But you need to deal with very poor service, it starts with ordering at the counter and they immediately flip the Ipad around soliciting for tips, when we were there 10/12/25 in the afternoon they with blaring gangster rap from the kitchen while there was music from the bar. There is signs for you to bus your table so again piss poor setup, the food here is by no means cheap so it is not great. But the pizza was good. read more

We went on a Thursday at 5:30, there was a line to order of 5 people, didn't think much of it. The girl taking order was knowledgeable and a loath. Never said order would take a long time. We Ordered a Mandarin Salad, wings, kids burger and kid pizza. We waited for 45 minutes and had not received food. I went to the counter to ask and the girl there said it would be the next order out of the kitchen. I went back out to wait, 4 or more employees came out with food. Not ours. The couple next to us had ordered and came out 20 minutes after we had ordered. They received their food, had 2 rounds of beers and left while we still waited for our food. When our food finally arrived after 56 minutes since ordering the food was mediocre at best. Pizza was good. Burger was dry, fries were over seasoned, wings where nothing special the blue cheese with the wings was beyond warm and the salad was wilted, sad and bland. We spent almost 2 hours there and besides enjoy conversation with my family I felt like my time had been stolen. Don't waste your money or time. read more

This place is a PERFECT spot to visit both before and after a hike into the woods (which we did). Our crowd of 9 people could easily find a spot outside on the tables. The service was quick and friendly and the food was SO good. I got pizza the first time and a burger the second time and loved both. Fries were delicious. On the way down out of the Wind River Reservation, we had a 30 minute conversation about what we would order from here and just thinking about it now makes me hungry again. A real gem! read more

After backpacking 33 miles in 2 days with some rain and thunder, we came here for food. I had rib-eye stake sandwich with upgraded salad. First, the salad was big. Big plus. We placed a to-go order at the counter, got a number. And waited an hour for our food and they weren't even busy. My husband asked about our order after 30-mins they said it wasn't ready. I asked at the hour mark and it had been sitting under a back counter the whole time. Food was cold and gross. The girl at the counter said it hadn't been there long but you could tell it had cause the boxes were cold. No refund, no offer to remake it. We stopped in for lunch. You order at the counter. Really nice menu. We had fish 'n chips, a black 'n blue burger. Sides were waffle fries and onion rings. They deliver to your table. Everything perfectly cooked and delicious. The bar had about 9 or so drafts on tap. Hefeweisen for me. Really good. We ate on their large, treed patio. Highly recommend it. There's also a brewery across the patio but it wasn't opened yet. Go if you're in Lander or vicinity. read more

First, the positives. Outdoor space is charming. Food is overpriced and ill prepared, service is pretty nonexistent. The details: four of us for a late lunch, so no crowd. You have to order at a counter and serve yourself drinks. Okay if price reflects this, but it doesn't. Two of us ordered the slow cooked pork sandwich with coleslaw on grilled sourdough. Bread was so over grilled that it hurt to try to bite through it and both of us had to resort to utensils to eat filings only. I ordered the cross cut fries with mine and asked for them to be well done. They came underdone and stuck together. I returned to the counter with my meal (in basket) and asked if my fries could be redone, well this time. Cashier wanted my whole meal. I suggested that she get another basket for fries so I could continue with my sandwich or just redo another order of fries for me. She explained that she'd have to charge me for another order of fries that way. I don't expect a brain surgeon behind the counter, but replacing I'll cooked fries and allowing me to keep my sandwich seems like an easy ask. I just gave up. My sister's pizza (fennel sausage) was so overwhelmed with green olives that it was inedible. Food took nearly an hour. Crummy, overpriced bar food and bad service is how I'd sum this place up. I want to give this place 3.5 stars, but can't. Hubby and I both ordered the black and blue burger. They definitely were cooked rare, as ordered the meat had more white (fat, connective tissue ??) than mort burgers. I will say the flavor was good and it wasn't super greasy but the meat just didn't look the leanest.. The grilled onions were pretty much still raw. I had barely any blue cheese on mine. The sweet potato fries were delicious. Some of the best that I've ever had. Then it bothered our stomachs the rest of the evening. Just making us belch. So I wouldn't go back, simply because the burger kept coming back all evening! The inside and outside eating area were nice. This place looks like your standard "Burgers n' Brews!" tourist trap. Don't be fooled like I almost was. It's not that at all! It has some of the best burgers I've ever had, same goes for the fries. This seemed like a nice little spot to try on a motorcycle ride and was definitely Yelp worthy! And they had two of my favorite things... pizza and REALLY GOOD BEER! Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the beer, but it was a rye beer and was bold, smokey and smooth! Great cook on the burger, flavor was on point! Sweet potato fries were a great compliment with the tangy flavor of the bleu cheese and rye beer. Pizza crust was definitely a wonderful crispness, and held the toppings the way a pizza should. If you happen to be on the way to Yellowstone National Park/Grand Tetons, make this a stop. Very busy place and plenty of room. Even an upstairs dining area. The Gannett Grill and Lander Bar have always been a staple of Lander, but lately it has gone down hill and is not the GG I remember eating growing up. The food is inconsistent and sometimes may not even be edible due to how burnt it is. Items that tend to come with a side sauce such as wings now feature a $3 extra charge for the dipping that you need. I live in Lander and I have been to the Gannett multiple times. The food is good enough that I keep coming back, which is why this review js a 3 and not a 1. I have always enjoyed the meals I have and the atmosphere is super great, but I do have to say that the service at this place is piss poor. When you walk into a place where the food is priced as high as this place is, you expect the food to be as good as the service. Unfortunately this is not the case at the Gannett Grill. I have had crappy service more times than I've had stellar service and it just makes me sad. This is the second time I have been here. The burgers are fun and unique. I got the Hawaiian style burger with a side salad. I don't think they make their own dressing though, so that was kind of a bummer. Mayonnaise based dressings are kind of yuck. Do yourself a favor and stop here! This place is a hidden gem for sure! The When Pigs Fly sandwich was so perfectly crafted. Every aspect of it was a much needed pop of flavor. The fries on the side were crispy and delicious and the fry sauce is a must get, it's absolutely addictive. The pizza was excellent as well, super cheesy and the pesto was fresh but not too overpowering. The missing star is because we got the wings and they were weirdly tuff and a little dry.
