Fried pickles and Beet Salad
Abigail R.

I really enjoyed stopping in and visiting here. Main Street in Pinedale is a really lovely area. With Wind River Brewing being no different. They had a diverse beer selection, I enjoyed the Ginger Ninja and Mango beer, a large menu that spanned from a good wholesome salad to the greasy bar food you just need sometime. The fried pickles were the big hit for me, the portion size was huge and they were delicious. My partner loved his brisket quesadilla and lamented that he couldn't eat it all. And everything was very much kiddo approved. It can definitely get busy in here, so don't come if you're in a time crunch. But if you can sit down, enjoy good food, with good company, in a good restaurant. Look no further.

Great food, great service, outdoor seating, they fry in beef tallow! Would definitely eat here again!

Ordered chips and salsa for $8, ended up with the bottom of the bag (crushed up chips) ....

Jalapeños popper (an order is 4 but I ate them)

After a day of hiking and the choice to cook at our campsite or eat here, we decide "there's beer here." And it turns out to be really GOOD beer, My boyfriend got a flight with PPML Cerveza (Mexican style beer with mango, prickly pear and citrus), Ginger Ninja (ginger, honey and fresh lemon), Octoberfest (solid German beer) and Out of Order Porter (a desert worth rich dark). All were great with the first 2 being outstanding and unique. The food highlight for me where the jalapeño poppers - not the fried, dried out one but homemade jalapeño stuffed with garlic chive cream cheese and wrapped in BACON. Worth the stop here. We also had the Mediterranean Salad (like an enhanced Greek salad) with perfectly grilled chicken ( moist and flavorful). And the clam chowder which thick and full of flavor (maybe a little light on the clams). There were great looking sandwiches in the menu but I wasn't that hungry. The service was fast and friendly, offers us additional sauces if needed. The atmosphere is like most brew pubs - high ceilings, dark wood accents and large screen TVs. It's more open than some brew pubs and is definitely family friend. There is also a bar that has a comfortable vibe and they offer full food service. Solid option if you're in the area and want a casual sit down meal that won't break the bank or a tasty local brew. They also offer takeout if you're on the go including growlers for the beer.

Mac and cheese

The Mac and Cheese was great. The lady was nice but took a bit to get refills but all good. But over all a great place to eat and chill.

We love to take fishing trips in the area and always stop here. Good beer selection and nice menu. Friendly staff, quick service. Plenty of seating. I highly recommend.

Beer was cold, food was very good, and service was great. Hamburger and brat with Sauerkraut comes highly recommended!

This is our visit to Wind River Brew and our last. Good beer and great atmosphere but the pricy food is consistently disappointing.

Best lunch spot in Pinedale. The Windriver Rueben is really good. The brew is for real. You won't be disappointed with the experience.

I thought the Stromboli was good but lacked real flavor. I was mostly eating through Italian meats (salami and pepperoni) with occasional flavors of basil but it was not deep and rich in its profile. Service was good, but not over the top. The restaurant is set right on the main drag on Pine Street. The restaurant also contains a small gift shop for local artisans sell their goods. But the interior of the restaurant is super cute and cozy.

First, I understand a busy time, but service was abysmal at best. To begin we waited in line to…read moreorder for at least 10 minutes. While in line, the wait staff was rude. "I'm going to need you all to move so I can get through," is a less effective and polite way of saying "excuse me, please." The kids in front of us ordered and rightfully got their food before us, but so much so that they finished and left before our food came out. This wouldn't have been a problem but when our food did finally make it to the table, it was on the cold side. Had they bothered to check in with us, I would have said something, but they didn't even bother. They were too busy playing with the dogs in the patio. The food was mediocre at best. The service sucked. The prices were fine. I'm only giving this place 3 stars for the physical atmosphere and prices. I'd find somewhere else to eat next time.

UPDATE: This review is for the BIG PINEY location…read more This was our chosen gas stop en route up to the Tetons area. We were pleasantly impressed with the market and deli. What a sweet shop for the locals and the travelers. It has a country store vibe. The ladies were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed sitting outside to eat the pizza we purchased. And we look forward to eating the cheesecake later. The gas was the best priced around which was a bonus. The only drawback was that the internet was down so it was cash only. Fortunately we had some to make our purchases.

