Every seat filled on Friday morning

We were happily surprised by this local spot. Their crab explosion omelette was jampacked with lump crabmeat. Will definitely order again. A local best kept secret that had people funneling in. The staff is friendly and always busy. It's cozy, so I wouldn't recommend a large gathering but it is a nice place to get breakfast solo or with a small group. They have a wide selection of bread (not just the typical white/wheat - I had sourdough). I loved the local hometown feel with the fun artwork that featured their staff and the small communal library. They warned us to be prepared for waits on the weekends!

AMAZING SERVICE 10/10 Food? Amazing. Order the fresh toast Crème brûlée. Amazing food. I would definitely come back any time and any day, the ambiance small business so perfect

The place is un-assuming it is on a corner with parking, once you arrive seat yourself. The server comes over and is extremely pleasant and funny. My recommendations would be the Habanero burger it was delicious and the COLESLAW (yum).. I tried the blueberry crumb it was delicious and the cherry crumb was good. I suggest you drive over to WILLY's and check it out yourself.

This was my first time in a long time visiting Willy's. Willy's is a diner that serves really good menu items from locally produced farms. It's a small, busy establishment, so there's never hardly any seating there when I go, but the staff is really nice, and I always call in my food ahead so I never really have to deal with much of a wait, although standard wait times range from 15-25 minutes. I got the big boy breakfast, they didn't have the coffee crusted flank steak so I settled for the ribeye, with cheese eggs and home fries. My meal was ok. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium but it was medium well, and lacked seasoning and flavor. Not bad, just not what I was looking for. We also got the Challah bread French toast, turkey bacon, and although we ordered grits, with this meal, we got home and realized they weren't packaged with our food. My three year old enjoyed his Mickey Mouse pancake and sausage a lot. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience at all. Willy's just used to be my go to, and today didn't live up to those old standards.

My husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time this morning. We love locally owned, small businesses. However, this one disappointed. The restaurant is small, but that is fine. It was packed. Obviously there are a lot of people who are regulars. The decor is dark and a little outdated. However, they are festive. There were already easter decorations. As soon as we walked in one of the weight staff hollered over to us that we could see ourselves. Not long after we sat, someone was by to take a drink order. Our food order was taken a few minutes after our coffee arrived. Our food took quite some time to come out, but it looks like they have a skeleton crew, so we weren't very surprised. I ordered a Belton waffle with strawberries and whipped cream, and it came out plain. No strawberries or whipped cream. My waffle also came with bacon and eggs. My husband ordered the sausage and gravy and it came with aside of home fries and bacon. My husband said his food was OK, but it was nothing to write home about. Despite the fact that my waffle did not come with strawberries, the waffle itself was OK. Again, nothing to write home about. For what we got, the meal was also very expensive. We were very surprised when the check came. This seems like a nice neighborhood spot, but it's not somewhere that we will be going back to.

Willys is Farm to Table as much as possible

Organic comfort food served pleasantly by nice staff. I almost didn't want to write this because I wanted to keep it my little secret. But, if you're in northern Anne Arrundel county at any time, there is no way this place is a secret. Everything here is locally sourced by the owner because of his great relationships with local organic suppliers It's great to taste fresh orange juice, milk, fresh off the farm, Every entree is tasty and imaginatively prepared. His staff doesn't seem to turnover either. That says a little to me. And it's nice because I always feel like I am walking into a friends house for a meal.

Ask the Community - Willy's Kitchen

Will you be able to accommodate up to 12 people indoors? We are thinking of having a team lunch here in December.

It may be difficult, the inside is small. I would call them.

My wife and I were really looking forward to trying Illusions Restaurant & Bar after a good friend…read moreand his wife recommended it. Originally, we planned to go for my birthday, but when we couldn't get a reservation the day before, we made other plans. Fast forward to last week, excited to finally check it out I called to book a table for four for Sunday, August 10th, 2025. That included our friends who recommended the place. During the call, the music in the background made it hard for the hostess to hear me, so I had to repeat my info several times. By the end of the call, she confirmed everything and told me our reservation was set. We all made plans, kids with family, the whole day lined up. This was supposed to be stop #1 before hitting a few more spots together. But when we arrived, the hostess told us our reservation was canceled because we hadn't paid a deposit. This was news to us. No one mentioned a deposit during my call. I checked their website before booking, no deposit policy listed. Our friends even pointed out they'd been there before, sat in the same section they could see from the door, and were never asked to pay a deposit. Instead of trying to help, the hostess told us it wasn't their responsibility to inform customers about the deposit. No apology, no attempt to make it right, just moved on to the next guests while we were left outside figuring out our next move. Later that night, I messaged the business on Yelp hoping to clear things up. The reply I got back felt like an AI-generated template. So careless they even left "Sample Text Below" in the message. That told me everything I needed to know: the staff's behavior is a reflection of the leadership. For a place that only allows brunch with reservations, you'd think they'd have a clear and consistent process. Clearly, that's not the case. I wanted to like Illusions. I still believe in giving a place the benefit of the doubt. But this experience showed me that customer service here isn't a priority, and that's something no good food can make up for.

