After an incomplete pool opening and first cleaning, I called the company to find out what is going on. I was told my gate was locked (I don't have a lock on the gate), that the pool equipment is too old (we replaced the filter 2 years ago), they couldn't see the bottom of the pool (that's the point of the first cleaning of the season), the pool chemistry was off (they are a pool company, their job is to get the chemistry right) and they don't know how to clean a gunite pool (What? What pool company does not know how to clean an inground gunite pool?) Stay away from this joke of a company. I would not hire them to fill the water in a kiddie pool. I should have read the earlier reviews about how rude the owner is and how poor their services are. The full story: 1. We scheduled a pool opening with a 1 week follow up to clean the pool. They never called to confirm the day they were coming. When I called them they said they would be there within a day to clean the pool. I reminded them they needed to open it first! Yet when the tech arrived he was surprised the pool was not open yet. 2. They did not open the pool properly. They never set the timer so the filter would be working. They did not install the return covers. They did not check that all the equipment was tight and not leaking!! 3. They never followed up to confirm the day they were cleaning the pool. And yet, I get a call asking if I wanted to have them clean all season. I said, you haven't cleaned the pool once yet. Oh, really, we'll be there in a few days. 4. When I realized they never installed the on/off clips to have the pump filter working, I installed them to get the pool filtration working. After a few days, I lost a significant amount of water from some fittings they did not tighten correctly. 5. When they get there to clean, they checked out the pool, saw the water was low, left a card saying they could not clean it and left. 6. Finally I call them to find out what is going on, after speaking with the ower I was told a series of ridiculous falsehoods. What a joke of a company.

We have an older pool that requires quite a bit of love to get it up and running, and Andy went above and beyond to get it in perfect shape in short order in advance of the Memorial Day holiday this year. Apparently he discovered the source in about 40 minutes or so and the total repair will end up around $350. Thank God there are still honest people out there unlike these guys. Previous Review: Mike and Andy showed up to repair my Hot Tub and apparently they spent about 20-25 minutes each diagnosing my hot tub and came to the conclusion that my pumps are bad, my heater is bad and I have numerous leaks. They parked their truck in my driveway at 10:39am and arrived to my hot tub at 10:43am. At 10:45am one person walked away from the tub and at 10:47am one of them urinated in my yard and then proceeded to walk to check out my yard for another minute or so. At 11:03am their truck was gone from my driveway and the $150 cash they convinced my wife to leave them because they couldn't come when she was home (we never indicated it was an emergency) was gone. I would have never known about this experience if my wife didn't arrive home at 11:15am (earlier than expected) and wonder why no one was here and the money was gone. Thank God we have surveillance cameras in place. These guys are liars, shady and thieves. I have no problem paying the $150 service call and any additional labor at $80 an hour to repair my tub, I do have a problem with someone ripping me off and telling me my top of the line Hot Springs Envoy that is 5 years old is basically shot. You don't have to believe me, but I have camera footage.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!…read more Bought a pool from Northampton Pools and Patio in late may with an install in the middle of June. We set up the install a couple months prior. They gave us a list of 4 subcontractors. One installer no longer installed the pools, one didn't return a call, one had a very negative review and low rating, which left us with a gentleman known named Matt. We went through over three weeks of no shows or doing little to no work. He showed up on the day of our install and said he couldn't do the work. He promised to return the next day. He never showed. He promised everyday to show and ended up showing the next Wednesday. He dropped off his trailer and bobcat, returned two hours later and dropped off a dump trailer. He took the trailer and bobcat and returned two days later. He'd promise to come out and never show occurred at least a dozen times. He finally showed up on Friday and did work but couldn't complete it due to missing parts. Northampton pools ordered the wrong parts initially. We were promised an over night delivery on the new parts. I went to the store a day and half later only to be told they weren't overnighted and were coming on Tuesday. Almost a week later we got the parts. It took 5 separate deliveries to get all our parts. Our first delivery we weee told to skids would show up and we only got one. We approached Greg the owner about a refund which he wouldn't honor. After several rounds of trying to get their help to assist with the installer, the one employee stated that are contractor does near perfect work but isn't all there upstairs. We ended up firing our installer a d losing half our install fee and found a new guy. He insisted the karts still were t right but managed to get our pool set up. It was the most frustrating and stressful experience I've ever encountered. Do yourself a favor and go with another pool company.

I called LESLIE's to open my 18 foot round above the ground pool. I found the gentlemen to be rushed and I didn't understand a lot of the explanations they gave me regarding my filter, etc. That being said, I called them again in September to close my pool. Again, the service was rushed, and the cover was not put on the pool correctly, and continued to come off the pool during the winter with wind. I call again in March 2025 to open my pool. They said they were booked. They couldn't give me a date and they would call back. I called two subsequent times and spent 45 minutes on the phone, to which they still could not give me a date and said they would call me back. They never called me back and my husband found a different service... while sitting on my front porch today, May 26, 2025, Memorial Day, the LESLIE truck rolls up to my home... two men got out ready to open pool, and I said I had no idea you were coming today, nobody called me back, and I contracted with a different company. Why would LESLIE send a truck out to open a pool on a holiday? Sorry., the driver told me, he said this has happened all day to him and he has heard the same comments from everyone saying they had no idea they were going to show up today and that the home office never called anybody back.... For a service that is $300 each to open or close your pool, they should have better communication.... I will no longer use LESLIE's for my swimming pool services and they have lost my business. I am too busy of a person to spend 45 minutes calling them three times. Clearly they have so much business they don't need mine...

