Some of the best matcha I've had but not for almost $9. This would be an occasional treat for me! The shop itself is very aesthetically pleasing and cozy with plenty of seating. Not so hidden in the back are little trinkets and art sold my local artists (I'm guessing). This is a nice touch and way to get to know local artists.

Grateful to have them! High quality food, teas and coffee! They make their cashew cheese in house, along with most everything else! Feel good physically and mentally when you visit this place! I had the bagels with cashew cheese and microgreens, an unsweetened matcha latte with coconut milk and a jasmine tea. All perfect, and I am very particular lol

I was delighted this week to discover this wonderful all plant based bakery / coffee shop / smoothie place. It is so worth the trip-You can hang out in the very cool ambience while sipping coffee and enjoying a Turkish bagel with homemade cashew cream cheese or numerous bakery items or a healthy smoothie, or you can take everything to go. I bought so many things, and every single item was so good! They only use natural sweeteners with low glycemic index and no artificial sweeteners. If you're looking for a great taste, better health, helping our planet or kindness to animals you've gotta check this place out. The staff are also so nice and helpful and welcoming.

My wife and I had such a wonderful experience at Root & Seed! The atmosphere is cozy, bright, and welcoming - a perfect spot to enjoy a healthy meal. We tried the avocado toast, morning muffin, tiramisu, and the peanut caramel cake. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The avocado toast was light yet satisfying, the muffin had just the right amount of sweetness, and both desserts were absolutely amazing - rich in flavor but still felt guilt-free. Also they have such a nice flavor and fresh coffees It's so refreshing to find a fully gluten-free and plant-based café with this level of quality. The staff was kind and very friendly, and you can really tell they care about offering wholesome, delicious food. Definitely a place we'll be coming back to -highly recommended!

This place is truly authentic. My coworker and I stumbled upon this place for a quick little pick-me-up and everything looks like it was created with the most attention to detail. The lady who owns this place, Irem, was very kind and her creativity absolutely radiates through her homemade beverages and snacks/desserts. We ordered the Iced Coconut Matcha, a combo we have never had before and oh..my...goodness. Absolutely delicious! We will be back to try more!

How does that happen when you know you have an event like this on a Saturday? We ordered the chips and guacamole, which was a mistake. The chips were way too thick and were stale. The guacamole was bland. I am used to garlic and lime in guacamole and this had none.

Calling in an order for tacos, not previously reviewing the menu wasn't the optimal approach. Forgive me if I stumble upon the exact names - the chicken asada, avocado and cambia stuck in my head and upon completion I asked for my total - $25. & change. Seemed kinda pricey and when I got inside my mind was partially absorbed by the cool surf decor and the woman writing checks at the counter who barely raised a brow to my presence. An older fella was in the back preparing - it was Tuesday at noon, a table of clucking hens outside, myself and two additional workers inside. Both visually unhappy bloated people that had an unpleasant stare and aura. My food was doing upon the counter in such a uncared for way that I thought to myself "this can't possibly be mine", it was. On the bright side of matters, the tacos were dense with the assigned ingredients, heavy chicken, fish and avocado to be sure. And remember three stars isn't a bad review, but there was a few things about the place I just didn't like. Walking in, my hopes were high as the building and ramp entrance was adorable, as mentioned, I really liked the interior design - but I must report the lowest grades for staffing - asking for a implement for hot sauce was not easy and seamless - it's a downer feel to what could be and should be good vibrations.

I would not call this a cafe. This is clearly a restaurant and bar. Which is fine, but not what the…read morename implies. However, that was not my biggest issue with the place. While it looked rather empty the bartender was acting absolutely slammed and frantic. We had chosen to sit at the front bar because the place looked rather empty and thought that would be easier. It was nearly 10 minutes before she even came to ask for our drink order. My friend and I have both worked in the service industry and understand someone being in the weeds so we told her that we understood and could be patient. Once our drink order was actually taken it was a while still before our drinks were made and served to us. That was fine. They were tasty even if my friend's Arnold Palmer was light on tea and heavy on lemonade. Not a huge deal. However, with how long everything was taking we decided not to order any food, despite the food looking pretty good. Boy were we glad that we didn't! We were there for over an hour and the bartender was in our sight that entire time. At no point did we see her, or the server who was helping her at different points in time, wash their hands. Even after handling trash or used dishes from tables. We could see them handling this trash and where the sink was (there were actually multiple sinks in our view) and they just... did not use them. So not great for food handling and safety. This was made even worse after we watched the waitress hand the bartender two glasses of water from a table. The bartender then dumped the contents and placed the glasses on the bar mat as if they were waiting to be used again without washing between customers. So, unless someone can prove to me actual food safety and handling training of staff that is given and enforced, I will not be returning.
