Faruk is truly one of the kindest professionals we've ever worked with. For the second time, he helped our family after glass was accidentally broken by our autistic son -- this time repairing our living room window incredibly quickly, coming Tuesday to measure and returning Wednesday with the repair completed. He handled the entire situation with compassion, professionalism, and care, and his craftsmanship was excellent. As a parent, moments like these can be stressful, and Faruk consistently approaches them with patience and understanding. We're incredibly grateful and can't recommend him and his company highly enough. read more

Great work, done quickly and resolved the draft in my windows. Highly recommended and would hire again.

The balance on my one window in my 1890s brownstone in Bedstuy failed and needed replacement. Frank from Vila Window showed up on time, did a great job at a fair price -- I would highly recommend Frank. Frank and Vila Window were also very helpful giving guidance on second job related to a hard to find piece related to a failure in my tilt latches (again my windows are very old). Thank you! read more

Needee my window repaired. Mr. Fatmir showed up on time and provided great service. Def use him again.

Faruk is very honest and a stand up guy. Faruk came by to inspect my large double paned sliding windows, as I suspected a draft from weather stripping that needed to be replaced. After taking a look, he said that the weather stripping was fine and needed to be cleaned They were very matted down with dust. He also said that adding additional adhesive stripping (something I can do myself) where the window closes, to cover any gaps would help solve my draft issue. He did not charge me for his time and advice and did not try to upsell me any unnecessary services. I would trust him to do any window work if I ever I need any in the future. read more

Called another company first. They canceled at the last minute. Couldn't reschedule because the scheduler was out that day. Called Vila Windows, they came the next day and on time. The windows were checked and fixed in no time at all. They were so kind and patient with my elderly mother. Would not hesitate to call them again!! read more

The mesh came off the bottom of one of our window screens, and I contacted a few places for a quote. The places who replied with a quote told me $60 and $75 and up, respectively. Vila Window & Glass didn't provide a quote, but said that "the technician needs to see it before they can quote you. I recommend you bring it to our office, we are open Monday through Saturday.". I brought the screen in, and the technician said that he may be able to repair it right away, and that if he needed to replace the mesh it would be $25, i.e. $35-50 less than the other quotes I got. Luckily the technician was able to put the mesh back in place without replacing it. Not only did he do it right away, not only it took him less than 5 minutes to do it, but also he did it for free, and refused to be tipped. That's some extraordinary customer service. I certainly would not hesitate to contact Vila Window & Glass if I will ever need any window-related service. PS: The entrance is on E. 2nd St. read more

He is knowledgeable and patient to explain to me about issues. Such a good asset to this company ! 　 　 Highly recommended! read more

The service I received from this company has been incredible. I've actually had a patio door problem for many years (actually for 8 years). The patio door could never lock. I hired different contractors to fix it, and nobody could resolve the issue, leaving me with an unlocked doors. I have been lucky enough to find the right guys: Vila Window & Glass. They came on a short notice, on-time, and fixed my door within 30 minutes along with an Excellent Customer Service. Very impressive. I can only recommend these guys for any window, door, glass problems you may have. I'm very happy with the work they've done - THANK YOU SO MUCH. Martin Lavoie - Brooklyn, NY read more

I can't say enough good things about this company. We needed six windows repaired so I called for an appointment after two friends recommended them. They were amazing! They came on time, fixed all the windows and replaced all the screens quickly, professionally and perfectly. They were neat, pleasant and their prices were reasonable. Couldn't have asked for better service. read more

