Chipotle Chicken - Buffalo Fries
Jimmy T.

Been getting buffalo fries my entire life, I will say this is the worst tray of buffalo fries I've ever eaten. The chicken was dry and inedible, fries were meh and soft. Chicken tasted like it was sitting out for hours and just got reheated. I'm not a snobby person, but I know I won't be going to this location ever again. How can you mess up buffalo fries? Plus I don't think the "regular" size has always been this small??

Yall im so sad, this use to be the spot in high school! Im afraid the quality isn't the same as it use to be. Granted these have been sitting for about an hour before eating but it's just not good. The chicken use to be like cut up chicken tenders, and these nuggets aren't cutting it. I also got breadsticks and they were hard as a rock, so disappointing cause they were my fav!

Ordered a Buffalo Fries tray for a party! Ordered over the phone, service was great. My order was ready when I arrived. The party loved it!

We love coming here for some wing fries. They are bombastic, service is super quick and they're always friendly. The place has both outside and indoor seating and it's never busy, good spot to grab a quick bite. I also recommend the jalapeño poppers.

I love this place. Was my first choice of buffalo chicken fries. Service is always fast and friendly. The vibe inside is chill. If you wanna catch a game on tv. If you want chicken fries with hot Cheetos this is the place too.

Hot Buffalo Fries & Mango Habanero Buffalo Fries

Wings Empire is a family owned gem in San Diego that delivers more than just incredible food it offers a dining experience rooted in passion and love. Their wings are simply out of this world crispy on the outside, perfectly tender on the inside, and coated with sauces that strike the perfect balance between savory and spicy. Whether you're diving into their classic buffalo or any of their other options, each bite is packed with rich, mouthwatering flavor that keeps you coming back for more. Their buffalo fries are without a doubt the best in San Diego. Crispy fries layered with tangy buffalo sauce, cheese, and the perfect hint of seasoning it's the kind of dish that hits all the right notes and leaves a lasting impression. What makes Wings Empire truly special is the family behind it. I had the pleasure of meeting the chef, Israel, who is not only skilled but one of the most genuine cooks I've ever met. His dedication and love for his craft are evident in every dish that leaves the kitchen. Speaking with him, you quickly realize that this is more than just a job for him it's his passion. He puts his heart into every plate, ensuring each customer leaves satisfied and eager to return. This place has been a weekly tradition for me & my wife and each time feels like we're dining at a friend's table. Wings Empire is proof that when a family pours its heart into what they do, the result is something truly exceptional. If you're looking for a place with great food, a welcoming ambiance, and that special feeling of being part of something local and authentic, Wings Empire is it. We highly recommend it it's our go to spot, and we always leave happy and satisfied! #1 in San Diego!!!

Wings very soggy my lemon pepper wings were drenched in lemon juice . Loved the bread sticks:)

The best place for wings hands down the cook stayed past his shift just to make my fries, and the service is always spot on whenever I work in the area I always come and eat here.

Garlic and Parmesan 4 Piece Tenders

I ordered the chipotle buffalo fries and 4pc garlic parmesan chicken tenders. It tasted average, not the best, but also not the worst. The tenders were a little flavorless, but the buffalo fries were very saucy. When I called to place my order through the phone, the worker talking to me was rude and rushing me. I could barely get my full order in before they started to ask for my name and pick up details. I went to pick up my order after 15 minutes (mind you this is the time they told me it would be finished) and it still wasn't done yet. I had to wait another 10 minutes before I finally got my food. Our second experience we got the chicken shawarma Brian's way. Everything was cooked well, but I guess although I like pickles, I'm not as big a fan of Mediterranean pickles. The first bite or two were actually good, but subsequent bites the pickle tanginess was overwhelming and just not so pleasant as I finished it. I thought maybe I'll get it without the pickles next time. However, after eating I got an unexpected headache that usually comes from ingestion of MSG. The fries were tasty... maybe there was MSG in those? Not sure. I've honestly had much better phenomenal shawarma in San Joes CA. I have yet to find a great Shawarma here in San Diego. Feel free to recommend.

