If I could give Sky Glass NYC more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!…read more I cannot say enough amazing things about Yuri and Ivan from Sky Glass NYC. After having another company do a horrible job on my windows, I was frustrated and honestly just wanted the problem fixed the RIGHT way. Yuri and Ivan came out on Monday, assessed everything, explained what needed to be done, and were back on Wednesday ready to work. Other companies were telling me the job could take 5-6 days -- these guys got it done beautifully in ONE DAY, without sacrificing quality. And let me be completely honest -- I know I can be a pain . I ask a million questions, I pay attention to everything, and I come with a sense of humor that may not be everyone's cup of tea. Yuri and Ivan handled me like champs! They were patient, sweet, kind, respectful, professional, and just genuinely good people to work with. Their work was clean, professional, efficient, and beautifully done. But what really impressed me? When they finished, they cleaned everything up without me even having to ask! Anyone who has dealt with contractors knows how much that means. These guys WORK. No wasting time, no dragging the job out, no excuses. They came in, knew what they were doing, and got it DONE. After the experience I had with the previous company, finding Yuri and Ivan was truly a breath of fresh air. Give Sky Glass NYC a chance. Yuri and Ivan are hardworking, reliable, talented, and an amazing team. I would absolutely recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to call them again. Thank you, Yuri and Ivan, for turning a stressful situation into such a positive experience. You guys are truly the BEST!

After waiting nine weeks for the…read moreglass shower door arranged by my previous contractor--only to be told it had broken and would not be installed--I decided to find my own glass company. Choosing G&E Glass Corp was the best decision I could have made. From the first conversation, Gabriel was professional, responsive, and dependable. He measured everything carefully, had the glass fabricated, and completed the installation within one week--a remarkable contrast to the nine-week delay and unresolved issue I experienced with the previous company. Gabriel and his team spent the entire day on the installation, paying close attention to every detail to ensure the shower glass was secure, precise, and beautifully finished. They also went above and beyond by creating custom glass shelves for my kitchen cabinet, allowing the light to shine through exactly as I had envisioned. The craftsmanship is excellent, and the finished work looks both elegant and thoughtfully designed. G&E Glass Corp was clean, respectful, and careful to leave everything neat and orderly. They showed up when promised, followed through on every commitment, and took genuine pride in their work. After such a frustrating experience with the previous company, it was incredibly reassuring to work with a company that was fast, reliable, skilled, and committed to getting everything right. I highly recommend G&E Glass Corp to anyone looking for exceptional glasswork, careful craftsmanship, dependable service, and a team that truly cares about the finished product. I'm so glad I found them!

Terrific experience from start to finish…read more I had a terrific experience with NYC Glass & Window Repair. Daria was a wonderful initial point person and stayed in touch throughout the process by phone and text. Vova came out for the initial assessment and measurements, and he was patient, kind, and really listened to what I needed. The initial estimate was more than I could afford, and I thought I'd have to contact several other companies for bids. Oliver worked with me to bring the price closer to my budget, and I was able to skip that exercise. I also decided to handle the glazing and weatherstripping myself. Michael and Ivan came to do the work, and they were thorough, quick, and resourceful. These are very old windows, and they encountered some obstacles along the way, but they figured things out and did an excellent job. They also cleaned up beautifully and left the area cleaner than when they arrived. Everyone I dealt with was kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The workmen's primary language is Ukrainian, so their English was sometimes limited, but this was easily handled because there was always someone in the office available to communicate with both of us in either Ukrainian or English. I've had plenty of experience with workmen whose first language isn't English, so this wasn't an issue for me. I also really appreciated the way the company combines technology with personal communication. Everything is handled efficiently, but you never feel like you're being left to deal with technology on your own. There was always a real person keeping in touch. The entire team is Ukrainian, which was particularly meaningful to me as an East Village resident and a Veselka old timer. I was very happy to support them. This is the way business should be done. Five stars without hesitation!

Rob from Unbeatable Repairs came out to fix two casement windows in our living room that wouldn't…read moreclose properly. His attention to detail stood out from the start, he inspected each window carefully before touching anything, checking the hinges, arms, and tracks to understand exactly what was causing the problem. Diagnosing the issue took some time since the problems weren't straightforward, but rather than rushing or guessing, he worked through it methodically until he had a clear picture of what needed fixing. Once he had that, he fixed both windows correctly and made sure they opened and closed smoothly before moving on. I also pointed out three other windows with issues, and Rob fixed all of them while he was there, which made the visit even more worthwhile. He walked us through some helpful information about insulation around the window frames and pointed out a couple of other minor issues worth keeping an eye on down the road. He answered all my questions, even the pretty basic ones, and never once made me feel dumb for asking. The price he charged for all the work was totally reasonable. Rob was professional and friendly the entire time, easy to talk to, and clearly someone who takes pride in doing the job right rather than just getting through it. If we decide to redo our windows in the future, Rob is who we'll call without hesitation. I definitely recommend him, especially since he's an independent local contractor rather than a big impersonal company. Highly recommend him for anyone on Staten Island dealing with windows.

We had a budget, and he helped us keep to it, but he really went above and beyond that. Other vendors told us there was no way to keep the 130 year window moldings, but Turab not only helped us keep them, but had so many neat tricks to improve our restoration project. Other vendors just gave us offers against our project scope, but Turab explained to us the dynamics of different windows in different parts of the house and what types worked best and saved us money. He made custom moldings for our cellar windows. He also helped us out to stop a fly tipping incident one day when we were out and not able to deal with it ourselves. And when it was pouring with rain and our basement flooded, he went outside and took a really long and hard look and told us what the problem was. We got it fixed the same weekend and never had issues since.
