This place is probably the absolute worst cleaners I've ever trusted with my clothes. After trying 3 or 4 other cleaners, they were my last hope at not having to take my clothes back to the city to get cleaned. Nope. West County, hillbilly-mediocrity wins again. 7 beautiful shirts to dry clean. Not very dirty, but definitely worn at least twice before going on the pile. These folks have been doing a good job with my shirts and dry cleaning for the 5 years I've lived in Sebastopol. It is a family run operation that has it's plant on the premises. It appears that some other writers found the service to less than pleasant, which is something different than my experience. Granted, they can be busy and the wife is not always as friendly as her husband, but she does warm up over time. If, due to my being a procrastinator, I need my clothes done fast, they have always gotten them done on time. They have never lost an item. Their pricing is good for the Sebastopol area and lower than most of the other cleaners I've priced. Most impotently, they do a good job on my clothes and they give their regulars a tin of cookies at Christmas. Maybe next year we regulars will get some homemade kim chee. read more

I do not understand how they can call themselves "Organic" when they use toxic fragrances found in the standard laundry products. Over 1000 chemicals comprise "fragrance" and make for a deadly cocktail of neurotoxic and endocrine disrupting ingredients. I took two faux fur coats in for a cleaning and when I got them home I noticed that one had a large patch of faux fur that was once smooth and shiny,was dull and coarse. And the other was the same way at multiple areas of the back of the garment. Needless to say I will not be using them again and I recommend you don't either unless you want to run the risk of your things getting ruined as well. read more

It's my goal to ding any business that has a $10 minimum when using a credit card policy. I get the fees the retailer must pay and I am fine with them passing that fee on to me for MY convenience to use a credit card. My bill was $7.00. The maximum fee the credit card company charges the retailer on that amount is 1-3.5 percent plus a maximum .10 cent transaction fee. For my $7 bucks the fee to the retailer is a Maximum $0.35 cents. I would much rather pay that than to have to leave, go home or find an ATM machine and come back to pay. Charge me the 35 cents. read more

I have used many dry cleaners over the years, and I know their strengths and weaknesses. I have also done a LOT of laundry over the years and am quite familiar with fabrics, stains and how to remove them. I know what to expect and it isn't miracles. I bring some tough items to this shop, and they haven't let me down yet. I work at many events, in a variety of costuming...beaded, taffeta, tuxes, satins, you name it. I've dropped off long skirts and petticoats, that soaked up 8 inches of beer and wine, plus the puddles I had to walk through to get to my car after, and they hardly batted an eye. They have a quick turn around, even when I suddenly have to drop something off and need it the next day, their prices are competitive and they have never damaged or lost anything. And I do not find them unfriendly. I find them hard working and professional. Been coming to them for 7 years and I will continue to do so unless some thing changes. :) read more

I have been using Superior for at least 15 years, having lived in Sebastopol 22. I have had them reweave sweaters, hem trousers, clean and launder. All positive experiences. Family run and owned. They offer discount on multiple items to repeat customers if requested when you leave your clothes, but not when you pick them up. Reasonable, kind and good business. read more
