Quaint local bakery and coffee. Delicious offerings. Friendly service. Don't leave town without checking them out.

Local art on the walls

Went to both Lincoln Street Bakery and Lander Bake Shop and this is by far the better choice if you want to have a delicious breakfast burrito that won't tear open your wallet. The prices at LSB were ridiculous for a place like Lander. We drove right over to Lander BS, then returned again the next day for more food. Love the chillaxed, mountain vibe and the local crowd here too.

We visited this bakery a few times while on vacation in September of 2021. There is some parking off the street on the side of the bake shop. They have really amazing food!! The bacon/eggs, coffee, cinnamon roll, brownie, and scone were all delicious! There was a very nice/friendly lady taking orders at the counter. We loved Lander, WY and definitely would come back to this bake shop if we're ever in the area again. You'll definitely want to check them out!

Nitro brew of my dreams
Oakley B.

LBS always puts up with me whenever I come into town and for that I am so grateful. My summer order is always a Nitro brew to stay(better than any Nitro back in NYC) and a garlic Parmesan bagel, toasted with Southwest cream cheese. In the winter I'll switch out the nitro for an oat or almond milk cappuccino UNLESS it's the holidays and in that case, they are INCREDIBLY gracious in fulfilling my request of an eggnog cappuccino(which is amazing btw and tastes like marshmallows) PLUS, when I'm feeling like I don't want to stoke my gluten sensitivity(which should be always but I really love these bagels), they have a great selection of gluten-free baked goods. AND they are committed to supporting local artists by way of their gallery wall space, the jam sessions on Saturdays, Lander Unplugged and so much more.

Croissant, cinnamon roll, exploding bread, cappuccino
Kim N.

Wow, the pastries here are so good, much better than they look on display! The exploding bread had perfect texture and amazing flavor with pesto and cheese, but not overwhelming. The croissant was perfectly crispy, fluffy and flaky. The coffee was really flavorful as well.

Very large seating area for a bakery. Fairly priced, good taste. Nice bake shop! Cinamon rolls were out, but we did go near closing time .

Good breakfast sandwich and atmosphere. But only 3 stars because of the slowness. 50 minutes for an egg, bacon, & cheese on a bagel.

HAVE AGAIN: The almond croissant at $5.10 (pricey) was delicious and 5 star good. Still, a bit expensive.

Great little cafe in a fine town. Very tasty pastries and coffee and some vegan options for those of that disposition.

Over rated loud place expecting a tip for counter service. This place won't make it once they get some competition.

BEST BAKERY EVER. We had the banana chocolate espresso scone, quiche, and breakfast burrito. I would come back to Lander just for this food.

Well, if you are one of the coastal elite who have invaded the cowboy town that I've spent summers…read morein for over 50 years, you might like this place, otherwise, steer clear of it. On the positive side, their outside dining space is delightful. Shady, tree filled and charming. If you simply want a place for a coffee and a chat - enjoy! Now to the food. The menu seems overthought from the get go. Constant references to local, housemade etc. It tries to sell a certain experience but completely fails to deliver. My mom and I both opted for a simple grilled cheese sandwich with a cup of tomato bisque soup. Soup was solid if on the salty side. I almost have no words for how bad the simple grilled cheese was. No butter or oil of any kind on outside of sandwich. Cheese on inside was a slice of provolone and some scattered cheddar. Not even melted through. Tasted more like stale bread than grilled in anyway. Vessel for soup had such a small top opening that it was impossible to dip without cutting the sandwich beyond halves. (Isn't dipping what you order grilled cheese and tomato soup to do?) Water was never refilled at table despite two requests when they came by to refill coffee. My friends had a quinoa bowl with poached egg on top and the other a simple cheeseburger. Neither even finished half which tells me a lot. The friend who ordered a cheeseburger decided to try their "signature " sautéed spinach instead of fries as a side. His spinach side could have fit into a teaspoon. This place might appeal to the NOLA/girls with unshaven armpits crowd but for honest, hungry people- walk away. It's just a very bad presentation of cali style casual cuisine. BTW, four of us. Two grilled cheese/cup of tomato soup plates, two coffees, one quinoa bowl and one cheeseburger with a teaspoon of spinach- 100+ Unbelievable. The more I see all the gentrification of californication of Lander, the more I hate it and unfortunately, the Middle Fork pretty much sums up what is wrong with Lander's "emerging " food scene.

I previously reviewed this restaurant and loved it. Visited today and ordered the exact same…read morebreakfast featured in my earlier review (2 eggs to order). It was awful. Potatoes were burnt, scrambled eggs overdone and rubbery, spinach slimy and greasy. If that's still "locally sourced" bacon they should save themselves some money and go to Safeway. Solidly underwhelming experience. Will not be returning.
