My job used this company for catering recently....The food was amazing, I normally tend to not like tofu, but their teriyaki tofu was amazing. The texture was everything! I wish it was a restaurant I could order from! I'm not sure if the servers were from the company, but they were amazing and friendly! read more

I am so happy I chose Wilma Lott Catering for my moms Celebration of Life. I wanted a Hawaiian theme menu and their choices for food were perfect. My guests commented about how delicious the food was and they were so nice and easy to work with, even when I had to change my date due to unforeseen circumstances. They arrived promptly and set everything up quickly. I would definitely recommend Wilma Lott Catering for any type of event. read more

Celebrated St. Patrick's Day with one of our favorite Martinez take out places. We ordered in advance as you need to with their curbside offerings and then just picked it up at our chosen time. The highlights were the mouth watering corned beef, Guinness gravy meatballs and the soda bread was so good. We happen to love boiled cabbage - more next year please! The decadent chocolate cupcake later on capped off a very satisfying meal. Home cooking without the cooking ‍ And the people at the pickup table are always cheerful and friendly. Follow them on fb or instagram to see upcoming curbside meals. I heard their lasagna is really good. And did you know they just won the Santa Cruz clam chowder competition?? If we needed to cater an event, we would definitely give the a try based on the to go food we've tried. read more

This review is from 3/25/2021 Wilma Lott catering is an excellent caterer. Which is why, when I found out they were doing curbside lunch, I jumped at the chance. So far the steak sandwich and the chicken salad sandwiches are my favorite! So delicious. They cook to order the steak right there outside in a grill. I got half way thru my sandwich today before I realized I should take a picture and submit a review. Also, their customer service is top notch! The take great care to pay attention to allergies! I highly recommend them! read more

Warning about Wilma Lott: Food Safety Issue! Wilma Lott catered my daughter's Bat Mitzvah party in May 2024. During the planning and tasting the service was great but the execution of the event was terrible & dangerous! We had an ice cream sundae bar as part of our desserts. We ordered mini m&ms to be on the sundae bar. Wilma Lott unbeknownst to us put peanut butter m&ms on the ice cream bar. We only discovered this after a friend's child with a peanut allergy became sick. When I notified Wilma Lott the following day, the owner called me and apologized saying they noticed the packaging on the m&ms was different than usual but didn't know why. ‍ They clearly didn't read the bag which at a children's event is dangerous. They are not at all detail oriented in the execution of their events, maybe because as the venue coordinator said, "they sent their C team." Not a single person from the company touched base with me at the event---nobody was in charge. The timing of the hots d'ouvres was so off that one of them was almost entirely left over. They did not put out the cupcakes at the specified dessert time. I put event logo stickers on 120 white paper sundae cups. There were leftover plain ones in the same box just in case. WL staff used the plain ones first. I'm left with 90+ cups with stickers on th with the date of our event---unusable for something else. And I put the stickers on for the added touch--time & money wasted thanks to WL.Absolutely no attention to detail! The food was also not nearly as good as it was during the tasting. I will not use them again and do not recommend them. read more

Wilma Lott was great during the whole process of catering our wedding. The moment we got into the door we were treated with warmth and professionalism. The food, service, and communication from all staff was impeccable. Food was a priority at our wedding, since Sara and I love eating almost as much as we love each other. Wilma Lott exceeded our expectations for how good catering can be. Many of the guests remarked on how well cooked the Mahi-mahi was. Sara and I found the lamb riblets to be divine, especially after our ceremony where we stood in the 100 degree sun for 30 minutes. Big thank you to the whole Wilma Lott team who worked in the intense heat for hours, serving 130 guests and made it look easy. Also thank you Mallory for being so on top of everything before our big day. read more

I haven't gone to any of the catering companies for meals during the pandemic, but I saw the THICK-CUT Rosemary-Apricot Pork Chop post by Wilma LottCatering in Martinez, and I had to try it! I had just picked up dinner, but I knew I could save that for lunch. The pork chop was a HUGE double cut, it was cooked perfectly, and absolutely delicious! It came with butternut squash ravioli with browned sage butter, brussel sprouts, a green salad, and some cornbread. This scrumptious meal was just $22!!! I also picked up a lasagna to cook at home early tomorrow so I can bring some to my mom. Wilma LottCatering is open for pick up only. They typically post their on Facebook. read more

