I was referred to Windows We Are by the property manager of my coop. Such good luck! From start to finish my purchase was handled professionally. They helped me choose the best window type and gave me a very good and fair price. In less than 4 weeks the windows were manufactured and installed. Jimmy, Chris and Angel are terrific. The install team treated my home with respect. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing new Windows. read more

My family moved into a new home that needed some serious work. Thankfully, we never had to worry about new windows! On our second day in the home I called Scott at Windows We Are and he came by that very week to take a look at what we needed. He suggested a window and style and then had a guy come by THAT afternoon to fix a few broken windows. He ordered the windows right away and installed them as soon as they came in. His guys did all of the work in one day and it's FANTASTIC. They were clean and the windows are absolutely perfect. Scott was responsive and professional and I couldn't be happier. At least ONE thing in home ownership was easy. read more

I had two large picture windows installed and two bedroom windows installed. The team came first thing in the morning and left late afternoon. The team was warm, friendly, very professional and very clean. My windows are absolutely gorgeous and easy to use. I recommend highly!! read more

They installed 7 windows in a 3rd floor apartment in Sunset Park. Everything came out great. They were recommended to me and I would recommend them to anyone looking for windows. read more

This is the 3rd time we used this place first we renovated our bathroom and only needed one window and we waited to the absolute last minute and the contractor needed the window that day I found this place online and lucked out they had the size we needed in stock turned out to be a quality window for stock Windows went back for our dinning rooms Windows and just recently for our kitchen two of the three were a special order we were told it would take two weeks and they arrived on time. I plan on replacing three other Windows in my house that don't stay up will definitely go back for those once kitchen renovation is complete. read more

Poor customer service. Waited several weeks for estimate

We are so happy with our 15 new Windows that Windows We Are put in for us at our Breezy Point home. They are great and have given our house a beautiful look. They open and close so easily and we are so pleased. Scott and all the staff at Windows We Are were so helpful with all the details and installation Great job and we recommend them highly. We were referred to Windows We Are. The seals on several double-paned windows had broken allowing condensation on the inner surfaces between the panes. Condensation ultimately makes the windows look very dirty. Windows We Are staff came to assess the situation promptly and with our go-ahead ordered replacement panes, which arrived within a week. The installation crew got the job done quickly, efficiently and without leaving a mess behind. We dealt with Jason who handled arrangements competently. I liked working with these people and recommend them without hesitation! read more

Best in class! The arrived at the scheduled time and did the necessary window repairs quickly and efficiently. Courteous and neat with minimal disruption. Would use them again in a second. read more

Awful customer service. Went in to inquire about getting window screens as the current windows in my apartment had nothing. Long story short, was told the window screens I needed did not exist (I later googled and did find it; they were nothing special). While I was trying to ask what options I had then, the guy was not very nice and told me to "wait a minute." He then left me standing there for 15 minutes. When I finally went up to him to ask how much longer I was supposed to wait, it was obvious that he'd forgotten about me. I walked out after this. I know I wasn't there for a big order, but I don't think this treatment was deserved. read more

Used the company 10 years ago and just recently to install 6 additional windows. There was some issue with one of the new window panels and also discovered an issue with one of the previously installed windows. The whole process was handled professionally both in office (Jordan, who did his best trying to accommodate scheduling) and onsite (Carlos who was adept and his team efficient in both installation/repair). Overall, a good experience in both cases over a 10 year period. read more

Hands down the best window company in Brooklyn. All of their employees from showroom to Installation to phone and email service were super professional and extremely nice. The process went as smooth start to finish as I could imagine. They treated my home with care and left the area looking better than it did when they came in with brand new windows. Highly recommend. read more

Missed appointments. Unreturned phone calls and emails. Horrible service. I cannot even get these guys to give me a quote. I have a house full of windows to replace, but they don't seem to want to bother. These guys are awful. Look elsewhere. I am. read more

Very happy with the windows and the workers were polite and neat. Apartment is much warmer and no more drafts!