Or the obvious care that they make each order? Tonight I got a Cali shawarma wrap after a long hiatus of not eating here(no particular reason). The wrap is such a perfect mix of flavors, it was stacked up with meat and constructed so well. Every bite hit nothing was wasted I ate every crumb. The character of the meat and the ratios of ingredients and flavors makes this basic wrap something that made me feel something. Eating it felt like having a meal with an old friend. Like when you haven't seen someone in a long time but when you do see them, nothings changed and you just effortlessly fall back into conversation like you had never left. Thank you Vine Ripe and those guys behind the grill. Ya'll are truly doing great work and I'm thankful I have the opportunity to eat here.

We ordered the 'That's My Boy' and 'Meet Meat' pizza plus their fries. Their deep dishes were light and crispy. I loved the sweet sauce, jalapeño and ricotta cheese combo on That's My Boy pizza. The Mastiff Fries had a wonderful crispy texture. They are like thinly sliced potato wedges. (Our order is without cilantro which normally comes with it) The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was clean. They did have two tv screens playing the sports channel and had a variety of draft beer options.

I had never had a smash burger before so again my expectations were a little more than the average person. They did not disappoint the flavors were so delicious. I especially enjoyed the garlic aioli more than I thought I would (it is more like a mayo for this burger). The burger came with a a handful of pickled peppers and mini pickles on side. They were good but felt a little out of place for my taste. This place is definitely more of a bar feel than I expected and smaller than I thought it would be, and the seating was tight with most all the tables being bar height. The last thing to keep in mind the parking lot is small but there is street parking, but is leads to residential area so it can be limited to. Overall the burger had good flavor and I will be back to try more on the menu. If you are looking for a beer with your burger there was a lot of choices. Also, if you are into sports, there are several televisions on with a few different events playing.

I was told this is the best place for Mediterranean in town by a very nice man on a plane ride home…read moreto San Diego. I think they are specifically an Iraqi style restaurant. Not quite casual, a little fancy but not really elevated dining or anything. Nice ambiance and polite, attentive service. We ordered the spreads combo platter that came with spicy Turkish baba ganoush, regular baba ganoush, hummus, and tzatziki. It was served with piping hot pita. This was delicious, worth coming for on its own. It was my first time having Turkish baba ganoush, it was delicious! The hummus and tzatziki were excellent. I especially love the addition of a unique crunchy garnish for each dip; chickpeas on the hummus, olives on the Turkish baba ganoush, pomegranate seeds on the baba ganoush, and coarser chopped cucumber in the tzatziki. Presentation is also beautiful, with all the color and each dip smoothed in a nice pattern. My only wish is that the baba ganoush is a little smokier. We also had the Ney classic grill which came with beef shawarma, beef skewer, chicken skewer, 2 lamb kofta, and breaded chicken. The menu claims this serves 2-3, but we probably only ate half between 4 relatively light eaters after our spread combo. I really enjoyed the shawarma; the chicken and filet mignon is a little light on the seasoning but the flavor is otherwise good; the kofta could be more tender in my opinion. I rarely see chicken cream chop in grill platters, but it was well executed. The platter also comes with pickles and rice and biryani, all of who I enjoyed. The biryani comes with almonds and raisins and everything has a nice sumac flavor. They also include garlic sauce and tahini; the garlic is really punchy. The jalapeno was crazy spicy. Everything is served on a bed of lavash, but it gets a little soggy under all the meat. If I were to give feedback, I would prefer the shawarma a little less salty and the grilled filet mignon and chicken a little more salty. Not sure why it's so disparate. For the amount of food, the price is very reasonable for a seated dining experience. One note is that they really blast the AC, so dress a little on the warmer side if you run cold. Come with 4-6+ people, order the spreads platter and the grill platter, and enjoy!

The moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted and asked if I wanted a table for one. I said no, I was hoping to order takeout, and she kindly invited me to sit at the bar while I looked over the menu. Right away, the atmosphere felt welcoming, beautiful, and relaxed. I ordered my food, sipped my water, and honestly didn't think I had ordered that much. Then she came out with multiple filled brown bags of food! First of all, the prices were amazing. Second... the food was TOP NOTCH and completely different from what I had the night before. Everything was packed with flavor without being overloaded with salt. Fresh, vibrant, rich, and incredibly satisfying. The waitress/hostess was knowledgeable, friendly, and gave great recommendations on what to try. You can tell the staff truly cares about the experience. I will absolutely be back the next time I visit San Diego again. And not that I recommend eating while driving ... but the next day on my drive back to Ventura County, I spread out my leftovers and happily snacked on hummus, baba ghanoush, and dolma all the way home. That alone says everything about how good this place was.
