I love Lander Brewing Company, and I normally don't like burgers that much. But oh my goodness, their burgers are messy, gooey, deliciousness. I love the outdoor dining area because I have a toddler, so it's easier to keep him entertained on the patio. If you order a beverage, be warned - they make them strong! I'm a gin-and-soda gal, and wow! They do not scrimp on the gin. I couldn't even finish my drink, or else I'd have found a lampshade to put on my head and establish myself as the new town drunk. Let's see, I've eaten here three times and had a different burger each time. So far? They've all been good. And their fries are great too. It's not a sit-down restaurant, so just be aware you'll have to wait in line to order, and since this place is awesome - sometimes the line is long. It's worth it though. Trust me! read more

This place was about 30 minutes from our hotel in Riverton, WY, but we wanted to try it so we hit the road and checked it out. We were seated immediately at about 6:30pm on a Thursday and greeted very politely. The ambiance here was great, service was very attentive and the beer was their own brew. I had their Cow Crustacean and my wife had the Red Miso Corvina Sea Bass. Their On Belay IPA was a nice addition for our meals. The reason for the 4 star is because the steak I had could have been seasoned better with more of a char being cooked rare, a good crust is a must. My wife's sea bass was kind of sitting in a liquid which made it a little more soggy but still good. I'd recommend giving it a try and if we weren't from out of town, we'd go back. read more

Great selection of beers. We enjoyed the Atlantic City Gold & the Half-Tanked Hefe. Great atmosphere and a great staple in Lander.

What a cool place, love that they brew in house and you can see their brewery equipment from the tables, outdoor area also seemed to be extremely popular. We had one server was excellent, and one who seemed not happy to be at work, he seemed frustrated easily when we asked for anything other than the norm (this included additional water after we ran out as two of us were not drinking beers, however the beers that were tried were great.) The Fried Pickles were slightly greasy, I wish these had been drained better before being sat on the plate, or sat on a napkin to absorb some of that grease, although taste was still good. The steak sandwhich was excellent, fried chicken sando was also good but could have used more pickle. read more

I figured as long as I was in Riverton I should roll on into Lander because I heard that they had a brewery and their beer won lots of awards in the state. There are just a handful of breweries here in Wyoming but I figured it was worth a try. I did not know which beer won the most awards but the bartender said that it was their rye beer so I went ahead and went with that. The beer itself was very tasty and well worth the slight detour on my way to Jackson. My bartenders were very friendly and deem this place a worthy stop next time I am through the area! read more

Great atmophere of the old west. Breezy, with a lot of light, which you don't expect in a tavern. Their microbeers are good, solid, well-made, and I preferred their lighter summer beer, over their hoppier amber. It was an equisite Hefeweisen (pronounced, Heff-a-vise-on), and I preferred it so much, I split a pitcher with my friend. I went there on a Friday night and was pleased to see locals. Our bartender was very friendly, and actually didn't clock in right away, just to sit next to us and chat. The pool table is a little too close to the bar for my tastes. The restaurant is next door, and the tavern and the restaurant share a patio that connects the two. I preferred the atmosphere of the bar over the restaurant because when I'm "out west" I want to feel like it, not feel like I'm in Denver at an upscale bistro, but that's just my personal opinion. read more

A brewery house encompassed in a restaurant. The smell of hops and food are interesting combination to Dine in. Zonker ribs, and Baja Fish Tacos are tasty. Cowfish salad is awesome dish you can sit and eat in the porch in a summer evening. Or dine in during winter and enjoy the music and feel of the Old Wild West interior. read more

I've eaten here two or three times when coming through Lander and each visit has been successively worse. First try, burgers! They're decent, nothing great. Second try, salads! Same thing, probably what one would expect in small town Wyoming. This visit, pizza! Embarrassing, so bad I will never come back. I was just backpacking in the Wind River Range and this pizza, my first meal back was so disappointing I wished for some freeze dried Stroganoff!!!! The individual size which I ordered measured a solid 6 inches across. That's what most restaurants sell for $4 as the kid's pizza. This was $9 and tasted like some prison chef had a bad day! read more

I arrived tonight to enjoy happy hour. The bar area had quite a line and I stepped into line around 545. I patiently waited for my turn only to get to the front of the line at 6:01. I was promptly denied happy hour pricing despite waiting in line for 15+ minutes. Despite pointing out the length of the bar line and how much time I spent waiting, I was denied happy hour pricing. The bartender could not have cared less that such a bad customer experience occurred. I will not frequent this establishment again. A simple method of identifying the last person to join the bar line before the happy hour cutoff would easily solve this issue and leave patrons with a much better experience. read more

