Loved grabbing food here! The owner is super friendly and we had a great conversation. The restaurant is clean and there's plenty of parking outside.
Tried the cream chop chicken pita it Was okay. The Greek salad was good. There is a spice that I don't care for in the meets. I still feel that the kebab shop is so much better. I like their flavors and the let you have complementary sauces rather than having to pay for them. Service was okay. Ambiance clean. Even though they didn't handle the food, one of the cashiers that placed the orders kept touching her hair which was gross.
The hubby and I got some munchies after our tequila fun last night.... We tried the suggested Guy Fieri cheesesteak & it was sooooo yummy. We added extra cheese for that EXTRA gooeyness. We see why it's a favorite. Really enjoyed our lunch at Shawarma Guys! We tried several things, but the chicken shawarma and Wagyu Wrap were my favorites. Everything was flavorful, portions were generous, and we definitely left full! We went to the La Mesa location. Friendly service and a great casual spot for Mediterranean food in San Diego.
I have tried many locations for Shawarma Guys and their food can be a hit or miss. This time, it was a big hit! I loved my Wagyu Beef Shawarma Cheesesteak and would 100% get it again. I thought it was stuffed very nicely, but wished the peppers and onion pieces were larger instead of being small, diced pieces. I think it would've helped to balance the overall flavor as well. However, the meat was cooked to perfection and I was happy with it overall. I know it's a top 100 place, but I think they need to work on their overall consistency across their locations to truly make it worthy of the top 100 spot.
Second time at Shawarma Guys. My first visit was about 6 years ago at the South Park food truck, and honestly, I didn't like the food. I remember ordering their bowl, lemon chicken, wagyu egg rolls, and falafel. Everything was just okay.. nothing terrible, but the flavors didn't stand out. I gave it a 5/10 back then. Fast forward to now, I kept seeing people rave about the "Shawarma Bryan's Way," so I decided to give it another shot. I was meeting up with my cousin at the La Mesa location and even told her beforehand that I hadn't liked it before but it had been 6 years. I spent over $65 and ordered two Wagyu Shawarma Bryan's Way, a Philly cheesesteak, and (again) wagyu egg rolls. After the first bite of the crispy Wagyu Bryan's Way, I immediately remembered why I didn't like it the first time. The beef seasoning was way too overpowering. The crispy pita was actually really good, but the beef just didn't work for me. If the seasoning were toned down, I think it could be really good. My cousin and I was disappointed and we ended up going to eat at another place afterwards. Mind you, we love shawarma wrapped but just not here. Second time here, and unfortunately, it'll be my last. On a positive note, the service was great!
First time trying this restaurant. We ordered take-out on a Friday night. We ordered a waygu beef egg rolls, a chicken shawarma plate, as well as the waygu beef shawarma plate. The egg rolls were delicious. They were drizzled with a garlic/yogurt sauce and served with tangy and yummy dipping sauce. Both shawarma plates came with the following sides: parsley tabouli, hummus, and rice. The waygu meat was moist, tender and had a hint of smoke. The chicken was also tender and moist, delicious! Sadly when we got home, our meal was missing the Naan. Since it was too far to go back, we had to go without an important part of our meal (which was a bummer) and hence taking 1 star off the overall review.
I had never been to this location but was in the area with a friend and decided to check it out. It was super easy to order through the kiosk and make any modifications if needed. I got the chicken and wagu beef plate with rice, salad, and hummus. The chicken and beef were super flavorful and not dry at all. The garlic feta sauce was delicious too and paired well with the pita. The location was clean and the staff were friendly. It is reasonably priced as I paid $22 for the plate and it was plenty of food. Will definitely be coming back!
This place was 10/10 the bowl was $16 and filling, the meat was so tender! I got the egg rolls for free as I joined their app! I saved those for later as the bowl was already filling! Definitely shareable! Place was super clean and I didn't wait at all for my food. Which was great as I was on my lunch break. The staff was nice and professional.

Tried the shawarma wrap (Brian's way) so that it's crispy. Soooo good! Super crispy and super flavorful. I asked for the pickles on the side which was the right way to go so you can add as you go. The only thing is that there's always this grainy texture I get every time I eat the beef. I don't know if it's the meat or the sauce. Still pretty good and I will definitely come back. We also go the Philly cheesesteak which was so good! The right amount of sauce and meat with cheese on top. There's a hint of spice because of the jalepenos in it. The only thing I would change would be that the bread is a little toasted. Came out soggy but still pretty good. Enjoyed every bite.
I can for the viral Wagyu Shawarma Cheesesteak. It was very tasty with a mix of peppers, onion cheese and sauce. Whatever sauce they used gave it a bit of spiciness. I went at 3:30 pm on a Saturday and was surprised that it was pretty busy at that weird time The sandwich was huge ( probably 12 inch sub) so depending on how hungry you are, you could easily split it. I decided to visit this location for a late lunch during the week. I was so busy at work that I had to not had an opportunity to get lunch. I was able to sign off at 330p and head over to this location. The place was empty and there were clean tables and floors when I walked in. I was greeted by the lady behind the counter, and she had a smile on her face. I ordered the beef & chicken shawarma plate, Wagyu Beef eggrolls, and a bottled drink. My food was freshly prepared. I received my order in 7-10 minutes. It smelled wonderful. I paid for extra yogurt sauce and left to take my food to-go. When I arrived home, I enjoyed a delicious meal. Everything was prepared with great flavor, portions, and care. I had the garlic sauce and the yogurt sauce with my meal. This place is one of my favorites. I have been eating their food since the Southpark Truck days, phenomenally delicious. Thanks! read more