Earlier this week I called Vila around 11 am and requested emergency service for an Anderson window that I had somehow jammed open, perhaps broken while cleaning the panes.. Farouk told me he was at a Manhattan job until 4 and would come to Park Slope after. That he did! Exactly as promised! So exceptionally reliable and prompt service from the very beginning. While here, with an assistant standing by, Farouk quickly and efficiently got the window closed. He spent no more than 3 minutes on the the task. No charge! He understood it had felt like an emergency to me, with the dreadfully hot day and my inability to figure out what I had done. He was so kind in his manner. Then he patiently took the time to show me how the window works and how to tilt the panes inward, so as to clean them. I had long forgotten how to do that. He showed me twice, just so I could be sure to follow the process. No charge! In fact, many years ago when the windows were first installed and I had attempted to tilt them in for cleaning, I accidentally removed them entirely from the frame. Back then another Vila worker came and fixed them in minutes. No charge then either. That is why I had kept the business card. Contrast this to the many repairman cards I have thrown out over 21 years on Park Slope after the first encounter with their service. Vila is a gemstone. I will be using them for a long delayed repair on a screen door and feel more than happy to continue recommending them. read more

They came when they said they would to look at the window. Measured and left to make the window. They came back a few days later and replaced the window pane. Reasonably priced. Pleasant workers. read more

I called Vila to provide a second estimate to fix a window that would not go up and down.I had been quoted by a competitor ( WindowFix) that I needed to replace the balances and shoes with a total cost of $550. Vila's technician came when scheduled and fixed my window in less than 5 minutes. He gave me tips on how to properly maintain the window tracks and what to do about my screens. It turns out the balances and shoes did not need replacement and the cost for his visit was $0. I could not be happier with Vila. They are knowledgeable and professional, and best of all honest and customer friendly. read more

Jay and Nehat came to repair several windows which constantly slid down when opened, a broken window and door pane, replacement for a screen in my storm door. They came on time and reviewed the windows which needed repair. Jay went the extra mile and returned to the company to get the correct tilt locks for my window. They were professional and organized and maintained COVID precautions when working and left the area clean and tidy. It is a pleasure to be able to open and close my windows without a problem. I was 100% satisified and will ensure all my window repairs will be done by Vila. Thank you again for your excellent customer service. Lorraine BR Brooklyn, New York August 27, 2021 read more

I had a broken window (glass was cracked in top and bottom of a double-hung window) and was about to get the window replaced. I called Home Depot and they quoted me an outrageous $2K to replace the entire section (that window is part of a three window segment). I decided to see if someone can just replace the dual pane glass and did a quick search on Yelp for window repairs in Brooklyn. Vila came up with high reviews so I call and scheduled a time for Saturday morning for a quote. They arrived promptly on Saturday and measured the window. They quoted $145 per window for a total of $290 cash. I accepted and they went back to their store to prepare the dual panes. I initially scheduled them to come back next Saturday because they're closed on Sundays. I got a call an hour later that they can install it the same day if I want. They came in 30 minutes and replaced the glass with new dual panes. They re-caulked the exterior and interior and took the cracked glass away. Very satisfied that everything was taken care of the same day. read more

Vila Window and glass came over today to fix my windows. They were extremely difficult to open and I also had missing and broken screens. Firstly, the team arrived right on time, exactly when they said they would show up! Jay and Nehat worked so quickly and effortlessly and rebalanced all 12 of my windows. They also brought a blanket for their tools and made a tidy work area so that nothing would damage the floors or walls. They also took measurements to replace a few windows that gave a broken seals which have dirt between panes that cannot be cleaned. I'm so glad this too is an easy fix and I'm looking forward to having them back again. Vila Window and Glass is extremely professional, friendly and fabulous!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Had Vila instal 2 new windows for our condo in Park Slope and we were really pleased with their service. We had a technician promptly arrive after our first contact with Vila to take measurements and give us an estimate of the cost for different styles of windows. After we finalized on one and paid 50% deposit, they order the windows for us which were delivered in 2.5 weeks. Then a window installation person came over with the windows and all the equipment and installed 2 windows under an hour. The work was done professionally, and we are happy with our windows. Will recommend them for all your window install requirements. read more

