Wow... I mean wow! We came for breakfast at 10am and decided we wanted bagels and biscuit with gravy. Both were sold out and everything we wanted after that was sold out too. So we just asked... "ok. What IS available?" and ended up with the quiche and egg sandwich with lattes. I sat my little butt down, sad, telling my husband I was so annoyed that we were paying for food we didn't even want. Now here's where the why for the 'wow'. I never liked quiche and after a bite of this one, I feel converted!! I am a quiche lover from this day forth. The egg sandwich was to die for as well. Salad, meh... didn't look like any effort went into it. Also, the portions were SOOOO TINY for the price we paid. For $40ish, I expect an actual full meal, but it was seriously verrrry tiny. Like, for children-tiny. Hope they can do something about this bc I left super hungry which was not fun... but overall, the food was amazing and the space was great for young couples and kids as well. read more

We love Wingen! When I first moved to Livermore I used to see people walking around with their sweatshirts on. One day I asked a lady wearing one if she worked there, she said nope we just love it! Couldn't really wrap my head around that until I tried it and now I see why so many people rep it! I haven't tried everything yet but we especially love their bread, baguettes (come out at 11), bagels!!, pizza! (Friday nights) and cinnamon buns omg. I think everything tastes so great because they use sourdough starter for a lot of their baked goods which I appreciate. I bring my family here when they visit and they're all obsessed too. My nephew says the cinnamon buns are better than Cinnabon! The vibes are warm and laidback. I'm obsessed with their stunning flower arrangements! The staff is amazing and you can tell they really get to know their regulars. It's dope that the owners are always out there serving food and interacting with the customers too. I really love that they've created a such a community here and I hope they stay a Livermore staple for years to come! read more

Maybe it was an overall bad day for the bakery? Service was bad, coffee was bad, food was just ok. The inside dining room is very loud and then there was also construction noise outside. Really enjoyed going here prior to the remodel. Will look for other options read more

I have driven by this bakery and seen huge lines outside. So on thanksgiving Sunday when the farmers market was closed I thought it was a great time for me to try this bakery. I've purchased two pastries, a pain d' chocolate and one Kouign-amann, and a round country loaf. The pastries where a bit over baked, although both were still tasty and freshly baked. I thought that the dough of the Kouign-amann needed a bit more butter. I've had others that use a dough similar to a croissant, however this one tasted less sweet and buttery. The round country loaf was the star of the occasion and it was excellent! Nice crunchy crust on the outside and soft inside. read more

Always enjoy the takeout and bakery items . The people are great very kind . Other than a burned piece of toast once for my avocado toast everything has always been very good. Great place to bring your kiddos for breakfast. I have not tried their pizza but I have been told by friends it's wonderful. read more

First, the remodel is excellent and the new space is airy and modern. We sat at the bar for breakfast and had a great experience talking to the bartender, owner, and who may have been a co-owner. Great people. The chocolate chip cookies were great! Tried the salmon on a bagel. Well prepared and very good.... But they left out the tomato- you have to have tomato! Especially in the summer- come on guys! The bread we took to go was very good. We will be back again to support this great local business read more

Hands down the best iced mocha I've ever had was here. I live in Danville but would drive (if I could) everyday to this spot for coffee. YES they get busy fast but it is worth it! Give them a shot. Found this bakery on my way to drop my wife off at work. The customer service is great as everyone has been friendly every time we have gone. We have tried their avocado toast, cinnamon roll, ham & cheese croissant, thumbprint cookies, the savory and the orange marmalade danish with pistachio. Our favorites have been the cinnamon roll, the sweet danish, the avocado toast and the ham & cheese croissant. I can recommend all of these. I am not a fan of the savory danish but that is more a personal preference. The only thing is, I wish they would make more of some items as they don't make more once they run out for the day, even if it's early. However, this only applies to certain foods, but unfortunately it is the foods that I like. Their coffee is also good although not out of this world, but still delicious. read more

This bakery is something spectacular, from the people to the food. I did a mobile order this Saturday (11/18) and they were slammed (which is an amazing thing!) I have to say, I've never seen a more efficient group of people all cohesively working together to get things done and with a smile on their faces! I've had a majority of their food items and I can tell you they are all magnificent! Their lattes (hot or cold) are also spectacular too! I love supporting local this bakery & I hope it flourishes! read more

Was starving and came across this place. Paid $13 for an egg sandwich which I swear was probably 4 inches wide. I don't get how others are giving it good reviews. There was nothing special about it and it was extremely tiny. You can probably buy all the ingredients to make that thing multiple times for less than $13. By the way it's just eggs and bread with a few more toppings. It's not even hard to make. This economy is becoming a clown show. How are vendors allowed to charge people like this? I almost feel bad leaving this review because the service was nice and the pastries looked solid. And it did seem to have a fun family friendly feel. But having to fork over that amount of money for something I ate in approximately 2 bites was ridiculous. read more

