Yummy, yummy, yummy! We had the Pulled Pork BBQPlatter. It was the special. Tender, lean, & oh so tasty it didn't even need one of their 4 specialty barbecue sauces (which I might add were all very good!) Our waitress was full of fine souther hospitality serving up our hot meals efficiently with a smile. The mac & cheese was different than what I am accustomed to. It was dotted with jalapeño sausage, just enough to add flavor. Greens were good & decaf coffee was strong & served hot just the was I like it. The old Western decor was clean with easy access. Good place to stop off I 75.

Stop here on our way down home And now we know where not to stop. We should have taken the hint when the server told us that the best seller was the brisket tacos... at a bbq place. Now the tacos weren't bad at all, they did need more fat since it was on the dry side but they weren't terrible. The corn nuggets were ok. The jalapeno sausage Mac and cheese was missing all of the above. Didn't taste like absolute nothing and the noodles were way overcooked. The ribs and the chicken same no bbq sauce could save them. Just not good bbq. I would skip this one.

We haven't been in BR BBQ in awhile, but I'm happy to say the food is still just as tasty as ever! A little on the early side for a Saturday dinner, but we swooped in and got a table right away. We started with fried green beans that were nice and crispy. Our dinners were brought out right after we finished our appetizer. Beef brisket tacos with jalapeño mac & cheese, bacon cheeseburger with corn nuggets, and a full slab of baby back ribs with the jalapeño mac & cheese and fries. Great flavors and just the right amount of food. My wife would liked more cheese options for her burger (American or Swiss were the only choices), but it was tasty.

Wow just wow. You can look at my past reviews and see I don't like to write bad reviews but this place makes me sick. This is a good example of great location, I don't know how they are in business still. The ribs tasted like they were boiled 3 days ago then cooked in an oven there was no smoke flavor. There famous sauce made me almost puke it was all apple cider vinegar. The brisket was really soft like it was sitting in some sort of a crock but was PRE SLICED as it was very oxidized which is not how you serve brisket, it is a slice to order item. The corn nuggets where straight out the freezer, with the freezer burn they where un-edible. And the mac and cheese don't get me started just look at the other pictures on Yelp. I really wanted bbq and there weren't any other options in the area but I shoulda listened to Yelp Atleast I wouldn't have got a stomach from McDonald's. When the quality was brought up to the servers they gave a very generic response as you could tell they heard this stuff all day.. STAY FAR AWAY!

On road trip from MD to Florida and found this place conveniently located near interstate 75. Travelled with my siblings. Everyone enjoyed their food. The ambiance was good. Server was attentive and on point with her recommendations. Brunswick stew made from scratch. Babyback ribs tender and tasty. I got the steak and cheese and fried okra. I loved the fried okra. Good vibes and good food. Can't complain and I say it was a great experience.

The young lady behind the counter was friendly, patient, and handled all of our questions like a true professional. The food was excellent across the board. My daughter ordered the burger, my wife had the salmon and turkey, my son had the ribs, and I went with the Yardbird. Everything was cooked perfectly, and no one had a single complaint. We tried a variety of sides, and the mac and cheese was the clear family favorite. While we were eating, we had a nice conversation with one of the ladies working in the dining room. She surprised us by bringing over two blueberry cobblers on the house, which was incredibly thoughtful. It was honestly the best blueberry cobbler I've ever had. Great food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back. On a second visit My son and I stopped in for dinner after our CAP meeting. We placed our order and went to get our drinks. Shortly afterward, our order was ready. We both chose the smoked cheddar burger. I would have liked it to be a little hotter, but it was still very good. Of course, we paired it with fries and mac and cheese. While we were getting our food, I noticed a gentleman who had arrived before us was still waiting. He spoke with the manager and explained that he had already been waiting about 20 minutes and had not been called. The manager immediately apologized and had his order prepared on the spot. He then went a step further and issued the gentleman a full refund. It turns out the gentleman was a U.S. Navy veteran. Respect to Mission BBQ for doing the right thing and putting their customers first. That level of service still matters.

Both came with a drink and everything was hot and delicious. Big portions and everything was seasoned and flavorful. They have a bunch of different sauces to try, including a yummy alamaba white sauce and mustard sauce. Friendly staff and clean/inviting restaurant. We tried the banana pudding which was also very good. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Ocala. Yum yum!

We witnessed a couple sitting at a table near us who had a dog in a baby carriage type thing. They were feeding the dog with a restaurant fork and also giving some food out of a restaurant bowl. I pointed this out to our server Debbie who told us they are not allowed to ask any questions as service dogs are allowed. When we pointed out to her that they were feeding the dog with their fork and bowl as well as letting the dogs head on/near the table and then ask her what type of service could the dog provide sitting in the carriage she went and talked to them. Debbie came back and told us the couple had a government issued license indicating the dog is a service dog. Again, she said there was nothing she could do. I suggested she talk with her Manager as service dog or not the dog can not provide service sitting in the carriage and should not be feed at the table with their fork and bowls. Debbie stated the couple told her the dog had recently had surgery. The couple left before we did and as they passed by us the dog was very active in the carriage and did not appear to be feeling bad. After they left another person cleared off the table and then wiped it down with a cloth. We watched her take the cloth put it a container which appeared to have water/or some cleaning material in it. Later another person used that cloth on another table. Not all of us ate lunch as we decided we did not want to eat food in a place that: 1. allowed dogs sitting in a carriage. 2. allow dogs to be feed with their fork and bowl. 3. allow dogs to have their head at/near the table top. 4. use a cloth to clean a table where a dog has been and then reuse the cloth on another table. Not only did they lose income today but the likelihood of me returning to Pig and Cattle is very slim. I have always enjoyed Pig and Cattle and personally I think you prices are reasonable and food is very good. Our after Church group -- generally 8-12 people--have about four place we rotate going to. The next time Pig and Cattle comes up in the rotation it is very unlikely my wife and I will go. Afterall, how can we be sure another dog was not at our table or a cloth used to clean the table had not been used to clean a dog table? How can we be sure that the silverware we are using has not been used to feed a dog? How can we be sure that the bowl/plate we we are served with has not been used to feed a dog? As lost customer, George

It was a late lunch so the place wasn't full...although the bar area looked busy. When we walked in, there was no host to greet/seat us. Waited a couple of minutes then I walked towards the kitchen to get someone's attention. A minute or so later what looked like the manager came over to seat us in a booth. After checking out the menu and mindful to avoid ordering fried items based on reviews that they're overly greasy, my wife ordered the The Ricky ($13.50 + $1.00 up charge - Cuban roast pork on Cuban bread) with sweet potato waffle fries and I ordered The Pepin ($16 - Cuban roast pork served with red beans and rice and fried sweet plantains). We just had water with our meals. My wife thought the bread was fresh but thought the roast pork was just OK. The sandwich paired well with the honey mustard but not so much with the mojo au jus. My dish started out good, with my first taste of the roast pork being good and flavorful then just went meh after that. The sweet plantains are always good for me. Ambience was cool and upbeat. Portions were generous and it had decent value...but we thought the flavors of the roast pork were muted and fell well short of the pernil flavor we've come accustomed to. Lunch for 2 with tip came out to just over $39.
