avoid ordering food here unless you want to die laughing. $16 for a 7 inch pizza that you would think they would buy trays to fit the food. 7 pieces of sausage 5 pieces of pepperoni little bacon frozen crust. and i am done

The Windward Wedge

Windward Tavern is a bar & restaurant in Brick. It is a cute house looking building on the main drag. You park in the back & enter through the bar area. The bar area is dark wood and takes up the whole room. It is set up so that everyone faces in towards the bartenders. It is loud with stories being told and the tvs on. Perfect bar atmosphere. There is plenty of parking out back so no worries there. The AC works and the bathrooms are clean. Prices are typical of the shore area. We weren't greeted warmly but perhaps it was shift change or they were short staff or ? Regardless once we got seated things began to look up. The ambiance is shore boathouse bar type feel. The tables in the restaurant area are set nicely with white paper over a blue & white tablecloth with their logo stamped on the white paper. The menu has soup, salads, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, appetizers, seafood, etc. Something there for everyone. The wine list is large & there is a full bar. The server warmed up over time too. We enjoyed our meal there. The wedge salad was good. The salmon delicious as was the Cod Oreganata. The only truly disappointing food was the Arizona Chicken sandwich (so tough!) and their side of mashed potatoes. It is weird to find bad mashed potatoes but they exist. The Princeton Avenue salad with blue cheese, pecans, balsamic vinaigrette was tasty. All in all it is a nice place. I would go again

Margherita Pizza

I came here after a long beach day with a group of 4, and we were all pretty hungry. There was a bunch of open seating both inside and outside, but we chose to sit inside. It was fairly clean which I appreciated. My group started off with the calamari as an appetizer. I ordered the the Garlicy Chicken and one of my other friends ordered the Margherita Pizza. The Garlicy chicken was a decent portion and taste, so no complaints there. There were lots of artichoke hearts which was great because I definitely needed to eat my veggies! As for the pizza, this was quite disappointing. The crust tasted like a flat and bland cracker. I love flat bread pizzas, but it was so dry and tasteless. I'd skip the pizza here. Since we're not from the area, we likely won't be coming back. If you're hungry though and are looking for a place to eat, this spot isn't terrible. The service is quick and friendly, so it'll get the job done!

Oktoberfest

Came here for the first time and I loved it. They had an amazing Oktoberfest menu. The waitress was very friendly and gave. Great food recommendations. I need to go back so many great dishes on the menu. It was very busy but the wait went by quickly. The bar was very big and nice while waiting.

Receipt

I ordered the cod oreganata. It smelled so fishy and was slimy. The taste was terrible. The vegetables were mushy. Told the waitress about it. Nothing was done. My dad's meal was good so We shared his dinner.

You can pick your own toppings and there's no extra charge. The pickled onions are pungent but tasty. I occasionally question the quality of chicken but I don't want to think about that. Overall, it's a decent lunch and ordering is easy. Nothing special but nothing bad to say.

I ordered from Yasas by Michael Symon, a Mediterranean restaurant. So, when Wonder came to Brick, I had to visit. I went in yesterday. It is a very small space located in Brick Plaza. There are tables and chairs for ten people only (I counted in case I decide to return with friends). There is a one-person, large, accessible bathroom in the front as well. There is a rack for pickup orders and then places to order the food. The staff immediately approached me and asked if I needed help with anything. I noticed the staff did that for everyone who walked in. They showed people how to download the app and how to order. I decided to order from Yasas again for my mom and Hanu Poke, a poke bowl restaurant. Our bowls were both huge and packed with food. My mom did say she thought the chicken portion was small--she said the same thing in Middletown. However, the bowl was so packed that it was enough food. I loved my tofu poke bowl! Since I am vegan and gluten-free, I asked them about the sauce, and they showed me how to indicate my dietary restrictions on the app. I have nothing bad to say about this place. The bathroom was even spotless. I hope they continue to offer great service and great food.
