I came here with my boyfriend and his mother and we were looking for something healthy and delicious and looked at food in the area and this one immediately caught my eye! It is in a very busy shopping center but you can find parking all around. When you enter inside the establishment you are greeted immediately by staff and it was certainly bustling. They are very patient when you are deciding on what you want and even explained the flavors for each entree. It was very easy to order. Lots of seating inside and outside and once we found a seat it was quite clean. The food itself was portioned perfectly and the flavors were very prominent. I ordered sweet potato noodles, rice, bbq chicken and sweet potatoes and topped it with green sauce. Everything was delicious that I almost licked my plate clean. I don't live in the area but next time I come to visit my mother in law I'll be sure to come by again. read more

As soon as we walked in we were really impressed with the lighting and how clean it is in here and fresh was there a nice lighting and it smells lovely in here. The food menu is on the wall so it's easy. Just walk up there and pick your bowl you would like. I got the two base which is a number six menu item. You get two bases, two proteins, two veggies and one sauce. For my base I got sweet potato noodles and coconut rice excellent by the way really tasty. Plus 2 veggies I got the mushrooms and the sweet potato both really excellent. And then my proteins I got teriyaki chicken and the barbecue chicken both really good very flavorful and juicy. I also got a scoop of guacamole on it for up charge, of 2.00 and I also got the vinaigrette sauce which was included. Service was really great. Everybody was so friendly unhelpful. It's everything taste great and will definitely be back again. read more

Decided to take a drive to Sarasota from Naples on a Sunday. So many options as far as places to eat, but my daughter raves about this place so I chose to grab lunch here. I had the 3 bowl with the sweet potato noodle base, sweet potato veggie and blackened chicken. My hubby has the kale Caesar for his base the chick peas and the blackened chicken. Staff were pleasant, efficient and friendly. Both bowls were absolutely delicious. We were both full after finishing and we spent under $20. Flavors were wonderful and everything tasted freshly made. Definitely worth a trip back since there are so many other items I want to try like the cauliflower mash. My daughter keeps hoping they will open one in Naples! read more

Fresh Kitchen is a local favorite and we've been to all their Tampa Bay locations (St Pete, Tampa and Sarasota). The food is consistently good and fresh, and very quick! We chose to eat in on this visit, and the one complaint is how filthy the place was. Food and trash all over the floor, and all tables needed to be wiped down. There were many team members working but all standing around behind the counter. Will definitely be back but will stick to take out read more

Fresh Kitchen is absolutely my go-to casual spot in Sarasota for a healthy and delicious meal! I love how you can customize your bowls with a variety of fresh and flavorful ingredients, making it perfect for any diet or craving. Whether I'm in the mood for grilled chicken, stake or Salmon, sweet potato noodles, kale Cesar salad or roasted veggies, everything here is just so tasty and the dressings and sauces are the perfect complement. You really feel great after enjoying a nutritious meal that's packed with flavor! The service is always fast and friendly, it can get busy at certain hours but its understandable since its located in a busy shopping plaza. I can't get enough of their refreshing fruit teas and healthy drinks, one of the a few places with low sweet and unsweetened drink options, they're so good! And trust me, you have to try their almond chocolate chip cookies! Made with all-natural, clean ingredients, they're seriously addictive. Whether you're looking for a quick lunch, a post-gym snack, or a feel-good dinner, this place is perfect. I highly recommend it! 5 stars for a great spot that serves fast, casual, and healthy food! read more

First timer and I was able to snap a pic before I devoured this delicious meal. I went all in and got the "6" so try it out. The guy behind the counter explaining the sauces was super friendly. Meg, a manager asked about my meal and said hi. Fresh ingredients, healthy and nutritious. Will definitely be back. Standouts: Kale slaw, maple sweet potatoes, baked almond chicken and the Holy Kale sauce. Also, super reasonable. Where can you get a meal like this for $15? read more

December 16 2023 - 3 for dinner: 2nd visit now 7 months later again on a trip up from Osprey to go to BJs. Well this place did it again from a food freshness and cooking quality perspective. Home run. Everybody was happy. However I still can't stand the bundling, ordering process and lack of signage and the 'servers' who seem annoyed when you ask what the heck is IN the entree/item? With the three of us we each at LEAST twice in line asked - what is that? Are X or Y in there? The two folks after me the same thing??? I think in NY or other cities they would HAVE to post ingredients and calorie estimate for example? I don't need all that but in the kale I was interested in if DAIRY or maybe OIL??? OR how about nuts in some of the stuff? Not that I care about that but others do. I don't think they even know what's in the dish they are serving? Sometimes they asked the person next to them? (ok beat this to death the second time there?) Its all about the food and they do a great job. The upselling at the end is also Frontier Airlines annoying! $2 bucks for spoon of salsa or tomatoes??? Avocado for a few bucks? Was there a straw or cup charge, I dunno. A bit of a dining Debbie Downer!!! The entries/dish are not inexpensive so I am not sure why all this margin grabbing or deception? Food great, clean spot (look in the kitchen window glass and serving area - its surgical grade!!! (smile) ) and parking was easy and awesome and FREE (wink) - ordering process is confusing, deceptive/uninformative, not friendly. read more