Mike was fantastic and our installer (also named Mike) was great. Bill came out to check our install once the pool install was complete and show us how to work everything and he was great. I only experienced a few negatives; 1-I was lead to believe when Mike sold me the pool that it would take 1 day to install. Not true. The pool took 3 weeks to install, from the time it was delivered to our home, to the time we could swim in it. Granted some of that was due to the weather, but it also had to do with Mike our installer being over scheduled (my opinion). But Mike kept communication open, he was easy to get in touch with and in the end we have a great pool. 2-Owner Mike ordered us the correct liner, but the manufacturer sent us the wrong liner. Mike corrected the situation by giving us $$ off the liner. So I would recommend American Pool. They have a great store, great pool supplies and Bill the water guy is very helpful. We are hoping to win a free hot tub with the contest they are running right now! Lol, Mike I will be in touch! Thanks again:). Becky A.

Google the address & you'll see its actually a residential address. We hired them in April 2013 to install a pool we've been saving for. They came to our home so we can go over the terms & select a pool. We explained to them it was important to have it all operational by July 4th for my wife's birthday bbq & they said it would all take 2 weeks to complete. A big concern of ours was whether our existing fence was of legal code. Due to the size of my lot it would be a big added expense to replace it & may cause the project to wait. The father tells us the fence is fine. We gave the go ahead along with a deposit to get the permits. No word from them for 2 weeks & the father shows up at my door saying he has the permits but unfortunately my fence is not of code height. The father tells us he can install a new pvc fence for us. We would just need to purchase the fence & cut out all the old fencing. It was a good offer so we cut out & disposed of 275 feet of perfectly fine fencing. The father disappears & we are forced to hire a fence company to install the new fence. We went with the cheapest estimate & dipped into our savings for $7500. Again they disappeared for 2 weeks & showed up on Mothers day to start the digging ruining our plans for the day. We paid $5000 for the hole & again they disappeared. This went on til August when the pool was finally complete. No July 4th birthday bbq & the summer was almost over but we were happy it was over. They included the closing for free that year as well as the opening the following year & after that we would find another company to use. The pool was opened in May 2014 & it was a disaster. The whole floor was floating like a water bed, it was unusable. He told us the water trapped under the liner would go down. Yes it does & after a week of waiting it did but leaving horrible wrinkles & flaps all over the floor. John laid blame on the drainage of my patio. My patio is higher then my pool because they installed it that way. My yard was once perfectly flat but after their installation my pool sits too close & too low to the patio. After having pool companies come out we were told the pool shouldn't have been installed that low without a french drain. To correct the issue a french drain would need to be installed along with a new liner. Estimates were at around $5000. After explaining this all to John we came to an agreement. He would dig up my yard again to install the drain & replace the liner as long as i paid $1000 towards the work. We agreed because it was the cheapest way for us. So again they dug up & wrecked our yard. Final cost of that was $1000 for John, $500 to refill the pool & an additional $300 for soil & seed plus the water bill for growing the grass back. So almost $2000 from us but we were happy thinking our issue was corrected. Unfortunately it wasnt & the next big rain storm left us with water under the liner again & a brand new liner now had wrinkles. Again John was contacted but failed to care enough so we closed the pool for the season prepared to just deal with the few wrinkles as opposed to dealing with John & Stanley again. Fast forward to pool season 2016 when we opened the pool at the beginning of the season to find more horrible water build up under the liner which is now stretched out beyond repair leaving more wrinkles. We sent John a text telling him the liner had broken free from the top clips & asking him to come clip it up properly since he installed it. He responded asking if there were any wrinkles. My wife responded yes but thats not my main issue right now & she would like him to clip the liner back up before water gets behind it but he never responded back. We sent another text months later expressing our disgust in them & how they took $30,000 from us & left us with a horror we couldnt be proud to own. John responded that we should hire an engineer. Other pool companies told us the issue is the position of how the pool was set too low & the french drain wasnt installed deep enough & failed to go around the whole pool, it was installed only around 2 of the 4 sides. Now here we are once again wishing we never hired them. Do yourself a favor when pool shopping, go by word of mouth & look up all reviews. Dont pick your installer by price alone. Sometimes the price is cheaper cause certain necessities such as a french drain may be left out. We realize now looking back on our pool estimates why the other companies were a few thousand more, cause they were including the French drain. Meanwhile our installer didnt even make us aware that was an option.