Wilma Lott catered our wedding day. We first reached out to them hoping they could help us with our dream menu, a Persian buffet. They said of course! We sent them some recipe ideas and they brought them to life. At the tasting, we could not believe how amazing the food was. At the wedding, all of our guests raved about the food the whole night, and even today they still talk about it. We had multiple people ask for recipes! The day-of catering staff was so kind, hard-working, and respectful. They prepared everything beautifully and were very professional. Thank you to Robert, Amanda, and the day-of crew for making the food the hit of our wedding! read more

I used Wilma Lott to cater an event at my office, and Kerri was great to work with in planning my menu and helping me keep the costs down. Justin, Irini, and Romero were the on site chefs. They were friendly and worked fast. Justin in particular was great at communicating and understanding what I needed. He is so awesome and I am always happy to see him walk in with the catering crew! One example: my coworker came in when the banquet table was 1/3 set up and informed me that she needed our linens for an event tomorrow morning. I told Justin that I was concerned that the linens might get dirty during service, and he went out to the van, disassembled what was already set up, and put a table runner down to protect the linens. Everything was served on time, waters kept getting refilled, and they were fast at breaking down the buffet and packaging the leftovers. Justin showed great concern in making sure that they were doing everything they needed to dispose the trash or clean up (we have onsite janitorial services, so that was not needed). The food itself was fantastic. My favorite things were the shortbread with berries and whipped cream and the bacon wrapped dates with blue cheese. Definite must-order if you have a buffet. The caprese skewers' cheese tortellini was a bit dry but other than that I liked everything else I ordered: pecan strawberry salad, sirloin carvery station (no extra cost for carvery), butternut squash ravioli, roasted vegetables. Wilma Lott is my go-to for catering at my office! read more

My husband and I have been going to Wilma Lott Catering for take out since they started this service in early June 2020. Each and every meal is homemade and delicious. Rob uses the freshest ingredients for all of his lunch and dinner menus. Everything is seasoned and cooked to perfection. Some of our favorite meals are his homemade Beef bourguignon, BBQ Pork Ribs slathered in sauce, served with classic potatoe salad, Clam Chowder that comes with a warm sourdough bread bowl, Chicken Marbella, the mix of ingredients are outstanding in this dish and of course the chicken salad sandwich on a fresh croissant. Each week it's hard to decide which meals to purchase, everything is so good. read more

We have contracted with Wilma Lott for a few work functions and the experience has been nothing but positive. I especially like that they are a local, family-run company who have been in business for decades. Communication during the planning process is always open and prompt. They are clear about any needs on their end, such as access to water on site. The price is quite reasonable, considering the quantity, quality, service, and attention to detail. They create a beautiful table scape, that always gets lots of compliments from our participants. At our most recent event, we were also upgraded to "real" table cloths at no cost. The fajita bar is particularly delicious, with chicken, steak, fajita veggies, and all the fixings. Everyone can load up their plate with all their favorites. Lastly, the day-of staff are reliable, friendly, and super helpful. One example was when one of them overheard that we were on the hunt for a pair of scissors and she offered up their pair for us to borrow. They will remain one of our go-to caterers! read more

I happened to be getting service done on my car next door and hadn't eaten lunch yet. I saw a stand for Wilma Lott Catering and walked there to check out the menu. They serve lunch and dinner for pick up only. I was able to buy a lunch there for $15. It included a Philly cheesesteak, tortellini pasta salad, some grilled veggies on the side, drink, chips and a choice of brownie or cookie. Everything is freshly made and the portions were generous. I am looking forward to trying out the dinner menu. Side note: It's suggested to preorder your meal online. Walk up orders may be limited. read more

