The crabcakes were probably the best I've ever had, and I've had many. They were just seasoned so perfectly and with so much intention. Although they are small, they are perfect. The fried apples had a crunch, which I didn't expect, but were good. The potatoes tasted like they just sliced and fried them up. The apple cider was a must have! The milk was so fresh and creamy. My husband drank a half a cup straight and it didn't make his stomach hurt (impossible I know). The chicken and waffles were really good! We came in, were told to seat ourselves, and picked one.of the two free tables (it's popular in the morning, apparently). The waitress came over pretty quickly and gave us menus and took our drink order. I had a apple granola pancake plate with sausage links on the side and my partner had a French toast platter (with eggs, sausage, etc). Willy's Kitchen is a top 5 Maryland (Between DC and BMore) favorite. I live on the line with DC but I would get everyone in the car early one morning to eat Willy's! The service was great, friendly and very Southern! We got to Willy's around 10 am and sat down right away. Ms. Wendy was very nice and there was a younger woman helping out who was also very nice! The coffee was delicious. The food was amazing. There are some vegetarian options like a veggie omelette. I like that Willy's uses local farmers and vendors for the food they serve. I love that as a resident of Maryland but also because their food is fresh and you can taste that! There are crayons and color sheets for kiddos. And delicious cider if they like apple juice, the good kind! I also like that they have a lot of locals twists to traditional dishes. They also have some Maryland flavor on the menu. Items like crab dip, crab omelette etc. The French toast is made with Challah! It's details like that this make me know I can trust Willy's. You won't regret Willy's. Wow - I can see why this place is so busy. Was looking for a place to eat brunch on the way to BWI and decided to try it. Its got kind of a diner/small cafe type of vibe. It's a tiny place so they may take longer to accommodate parties of more than 2 (we had 4) but it was worth the wait. Had an omelette that was fantastic - all the ingredients are locally/farm sourced. Normally I'm not a big eater of toast with breakfast but the bread was so fantastic that I couldn't resist. Found this little spot on the way to the Baltimore ski warehouse. It's a very small spot, they do have outdoor seating though if you like that option. Everything is farm to table and local which is a hard find! It feels like home on the inside. We ordered the ribeye sandwich, crab dip, chicken and waffles and the crab soup. The ribeye was large and hard to eat but the chicken and waffles with the maple gravy was amazing! I highly recommend it. Loved the fresh bread that came with the crab dip as well. One thing I didn't like was that we weren't told the specials. I over heard them later in the night and would have loved to try them. Will need to come back for breakfast. read more

If you're driving by, it looks as if there's only a small parking area in the front but make sure you stop and turn in because parking stretches to the back! The place is a little smaller than I expected but the minute you walk in, you can smell how amazing the food is. My friend and I ordered a small crab dip to start with which was warm and came with small crackers, perfect because we chose to sit in the outdoor seating area and it was a little crisp. My friend ordered a TLT (turkey bacon, lettuce, and tomato) while I just had to get something with crab in it hence the Chesapeake Crab Melt pictured below. Absolutely delicious! My only wish is that we came before 11 because we really wanted to try some of their breakfast options but the lunch did not disappoint and made up for the fact that we both slept in. read more

After a long two year stint in Bahrain the Navy sent me to Baltimore to catch a rotator to my next duty in Naples. While I was waiting for my flight I wanted some high quality American breakfast. This little independent place for the bill. With outdoor and indoor seating, they were able to accommodate all guests safely considering covid guidelines. There was good table distances, hand sanitizer available, food was provided in take away containers, and all employees were masked up! Let's get to the food. Got some coffee, sweet tea, and water. The sweet tea and water came in big ol' cups and came with free refills. Coffee was amazing. Hubby got eggs, bacon, sausage, scrapple, and toast and I got the crab explosion omelet. He ate his in ten seconds so he loved it and my crab explosion omelet was AMAZING! It was FULL of huge chunks of crab meat and the cheddar on top was thick and delicious and really complimented the crab inside the omelet. The two types of crab in the omelet was also a nice addition and it added a lot of texture. Butter grits were fantastic, great for dipping the toast in. I even made a little crab omelet/grit bites with the amazing sourdough bread. Service was awesome, only one lady was working but she was killin it. If I lived in the area I would be a regular. One of my best finds in the last month! Soooo good. I got the chicken and waffles, which I was craving but did not expect to have my taste buds to go berserk like they did. They did an amazing job on their interpretation of the southern chicken and waffles dish. The chicken was so crispy and tender. The waffle was the perfect sweetness. And I do not know what they put into their gravy, but man I want a bowl of it. The service was okay, it was a busy morning and so it slowed down our sit town, order, and we didn't get our food till about 40 mins later. They were super nice and apologetic about the delay. They comped my chicken and waffles because of that. Their prices were amazing already so to be comped this, means they just get a larger tip. It is a small mom and pop shop and probably why it was so easy for them to do what they did. I really enjoyed this place and hope to find myself back there soon. We started eating and dividing the food before I remembers to take a picture. The restaurant is farm to table and everything is fresh and local sourced. There is a delay or wait but it's well worth it. The crab omelette was very good and full of crab. I even enjoyed the fresh rye bread. My friend had the sampler platter that was pancakes, French toast and sausage gravy over a biscuit with bacon and a sausage patty. The sausage was so tasty we thought of ordering extra and joked about making the drive back just for the patties.
