Wing Station -- takeout only, no seats, no frills, and honestly, I went in with low expectations. This is the kind of place that makes you question your life choices while waiting for your food. But I was wrong. Happily wrong. My wife got the fried tilapia and shrimp combo. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with six wings. My daughter went with the burger. The seasoning in their batter is dangerously good. I'm convinced they could fry a flip-flop and it would taste amazing. My Philly cheesesteak delivered. The wings were solid too. A little on the wet side for my preference, but still well within "I would absolutely order these again" territory. My daughter didn't like the burger. Statistically, someone had to take the hit. Moved to a new city and wanted to find a good wing spot. We heard good reviews for Wing Station and had to try for ourselves. I ordered a few things to try... 10pc wings & fries - really good Small gizzards - very good 2pc fish (whiting) only - didn't care too much for (dried/chewy) Sweet Corn nuggets - didn't care too much for as it was more salty then sweet Seafood feast sub shrimp for extra crawfish - didn't care for as the crawfish was frozen and didn't taste good. I was told by my sisters boyfriend that this place has some of the best wings. When I tell you, they did not disappoint! The food was so good I forgot to take pictures. My wings and fries were nice and crispy the onion rings were perfect. I'd drive back to Florida from Atlanta just to have good food like this again. Not the best wings I've had . But probably the best on Ocala . They fry them right and the sauce is good. Odd combo Chinese food and wings but they pull it off. If you want some decent wings and aren't up for impressing anyone this is a good place to go. If you like atmosphere and a real sit down meal don't waste your time that's not what this is . Not good. The garlic chicken wings were bathed in a nasty oil, like they poured their grease put over the wings to get rid of their used grease! Tasted like it, too! If this is what they want to serve to their customers, fine, but it won't be me. Tried twice on two separate occasions, thinking it was just a bad day, but both times, the exact same grease pit was poured over the wings. The wings were swimming in grease. I was in town for vacation this summer and wanted to try a local spot and didn't regret it. The wings were solid and had plenty of flavors to choose from, the thing that suprised me was how fresh the seafood was. I ordered crab legs and shrimp, it was flavored well and most importantly it tasted fresh. I know this is a wing place and their wings are good but this review is about their Seafood. I think it's one of the best deals in town for some of the best seafood around. Dinner tonight was a shrimp boil, fried scallops and four pieces of lemon pepper grilled tilapia. The four stars was because of the scallops, but I debated whether to even do that instead of 5 Stars because the rest was so good. $13.99 gets you 25 perfectly cooked medium size shrimp with your choice of seasoning. We got the Cajun and it was delicious, not too hot, just right. You also get sausage, potatoes and corn. Really a bargain especially when compared with the other seafood boil places in town. The grilled tilapia was also delicious. Four big fillets, again perfectly cooked and seasoned for $8.99! The Scallops I won't bother talking about I just wouldn't recommend ordering them. Don't let the name fool you, good wings, but if you're looking for great Seafood at a great price this is the place. read more

The people here are wonderful and the restaurant is very clean. However the food was lackluster. The parmesan wings I had were fried without batter and then seasoned which made them dry . The cheesteak was just ok . It had melted provolone instead of whiz which is not a great thing in my opinion.However you could top it anyway you wanted ..mayo tomato lettuce peppers mushrooms onions . Fries were ok as well. I think the most disappointing thing about this place is that it could be awesome. You can get a sandwich ,5 wings fries and a drink for 10 bucks. That's a great value and a cool concept. It kind of reminds me of DC Chinese joints where wings are considered a side.