Quite frankly I'm surprised the bakery was rated so highly. I tried the lox bagel, croissant, tea cake and fig toast. The service was also slow. We had to wait over 20min for the fig toast and everything was overpriced for the quality and taste. The fig toast was probably the best tasting item but at the price and time we had to wait, it was not worth it. read more

I have been wanting to try Wingen since it opened. The backstory is so special/near and dear to my heart. This shop is truly a labor of love and it shows. From the customer service, to the food. Everything is amazing. The staff are amazing, so sweet and so patient. The food is delish. I tried their French onion bagel, everything bagel, and king cake..all three were absolutely fantastic, so well made, and so damn good. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu and sit inside or outside next time. So glad this gem opened up in Livermore. If you are looking for delish food in downtown Livermore, definitely check out Wingen. read more

Just left Wingen and had to post about the excellent customer service we received today and always. The twice baked almond croissant and honey latte are amazing, don't get me wrong but what's more amazing is the vibe while hanging out there. I generally roll in (literally) with my 1 year old and 3 year old, on my own. While we try to behave, sometimes our toys fall and we get crumbs everywhere. Everyone who works at Wingen goes out of their way to help but specifically the gentleman bussing tables goes above and beyond. The last several times we've been, he checks on us, makes sure we're all doing well, helps clean, and picks up hot wheels whenever he sees them fall. I really appreciate having a warm, friendly, delicious local business to feel welcome to bring my family too. Thank you! read more

Was so excited to try you guys once you got a store front. Went in this past weekend to finally try a bagel and cookie. Got home and tried the cheesy everything bagel and it was tough to chew and was so salty... these bagels are not cheap so expected great things instead I will stick to my Panera bagels. I also got a everything bagel that was straight from their oven and it was tough as well and pure salt. The cookie was not good either was dry and again salty. Was very disappoining since I was so excited to try you guys. The mocha was the only redeeming quality and it was overpriced as well. read more

Got here at 815 and didn't get out with my to-go order until almost 845 am. If you order just pastries you can get that pretty quick after maybe a 10-15 min wait in line. But then it was like another almost 15 minutes for my bagel. So I think in terms of efficiency this place has some work to do. However it's a very small town feel where the workers know some of their clientele. read more

Wingen is a true gem of Livermore offering delicious bread mostly based on "sourdough" styles, pastry and sweet offerings are on tap as well and though the food menu isn't huge and won't compete with a dedicated restaurant menu, the offerings are still numerous and you're certain to come away feeling as though you've just had a taste of something with thought and care put into its preparation. I'm someone who genuinely appreciates artistry and thought in most endeavors and as such I'm a regular customer of Wingen, having tried a large selection of breads, pastries and prepared foods. Wingen offers something you'll find almost nowhere else in their amazing semolina bread which is dense, heavy and full of unique flavor. I can't recommend enough buying some to make tuna sandwiches from; you won't want them any other way afterwards! On the same bread, they serve my favorite egg sandwiches which should not be missed by other lovers of breakfast based dishes, and they have a nice take on avocado toast I'm fond of too with a nice pinch of pepper flakes and olive oil to make a good balance. If you appreciate artisanal baking or want a quick quality lunch or breakfast, just give it a go. I don't hand out 5 star ratings often and they deserve it! read more

I'm surprised it has taken me this long to write a review for Wingen Bakery. WB is hands-down, the best bakery in Livermore. The bread, the breakfast, the lunch, the pizza dinners (best pizza too), wowza. let's not forget the cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and all the other desserts they have. I've heard such great things about Wingen! I'm not going to lie, the long line has discouraged me from going in before but I sucked it up and it went really fast. I was surprised with all the seating available, I didn't realize they open up the Waylynn room for seating and they have a patio as well. They don't have iced coffee so an iced americano will do the job. It was great with vanilla and oat milk. Their iced teas are so very delicious! I'm glad I got to try the BLT before they stopped selling, it was so crispy and fresh. The bread is really what made it memorable. I can't wait to go back and try these famous bagels! read more

I have been here several times and it has always been a great experience. I have typically gotten the bagels which are chewy, fresh and tasty. The cappuccino always has the right amount of foam in a ceramic mug. They deliver it to your table quickly. Best of all, this is such a family friendly place. There is a play area kitchen for the littl'uns. Kids art sports the walls. And the messages that on the wall are warm and inclusive for everyone. Such a positive part of Livermore read more

