Then, last year I had a bridal party chiffon dress altered for my best friend's wedding and was charged $100. It was reasonable for 6 layers of chiffon to be altered and I loved the way it turned out. So this year I went back and had my wedding dress altered. The dress only needed to be hemmed and it was one layer of fabric and two layers of tulle (so not all of it had to be sewn). I was charged $450 for hemming the dress, but was quoted $200 at another place. I desperately wish I had gone back for my dress and had it altered elsewhere but at this point I was deep in the middle of wedding planning chaos. Then, unfortunately, I brought it back to the Palms to have the wedding dress cleaned. My mistake. I was quoted $220 (and an additional $60 if I wanted it boxed), but then was charged $238 when I picked the dress up. This place is robbing people. Please don't make my mistake, get quotes from other dry cleaners. I think you'll be happy that you did.

He ended up in the strip club of course after after hours and managed to get my coat to my suite before his flight took off. That said, I have now been to this place four times in one month to find an "Out to Lunch" or "Closed Early" sign on the door during their posted business hours. Today I drove 10 minutes out of the way just to find they would not be back for another half hour. It's very unprofessional. I realize that people need to eat lunch, but please post lunch hours on your door and website, or stick with a consistent lunch hour (I arrived at 1:45 today because that was the time their lunch ended the last time.) It's incredible frustrating. I strongly suggest calling before coming in to make sure they're open, especially if you have to make a drive. Edited to add: I have terrible luck with this place. I just went to pick up something, and was told to come back at 4:30. Apparently their deliveries don't come in until after 4pm. I guess they don't do the cleaning on-site. To be fair, it does say "After 4pm" on the receipt, but I was NOT told that by employee when I dropped off. So once again, a wasted drive over here. So keep in mind-- when they give you a date your items will be ready, they mean after 4pm on that day.
