After reaching out to a bunch of places, I went with Havana because I had tried their food before and their pricing was very reasonable. We ordered full trays of adobo chicken, lechon roasted pork, crispy tofu, paella, sofrito rice, black beans, corn, poblano mac and cheese, and plantains. I did bring in one dish from another restaurant, Jamaican oxtail, just because I know my guests are big foodies. The biggest hits from Havana were definitely the poblano mac and cheese, lechon, and the paella. Honestly, the mac and cheese was the standout. Everyone kept going back for it and I wish I had ordered an extra tray. What really stood out to me though was the delivery experience. The driver called me ahead of time, brought everything in, and set it all up. He opened the trays with gloves, added sauces, arranged everything nicely, and even put out utensils and labels. I've had plenty of catering deliveries before and this was easily one of the best. He was just genuinely kind and went above and beyond, and it made a big difference. Overall, everything went smoothly, the food was great, and I would definitely order from them again.

The saffron rice is also good, though some more oil would be nice. They also offer extreme contrast of flavors - a side of pickled cabbage that's really tart and a single jalapeño pepper that's spicy for me. Definitely plan to try some of their other offerings. She customized the menu to incorporate Asian flavors and to accommodate my guests who were gluten and dairy free. On the day of the wedding, her staff and bartenders executed excellently. They were extremely professional, efficient and kind. My guests complimented on the delicious passed hor dourves during cocktail hour. We heard great feedback from our guests about the bartenders hired through Carol. Her staff made sure we had a plate with all the dinner dishes at the beginning of dinner. The transition from the buffet dinner to dessert went smoothly. And the best surprise of all was the cleanup at the end of the night. Carol's team collected all guests' dishes, cleared the plates, and put all the dishes in the rental crates where they came from. Coming home the next morning, I was expecting to walk into a complete mess, but her team also left my kitchen cleaner than it was before they came. I recently hired SImple Elegance for our first holiday party in our home and it was the best decision ever. I worked with Amber, who was lovely - super on top of all communication and very patient with all of my questions leading up to the event. She arrived on time for set-up, and brought the most delicious food for our event with perfect little signs and menus for our guests. We served appetizers at 5pm and dinner at 6pm, and Amber assured me that the food would stay warm for both courses on the sternos and equipment provided and she was absolutely right. The food was warm for HOURS at the party, which made everyone want to go back for 2nds and 3rds. They make clean-up so easy too where all you have to do is empty out the equipment and make sure there isn't any food inside, no washing or rinsing required. Portions were super generous and the food was sooo yummy. We have a bunch of really good chefs in our friend group and honestly, everyone was super impressed. My favorite items on the menu were the fiesta chicken endive salad, loaded potato bites, pretzel bites, goat cheese and sundried tomato crostinis, chicken breast in sundried tomato sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, and the pan seared tenderloin tips (basically our whole menu LOL).
