Visited Wine 4 Oysters on a whim with one of my girl friends on a random Thursday night. I've heard so many good things about it but haven't been able to check them out. Walking in, it looked very cozy- tiny but cutely decorated and on theme with the wine and oysters. I ordered a boil whereas my friend ordered the oysters. I also had an espresso martini. Both were very good! The boil had an amazing amount of garlic which was just so good. Can never have enough garlic! Our server seemed to be the only one in the restaurant besides the chefs back of the house. She was very friendly and answered questions that we had about the menu. I'll be honest, the name Wine (good) Oysters (great) got me lookin'. Add in the myriad Yelp reviews and I was mapping directions. What a find! They have a plethora of cooked oyster variations (not necessarily my jam) and raw. My favorite part of oysters on the half shell is mignonette; I loathe places that only provide cocktail sauce. Yet another reason why I'd come back? W4O provides two mignonette options; wait...is this heaven? After some vino and oysters, my colleague and I weren't crazy hungry. I chose the charcuterie board and she the salmon tostini. Not the most diverse charcuterie board I've ever seen, but it worked. Salmon tostini was on point and we were upset we didn't prioritize this dish above all others. NOTE: If you're on the fence, I completely agree with Yelper Hanh, Happy Hour is a great time to give Wine 4 Oysters a try! Small, strip mall venues are often hit or miss, but Wine 4 Oysters is a home run! Will definitely be back next time I'm in town. read more

Our server was friendly and helpful as she guided us through the menu. We started with the Artisan Chacuterie Board and the Baked Oyster Sampler. The sampler offers some unique varieties of oyster concoction. We really enjoyed it. We also had the Shrimp & Grits, the Lamb Tacos, and the Seafood Boil in Dirty Butter. Everything is fresh and, it's presented in an aesthetically pleasing manner. The Seafood Boil is heavily seasoned; rather messy, but our server offered gloves which I gladly accepted. Was over on this side of town and saw this on the Bite 30 list. I am not an oyster fan, by my husband is so I took a look and was pleasantly surprised of the variety of food items they had on the menu. So this is where we ended up for dinner so he could get some oysters. The location is small, but they make great use of the space to not feel crowded and allow for tables of all sizes to enjoy the establishment. Our server was fantastic. She was super friendly and very knowledgeable. I did order the espresso martini, but did not enjoy it at all. When the server came by she explained it is a pre-mixed cocktail, but offered to sweeten the drink up. That did make it better, but something I would not order again on a future visit. They do have a great beer and wine selection so that would be my recommendation to select from. I had the lamb tacos. They were super flavorful with the Asian slaw and the lamb was juicy and tender. My husband enjoyed his oysters and he also had the shrimp which he said was delicious. This is not on our side of town, but they do have another location as well. An unassuming little hidden gem, this place has tons of unique options for both raw and baked oysters as well as a full menu. I only tried the oysters when I went and decided to order the raw sampler and baked sampler to get a little taste of everything. The Prosecco raw oysters were definitely my favorite of the bunch. Wine 4 Oysters is located on what I call the desolate part of Alafaya Trail. Once you get a little bit past Lake Underhill heading away from Oviedo, Alafaya Trail becomes a lot more isolated and it's a lot less options. Wine 4 Oysters has been around for a while and they are located and a shopping center where the Publix is the anchor store. It is a small restaurant with a dominant bar inside. As the name would imply, oysters are the specialty here. The prices are a little bit higher than average here, but I guess everything has jumped in price. They do have a nice selection of oysters. The staff are friendly and professional and since it is in a shopping plaza, parking should not be an issue. All in all, Wine 4 Oysters does a decent enough job to be a local joint with an emphasis on oysters. I know a lot of better places for oysters, but if you are living in this neighborhood and don't want to travel too far, head over here. read more