Both craving a sandwich, we settled on Obo's (because Subway sucks) and were pleasantly surprised with our experience - here's why! ++ Obo's is both a meat market, deli and store all in one - offering everything your heart could desire. Fresh cuts of locally sourced steak? All yours! All the deli meat you could want? Come on over! The store offers a variety of artisan crafts, local trinkets and groceries too! Because were there for lunch, we opted for house made sandwiches in the deli. ++ The sandwich menu - although small - is awesome, with the option to build your own sandwich too. I settled on the Italian which was piled high with allllll the meats, cheese, hot peppers and drizzled with balsamic dressing on a massive house made bun, while my husband settled on the traditional ham sammie which was just as delicious! I was far too hungry to take a picture of mine, so a picture of my husbands will suffice! ++ Although more expensive, you get what you pay for. The quality of meat supersedes everything in the area, as they freshly cut the meat on the spot for each sandwich. YUM! +/- The service in the deli was pretty harsh. Although the women behind the counter were busy and made their way through the line of customers, they were NOT friendly. The woman who greeted us just starred our way and then said "what do you want!" with a frown on her face. We quickly ordered and got out of the way, which proved to be a good decision. Having worked in the service industry, I get being in the weeds, but being nice goes along way. - No one, I repeat, no staff members in the deli were wearing masks or abiding by any social distancing. Even most guests who were waiting in line to pay weren't wearing masks, which is bonkers to me. Only the cashiers wore masks and one made a polite comment to my husband and me as we were the only customers rocking them. Yikes! Despite the lack of COVID measures, I'd return for another bomb to-go sandwich at Obo's.

First let's set some expectations, this isn't a restaurant and it doesn't serve fondue. However the…read moresimple dinner service they offer is delicious and it's a unique dining experience. The whole affair is outdoors seating and cooking etc. with plenty of room for big groups. It can be confusing if it's your first time so be patient and expect a leisurely meal with time between courses. If you're visiting Pinedale this is worth the time to go.

If you are in or close to Pinedale and want to experience something different and fun for dinner…read moreyou should definitely check this place out. I have over 2,000,000 miles flying for business and I have traveled all over the world and honestly I've never seen a place like this. Casual place not fancy in the least. Just wear what you feel comfortable in. All outdoors. They shut down mid-Sept. You sit at picnic tables under large tents. They have 3 Corn hole sets you can play before, during or after eating. They serve tea and lemonade. You can BYO beer, wine, soda etc. Coolers w iced drinks...yea bring it. Its encouraged. You are welcome to stay as long as you want eating, drinking, talking and playing corn hole while looking at the Wind River Range. The place is exactly what its name says. They cook the food on pitchforks dipped in hot oil over a fire like a giant fondue. Literally everything except the salad, melon and dinner rolls is cooked in those hot oil vats. It starts with all you can eat, fresh made potato chips cooked in the vats. Then they bring you dinner rolls and kettle cooked bison brats. This is all basically appetizers. Meanwhile you are free to go make a simple salad with choice of dressings and choose from an assortment of fresh melon chunks (as much as you want). Then they take your order for dinner. You choose either Sirloin Steak, Chicken or Trout. All will be cooked in the hot oil vats. My wife got trout and I got the Steak (medium rare thank you) and we shared so we both had surf and turf. You get a potato. You get fried onions if you want them. If you have kids and they don't want the steak/chicken/trout they can have a hot dog cooked in the vats with or without bun. They have like six different sauces you can put on any or all of your food. After dinner you get your choice of a brownie or a Lemon Bar. To me the brownie was what I would call a chocolate Texas Sheet Cake. Both had powdered sugar sprinkled over. I had the brownie. Whatever you want to call it...it was dang good. My wife likes Lemon more than chocolate so she had the Lemon Bar. She said it was OK/Good And that is the entire menu. The people are SUPER friendly. It is run by a family and it feels like you were invited to their backyard for a cookout. Nobody would confuse this with "Fine Dining" but honestly, if you want Fine Dining this isn't the place. Everything was good/very good. Really didn't have anything that we were not happy with. Everything described is included for the fixed price. (was $38+tax) per adult, no idea what kids cost) The food is a 4/5, the people are a 5/5 and the relaxed/fun dinner experience is a 5/5 I highly recommend this place if what you read above sounds fun/interesting to you. We would go back when we visit Pinedale again for sure. Great for a family get together or group of friends.