I highly recommend Wilma Lott Catering! I have used their services several times and they always exceed my expectations! Top quality catering, patient and helpful service, and reasonable prices. They catered my daughter's bat mitzvah in October and it went off without a hitch. We received many compliments on the food, both for quality and the menu. At the tasting, almost everything we tried was on par with very good restaurant quality food. Kerri was incredibly helpful in working with us on picking a menu, and answering all our questions in the days leading up to the event. We were especially impressed that the quality of food at the actual event really held up well compared to the tasting. With other caterers, you might expect some drop off in quality with the higher volume quantities needed. But not so with Wilma Lott. They also seem to be able to make just about anything...when we asked about having some Indian food options they even researched it and created a vegetable samosa passed appetizer (this was top notch and so popular especially with our Indian guests that we ran out!) and a tofu tikka masala (we did not go with this in the final menu because we went with more Italian instead). Finally, their crew at the event was managed by Maria, who was the absolute best. She took care of the little detail items, from set up to our candy bar table, to coordinating the schedule with our DJ. She came to ask us when there was a decision or a change to be made, but she was helpful and low pressure about that. Overall, she made it her mission to make sure we could have a great time at our own event...and that meant we had lower stress and more fun. I would definitely use them at our next event! read more

Would 100% recommend Wilma Lott Catering! They came highly recommended from a family member of mine and they lived up to the praise. I hired them to do a plated dinner service for my recent backyard wedding and from start to finish it was the best experience!! They were so helpful in planning out the wedding menu, gladly making some adjustments along the way. All of the food was delicious, including 25 orders of filet mignon that somehow all came out perfectly. Guest raved! The chef is very talented and the staff was awesome.... friendly and helpful and did an amazing job cleaning up afterwards. Will definitely use this team again in the future. read more

I have used Wilma Lott for two of my events (baby shower in 2021 and my child's first birthday in 2022). Both times, the food and the customer service were exceptional. They are so easy to communicate with and they accommodate all dietary needs (we needed gluten and dairy free options). They arrived exactly on time to set everything up and the table looked beautiful! We ordered Hawaiian style buffet and all of my guests raved about the food and told me how delicious it all was. The Hawaiian pulled pork came wrapped in banana leaf packets and they had a watermelon carved in the shape of a flower - the details in all of the food were exceptional. I will be using and recommending Wilma Lott for ALL future events. Thank you! read more

We hired Wilma Lott Catering for a mid-week, backyard wedding reception. We expected 3, but they came with a crew of 6! The team provided excellent service, great food and left ample leftovers for us to dine on for the next few days. They were a pleasure to work with and everyone enjoyed the meal! Only thing I would do different is rent the stemware from the company we rented the tables and chairs from - only because they had to pick up all glassware when they left at 9, and we still had people here enjoying the party. It all worked out as we had plastic cups to switch to. read more

We used Wilma Lott catering for our wedding, and they did a great job. For a wedding there is a lot that goes into catering, it's not just the food. They are incredilbe. They catered our 100 person wedding in August 2014 at the Garden at Heather Farms and everything was perfect. The food is incredible. People are still commenting on how tasty everything was. The presentation was stunning and artistic. The staff were professional, attentive and so kind. We were impressed from our first tasting to our follow up meeting and even more so the day of our wedding. We loved them! Kerri went out of her way to help us get everything that we wanted. We needed to rent chairs for the reception and they handled it completely. Honestly, we'd use them again in a heartbeat. I also think the employees of Wilma Lott must enjoy working there because every person we interacted with at the company was smiling and seemed genuinely happy. read more

Wilma Lott Catering truly surprised us! We got so many compliments on our food, with many people going back for seconds at the buffet, which we did not expect from 'wedding food'. We were planning the wedding long distance so did not get a chance to meet the staff in person or do a tasting, so it was based on their reviews and relationship with the venue and our coordinator that we just trusted it would work out. We didn't want the stereotypical fare and limited vegetarian options so went with a Thai inspired menu that they were able to pull from other recipes. We also did some add on desserts which were very popular. The package and pricing per person was incredibly budget friendly and included water service and a beverage table for tea/coffee/lemonade. read more

I decided to treat myself by having my boys' double grad party catered. I have never enjoyed a hosted event more. We did a delicious fajita bar and the guests just raved about the food. Wilma Lott catered our wedding on 11/06/16, and honestly, I could not have asked for a more positive vendor experience. We worked with Kerri from the very beginning. I took notice of her pleasant emails and quick response times, as well as the fact that their estimate was the most reasonable out of the caterers we contacted. We were very impressed by the food at our tasting, and hoped that it would taste just as good made in bulk 11 months later. On the day of our wedding, we had guests scrambling to get crab puffs during cocktail hour! We continued to receive compliments on the food all throughout the reception; everything was just as tasty as we remembered it. Honestly, they gave us a ton of leftovers afterwards (we had about 6 people who cancelled the week before) so we've been eating them for the last couple of days, and even those are delicious! The waitstaff was absolutely amazing. We had planned to help set up all the place settings and decorations during cocktail hour, but they found my bags with everything in them and set them up (correctly!) They were also very attentive and professional. Kerri: thank you for helping to give us such an amazing brunch reception, for answering all of my inane questions, and for being such a joy to work with. I would recommend Wilma Lott a million times over! read more