We made a reservation for Sunday at opening at the Alafaya location, which really wasn't necessary since we were the only party there. They did refund the deposit from the reservation once I asked, after we paid our bill. I do not eat Seafood, but I agreed to try out the restaurant since it was nearby where our matinee was later that afternoon. Cute tiny spot ! Seems like the owner is the only one serving the whole place. She's not very welcoming or friendly, just dry. The food is warm or room temperature. Nothing is freshly make to order, seems like everything is premade , for example, the oyster Rockefeller was super dry and cold. My kid 11 years old, whose favorite thing is oyster Rockefeller did not even want to eat this. He's got it from other restaurants where it came out sizzling hot. This little place blew me away. I like to keep track of what places nearby are getting social media buzz and are getting voted for with various awards. But Wine 4 Oysters has none of that. What they did have was a killer Bite 30 menu this year. The Bite 30 menus were mostly boring and a way for restaurants to get a little bit of free marketing without actually putting on a show. But not Wine 4 Oysters. They put out a good menu, it got my attention, and it was selected by me as one of the few places I went to for the event this year. Apps: Lobster, Crab, Shrimp Canoe (romain leaves, spiced avocado creme, peanut-horseradish aioli). This was GOOD. The goo was very rich with crab and shrimp, not a lot of filler. The bite from the aioli really made for a nice lettuce wrap. I liked this one. It was unique. And a random lobster claw on top is always appreciated. Salmon Toastini (Nova, capers, guacamole, horseradish aioli and artisan bread). This one was nice. Nothing really in this dish to shine other than the quality taste of the salmon. And it was nice. I'd say a perfect average compared to all the fresh salmon I've ever had in my life. Baked Oyster Sampler (2 of each: Rockefeller, Grill Cheese, On-Fire, Kilpatrick). Now this, was a good dish. This place obviously knows that dates come here and share things, so to provide two of each of these was genius. The Rockefeller was the best, obvi, and the On-Fire was, well, just be careful. Lobster Risotto (with saffron and a splash of sherry wine (non-dairy). This was nice. Not very risotto-like. But it was a good Spanish-ish lobster rice dish. No complaints. Macarons (Assortment of 5). Seasonal Cake (Matcha Cheesecake). Both desserts came from Trader Joe's. I know it. Not knocking their methods. I'm not a small business owner. And I like Trader Joe's. So, good on them. Overall, this was a nice little place. I'm super happy that there's good places to eat in that part of town. Went tonight with my Husband for Valentine's Day and had an incredible experience. Tonight was my first visit, and I cannot wait to go back! Wendy, Andre and Nikolai were incredible with their attentiveness and service. It was quiet with light music playing which was perfect for today, I don't feel like we had to yell to talk to each other. And I cannot comment enough on how amazing the food was. We started the meal off with Sake Oyster Shooters, followed by the raw oyster sampler. I then had the Lobster Risotto for dinner which was topped with lobster claws and shredded lobster throughout. Woke up craving oysters and although we live in Daytona and they are plentiful we wanted more than just raw with lemon or steamed with butter. Drove an hour and let me say Wine4Oysters did not disappoint! Our server was super friendly and attentive while giving us space. We did 1 dozen raw oysters, an order of the green goblin oysters and an order of oysters on fire (my fav) and 1lb of peel and eat shrimp (literally the best I've ever had garlicky goodness was even on the shrimp inside the shell). Their drinks are also well made and delicious we had margaritas, French 75 and a Mai Tai. The ambiance was almost cafe like down to the dessert cooler which threw us for a second but once your nose catches a whiff of the yummy goodness inside and delicious menu items you will know this is no regular cafe. What a wonderful neighborhood gem! I cannot say enough positive things about the service. We were the only ones there for a bit, but we felt we had our space and time honored as we caught up over wine. We went to try the bite 30 menu and there were so many great options- burrata (appetizer), lobster risotto (main), assorted macarons (dessert). The burrata plate was impressive surrounded by sun dried tomatoes, mixed seasoned olives, balsamic salad and topped with pesto. I truly enjoyed the lobster risotto- so flavorful and full of lobster chunks. Back again! Came with my boyfriend for happy hour on a Friday night and we arrived at about 5:30pm. The oysters this time around were from Virginia and were huge and tasty! We even got lucky and had 2 pea crabs (didn't eat them, but apparently good luck!). We each got a dozen oysters. We then ordered the Russian beef dumplings. I wasn't really sure what to expect with these dumplings, but unfortunately they were underwhelming. It was served with a dollop of sour cream and the beef inside the dumplings had no flavor. We finished them, but they weren't really enjoyed and I wouldn't order them again/nor recommend. Small place in a shopping center, but don't be scared away because it's small or near a Publix. Great little joint. This should be called Whine for Oysters because I want more of these delicious oysters ASAP. What a treat this unassuming strip-mall location is. This place could easily fit into the trendy areas of Orlando, and maybe this may make the Far East Orlando a bit more trendy. If you're looking for it, it's in the Publix plaza off Alafaya near Golfway Blvd. And you SHOULD be looking for it! The atmosphere is casual and inviting to everyone. It was tough to decide as there were so many