From the Moment we arrived Louise was so very friendly and Accommodating escorting us to their Patio. My daughter ordered a Salad and Focaccia Bread and both she and her husband finished them both off in no time ! We all had a taste of the Focaccia Bread, enjoying the unique flavor immensely. I also tasted a few Salad Pieces and loved the dressing with the Shaved Cheese layered on top of the Salad! Since this is a Bakery Shop I just knew that the crust on their Pies would be delectable and they all were ! Each one Perfectly cooked with scrumptious toppings ! We stopped at Wingen after visiting the farmers market that Livermore holds on Sunday's. The bakery appeared to be quite popular, with a full house enjoying what it had offer. We decided to try a croissant, a West Coast Supreme, and a peach turnover. After sampling each item, we concluded that the croissant was one of the best we've had so far - a crispy, flaky exterior and a soft, not overly buttery interior. The West Coast Supreme, while a bit overwhelming, was a unique and delectable choice. It's essentially a s'more in croissant form, with marshmallow fluff, chocolate, and graham cracker crumbs encased in a crispy croissant. The peach turnover was very delicious - crispy, extremely light, and not too sweet. It was the last one available too so I'm glad I got to try such a popular pastry. We look forward to returning to Wingen to try more of their delicious pastries. The service was friendly and personable, making the experience even more enjoyable. read more

Wingen bakery just became my bae-goal. Recently, I was hiking around Livermore and had a hankering for bagels and cream cheese. Thanks to the yelpy-algorithm, I was lucky to find Wingen bakery. I was pleasantly surprised to see they offered a sourdough take on the classic bagel so I trucked on over during a busy Sunday morning. Arriving early, I immediately noticed the line and a lot of sold-out spaces--this was a great sign. I noticed people eating outside and also a nice space inside as well. I grabbed some bagels to go; these were sea salt, poppy, and everything (3$ each). The addition of sourdough in a bagel means that the bagel experience is chewier and firmer; compared to regular bagels these were denser, less airy, smaller, and took more effort to eat. However, the taste and crunchiness was pretty awesome even in the absence of yeast. After chowing down on the bagels, I did some research on the bakery and saw it opened in June; the bakery has a touching backstory I suggest you check out if you have a chance (https://patch.com/california/livermore/livermore-couple-honors-late-daughters-legacy-new-bakery). Overall, this is an amazing addition to Livermore and I'm looking forward to coming back to try their other offerings! read more

Egg sandwich and avocado toast was so delicious! This is authentic American cuisine performed on the very high level. This is something special which we have not ever tried before. We really enjoyed our meal. Every bite was like "Ohh my god, this is incredible". It looks like nothing special just sandwich and toast, but it's really special! And made like a masterpiece to perfection. We were feeling like we were a special guests in the Wingen family. If I would be a restaurant critic I would give a Michlen star for this place. Wingen Bakery is a Livermore jewel. The hype is real, and it's the type of place that is constantly getting cooler and more delicious. Wingen Bakery has a very special and touching back story, and it is reflected in the space when you visit. I love that this is an inclusive business that actively gives back to and supports the community. The staff is friendly and attentive, and and the food is delicious. I love that there are some staples on the menu, while there are also seasonal (and even weekly/daily) items that come and go. You never know what special treasures might pop up in the bakery on a given day, which is so fun. Everything is fresh and full of flavor, and it's good to go earlier because items (especially the special items) do sell out. Thus far, I argue that the Turkey Sandwich and Egg Sandwiches are the best in the East Bay. At least they're the best I've ever had and I think many others would agree. The Veggie Bagel Sandwich is also really good. Don't pass up on the chocolate chip cookies or the cinnamon rolls. There's also a great coffee and drink selection. read more

Husband's review: Didn't care much for spending 30+ minutes in line, then another 10 for an egg sandwich, but I understand it comes with the territory of staffing limits and shop popularity. In any case, I ended up getting the aforementioned egg sandwich and a cheesy+everything bagel. For $12, I would have liked the sandwich to be bigger (for less than half the price, I can get a significantly bigger croissant breakfast sandwich at my local donut shop); that being said, it was quite delicious, as was the bagel! I especially enjoyed the cheesy side of the bagel, and generally it's hard to go wrong with an everything bagel. It's kind of a bummer they don't make an egg sandwich with a bagel serving as the buns - I imagine it would be excellent and certainly worth the money in size and quality. I think next time I'll get a cheesy-only bagel and try out some other items while passing on the egg sandwich. I'm sure there's a reason why I consistently saw people walk out with $40-50 worth of baked goods - aside from inflation these days. View of wife: waiting 40+ minutes for my husband to get his breakfast (a small breakfast sandwich and a bagel) is a bit absurd. I will say that the bagel was delicious-- but then again I DO have low standards for bagels... read more

The absolutely best tasting bread's croissant and bagels - be ready it's hella pricey

I've waited for the lines to calm down before coming in. I stopped by after running errands today, I got the $14 smoked salmon open faced bagel sandwich. I wanted to order an iced americano but they don't have decaf coffee. That was a bummer. I want to love this place it reminds me of cute bakeries in Providence. Their bagel was chewy and I could barely bite through it, it was also pretty thin considering the price. As I ate the last bit of my bagel I noticed a hair hanging off the baked cheese on the bottom of my bagel. Pretty disappointed since I got the food to go and didn't want to walk back down there. I might go back to try their other items to see if they are better than the bagels. read more