The town of Lander hits many grace notes for me and Lander Brewing is one of them. Good beer and food and efficient friendly service have always made me glad that I stopped. This cost was on Total Eclipse day and the whole town was packed and joyful. This was especially so on the shared patio that felt like the center of Wyoming all afternoon and evening. read more

I always stop here when I come through town! Pizza is great and the salads are quality if you've been eating too much gas station crap to stay awake on your drive. Atmosphere is great and gives a good sense of local culture. There's a bar attached where I'll enjoy some whiskey if I'm giving up on the journey and motel-ing in town. Definitely where I'd reccomend if you just have one evening in Lander. read more

Unexpected in a small town! I was in Riverton / Ft. Washakie visiting family and we drove through Lander and it looked so nice I decided to come back. I went straight to Lander Brewing Company because I love a good brew pub. I tried the flight of 7 beers - 3 were seasonal - a Cream Stout, an IPA and a Belgian Ale. They were all great, especially the Rye beer and the stout. I also ordered a Beer Cheeseburger off the pub menu (they share the menu with Cowfish) and it was awesome! Bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable - I would come back here in a heartbeat if back in the Lander area. read more

We stopped in after a trip in Yellowstone, and had a good lunch. I had the Muy Bueno Burger, and it was good. The waffle fries were really good! I would have liked to have been able to have the burgers done in something other than medium, but really not a big deal. The service was efficient and friendly, but not overly do. I dropped in to try some beer on the way out of town. This was back in September of 2014 so it wont be specific. I recall enjoying a hefeweizen draught. The bar was nice with pleasant people having a nice time and the bartender was helpful enough. It is connected to a restaurant so you could smell the fried food. The waitresses were also friendly, so sitting at the bar is probably the better option, if all you want is beer. I didn't venture into the restaurant side, but it looked family friendly and busy. read more

Looks nice inside, but... Unorganized crowded staff who know very little about the beer they're selling, beyond sub-par beer that is (of course) over-hyped by the brewers, and the owner is an addlebrained boy with a laughable approach to common sense. Was driving from Yellowstone through Cody to Park City, decided to stay over in Lander for the night. Found Lander Brewing along with Cowfish through Yelp, so very lucky we did! My wife and I enjoyed the beer very much. The Rye was great, as was their Stout and lighter beer. Everyone was friendly and the bartender (who I think was the owner) was happy to explain his operation and how some of his beers were crafted. Our dinners were delicious, came out promptly, and the staff was excellent. I wish Lander was just a little closer to home, if so, it would become by far and away our favorite restaurant! read more

Here and the restaurant are my fav places to eat in Lander. They have a really awesome beer sampler of their latest and greatest beers made right there on the premises. I love the sampler and the followint items on the menu: the stuffed mushooms are to die for, where most restaurants stuff with an icky seafood blend or artichoke dip, these are SPECIAL. They are a boursin cheese stuffed schrooms. There are enough herbs to liven up the stuffing but not so much to overpower the delectable delicate mushrooms. Love 'em. I like their Ahi Tuna (most restaurants in the area have a mainstay of frozen salmon which is pretty pedestrian and expensive) which is fresh (as well as their fresh trout!) and has ginger and spices with it. They do it right as many a place will overcook their tuna. They have also had other ecofriendly fish dishes on the menu instead of drawing from fish that have been over used and over fished. I really like their bread which is grilled, has garlic and truffle oil on it. My fav is a flatiron steak with a pepper rub and it has chimichurri with it. This is delish and really big so I can take some back home with me. The vegetable here are fresh and I think they grow them themselves from what I've heard. THE BEST: they have just the greatest desserts here: they have an orage and ginger cream brulee that is really good and also a chocolate raspberry mousse that we always order. You can also sit on their patio or in their main part of the restaurant. I really like this place and my parents, boyfriend and I go there at least once a week. read more

Spent a week in Lander for training. The food here is excellent but definitely very pricey. The staff is pretty friendly but if you want the meal to end in less than 2 hours I recommend sitting at the bar. My biggest complaint here is that nothing opens before 5. You can't even have a drink before the kitchen opens. You could walk next door to grab a drink but good luck on being acknowledged and served. read more