Wilma Lott is such a professional catering operation. To start Kerri was attentive with phone calls as we shopped around for our 300 people auction event. All pricing and policies we clear and she answered call and emails quickly. At the start of our event a professional friendly staff came in and worked so efficiently. We felt so comfortable and at ease with the managers and staff that they had everything handled. The asked maybe a couple of questions and just got on with everything. The reviews on the Hors D'oeurves/Salad and dinner we above and beyond. Food was hot and cooked to perfection. Clean up was done so quickly and never seemed to get in people's way. I would recommend Wilma Lott to anyone with a big or small event. Everyone was amazing! Thank you! Rachel Becker Christ the King Auction read more

There is no other catering service better than these guys! They were a part of our special day on March 12 and made everything so easy. Communication with Kerri is an absolute breeze and it's so obvious that she truly enjoys her job and loves to make sure that her customers are completely satisfied. We ended up having 2 appetizers; flat bread squares with goat cheese, caramelized onions and pancetta (you will SO regret not having these at your wedding) and the veggie egg rolls, which I heard were fantastic during the cocktail hour. The main courses were the tri tip carving station which was cooked PERFECTLY, Alfredo sauce pasta, chicken Florentine and steamed veggies. Kerri allowed me to make it completely custom to the point that we were able to pick the vegetables used in the steamed veggie dish, that was so appreciated. Another amazing thing is that my husband and I weren't able to really eat the food, as we were pre-warned that the bride and groom usually never eat at their own wedding. So, I emailed Kerri and she is going to put together a little care package for us with our wedding food! I am so excited! One more thing! EVERYONE raved about the wedding food. I had at least 5 people come up to me before the night ended and informed me that it was by far the BEST wedding food they've ever had. Which is a big deal as food and music are the two main things that guests remember about a wedding. DO IT! read more

Wilma Lott catered our wedding on March 30th, 2015 at Heather Farms in Walnut Creek. We were planing our wedding while living in Hawaii. Kerri from Wilma Lott helped me with everything from beginning to end. She was able to schedule a taste testing for us during December (a very busy time for caterers). She responded to all my emails in a timely manner. She was overall a pleasure to work with and made the whole process so much easier. We were able to customize our menu to our liking. The tomato soup shooters with the grilled cheese appetizers were perfect. And the butternut squash ravioli were to die for! All of our guests really enjoyed the food and often went up for seconds. The staff were professional and made sure that everything went smoothly. I would definitely recommend Wilma Lott and use them again! Thank you!!! read more

Wilma Lott Catering - Table set up and buffet in the back at Heather Farms - Caterers Near Me - Martinez, California

This company is the total package. I used them to cater my wedding on September 21, 2013. All night I received compliments not only on the food but also on the service. The staff was great. They were fun and friendly. The food was more than ample - we had enough to feed us for a week! So much good yummy food! My guests told me that they almost filled up on the appetizers and then enjoyed the filling buffet of blacken fish, BBQ chicken, buerre blanc salmon, two types of pasta as well as three salads, cornbread, and rolls. The fruit carvings were great and we had two adorable carrot bunnies. This company also arranged rentals and that went off without a hitch as well. I would use them again for another event. The price was right, we like most people were on a tight budget, but their website gave us an idea of how much it would cost. We had a wedding of about 66 guests and they had enough staff and food to feed an army. This company is worth it. We had a tasting noted what we did not like and they made the changes. Seriously the food was GREAT! The staff was AWESOME. Highly recommend this company, I found them on Yelp and I was not led astray! read more

