Definitely a disappointment this time! We went at 6:30pm tonight (Friday). The place was very busy but we were able to make an online reservation as we were pulling into the mall. We were greeted immediately upon arriving and sat right away. Our server, Justin, arrived at our table immediately. He was very friendly, professional and sincere. And with OUT being annoying, was vigilant in getting our drink orders and then our food decisions. We chose the chicken fingers & fries app, 2 burgers and a Cobb salad. Justin then asked if we wanted all the food together or he'll wait 3 minutes after our chicken finger app. We chose for him to order our entrees after the app was delivered. LITERALLY, LITERALLY 30 seconds after he walked away from our table, our chicken finger appetizer was delivered. WAYYYYYY to quickly we all thought, and we were right. Both the chicken fingers and fries were BARELY warm! They basically just sent us out an order that was very obviously sitting under the warmer TOO LONG! Shame on them for 'selling' dead food. Justin came by and apologized and took the plate. After a few minutes, the plate came out again, NOT hot but warmer/hotter than the first one. Our entrees were delivered about 5 minutes later. The burgers were cooked perfectly to what we asked for and the salad was cold. Now the sides we ordered with our burgers: Sweet potato fries, NOT hot and crunchy and served with pieces of their fried Brussel sprouts on the bottom. The other burger had Onion Ring as a side. WARM, NOT HOT, soft not crunchy, and just overall nasty. We were hungry and I did not complain when Justin checked back with us. Overall, the problem was anything fried. So whoever worked the 'inside' and 'outside' kitchen windows obviously were just grabbing anything that they needed to 'sell'. Bathrooms were clean but this was the first time that I had bad food. I personally feel that this was a completely avoidable situation...and I blame kitchen staff for not taking the time to serve their normally very good food. There are soooooo many other restaurants now in the area, they can't afford to take short cuts with their food! read more

Walking in, they already had a table ready for us since we were with a large group working with Mote. The service started off great right away--getting drinks going and giving us time to look over the appetizers. Since we were on a work lunch, everyone ordered appetizers, which meant we got to share a lot of delicious food. I ordered the Spicy Tuna Stack, and it was DELICIOUS. The tuna was fresh, and the edamame, cucumber, and avocado complemented it really well. Overall, I would order that again and again. I was also able to try the Brussels sprouts, which were vegetarian-friendly and absolutely delicious. They were seasoned really well. The last appetizer I tried was the Firecracker Shrimp. They were AMAZING! We couldn't get enough of them, so we ended up ordering a second round. For my lunch entrée, I ordered the Lobster Garlic Noodles. These are the only reason this wasn't a perfect 5/5 experience. They were good, but unfortunately all of the seafood mixed into the dish made it a little too salty. Also, another person at the table ordered the same dish and had two or three more shrimp than I did, so that was a bit of a bummer. Still, this was a great experience overall. I believe our server's name was Julian, or something that started with a J, and he did an amazing job. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll definitely make sure to visit again. read more

This yard house located at the University Town Center exterior restaurant. Parking never a problem for this restaurant and convenience. This is the second yard house I have been to. I got the tuna nachos and the nachos were crispy. The tuna is good and good sauce on it. I also got the shiitake garlic noodle. But this dish is a bit let down in comparison to Yard House in Tampa. The noodle is not fully pan fried with a bit burn. A lot of watery juice came out. Overall service is ok. Ambient is good. read more