5/5- great customer service. Easy to order. I went ahead and ordered off of the company website. I asked for extra garlic sauce. It is delicious. The presentation of the food was great as well. Salad was fantastic. Hummas was creamy and nice. I will say the rice had a strong taste of cardamom, it was not bad, but could of been a little less. I was in the mood for falafel, and so my husband did a search and found this place. We placed our order online before we got there and then waited for them to actually make the order. I got the falafel pita wrap type sandwich. It was extremely salty. And I think the salt was coming from the pickles. There was a lot of dill pickle in the wrap and I usually am a fan of pickles, but this was almost too salty for me to eat as a matter of fact I couldn't finish it. My husband got the Wagyu steak pita wrap, and it was very flavorful. Very good. The steak was so soft and tender, and seasoned perfectly so if I went another time, I'd probably get that. The establishment is assuming from the outside. It's at the end of a dated strip mall with a few parking spaces out front and but in the inside is new and clean and bright and welcoming. So don't let the outside fool you. read more

Listen here! This place is bomb! My whole family enjoyed their food, including our picky 4 yr old. And the amount of food you get for the price is insane! Even the kids meal was packed. Our daughter had plenty of leftovers, that I helped her eat the next day lol. I wish they had a location in the IE & LA as well! read more
Came here after a workout for quick bite and was blown away by the quality and quantity of the plate I received. The wagyu beef and chicken shawarma plate was packed over a bed of yellow basmati rice with a side of hummus and tabouli. Meat was well seasoned and juicy, I made mini sandwiches with the pita bread. Their hot sauce was great as well, tasted like a watered down sweet Thai chile sauce but worked with the meal. Service was great, food came out quick and staff were friendly. Parking is a bit limited in the storefront but worth the trip, will be rotating this place in for after gym on the go post workout meals. read more

Nice place. As soon as you walk in, the staff is friendly and helpful with any questions you may have about the menu. You have an option to order from the screen or from the staff. Food is always good. Looking for falafel or shawarma meals that are quick and tasty, look no where else. read more

Came for lunch for takeout during the week and wow it was delicious and the service was really great. Friendly and I was greeted upon walking in and the food we got was so good. On the pricier side but the portions and the quality is good. I got the plate beef and chicken shawarma and tabouli was well balanced, pita and meat was fresh and hot. Also got the bowl and a fattoush wrap for the family. Overall clean inside and nice and strong AC on a hot day. A few parking spots out front. We would eat here again and they have egg rolls too which I didn't try this time. read more

Got the chicken shawarma Bryan's way (crispy) togo. I suggest eating it immediately as it loses the crispiness instantly. The chicken was dry and the wait did take awhile, around 15-20 minutes. Service was good and place was cleanly otherwise. read more

First time coming, the food was just okay the chicken and beef were both quite dry, and the portions of sauce are limited. The pita seemed thin and didn't taste freshly made it felt like it had been sitting around for a while. I placed a phone order and went in to pick it up. When I arrived staff were still working on it and I ended up waiting longer than necessary. Apparently my food was ready while I was waiting but they did not communicate with each other that I was there. By the time I ate the food was cold. Overall I've had better meals elsewhere and I don't plan to return. read more

Really wierd that I loveeee middle eastern food but haven't been to this restaurant before. I tried the cheesesteak sandwich and combo plate. Both were honestly amazing but if I'd chose 1 it would be the sandwich. Amazingggg!! Wish there was garlic sauce for the combo plate though. read more
Was invited to lunch here by a friend who highly recommended it. The restaurant had plenty of parking and super quick service. Greatly air-conditioned and super clean. Ordered one of the bowls and was able to substitute the hummus with more rice. Sauces provided are a must-try. Unique flavors. I enjoyed the spicy one the best. Listed in the Top 100 Places to Eat for Yelp 2025 is what brought me here. I've never been a huge fan of shawarma until my taste buds were awakened by Shawarma Guys! I got the Marinated wagyu beef shawarma and marinated chicken shawarma drizzled with their signature garlic sauce and served with yellow rice, hummus, tabbouleh, and a side of pita bread. Every bite was definitely a delight! I cleaned off my plate and was about to order more but I held off because I was right on the verge of satiation (I'm a big eater). Flavor reigned supreme and I will definitely be coming back for more!! read more

Many of the dishes they have are middle eastern with yogurt sauce and the hummus chick pea great for the meat they serve french fries you can have sweet potatoes .
Do you offer large hummus bowls with meat and veggies, substituting the rice?
You can substitute the rice on any plate for a salad for $1. They also have small and large hummus sides and al a carte meat options.