What the FK. No, I am not cursing you out this is the monogram on the door. I kid you not. Well, if Amy Winehouse and Bolay had a restaurant baby this would be the result. It's like Chipotle but healthier. The setup is essentially the same. It's not bad. But it's not great either. I think a point they could strengthen is maybe their enthusiasm because the food is lackluster. Something has to catch the customers and unless they up their presentation which is a difficult task in and of itself then perhaps, as I said enthusiasm would seal the deal. Maybe, I was at a hangry point when I came through but I feel like it could be better. The location is great. The shopping nearby is convenient for all domestic needs and otherwise so it makes sense to stop in if you want something fast, fresh, and with a few healthy choices. Will this be my first choice? No, I can't say it will be. For this type of food I would rather pay less. The interior didn't appeal to me but that may be personal taste. It's up to you should you get curious I did enjoy the vegan chocolate chip cookies and that's where I'll let this review crumble. read more

Thank you John for first explaining the menus and ordering and second for taking a moment to talk to my husband and myself about the company. It was pleasure to learn about the concept. We each had a 3 bowl and loved everything we chose. We will be back for sure. Happy they are opening one in FT Myers, which is closer to our home in Naples! Riding around looking for a place to eat. Saw FK and decided to give them a try. I had a veggie option/ coconut ginger rice- chick peas and roasted cubes of sweet potatoes. It was great!! I immediately looked at my phone to look for other locations as I live 30 minutes away / south county. Will certainly go back again if I ever find myself up near UTC. It was busy but they were well staffed and the line went quickly. Really the food seemed as though it was HOME COOKED! read more

Usually I love everything I order from here; however, the meats were way overcooked and dry today. I was very disappointed. I threw away most of the blackened chicken which I would never order again. read more

Get ready to be wowed by the fresh and very flavorful, unique options offered here. Sure, lots of restaurants do the "bowl" meal now but I like to think FK was one of the originators of the bowl craze in the Tampa Bay Area. After moving from Tampa where I was walking distance to the original Fresh Kitchen, I am delighted that I do not have to miss out on FK good eats now that I live in the SRQ. The premise here is that everything is 100% gluten free, dairy free, has no processed sugar, their sauces are homemade, they use olive oil for cooking (except for sauces) and they offer antibiotic free meats. So, I'm short, people with diet restrictions, limitations, and allergies can comfortably eat he The concept for newbs might seem overwhelming but I assure you it's pretty simple. I have seen many a first-timer look like a deer in headlights after glancing at the menu board and seeing all the options. You pick a FOUR or a SIX bowl; the FOUR bowl having two bases, one veggie, one protein and sauce. and the SIX bowl consisting of two bases, two proteins, two veggies, and a sauce. They also offer Kids' Meals, which consist of one base, one veggie, one protein and sauce, and Family and Feast Meals if you want to serve a crowd. There are a variety of gluten-free bases to choose from from buggies to rice and sweet potato glass noodles. I enjoy getting the flavorful and unique veggie bases which rotate on the daily. After choosing a base you decide what veggies you would like. There are several types that rotate daily and include roasted mushrooms, broccoli, brussels sprouts, green beans, etc. Next up are the proteins and they consists of steak, several types of chicken including almond encrusted and grilled or bbq chicken, salmon (for an up charge), and tofu. After that you select a special sauce to top off and tie your meal together. I am partial to the Holy Kale. On my most recent visit I got Avocado Cauliflower Rice and Kale Caesar as the base of my FOUR bowl. Then I topped it with chickpea rojas (veggie selection) and tofu caprese (protein selection) and selected the Holy Kale sauce as the crowning glory. All the selections were just so flavorful and I enjoyed every bite. Fresh Kichen offers order ahead to be picked up in house and I believe partners up with certain delivery services also. Try it out and let us know what you like :) read more

The concept is great, but the food can be terrible,, yesterday I ordered the almond chicken which was cold, I was also served the dregs of the sweet potatoes, yuck! Plus the ambiance is awful, noisy, the place is disagreeable. The servers are sweet and hard working. I have doubts about the kitchen hygiene though. I'll pass on this place next time. read more

Takeout. Can't speak to ambience. Feeding eight of us in the comfort of home while the kids entertain themselves. Two proteins, grilled citrus chicken and herb grilled beef. Three bases, crunchy kale salad, sweet potato noodles and coconut ginger rice. Three veggies, lemon garlic broccoli, golden spice chickpeas, and basil mushrooms. Two sauces, creamy white ginger and balsamic vinaigrette. Everything was delicious! Bowls, serving spoons, utensils all provided too. You can pick bowls and substitute as desired. Mostly healthy stuff! read more

