Have seen this building for quite a few years, but never think about it when going to eat. Decided to stop after going out since it was on the way home and it was amazing. We were a little nervous because no cars outside and the place looked pretty empty. After sitting down to wait for our food 10-15min which is reasonable for how much and good it was, we noticed a ton of takeout orders. I don't know when they weren't on the phone for orders. I've never seen such a popular takeout place before, but it was a good sign. The food was amazing and the sesame teriyaki is everything I could have asked for. The chicken katsu came out huge and my husband was in love. Everywhere in town we have gone it hasn't been this large. You might be a little taken back by the cost, but it's well worth it. With all the leftover rice we cooked it up again the next day and it was great. I highly recommend for eating in or taking out. The wings are sauced perfectly and we typically will eat them with some ranch, however, we felt like the flavor of these wings is too good to add ranch to them. The wing sauce is so good and the wings are cooked (or fried) to a perfect level. The basic fried rice is so tasty with the house sauce (sweet chilli something?) and the portion size is mega lol. I ate all 10 wings and barley got through half the rice. 2 people could definitely eat 10wing/fried rice. All combos come with a drink as well, I got a coca-cola. The service is always great here! Every time I come in they are super friendly. The food is always perfect, consistent and good portions. This meal was perfect for us when we came through town on our way to California. Their family meal fed the whole family for 2+ nights and we have 4 kids and two teenagers. The owner and kid behind the counter could not have been more wonderful. I've driven by this place since it was built (2005), and I've never stopped. "Wings and Rice" struck me as an odd combination, and the name is uninspiring - it's kind of like having a sandwich shop called "Sandwiches." But, I'm glad I got lunch there last week. This is a hidden gem! I got ten wings (spicy teriyaki and spicy Italian), and a huge order of fried rice. Everything was excellent. Something I love about the wings is that they're meaty, but not too fatty. Some wings places (Buffalo WW - I'm looking at you) have really fatty wings. These are just right and perfectly cooked. The sauces were a bit bland, so I'll try other flavors next time. They also have cheesesteak sandwiches and egg rolls! Lots more to try out, but I'll definitely be back for the wings. read more

Some coworkers suggested I stop in. The menu is mostly wings and chicken strips. I think it's expensive for the quantity and quality. My son got a 10 piece boneless wings with a drink and fried rice. He was able to choose 2 flavors and get one container of ranch. I ordered a 3 piece boneless wings with small fries. We ordered an additional two ranches. We paid $28. We were able to be waited on right away and didn't wait too long for our food. The interior is small but they also have outdoor seating. It looks dated inside but seemed clean. The breading was very powdery and lacked flavor. They do offer a lot of flavor options. I don't think I'd go back. It wasn't horrible but definitely not extremely tasty. read more

I usually don't like getting fried rice at restaurants but this one was so good and we just got their basic one with their special sauce. We had spicy teriyaki bone in wings as well as garlic parm. Both were great. Spicy teriyaki had a slight kick. And the garlic parm had ample amount of parmesan. This is a pretty unique place! Not only can you get yummy wings, but they have some good rice dishes, too! We did the combo, picked two flavors each and they came with a massive portion of rice! If the idea of inexpensive, fresh, and simply but well prepared fried rice and chicken appeals to you, then you should try this restaurant. Other proteins are served (beef, pork, shrimp), but the vast bulk of the menu revolves around chicken and rice. The service is personable and friendly. We were greeted and served by what I assume was the proprietor who seemed to enjoy his job, greeting and serving his clients with a smile and small talk. The food appeared to be prepared with care and skill. I was impressed by how each kernel of rice in the fried rice dish was separate and distinct -- hard to do, but absolutely how fried rice is supposed to be prepared. The chicken katsu was perfectly fried, and the meat was moist. My chief complaint was that the flavor was mild and not very interesting, but the dish was otherwise perfectly cooked. The dining room is the least impressive aspect of the restaurant -- it's small, furnished with nondescript tables and chairs, but neat and clean. Some outside dining tables are set up on a patio by the main door, facing the private parking lot and away from the street. The daily specials are such that you can eat well for not a lot of money. I was impressed by the skill revealed in the cooking, although I found the actual flavors uninteresting. Each order is individually and freshly made, which has the consequence that you're going to wait for 10 or more minutes for your order to come out.
