The ordering process via phone was painful, the food took forever to arrive, and then it wasn't great. It's a quirky and interesting place (hence 3-stars, rather than 2-stars), but it doesn't deserve the hype and raves it gets from other reviewers. We had a Sacramento baked macaroni and cheese (40 minutes or so waiting) - OK, but not worth the wait, a Caesar salad (bland), and water (which we had to pay for). Ordering was a nightmare - one had to use the web-based app, but it was finicky - you have to enter your table number but it turns out that the page requires a specific form, and if you get it wrong ("7" rather than "07", then it doesn't work. I had to ask a server for help, but then he wouldn't take my order, just helped me use the app (but getting his attention for that took a while). We will not be going back.

Mac nation is a must visit spot after a hike in the Indian hills/red rocks area. The building is super cute and is family owned, and all the Mac and cheese here I've tried is delicious. I was a vegetarian for a long time and they have some great veggie Mac and cheese.

Great Mac and cheese, great service, reasonably priced, and such a cute location. Great place to stop by before a Red Rocks show. I've gotten the flight and tried many of the flavors and my favorite is the Wisconsin especially for any cheese lovers. The soft pretzel is another recommendation not for the pretzel but mostly how great the cheese sauce goes with it. It can get a little bit busy and the wait times become a little bit long but just be prepared depending on what time you are going. Recommend for any pre Red Rocks shows.

Mac is good- parking situation can get a lil iffy. They have an online ordering system- but it doesn't reflect all the menu items. We were trying to order a Mac flight and it said they're all sold out. Came before a show at Red Rocks, and it was pouring rain. There isn't an employee based inside (where seating is upstairs) so we either had to go downstairs in the rain or flag the server down when they delivered something. My friend waited 15 extra minutes for her food after we got ours. It was so weird- we finally flagged down our server but they didn't have any apology or justification.

The 'Colorado' Mac is excellent. Amazing flavor and a generous portion size. The soft pretzel with cheese is amazing as well. The pretzel texture was soft and the cheese sauce was homemade in the best way. This place is definitely worth stopping for if you're in the area and want something delicious to eat. The staff is kind as well! Parking and seating is super limited, it's probably best to just order takeaway.

We came around noon on a Sunday and they were slammed busy. It took 45 minutes for our Mac and cheese, but it was worth it. We tried the Carolina, the New Mexico, the Philly cheesesteak, and one with pesto. The pesto was our least favorite- a lot of flavor but just a little too weird for Mac and cheese. My favorite was the New Mexico and the Carolina. The Carolina had a sweet bbq sauce and pulled pork that was really good with the cheesiness of the Mac. The New Mexico had jalapeños that were balanced by chunks of cream cheese. It was good, especially for evergreen. One full size is enough for two people to split, and they don't do the flights on weekends, sadly.

Delicious Mac and cheese! Funky decor and fun ambiance. Note: it take a very long time. We put the order in while the kids were napping in the car, and they woke up exactly when the food was ready-- so that worked out! Great spot for people with kids and dogs. Large portions, decent prices. Would return!

I've been wanting to try this location out and I finally went yesterday! The location is really close to red rocks so it would definitely be a good spot to eat before a concert there. I unfortunately went during one of The hottest days and I sat in the inside area which was pretty toasty but they had a fan going. But again, I went on a scorching hot day. I had the panko Mac and cheese and I added bacon and Parmesan on top. It was delicious! I wasn't able to eat it all for lunch but I finished it off for dinner and it was still as delicious. The great cold beer also helped with the heat a little. The service was great and I was checked on a few times which was nice. I would highly recommend if you're in the area. I will be going back to try a different Mac and cheese dish!

Mac Nation was a lot of fun because it was so close to where we were staying with a friend and going to a Red Rocks show. The people here were all friendly. The food was yummy. Our friend had found this place from a tik tok so it was neat to try a place she had saw online that was so close by that we had never seen before! I tried their buffalo chicken one and thought it was a solid choice Buffalo chicken and blue cheese with cheeses spiral noodles. They are baked and it's a unique dish. My husband Ryan and my friend Danielle each tried a different one. (I don't remember the names but u can see how delicious they look in the video) We all enjoyed it and it was a lot of food... we all had leftovers! It's a little pricey but they are each specially made and baked individually which is also why there is a long wait. They put a sign out warning how long the wait for the food will be. Ours was a little over an hour so just a little longer than the sign said. I didn't know the wait time thing until we arrived there but now I would know for the future. The seating outdoors is close to the road on a corner and cars speed by here so quickly and there's also a lot of deer crossing so be careful everyone... especially with the littles. There's unique and cute decor everywhere as you can see from my video. They also play fun music and have a real nice vibe going on!

Amazing food and a unique experience! They offer over 40 options of Mac n cheese, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, breakfast, desserts, coffee and beer. This restaurant is located in a beautifully designed, rustic building. It has a friendly and welcoming vibe. The staff are very nice and provide a box full of kid art supplies and toys. They also are dog friendly, offering water and bowls. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Most of the tables are small or in tight spaces so, I would not recommend this for a large group that wants to eat together. The food is delicious! All of their Mac n cheese options are named after different states, which is a cool idea. We ordered the Arizona Mac n cheese and a Cuban sandwich. Both were amazing! I would love to try more varieties of their Mac n cheese.