Fast service, delicious and quality food that is allergen friendly (dairy makes my guts unhappy so this place is a gem!). My friend is vegan so we love meeting here and eating some delicious food while catching up! I've been twice so far and it's been consistent. Even when it's packed the line moves along smoothly. I do recommend, if you've never eaten here, to create your order online (don't actually order, unless you want to) and USE that to make your order in-person. I get food-decision paralysis sometimes haha so this method works for me. read more

The food at this place is amazing and it's super affordable- however DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY! They use DoorDash which is a terrible delivery service and they have delivered my food to the wrong address TWICE! Almost $60 worth of food both times. Fresh kitchen can't do anything about it except approve or deny a "remake" to be redelivered but DoorDash can't resubmit it because it has to be through the Fresh Kitchen site/app. They only have this one location in Sarasota so it's very unfortunate. I don't mind driving 30-40 minutes to this restaurant but like many many others- I'm at work during their operating hours. read more

One of our favorite lunch places. Choose your base, vegetable, and protein. I'm a fan of the quinoa when they have it. Lately been ordering the sweet potato noodles which are cold. Fresh Kitchen - 4-bowl with sweet potato noodles, cauliflower rice, broccoli, and grilled chicken. - New American Near Me - Sarasota, Florida

This is a fast food restaurant for health food. You get in line and wait for someone to ask you what you want in a bowl. You get some nice choices like kale salad, or spinach, and then move onto the vegetables. Then you select your protein and you can have tofu, chicken, shrimp anything you want really. The quality of ingredients seem to be good, but not incredible. The flavors were average, nothing special. The sauces that they offer, or a bit tangy, which I liked, and you could choose from several. Like most of the restaurants, the prices have gone up and significantly. For dinner bowl with the ingredients I described above you're going to spend about $20. If you're OK with that then great! I thought for what you got. It was a bit expensive. If you're going to eat healthy and want to eat organic or vegetarian, give this place a try. I think you'll like it, but you won't be amazed. read more

I'm kind of obsessed with this place. It straddles that line of yummy, filling takeout food while still feeling wholesome and not greasy. It's easy and fast and has impressed my husband and parents and friends who often lean more towards indulgent, standard restaurant fare. I myself prefer cleaner options and this is a good compromise to keep everyone happy. If I had a complaint, there are sometimes where I find a particular ingredient too salty or maybe not my favorite batch. But overall I've ordered from here dozens of times and 9/10 no complaints, just yums, so still an easy five stars. I hope the quality stays where it is as it's very good. read more

Enjoy this place for lunch! We stopped in during a Friday lunch time and each of us got a bowl. It is a 'build your own bowl' concept where you can pick the type of base, veggie, protein, and sauce. They have different combinations with a different price for each. I got the 'kid's bowl' (about $8.29) which was 1 base, 1 veggie, 1 protein, and 1 sauce. So I picked brown rice, almond baked chicken & mushrooms, and actually skipped the sauce. He got the same combo but he picked the brown rice with citrus chicken, and did an 'add-on' of pico de gallo. The food was good- nice and fresh. The place was crowded so we waited for a couple minutes for a table to free up. Plenty of parking. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area. read more

Fresh Kitchen is incredi-bowl! So incredible that we went both days we were in Sarasota. So jealous of Floridians for having a Fresh Kitchen! The space was open, colorful and has such a fun vibe. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking, too. The staff is friendly and helpful. Fresh Kitchen is a fast casual restaurant. You go through the steps and create your own bowl. Choose between four bowl (2 bases, 1 veggie, 1 protein, 1 sauce) or a six bowl (2 bases, 2 veggies, 2 proteins, 1 sauce). They also have kids bowls. Start with a base, then veggie(s), then protein(s), then sauces and finally, add ons. Both days, I chose a four bowl with sweet potato noodles, baby kale caesar, salmon, holy kale sauce and just changed my veggies. Fresh, flavorful and just absolutely amazing! I hope they open one in Atlanta soon! read more

In kale we trust great food. Friendly team and clean space. Everything I want for a quick afternoon bite.

The way I LOVEEE Fresh Kitchen there will probably NEVER be a moment I am able to snap a photo before the food is already devoured. I literally eat here everyday when I am in town visiting my family. This restaurant make my list EVERYTIME. I always get a bowl with brown rice and the crunchy kale caesar. The rice is cooked to perfection and lets be clear a lot of place can not cook brown rice correctly. The kale salad offers the freshness needed. The basil mushrooms are tasty, soft and lightly flavored. The lemon garlic broccoli add that much need crunch. always ALWAYS get the double roasted salmon cooked just right and the herb balsamic vinaigrette giving it a little tangy and the citrus avocado for the creaminess and parmesan cheese. DAMNNNN **excuse my language** I'm drooling and literally can not wait to get home to double back!! Sooo good and healthy and to think people don't believe healthy food can be good and flavorful. and I finish it with a source water and a chiwee strawberry. 1000000/10 recommend! read more