Highly recommended. These guys did a window replacement, and rebalanced three others in my apartment and were fast and efficient. We were having cold drafts and had trouble opening our windows in increments and this was fixed and windows all function properly now. The time between them coming out for the estimate and completed job was short, which I'm especially grateful for in the winter months. There was one minor issue involving the color of window I'd requested but this was immediately figured out and corrected in no time. For professional window repair in Brooklyn, I would put these guys at the top of my list. read more

I hired this company to help with a window that was not going back into the frame (luckily it was warm out at the time!). I tried every which way to get it back in but it is heavy, the building and windows are super old and I just figured it was time for a new one. These 2 nice, professional guys took a look at it, replaced one piece, oiled it up and then cleaned it and viola! For $150 the window was repaired! I was literally thinking they would tell me to get a new window for thousands. The also showed me how to take care of all my windows (lots of WD40) and said that if we wanted longevity on them, just do that. Amazing advice and would never thought of it. I highly recommend Vila Windows, you won't be sorry! read more

I have used Vila window repair on two different occasions. The first time it was a repair job where they fixed several windows that were no longer staying open. The second time they installed 5 new window inserts. Both times they showed up exactly when they said they would for both the estimate and repairs. In fact for the repair job once I was quoted for the job and accepted the worker went right outside and had all the parts already in the work van and completed all the work in like a hour. For the window install I want to say they were there for about 4 hours and installed 5 windows. They have great prices and the best part is.... They cleaned up after the job and left no trace that work had been performed. I highly recommend them and will use in the near future again when I get some more windows. read more

I had the good fortune of having Jay come out to assess what was going on with the leaking coming into my window. He was professional, patient and thorough! He also was very HONEST! After thoroughly looking over the window he was able to determine that it was not coming from the window, rather it was a siding issue. Another vendor may have tried to gouge me but he did not. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company!! read more

Believe the positive reviews! It was always super easy communicating with Vila Windows. The woman answering the phone was a doll and always extremely polite and helpful. These guys were superb. We needed balances replaced on about 4 windows and a screen replaced on another. They arrived at the very beginning of the 2 hour time window and got right to work and stayed longer to ensure we could open and close the windows with ease. Besides being very conscientious and doing a great job, the guys were very considerate and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone needing window repairs or new windows. read more

Faruk came out with an assistant in order to give me a quote on my sliding glass doors that were not really working anymore and were leaking! He told me that the doors were fine but simply needed to be adjusted on the tracks. The adjustment required time, tools and acrobatics, but he did it and presto, my doors are fine and leak free. He was generous with his time and information. He also told me that since he came out to estimate new doors that were not needed, he was not going to charge me for this adjustment. I could not believe it. I highly recommend this company for their commitment to putting the customer first. They will definitely be my first call when I need windows, mirrors or glass. read more

I'm thrilled. Nice and helpful family-run business, they repaired a broken window that was sliding out of its wood frame, saving me $$$. They also quoted me a decent price to install a new one, need be. It's huge and I feel like the price they quoted was more than fair. I'm happy with the repair job for now, however. While there, they also fixed a balance issue with another, newer replacement window and re-screened the torn screen door leading to my yard. All in a couple of hours. I'd use them again, for sure! read more

I almost never leave reviews, but in the case I will make an exception happily. My parents needed window repair after several windows in their home were damaged. I called multiple services right before Christmas and either no one had time or wanted to charge just for an estimate. Vila not only came out to my parents house, they also did the estimate for free. Additionally, Frank was deeply kind to my parents and gave them a fair and reasonable price to repair the damages. Within a week all windows were fixed and their staff could not have been more professional. Deeply grateful to these guys for work well done and highly recommend them to anyone who needs repairs done. read more

I have now had Vila do 3 jobs for me. They are always very quick and professional. I have some concerns about how this speed affects quality though. 6 months after they installed my basement window, the caulking came off. They kindly came out and fixed it, but this was the second issue I had found with this job. The window had also not been put together for in a way that sealed. They kindly fixed that as well, but I'd be happier if they took a bit more time to do the job right the first time. read more
