The Wings are great here, but the staff is not friendly AT ALL! They are almost down right rude. They would not budge on my request for all drums. This is not the place to visit if you have an aversion to fried food. Everything - and I mean everything - on the menu is deep fried - catfish, chicken, all the vegetables, even the desserts! Fried apple pie, fried cheesecake (my friend had it once and said it was delicious), and they even have funnel cakes. I sampled the chicken finger basket and it was delicious, the fries were hot and crispy, and the zuchinni and mushrooms were also tasty - very thick coating of batter. I'm not a big wing person, which Willy's is known for, but I will probably try some next week before Breafkast Club shows at Red Rocks. Mom'n' pop place with a sparse atmosphere (although there is a patio), airplane sized restroom, but great if you're in the mood to get your grease on. read more

i'm always up in morrison bouldering. next time you see people w big padded squares on their backs walking on the side of the road, they're bouldering. rock climbing on boulders sans rope! everytime i'm up there it smells like french fries. good french fries like they make at shitty bowling alleys. i've spent alot of time smelling those fries and not hiking down the hill and getting some nor finding out where that smell came from. apparently its been willy's wings enticing me w its exhaust fans so finally i went to check it out. the first time i went i had the chicken fingers medium. my bad they sucked thats what i get for ordering a five year old's meal. the fries were good though just like i imagined straight out of an bowling alley's diner! i actually sat out on the patio w a couple that was going to a meditation thing in evergreen who got the wings and they looked really good! they actually gave me one to try they made me do it..i wouldnt usually eat some strangers food but they were nice. it was a good wing w good sauce probably the best wing i've had in denver. i recently went back and got the wings hot...damn good but not really hot so if you like hot wings hot then bump up your order a bit. they counter lady was a bit bitchy that day but she was busy so i dont hold it against her. willy's has a great tiny patio w a ginormous tree growing in the middle of it which is nice for kicking back in uncomfortable patio furniture, getting your eardrums blasted by dudes riding by in chaps, and tossin back hot wings. they also have all kinds of crazy flavors if your into that sort of thing. read more

She was so rude to a customer on the phone I decided not to spend my money there, and I won't be going back : ) Food can't speak for itself!!!! Willys food is great and consistent, it's the service that sucks. The older lady who is always working is so rude I literally feel intimidated to even order food there. The other day I walked up waiting for her to take my order and she just stares me. Probably won't eat here anymore no matter how good the food is. This little place is a small treasure. Keep in mind I love hot wings and a Tuesday at Bdubs is my go to. With that in mind I'd consider the wing quality better than any big chain for both the boneless and standard wings. If you like the standard buffalo sauce then this place is a must go especially after a good workout at Red Rock. We also had the mushrooms but they were only okay. I have to say that I have two favorite places in Colorado, one being the Wing Wagon and now Willy's. The only reason Willy's does not get 5 stars is because I asked for them to be well done, the one thing I hate is slimy under cooked wings. Also when I asked for the xx-hot the sauce, its really weird like it is not pre-mixed like the plain hot and it just drips off instead of sticking to the chicken. I know I am being picky but I consider myself a wing connoisseur. The prices here are reasonable which I like because this boils down to fried chicken, this is not filet mignon. I also think they could be a little more adventurous with their sauces heck there are thousands upon thousands of hot sauces and BBQ sauces. My GF got come fried clams and they give you a generous portion. All in all I will be back. read more

These were hands-down the best wings I have ever had in my life. The outside of the restaurant doesn't look like much, but when you walk inside it only gets better. The service was incredible and the workers had a big smile on their face which made me feel at home. I ordered 10 of the regular mild wings and my friend ordered 5 honey-BBQ and 5 garlic-parmesan wings. We both wanted more after eating them and could not stop raving about how good they tasted the entire time we ate, and on the drive home. The skin was perfectly crispy and the chicken was moist and cooked better than I knew was even possible. The sauce was everything and more that anyone could ask for from a wing sauce. It was slightly tangy, with perfect heat, and packed full of flavor. It was so good, in fact, I was compelled to thank all of the staff including the chef. I could not recommend this wonderful restaurant enough to any fan of delicious food and amazing service, and I will definitely be returning! read more

Some of the best wings in Denver and they're right by Red Rocks! Lunch special is 10 wings and fries for like $7. They are very traditional, but can make them as hot as you want. They even have a spin-off in Golden called Jimmy's Wings... but I think Willy's is better. Hard to miss right off the Morrison exit, and I like to support mom and pop shops. Will definitely keep coming here as long as they keep playing music in the amphitheater. ;) read more

Been going to Willys for 12+ years and sadly will NEVER return after last nights visit. I used to consider this the BEST wing place in town and would drive clear across town every opportunity to visit. I've seen the management/owners switch from the Original (grouchy) couple, who were the best, to the frat guys and to now even a new couple of people I hadn't seen before. My Wife and I came in around 7:00 and there was only 1 other table of 2 people and 1 person waiting for a to go order. So it wasn't busy by any means, at least in house. Wings last night were terrible, took 45 minutes, and were barely luke warm at best. They were soggy and not well cooked though. The fries were hot, which means the wings sat around for however long until the fries (1 order) had cooked. When everything came out we had to remind the person to bring carrots and ranch, pretty sure that's a standard to any wing order right, kind of hard to "forget". Meanwhile as we waited a group of 6-7 guys from out of town for an event at bandimere came in and were told it would be a 60 minute wait for wings, so they did what we should have and left (we were told 25 minutes). I heard the group say IHOP was their next stop. Imagine running/owing a small local restaurant that patrons are willing to choose IHOP over your own, OUCH! Willy's has great traditional Buffalo Wings. They are crispy and delicious. I have only had the hot and it is a very traditional Buffalo wing sauce. Hot sauce and butter,classic. For lunch they have 10 wings, fries and a drink for $6.50. That's a smokin' deal. This is no Buffalo Wild Wings so don't expect 30 flavors of wings.