I had a great experience with Windows We Are. I used them to install all new windows in my Landmarked brownstone and they did a wonderful job. They were very professional, responsive and competitively priced. Dealing with Landmarks is not always easy but they really went out of their way to get the job done. read more

I would have rated this company better but the quality of helpers seem to be lacking. I really would not suggest leaving your home unattended while these "employees" roam around and "'work."" I HIGHLY advise looking elsewhere OR have someone not leave these "people" unattended. read more

In November of 2012, I ordered 11 new windows and 2 new doors from Windows We Are. The windows arrived and were installed with no problem within a couple of weeks. Well, after 4 months and numerous phone calls I still have not received my doors. Jimmy always had an excuse and made lots of empty promises and I am still without the doors!! I shopped here trying to keep my business local and to help out the small businessman rather than the corporations but received less than stellar cooperation and attention. I will not be shopping here ever again and neither will my family and friends! read more

These folks are the best -- from the office to the installers. Our multi-unit building needed all new windows. I found WWA from a neighbor who raved about their work on her brownstone. I'm on the board of a condo. So, I really had to push our board to give them our contract. We had one board member insisting on hiring our building super on the cheap. Others debated window style to death. If I owned a single family home, I would have hired WWA on the spot based on the professionalism during the estimate walk through alone. But its a board, so it took a lot of doing. The front office at WWA; Chris, Scott & Jimmy were patient and informative. Chris even participated in a conference all with our board to get all questions answered and help us choose the ideal style for our building and budget. They gave us a terrific price and were a pleasure to work with. If you call them during business hours, you'll always get person -- not a voice mail. And they're always courteous and professional. WWA earned our contract on front office care alone. This high level of professionalism carried over to our install. The crew WWA sent over were like window ninjas -- super efficient and on their game It was a full crew that worked on two units per day. The crew that worked on mine included Carlitos, Hector & Will. These guys worked in the blistering heat wave and were still energetic and super super pleasant. Team work at its best! They arrived on time, removed all the old windows and installed 10 new ones in my unit alone by 3pm. Even though they were super efficient, they took great care too. They covered the furniture that was close to the work space, drop clothed and swept up after themselves -- even in our hall way. (Due to the nature of the job, you'll still need to clean your place after wards. But other contractors can leave the place in a disaster. Not these guys.) They also made sure to move back heavy furniture that needed to be moved a bit to create more work space. Total gentleman. At the end, Carlitos, the foreman did a final walk through to make sure each window was done right. BRAVO! The windows are beautiful and perfectly installed. These guys did it all with a great attitude in the miserable heat. I can't thank this crew enough -- they worked HARD! Snaps to the front office for not skimping on man-power and making sure they have great people. That said, don't skimp either on your window project by hiring anyone else. You can lose time, money and experience total aggravation going through big boxers like Lowes and hiring people who don't specialize in windows. I'm glad I pushed to give WWA our building's contract.. they were ACES. read more

The workman cut our cable connection (mistakes happen!) while installing a window. Problem is that he didn't bother to tell us. We had to find out for ourselves. The same crew on this particular job left a mess both inside and outside (wood shards and rubble left in the front garden area). My wife had to ask them to "clean the windows" before they left. When I brought these problems to the attention of the company the representative had only a feeble apology to offer. Highly unprofessional and failure to take responsibility for their work left me disappointed that I had selected them to do the work. The widows themselves are okay, but the workmanship left much to be desired. We have to bring in some else to fill gaps and finish the job properly. read more

Stay away from this company. I hardly ever write these reviews but feel compelled to alert other New Yorkers not to use this company. These people charged me $185 for coming to give me an estimate - which I ended up having to pay in order to get the sales person out of my apartment. When I called to complain and ask to get my money back, I was told that it would be deducted from my windows order. Needless to say, I did not order my new windows from Windows We Are. read more

Our landlord hired these folks, and I'm SO GLAD. We needed our fire-escape window replaced, and Xavier and Anibal from Windows We Are came 5 minutes early for the 9:30am appointment and were done in less than an hour and a half. They were polite, friendly, early, and fast! Love it! read more

