Bev bakes wedding cakes and seems to have quite a following in the Bay Area (judging from frequent mentions of her on the local sites for knot.com, etc) In all fairness, I haven't yet tasted Bev's cakes (we have a tasting scheduled this Sunday) but so far she's been a pleasure to work with. She's prompt in her email returns, offers free wedding cake tastings / consultations (and she doesn't mind if your whole family wants to come along!) and best of all she charges reasonable rates (in an industry where everything seems to be marked up 200%). I will post an update once I finish with the cake tasting! -------------------------------------------------- ------ Update 3/9: Just met with Bev to taste her wedding cakes. They are AWESOME...even better than imagined! I tried: red velvet, chocolate + strawberries, marble and raspberry and they were all delicious - it's going to be tough choosing! Very moist cake and a rich frosting. Moreover, I was wowed by the samples...she baked THREE ENTIRE 6" cakes for us to try! (I'm having an awesome dessert tonight). Finally (the frosting to top it all off), Bev bakes her cakes within 10-15 hours of your wedding so it's fresh (never frozen!) As if that wasn't enough, Bev is the nicest person!