I recently used Wilma Lott to cater my friend's bridal shower. I did a pick-up appetizer order, but given the level of customer service I received, you would have thought I was spending thousands of dollars there. I worked with Kerri throughout the ordering process and she could not have been kinder. She always answered my emails in a timely manner and even offered selection suggestions based on her personal knowledge of the yummy food. She is fantastic! On the day of, I sent my lovely mother to pick-up the food. Her phone died on her way there and without the address and her trusty GPS, she was having a hard time finding the location. I was starting to get nervous as I, too, had no way to get in touch with her. A wonderful gentleman (I can't remember his name!) from the office called me and I let him know my mother should hopefully be there soon. I called again to check about 15 minutes later and he answered the phone with "We found her!" It appears they were on the look out for her! Given that her phone had died and she didm't know how to make it to the location of the shower, they even provided her with directions there too. Excellent service. I will definitely be using Wilma Lott again! read more

Hi Nicole, I know this is kind of late, but I really wanted to tell you how successful the birthday party for my Dad's 80th was on June 1st. As always, your staff out did themselves. This is the 3rd time that I have experienced your catering and it was an absolute amazing experience again. The food was outstanding. Everyone had nothing but compliments on the food and on the wait staff. People commented how friendly and professional they all were, and they couldn't believe how good all of the food was and how much there was also. Please pass the compliments on to all of them. I am still getting compliments from folks now. So, again, thank you for all of your help in making this party such a success. My parents were very happy. I will highly recommend Wilma Lott Catering to anyone and everyone. I hope to use your services again one day. Much continued success. Thank you. Peace, Helen Stevens P.S. My wedding was about two and a half years ago, and my sister was wed in 2001 (i think!) and we both went with Wilma Lott Catering. This little business is in Martinez, kinda off the beaten path. The only draw back was trying to find the place. Everything else was fantastic! As soon as I saw their available menus, I knew this was the place. I was married in Oakland, and everything was great. We set up a Mediterranean menu, mostly Greek-inspired. It was all delicious. Things that were included: The food (obviously) Cutlery Dishes Stemware Table cloths & napkins Tables & Chairs Coffee, juices, and water (We opted to provide our own alcohol) We opted to do a buffet style meal, which was awesome. OH! and the carved fruit was beautiful as always. That man is an artist. Coordinating everything was amazingly smooth, and convenient, too. read more

I am delighted with my experience with Wilma Lott Catering. They catered my wedding on 4/23/16 and I was extremely pleased with their service throughout. The company runs like a well oiled machine with all details clearly laid out in advance and reasonable prices. Kerri was extremely professional, accommodating, patient and helpful. All communication was clear and prompt. Our wedding planning kicked into high gear once we started working with Kerri and she gave us some much needed advice. I was delighted with the food. There was a large selection to choose from and everything was delicious and very good quality. We attended a tasting before the wedding and we were impressed with the delicious food and the excellent service. Our wedding guests were very well taken care of and that was our top priority. They provided uniformed staff who were extremely professional and accommodating. The carved fruit was gorgeous and such a nice touch! This company has been in business for years. They are honest, reliable, reasonably priced and they deliver! It meant the world to me to have such a solid reliable caterer in the midst of all the wedding planning chaos. 5 stars for Wilma Lott. Wilma Lott catered our wedding at Heather Farms in July 2012. We selected Willma Lott for several key reasons: 1. They totally were into the idea of having a couple of Korean-y dishes, whereas other caterers were, like, "what's kimchi?" We even were able to have lunch at a Korean restaurant with Robert to make sure the family style set-up would match our expectations. Robert, in fact, was at our wedding, grilling the kalbi as we were entering the premises for pre-ceremony photos. That was one of the best moments of the day! So if you want to have "ethnic" food at your wedding, definitely try out Wilma Lott! 2. Samantha, who led us through the tasting, was really on the ball and knowledgeable about all kinds of food. We wanted to work with a Samantha-like person. 3. Wilma Lott has done maybe dozens if not hundreds (?!) of events at our venue. That was very reassuring for us. It required very little coordination in terms of table stuff and take-down and stuff. Extra bonus point: they let us take the booze we bought and keep it in their fridge. They brought the booze to the venue with no extra charge. What amazing service! read more

This is a long overdue review! Wilma Lott catered my wedding in 2001! They were so easy to work with and communicated very well with the other vendors. The food was delicious and our wedding guests even complimented us on the caterer. They packaged up some the left over dinner and sent it to the hotel with us. It was just as good reheated! I have recommended Wilma Lott to several friends. My sister-in-law will be using them soon. I will update my review after her wedding. I'm sure the service will be just as good! read more