The installation crews that came to install my windows had an attitude the moment they walked in and that persisted throughout. It was a VERY unpleasant experience. The windows are average and the price is on the higher end, but I was thinking I would pay for quality service. How wrong?! They left me feeling like I was being talked down to the entire time. I would not recommend them! read more

I used Windows we are for both Windows and Doors for my Red Hook properties and Bay Ridge jobs. They are an exceptional team and the service is fast and easy. Remember custom doors and windows are typically 4-weeks they have always delivered in record time 2-week turn around. Jimmy Latimer is the best. Great products; great service. Dont make a mistake and buy cheap windows. Windows are your most important purchase. read more

Windows We Are is really really good company. I have used them twice and both times they gave me excellent advice, were very professional and friendly, and their services were reasonably priced. The guys who installed the windows came when they said they would, did a great job installing the windows, and left no mess at all. They are clearly a customer focused company. The job itself was great (7 windows replaced in a 5th floor walk-up, plus removing window gates -- the guys got it done in a day!) but they had to cut my phone line and didn't notify me (cutting it was necessary but annoying not to know) and when they cut the bars off the bathroom window they didn't protect the mirror so it got damaged. They made it right by paying for the Verizon tech to fix my phone line and for a glass company to fix my mirror, but care and communication would have prevented or lessened these issues. Overall a positive experience, though, and I'm really enjoying my new windows! Good quality and good installation. read more

My experience with windows we are was pleasant from start to finish. Everyone was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The crew that came to install the windows was the best!!! They were courteous and efficient and installed 22 windows in a day and a half. That's amazing!!! The windows look fantastic and we are all very happy with the work. Thanks again!!! read more

Jason who handles scheduling appointments is rude and arrogant. I left several messages to try to schedule an appt... To no avail. When i finally got him on the phone, he didnt apologize for not returning my messages. Then he scheduled an appt.---i could have sworn it was for a Friday. He calls on Thurs morning to say his guys are outside. ... Insisting this was day he scheduled. I wasnt expecting them this day, so i asked if i could reschedule. Instead of just being amenable... He tells me i need to call my mgmt company to do so. He finally backed off and rescheduled it himself. Still shaking my head and frustrated with his attitude. Hoping there will be no other issues when they finally come to fix my windows. read more

No one is better in fixing and installing windows!!! I have been dealing with this company for more than 5 years and never been disappointed. Jason who runs the place , will do his best with quick appointments. The techs there, including Alberto and Aaron, who were at my place several days ago, were knowledgeable and just good guys. No need to look any further for good service at a good price. read more

We arranged for a Technician to come to our home and replace the pistons on a window. He came and started working on the window and in the process his went to put his measuring tape on his belt and it fell against our minor wardrobe and cracked the minor . I informed him what had happen and he turns around and states he did not break the minor because his measuring tape is rubber and it could not break the mirror, He insisted that the he did not break the mirror, I told him i saw the tape hit the mirror and it cracked. I cannot believe he would lie to me when I standing there when it happened. I called Windows We Are and your service rep stated he never has a problem with the technician and took his word that he did not break the mirror. He gave me the name of a company that fixes mirrors and told me I could take it there to have it fixed he did not even offer to pay for the damage. Windows We Are still impresses. Five years ago, they replaced all of the windows in my house in Ditmas Park. They helped me pick out the perfect windows for my new home at that time. I went with a traditional six over one grid wood window in front and vinyl windows everywhere else. I must say the installation was smooth and suprisingly fast. Construction is in iherently noisy, dirty, and instrusive, but it did not feel that way this time. They replaced my 44 windows in two days, just business as usual for them. And now that the windows have withstood the test of time, I'm even happier. What's more, I just recently called them back to do a repair on one window after five years. They came no questions asked. I had to call them back to repair this window because a tenant in my two family home broke the sash away from the shoe-the way it was broken could have clearly voided any warranty, but now with Windows We Are. I felt I had to show my gratitude somewhere and do so here. They delivered. read more