Solid four and almost five type of place. Loved the ambiance and variety of choices. The coolest thing is they have a flight option that allows you to choose three different kinds. In order of favorites I liked the Idaho, Colorado and Texas. They also had a great amount of cheese and flavor. Idaho was my favorite because the tater tots on top felt cooked to perfection. Super fun place and off the beaten path.

Mac Nation Cafe in Indian Hills, CO. I truly believe that anything road side is going to taste better. This roadside Mac and Cheese place has all homemade food made with love and you can really taste it! I recommend the Mac and Cheese flight so you can taste a little bit of everything. It's a super cozy perfect place for a quick bite or take out. The service is really fast and everyone is super friendly! We visited the first week of October, so the plenty of outdoor seating was nice. The indoor seating was very cutely designed and the bathroom was clean. However, there is only one way to get to most of the seating so trying to navigate through this place is a bit of a hassle. The way to order was very confusing. We ended up talking to others seated around us to ban together to figure out how to place an order. After about 15 minutes of being unable to solve it, I went to order inside, but they told me I must order through the QR code. After finally figuring out how to order (you select the first number as the table, the second as the seat) it took another 35 minutes to get our order. The drinks only arrive with the food too, so we were waiting for those for about 35 minutes too. My husband went out to the car to bring us a bottle of water and was quickly snapped at for going the wrong way to get out of the restaurant (no signs were posted that you couldn't walk that way). Once our food came out the food runner was also very confused about where to take it, along with all the other tables as well. The Mac and cheese was totally fine, but I was expecting the flavor/meat to be mixed through out and not just a thin topping. I also wished we could have ordered smaller sizes. Two people could easily share one order and it would have been fun to try several different options. We notice there used to be a flight of 3 on the menu, but no longer.

Since they're part of the CamelBak and Stanley cup generation, they hadn't seen anything like them before. My son was impressed by the size of the kids' burger, and the fries were great. The rest of us had the NY Strip. I'd say it was good, but not great--though I did appreciate the blackened seasoning and the chimichurri. The grilled asparagus, however, was simply fantastic. The showstopper was the upside-down apple pie with what seemed to be homemade vanilla ice cream. Both were generous portions and kindly comped by our server for my birthday. Ambience - this isn't the best place for a business dinner. very quiet/romantic and i felt like our group was out of place there, but no one looked at us oddly. It felt more like we might have been interfering with their romantic vibe as we were talking business. The restaurant and staff present a very inviting atmosphere. Food, this is where i was disappointed. the Bread at the beginning was very good/ with salted butter. I ordered the salted radish appetizer and it honestly just felt like salted radishes on top of a puree that i didn't really care for. So would put this as a 5/10 in terms of rating. I got the rabbit, which was recommended as being the best entree option. i have never had rabbit previously and wanted to try it. I thought it was OK, but not very memorable. It did taste like dark meat chicken. however the chick peas they were served with were underdone (crunchy in texture) and simply not that good. Our dessert, blueberry Tres Leches, was the best of the 3. My dining companions had a variety of things (striped bass, meatballs), but no one was raving about their food. Service was quite nice. would give this more like a 3.5 out of 5, as the atmosphere and service were good. Sadly won't be returning.

However, the kitchen fails to deliver quality or good tasting meals, despite the well-sourced food. The menu is prix fixe. 2 appetizers and an entree, or 1 appetizer, entree and dessert. The salmon tartare was salty, too salty. The kefta balls were over salted as well. The onion tarte shell was so hard it could barely be chipped away to eat. When we mentioned this to our server, the response was we get more complaints about the tarte than any other appetizer. I was surprised to see that the appetizers were all served at the same time, so by the time, I ate the cold salmon, the warm kefta, besides being salty was also cool - might have been more appealing if warmer. The rabbit entree was dry, overcooked and tasteless. The accompanying garbanzo beans were undercooked, crunchy and too salty. The food highlight was the family style vegetables. Beets, onions, asparagus were alright; the sugar snap peas which still had strings were not as good. The dessert were disappointing as the rest of the meal. The macaron was brick hard, so hard, we had to ask for a fork and knife to chip hunks off of it. Tasteless. After we departed, my dinner companion said she wished we had sent the dessert back, it was so hard and inedible that we left most of it. Bramble & Hare has a few things going for it: Service was spot on, attentive, helpful and friendly. The wine list is very good. Ambience is pleasant and the dining room is quiet. I really wanted to like Bramble & Hare as the farm to table concept appeals, but with the poor food preparation, this is a tough restaurant to like.

There was no chili, no pork, nothing -- just basic mac and cheese that tasted like it came straight out of a box. My friend ordered a burger that was supposed to come with lettuce, blue cheese, and the works. Instead, it arrived with just chicken and bread. That was it. No toppings at all. The water we were given was also incredibly dirty -- it literally looked grey. Service somehow managed to be both overwhelming and nonexistent. While we were eating, the waiter came back to the table every couple of seconds so we couldn't even have a conversation. But when we were actually ready for the check, suddenly there was no waiter anywhere and we fwaited about 15 minutes. On top of that, every request got mixed up. I asked for blue cheese and after about 10 minutes the waiter came back with ranch. Then I asked for lemon vinaigrette (which the meal was supposed to come with) and instead got honey mustard. After explaining again, she came back with... even more honey mustard. We also paid $10 for fries with green chili and received about 15 fries. And one more thing when paying they did NOT bring my card back for about 20 minutes. It was also extremely dark where we were sitting all of the surrounding lights were off but everywhere else in the resteraunt was perfectly fine Overall the food quality, service, and attention to orders were extremely disappointing.
