We sat at the bar on the restaurant side, which was a really fun place to spend the evening. They also have a lounge side if you're looking for more of a darker bar vibe and aren't planning to eat. Mike was our bartender, and his expertise and the care he puts into his craft really stood out. He truly understands the art of a good cocktail. I started with the Aloe You special, which was exactly as he described, a refreshing spin on a margarita. My husband's old fashioned was high quality and perfectly made. I followed with a delicious Moscow mule, served in the perfect copper mug. We didn't get a chance to eat, but the couple next to us ordered the fried chicken sandwich and double smash burger, and both looked incredible. We can't wait to go back, try the food, and enjoy more of Mike's cocktails. Highly recommend!

They drinks were remade but unfortunately the taste didn't move very much from its original state, perhaps that's how the Spritz tastes? The pork ragú this time was missing that je ne sais quoi. Perhaps a change in recipe? The server too, they were missing that dazzle that Connor had provided and fell flat with her personality. All in all, the experience wasn't as illustrious as the first go around. Previous Experience: From the door being opened for us, to the moment we walked out, the experience at State Street was celestial. The libations were on point and I thoroughly enjoyed two orders of the Holla Peña, it had a wicked nice kick! Their fresh, homemade bread was excellent and served with a nice side of salted butter. My date took the special. The filet with the dauphine pommes and enjoyed it very much. She couldn't stop smiling. I had the Pork Ragu and I'll say...it is something I'll fantasize about for sometime to come. LOL It was CHOICE. Our server Connor was so polite, timely, knew how to read cues and overall made it the best experience out dining in a while. It's all how you take care of patrons with pacing and knowing your menu. He also had some friendly recommendations for the rest of our date and couldn't have asked for better time. We will be back.

The atmosphere is beautiful and has that elevated, resort feel you'd expect from a restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton. Our server was friendly and attentive, and everything came out beautifully except for the risotto. The drinks were definitely the highlight of the evening! The bartender really went out of his way to create something unique based on what I was craving. I wanted something salty and savory, but didn't want another extra-dirty martini or a Bloody Mary. He took the challenge and came up with something that was absolutely on point! Overall, it was a really enjoyable birthday experience. Jack Dusty is definitely a spot worth checking out, especially if you're looking for a nice dinner and drinks in a beautiful setting.

We were seated quickly and our waiter was very nice throughout the meal. We ordered the signature bread which was soft, chewy and unique compared to your typical restaurant bread, somewhat of an interesting cornbread. I ordered the fish tacos which were very good, the fish was crispy on the outside and thick meaty fish on the inside, we also ordered a mahi mahi fish sandwich with a nice ciabatta bread and a decent piece of mahi placed on some arugula, we had fries with both and they were thick and had a nice crunchy coating on the outside. Overall it was a good place to have lunch, especially if you're looking for outdoor ambiance. Food 7.5 Ambiance 8.5 Service 8.5

The food and cocktail menus were filled with tempting choices. Everything ordered came in a reasonable time, temperature appropriate, and we were all able to eat at the same time which is a challenge for some with large parties. Chef Paul Mattison was on premises and spent some time with us. He shared that the fried artichokes, were inspired by his grandmother and was something he remembered as a kid. Of course we ordered those and they certainly delivered. The levels of flavor and texture were outstanding. Tom was very humble and appreciative of our visit. Other dishes enjoyed were salmon, mushroom pizza, and meatballs. I Wanted a salad with shrimp which was not on the menus but they accommodated my request without question. All meals were built with levels of Flavor and throughly enjoyed. During our meal a band came and played at a level that you could Enjoy and still have a conversation at your table. MCG was very clean all the way around. Our experience at MCG and with Chef Mattison and his MCG Family was very enjoyable. On our way out I saw an artistic statue of a dog. I asked the host what it represented and was told Chef Maddison sponsored Guide/Service Dogs and for each dog sponsored you receive an awesome statue. I was told he had others at his other locations. I thought this to be a part of MCG's way to give back to the community so I researched it. I found the programs to Be called Superhero's on Parade through Southeastern Guide Dogs. Businesses that care about their communities in such a selfless way are a cut above. Bravo Chef.

