. Thanks to Matt and Emily who helped us with our drinks along the way. Sometimes these fabulous craft bars can be pretentious, but the service here was a huge standout. Can't wait to return!

I feel like the drinks used to be a lot more creative from what I saw on their socials and from what my friend said who went back in the day it used to be more of a speakeasy elevated cocktail vibe versus a tiki/dive bar vibe. We had to ask for the chips that are supposed to be given complimentary and then we ordered bread and soup which literally took an unnecessary like 30 mins or more to come out as we watched the people on both sides of us get their full meals before us when we got items that just had to be reheated. The tomato soup was very good once it finally came out, the rolls were good but nothing as great as the hype in my opinion for the menu. The drinks were good but honestly the starter shot given at the bar was my favorite which was a hibiscus Pom margarita which I ended up getting fully as my second drink. Service started out hot but then went downhill but that is unfortunately the standard of when gratuity is already included in a check. Then when it came time to pay it got weird when there was a simple mix up when my friend intentionally overpaid even with gratuity involved in her check and the bartender asked her if she wanted change and she said yes but never brought it back. My friend gave 3 - 20s on a $38 check (gratuity) already in but she wanted to tip a few more dollars because she is a very generous person and then when she asked about her change that's when it got weird and the bartender made it seem like she didn't understand why she wanted change instead of just apologizing for the mistake and they went back and forth for a few minutes with the bartender ending up just giving her the extra $20 back. Just left a weird taste in our mouths for the experience when I feel like any bartender would understand what she wanted to do with giving extra larger bills to split especially when she said she wanted change and it was a massive overpayment or if the thought there was a very generous tip like 30% would make sure with guest that's what they want and show appreciation if that were the case. It was just weird how it all was handled. The decor was on point for Christmas and the vibe was very casual but oldie vibes which makes sense for it being in Anna Maria island.