While attending a nine day course in the area, we stopped by as a group to celebrate passing a test. We were a large group, arriving at the start of the dinner rush. A couple of us had a beverage at the main bar, and within 15 minutes, they had a table ready for the group. One of the reasons we picked Yard House is you know exactly what you're walking into. Their extensive selection or beers and cider on tap, combined with a solid menu that satisfies folks who want a full course meal and bar aficionados who want to take in a game while snacking on starters. We chose a combination. I enjoyed a draft beer of the sour berry variety along with, pizza, one of my favs... fried cheese curds. Others enjoyed burgers, pizza, wings, and pasta dishes. A congratulatory dessert concluded our celebration. Was in Sarasota for a work event and ended up at Yard House twice in the same day. For lunch I started with the Spicy Edamame and the Blackened Ahi Sashimi and loved both. After the event we made it in time I order happy hour food. Love the half of appetizers and pizza options. I had some Calamari and Loaded Pepperoni Pizza also loved both. I had to finish with a Chocolate Lava Cake. Service was great both times. For lunch we sat inside at a high top near the bar and later in the day we sat outside. On Saturday 6/20, we planned a dinner @ yard house utc. At 4:30 pm we text a message to yard house was told no wait , arrive in 30 minutes, we arrived in 20. We requested inside seating due to the horrendous hot outdoor seating. we we seated outside, they had no record of out text. The yard house should not have outdoor seating in the summer months, or when outside temps are above 80 degrees. The service was poor , and the door was not enjoyable as we were sweating with other outside seated customers. This will be our last visit to yard house. read more

September 2025 Came here on a Sunday afternoon, it was busy but not overwhelming. Sat in a big booth in the bar, very comfortable. Football games were on and it was nice. Our server was very helpful & friendly. There is a lot of choices, the ones we narrowed down & ordered were all great choices. My husband got the barbecue chicken salad, said it was the best one he's ever had. Rolled into Yard House for some fuel before making the dreaded trip into the mall. Smartest decision of the day. The steak bowl was legit, and the poke salad was so fresh I half expected it to swim off the plate. Even their Coke deserves a medal. It was cold, fizzy, and absolutely on point. Yes, it was packed. No, I didn't wait forever. Huge win. The vibe is wild: classic rock videos on the screens, sports everywhere you look, and enough noise to remind you you're not at grandma's house. And of course, Yard House claims to have the "world's largest selection of beer on tap." Adorable flex...but I'm pretty sure Guinness might want to have a chat. Living in central Florida on the Gulf Coast, we usually don't frequent restaurant chains as there are so many local places that are phenomenal. But, when it comes to Yard House, we make an exception. I have been to these in several parts of the country and they always outperform. Sarasota location being no exception. Atmosphere is always fun, service is always quick and friendly and just a great atmosphere to hang out with sports in the background. They also play old MTV videos with the music at just the right level to enjoy but not overwhelm. Food is always top notch. Lots of selections no matter if you're looking for appetizers, regular bar food or main dishes that are creative and well prepared. Obviously, beer selections on draft can't be beat. Please be very careful when you pay your bill. My credit card got hacked while I was there. The charges while I was there have never showed up on my account, but later that night (5 1/2 hours later) my card was used across the street (University) at Buffalo Wild Wings ( and I have never been there), and two more charges were made the next day on my card on line. Called the manager and he said that there is nothing he can do about it and asked me what I expected him to do. Wouldn't even take time to research it. Please be safe and check your bill as soon as you pay. My advice is not to go there, I certainly won't. They are not trustworthy and don't care!!! read more

