It was by no means packed, there were a few tables empty the duration of our meal as people ate and left. But the service was INCREDIBLY slow. They sent out an amuse-bouche which was nice- bacon and pimento in a little wonton cup. Our appetizers came out more than 30 minutes later. We ordered our son's kid's meal first, before we ordered our apps, but it came out after our entree's which was closer to 7:15. I assume the kid's meal coming out late was an awful server mistake, I can't imagine it would take over an hour to make a burger and fry up some potatoes. The chef was nice enough to let us order the octopus from the tasting menu (it was the only reason we came here, didn't realize it was part of the tasting). I almost did order the 5 course tasting menu, because it looked really good- but I'm so thankful I didn't. The table behind us was seated before us and by the time we left he was only on his third course. I'm also always cold but it was really warm in the restaurant. Not sure if their ac was broken or if it couldn't keep up with the weather. Not knocking the restaurant for this, things happen. But they probably could've used another few fans. We were the one table in the middle so the air wasn't getting to us. Not knocking the restaurant at all for this, it's a hot hot summer and things like this happen. The kid's meal portion was huge, actually bigger than my gnocchi order. We also ordered the brussels, pork ribs, seared tuna, tagliatelle, branzino, and pork chop. The pork chop was the most memorable thing. Based on this experience we wouldn't come back here on our own. We wouldn't rule it out though- if someone wanted to go here with us for any reason, we would consider giving it another shot.

It is walkable from our neighborhood, which we are so lucky to have. The staff is friendly, the patio is a nice place to chill, having a short list of beers on tap is great, and the food is *amazing*. I can personally recommend their breakfast burrito, the tots, the roast beast, the turkey BLT, and the smash burger. They do "simple" food just very well. It's definitely not a "fast dash" type of place - there's typically a small line and you'll wait and sip your coffee/beer while they make your order fresh - so don't expect Wendy's speed but it's also incredibly delicious in a way no fast food place could dream of. We tried all three flights, and the clear winner was the Petit Manseng. The rosé, both Proseccos, and Petit Verdot were also standouts. The lights were dimmed, which gave the restaurant a cozy vibe I almost fell asleep lol. Since the restaurant is still fairly new, it wasn't too crowded, which made the experience even better. One thing I really liked was that the menu is chef-curated, so the dishes are served as-is and thoughtfully put together. You can really tell there's intention behind the flavors and presentation. For drinks, we ordered a smoked Old Fashioned and a chocolate martini for me, which was absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we tried the Wagyu sliders, and they were juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. For our entrées, my boyfriend ordered the lamb shank over mashed potatoes. The meat literally fell off the bone, and the mashed potatoes soaked up all the lamb juices, giving them so much flavor. I ordered the salmon with broccolini and added chimichurri and garlic butter sauce on top. I loved that they asked how I wanted my salmon cooked. I ordered mine medium well, and it came out perfect. The skin was crispy, theand the broccolini was soft and cooked just right. Our waiter was fun, attentive, and really helpful when it came to choosing drinks and entrées. Overall, we had a good experience.

We hosted a bridal shower here in February, and it could not have been easier to work with them. Despite record cold temperatures that day, everything was perfect. The wine, pizza & charcuterie could not have been better, and all of the guests loved the mimosa bar they did for us. The space we used was lovely. The little house on their property was the perfect setting, and the attention we got before and during the event was perfect. Jody was a dream to work with on the planning, and she made sure it went off without a single issue. I couldn't recommend it more. We always enjoy coming out to hear local musicians, (especially our favorite local artist Gary Smallwood), and great beer/wines + their legendary pizza = a great way to spend a day or evening. Also, the staff couldn't be nicer. It must be a great place to work because they're always happy, kind, and helpful. We tried the tater tots last night, and oh my goodness they were probably the best we've ever had. So with all the brewery and winery choices in NoVA, this one tops our list and remains our favorite. For your next outing (or party/shower/event) this IS the place. Trust me. 10/10

First, I was excited to see that the winery was expanding into afternoon tea... seems to be a trend here in Loudoun. The space is new and absolutely lovely. It looked like a cozy living room! I loved that we were allowed to linger over our tea and enjoy the space and the company. The service was impeccable without being intrusive. We were offered a choice of 4 teas and then the food arrived. Okay, maybe I am a tea snob, but the finger sandwiches and scones are usually the highlights of a tea. Sadly, the scones were not really scones. They were more like a coffee cake/sweet bread. No resemblance to a scone at all. Sandwiches were okay, honestly not particularly memorable. Oddly, we were a party of 4 and we had to share the treats because there wasn't one for each guest-- kind of a tea faux pas, but especially at the $45 price point. I was disappointed in the quality of the sweets because the tea food was touted as being made by the winery's chef. I am fairly certain some were purchased not house made. Also , I think $8 to refill a teapot is absurd. Overall, good start, but get a real scone recipe, have one of each item for each paying guest, make the food yourself and offer hot water refills at a more reasonable cost.