delicious choices, and we ordered quite a few of them. We also had some wine with our meal and although we didn't love the wines we chose, they were drinkable. We started with the Raw Oyster Sampler which included 2 each of plain, crudo (w/ salmon), green goblin (nice spice), and seaweed sesame seed (sushi like) all shucked up like a champ. Nothing was connected to the shell and they slid right off into my mouth, then into my belly. Easy to eat (but I'm not the judge of that as I am an expert in eating). Next was the Oysters on Fire which were nice and spicy. Broiled with sriracha butter, this bed of 6 sat in the steel bowl reef awaiting to be devoured. They waited only as long as it took to snap a few pics, then they chased their raw brethren down the hatch. Round 2 was a delight, but we both preferred the raw. For "Entrees", we split the Seared Ahi Tuna w/ 5 Spice and Octopus Lemon Garlic. Each was served on a bed of spring mix with a different dressing that paired nicely with each delica-sea. The Tuna was seared nicely with much of the center still being rare while the octopus had no hint of a rubbery texture and sliced nicely. Yum with a capital Y! Dessert was the Scallops on the Half Shell. The waitress commented on it being a new item and loving it, so we split an order (67/33) and oh my, the was one of the best scallops I ever eat. These were cooked just above the raw stage, jiggly, and had a crumb topping. The scallops were sweet and delicious. These were some up-scale scallops and I'd get them again in a pygmy shrew's heartbeat. The Happy Hour looks amazing with $1 Oysters and drink specials. Bi Valve I think they've got it! And we'll definitely be back for more. It can get pricey so it's not an every day type of place for us, but definitely a pearl in a sea of grocery stores and pool supply shops. read more

I was waiting for this place to open in Dr Phillips for a while. And finally! So we went for happy hour and ordered happy hour oysters. $15 for one dozen. The oysters were clean and pretty fresh. Jambalaya was but spicy and pretty good. But too thick to my taste. Sampler and Rockefeller oysters were pretty good. Funny thing is that this restaurant is connected to the next restaurant. The cute place and clean. However it was too hot. I asked if they could lower the temperature and the server told us they could not because they share space/AC with other restaurant. This is such a wonderful place. My son is playing in a golf tournament locally so I am in town for just two days. I decided to look up local oyster bars and what a gem I found. I decided to check this place out with sister for their Bite30 promotion. To start out with, we ordered one cold oyster appetizer and one hot oyster appetizer. The oysters were all topped with different things: smoked salmon, seaweed salad, and caviar for the cold and bacon jam, sriracha butter, and Rockefeller for the hot. I wasn't a fan of the caviar or the sriracha butter, but the others were all so interesting. The cold oysters definitely still had that fishy taste which threw me off a bit but I welcomed the toppings as a nice way to hide that overly fishy taste. The bacon jam was my absolute favorite. The jam was so addicting. My sister, being an ouster aficionado, did comment that all of the toppings were delicious but you lost the taste of the oyster. They were all too strong and overpowering. I don't like the taste of oysters that much so I didn't mind it but if you're also an oyster lover like her just be warned. For dinner we both chose the mussels. I was expecting a lot when they came out in a giant pot and the lid was lifted off to reveal a trail of steam escaping. But I was hugely disappointed. The broth fell flat and didn't have much that flavor. It was a bit too watery as well. There weren't that many mussels in the pot. And the bread seemed like it was just thrown on there; it wasn't even toasted. Dessert was just ok as well. My sister tried the Macarons which were average but the various flavors of each one didn't cover through that much. I had the berries and cream. It was a refreshing dessert and I ate it all. But it was a very strange texture. The mascarpone cream wasn't smooth but had a weird, almost curdled cottage cheese texture. The value for Bite30 was definitely worth it. Tried to go to Wine 4 oysters for the first time for Magical Dining. I would say there is about 12 tables and a small bar. When we walked in there was 3 empty tables. The server told us she only had 1 other reservation so we could sit wherever we wanted. We sat at a table and after reviewing the menu, ordered wine flights and our first 2 courses. This was around 7:45. We did get our wine flights and we enjoyed those. We waited for our food for over an hour. Our server didn't check on us at all, and there was no food in sight. the table next to us told us they got there only 10 minutes before us. They got their appetizers at different times and were still waiting on one entree when we left. By 9:00 we were really hungry and tired of waiting. My friend asked the server if it would be much longer and she was told "It's going to be a lot longer" with no apology so she asked for our check.