Second time here.... Food is awesome and service is above & beyond. Walking in gives you a lively jump and quite welcoming. Bar was full and we sat at a high top for lunch. James was our server and was polite, pleasant and very accommodating on our orders. My husband ordered their hamburger (without a bun). Our daughter ordered 10 wings, 1/2 spicy, 1/2 with an Asian sauce. The wings were of decent size & quite meaty. I ordered the Double BLT & sweet potato fries. Whatever we wanted to change... he was all in to make us happy !! The BLT full of nicely cooked bacon. I wanted extra crispy sweet tator fries.... No problem. I asked about the sauce for the sweet potatoes. He brought us a sample plate with Honey mustard, maple syrup & most surprising was the Blueberry ketchup. It was delicious and became the favorite. My friend and i were seated outside and that was really nice. Our server, Julie, gave us menus and took our drink orders but she didn't return for about 15 min. My friend noticed thru the window our server was doing a lot of flirting with the men. Hands on their backs.. We honestly had better service from the wait staff from other tables on the porch. We asked for a refill of water and she went back in the restaurant and never came out. We asked a different server for more water. The guy who brought us the food took care of us. 100%!! For our server, she was awful. She gave me the handheld to check out but my friend had cash and our server never returned to the table... another server on the porch took the cash and we left. Came to Yard House for the first time the other day. People have been raving about it for a while (yes - I know it is a chain). The ambiance is relatively chill. A lot of TVs. Very much a more upscale sports bar. Waitress was very nice and helpful with the menu. We ordered the following: Ahi tuna nachos: amazing. 100% recommend Crispy wings: bbq are a must get. Would pass on the Korean crunchy garlic flavor. Comes with ranch and like a garlic aioli (bomb) Onion rings: good but lacked seasoning Ahi tuna entree: good but smaller portion. Would rather have the nachos Spicy jambalaya: very good. The sausage was spicy. The rest of it was normal spice level. Whiskey glazed salmon: would pass. Stopped by the Yard House while in Sarasota for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful everything was! We kicked things off with the crispy Brussels sprouts, and they were absolutely addictive. Perfectly roasted with a tangy glaze and a little crunch--honestly, one of the best Brussels sprouts appetizers I've had. For my entrée, I ordered the Lobster Garlic Noodles, and they did not disappoint. The dish was rich, buttery, and garlicky in the best way possible. The lobster was tender and generously portioned, paired with shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, and thick noodles that soaked up all that amazing sauce. It felt indulgent without being too heavy. The portion size was very generous (definitely enough to take some home!) The service was friendly and on point, even though the place was fairly busy and lively, but not overwhelming. Atmosphere - This is basically a beer hall with food service. The ceilings are high and the place becomes extremely noisy during a busy time. The restaurant had the AC set so that the place was uncomfortably cold. Service - Our server was pleasant. However it took a very long time between our order and the delivery of our food despite it being a bunch of sandwiches. Food - the menu is huge with lots of interesting options. I gotta say, I can't think of one negative comment to make. The place was very nice. Even though it's done in that industrial motif, it's still warm and inviting. The place has a great vibe. The interesting thing is that even though the place was packed last night, I could have a conversation with my wife at normal levels. Normally places like this are super loud when packed with people. The service was excellent. We asked for our fries well done. It's usually a 50/50 proposition they'll come out that way. Especially on a Saturday night when a place is absolutely jamming. But they did. We were surprised. My cheese steak was really really good. My wife's cheese burger was excellent. I could go on and on. Great vibe, great service, good food. The patio area is so nice and even when it's busy for happy hour-- we usually get seating immediately if we request outside. I don't drink often, but my husband always gets a few beers and seems like it's a fair price. We love the boneless wings with bbq and Korean (?) chili sauce. They let you do half and half. We also get the nachos with the salsas on the side and it's a huge portion. Great for groups. Happy hour prices are very fair especially in comparison to other restaurants in UTC. Servers are nice and surprisingly very attentive even when it's packed. They also have devices you can order and pay at, which is very convenient. I love yard house, this was the first time my parents had it and they enjoyed everything. You can't really go wrong with anything on the menu. I had the Nashville hot chicken and sweet potato pancakes. These were great and I think the syrup was also sweet and spicy. My mom had the fish and chips which she enjoyed (especially the large portion size). My dad had the blue cheese and bacon burger. He said it was the best burger he ever had and commented on the burger-to-bun ratio. Not pictured is the chicken nachos we had as an appetizer (we devoured it before I could get a picture). This place is huge! We were meeting a family member and were first to arrive. By the time they arrived, I was freezing as the air conditioning was on so high. Between the very loud music and the air conditioning, it wasn't my greatest start at a restaurant. Our server was friendly, although not very attentive. The menu had a nice variety of choices. I settled on the grilled cheese and tomato soup...since I was so cold. We waited a really long time for our food and thankfully it was hot when it arrived. The soup was very good. Have enjoyed this place for years. Finally gave into having their most expensive menu item ... the $45 -- 20 oz. Ribeye. $54 with tip. DO NOT ORDER THIS. Cooks are good at most everything else. I have my steak Rare. First ... it's too thin a cut to "Pittsburgh" it ( burn each side) for that charred taste/look. Came out medium. Poor. Can't be cooked rare or even medium rare. Cut was tough. I visited Yardhouse for the first time on this trip and had heard great things about it. I've got to say it was great the portions were humongous. I wasn't expecting much as the prices are a little more than I thought. But the flavors and quantity of the food blew me out of the water.