Free, surface parking lot in a shopping center (Food Lion). I arrived at 120 and checked my party in. No one is seated until 130p, so everyone just stood around waiting for their name to be called. Also, when you reserve, they send you a link to officially make your reservation and also pay a $20 deposit, that is taken off the check for whomever made the reservation My guest and I were seated in a comfy booth. Our waiter came over and was attentive to our needs/questions and explained how everything worked as "newbies". The buffet brunch was $55. If you want unlimited mimosas (OJ/Pineapple) that was an extra $20 and for flavors (Strabwerry, etc.) is was an extra $25. The buffet menu and "made to order items" were included in the $55. There was also an a la carte option. 18% gratuity is automatically added! DJ AJ Showtime and hostess started playing right before 130p and the restaurant lights were dimmed a bit. Music was great! Various food options (except any kind of desert) and they were all pretty good. There were two women who put food on your plate. It seemed like, we got in line for the buffet on order of seating. We sat down 2nd, so we were first in line. I went back for a 2nd plate (to try the soul food) and there was never a line at all. Mimosas came in a carafe. And midway thru, the guy brought a bottle of champagne to our table! Around 230 the Black Woman owner also came around and gave everyone shots. That was pretty cool, and kept everyone engaged. If you wanted to "dance" it was done in your seat. No people dancing on seats or anything lol Bathroom had 2 stalls, and was tight when you walk in Only hiccup was that it didn't seem like there was any air. Myself, guest and other tables were fanning ourselves down with napkins. Waiter said there is air but so many people in there... I had a great time!

We ordered the Maryland Rockfish, Herb-Crusted Salmon, and the Shrimp & Crab Imperial. Everything was delicious, with the Shrimp & Crab Imperial standing out as the highlight of the meal. What made the visit even better was the friendly, welcoming, and accommodating staff. The young man who greeted us was very courteous and ensured I received the window seat I requested, which set a positive tone right away. A special mention goes to Ari, who was knowledgeable, personable, and attentive throughout our visit. Ari's warm and engaging personality made us feel genuinely welcomed and well cared for. We enjoyed the experience so much that we will definitely be back. We were so eager to dig in that we forgot to take photos beforehand, which says a lot about how good everything looked and tasted. We were generously hosted here by friends for a birthday celebration! (Sep 2026). The bar and indoor seating felt dark and intimate, yet open enough for our semi-casual get-together. We chose a curved booth among the tables. There's outdoor seating in back, too. The beverage list is creative and fun. We loved the sweet smooth non-alcoholic Classic Espresso Martini. A bourbon-y tart bitter sweet Paper Plane, of bourbon, Aperol, Amaro Nonino Quintessential bitters, and lemon. And a dramatic balanced potent Wild Turkey 101 Smoked Manhattan, presented in a wooden chest full of richly aromatic smoke. We had a sweet non-alcoholic Peachy Keen, lightly smokey and lightly bitter peach, honey, and lemon, with orange bitters. At least five of the regular cocktails have non-alcoholic versions, and their Spirit-Free menu has six more. The appetizers and mains are so deliciously savory! Their Ploughman's Son charcuterie was varied and generous, with sturdy flavorful shaved jamon, a thin-sliced tangy salami, chunks of a dense orange medium-bold cheese, crisp grilled bread, and a deep maroon three-berry jam. We added a luscious pillow of buttery burrata. The vegan Mezze Platter had a spread of simple hummus and chickpeas with lightly roasted tahini dressing. Roasted Beet Salad was pieces of sweet clean red and gold beets with citrus chunks, lightly dressed with white balsamic. And a generous hot cast-iron pan of my Spirit-Vegetable: pork-bellied, sweet-salted sesame-vinaigrette-ed, sriracha-aioli-ed Crispy Brussels Sprouts! I aspire to be cultivated away from bitterness to sweetness, as Brussels sprouts were by Hans van Doorn in the '90s, "first" bacon-y spicy roasted by Momofuku's David Chang around 2004, and called "trendy" by 2012. (Let's see how trendy I am in 20 years :-) From the child's menu, we chose a lightly-mayo-ed grilled-cheese on lightly toasty light bread, with a tall cone of hot crispy, thin fries. We all dove into the fries, which were kindly shared :-). The Braised crumbled-Duck Bolognese was rich with Boursin cheese and parmesan, over long thin very-slurpable capellini-like black-pepper noodles, dressed with a little greenery. Crispy Rockfish was oven-roasted with fresh bright cherry tomatoes, under a light complementary miso beurre blanc. The half-rack of Smoked BBQ Ribs were tenderly grilled to a thin crust of Sagamore Old-Fashioned sauce, perfectly done with just a little bite remaining, the way I strive for at home, with a crunchy side of bright apple-fennel slaw. For the last here, I saved one of the Copper Shark Prime Cuts: Lamb Chops, with lightly-crisped fingerling potatoes, grilled broccolini, and a thin savory Housemade steak sauce. I have to tell you, the chef-recommendation of medium-rare doneness was right on. This was the most tender juicy sweet lamb I have ever tasted. Period. The cream-filled chocolate-sauced profiterole cream-puff with a candle was our birthday cake. The ice-cream espresso affogato was dreamy. The chefs are clearly caring, and dedicated to a delicious dining and drinking experience. The staff is welcoming and professional. We were well taken care of. Tucked into a cluster of shops, this restaurant is easy to find and has plenty of parking. I highly recommend The Copper Shark as something of a splurge destination for excellent dining and good service in an intimate semi-casual setting.