Oof--this one was disappointing because I was really looking forward to dinner here…read more Our party had a reservation, and the hostess was warm and welcoming, seating us promptly upon arrival. Our server was a peach from the start. When my husband asked for recommendations, she shared her favorites and why she liked them, and he ended up ordering one of her suggestions. I had already looked over the menu earlier that day and had decided on the lobster roll. I let our server know that I can't have chives and asked if they could simply be left off. She assured me it wouldn't be a problem. When our food arrived, it was immediately obvious that my lobster roll contained chives and/or green onions. I asked the food runner, who wasn't sure and said he'd go get our server. She came over, confirmed the mistake, and took the dish back without hesitation. No big deal- mistakes happen. A few minutes later, she returned to explain that the lobster mixture is actually pre-made with the chives already mixed in, so they couldn't be removed. She brought me another menu, and since everyone else was well into eating at this point, I ordered a burger, figuring it would be a quick replacement. Once again, I specifically asked that there be no onions or chives. The same food runner brought out my burger, and as soon as he set it down, my sister-in-law pointed out what looked like baked onions on the bun. He didn't say anything to that comment and I figured I'd wait to ask the server. But by that point, I was pretty frustrated and hungry, so I scraped off the top half of the bun and ate about a quarter of the burger. Everyone else had already finished their meals, and I was honestly just ready to call it a night. My husband ended up eating the half of the burger that hadn't been scraped apart and said it tasted fine. What surprised me most was the lack of any gesture to make things right. At a restaurant with this price point and atmosphere, I would have expected my glass of wine to be comped or even a complimentary dessert. Neither happened. Our server remained kind and apologetic throughout the evening, and I don't fault her personally, but there is definitely à la k of awareness of communication that happened. Hopefully it was a one off. Unfortunately, the overall experience left me disappointed.

I had a very negative experience with the manager at this restaurant on the evening of 9/5/26…read more I came in to pick up an order, only to find out that a delivery driver had already picked it up. I was immediately told that this was a "customer problem" and not the restaurant's responsibility. I found that statement to be very offensive and dismissive. I explained that I understand very well how Uber and DoorDash work and that when orders are handed to drivers without verifying the pickup, it creates an opportunity for orders to be stolen. In fact, TWO separate orders were picked up by the same driver. That raises a serious concern about how orders are being verified before they are handed out. Rather than listening to what I was explaining, the manager became extremely rude and spoke to me in a condescending and disrespectful manner. He told me he didn't need to hear it, got in my face, and told me to leave while smiling and giving me a dismissive little wave goodbye. I was not disrespectful; I was very direct while trying to explain the situation and why this happens. Being treated this way in front of other customers and staff was extremely hurtful and humiliating. Regardless of who ultimately loses money from a stolen order, everyone is affected: the customer, the restaurant, Uber/DoorDash, and the legitimate driver who arrives to pick up the order. This also hurts honest delivery drivers who take their jobs seriously and do the right thing. Drivers like myself rely on restaurants to properly verify orders so that when we arrive to pick up a customer's already-paid-for order, we aren't blamed for something another driver did. We should not be treated as though we are all part of the problem simply because we work through a delivery platform. I have never had an issue with this restaurant before, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Drivers are also customers of your business and play a role in bringing business to your restaurant. A manager should be able to handle a situation like this without becoming confrontational with someone who is simply trying to explain what happened. A customer is a customer, regardless of whether they are dining inside the restaurant, ordering through an app, or having their food delivered. A delivery customer is not beneath you and should never be treated as though they are less important. Because of the way I was treated, I will not be picking up any personal food orders or deliveries from this restaurant again, and I will not be recommending it to anyone. Businesses depend on customers and delivery drivers, and the way people are treated can affect whether they choose to return. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from that will treat customers and drivers with respect at all times. Completely unacceptable!
