I received a bread knife as a gift, but I already had the exact same knife. I returned it to the store in hopes of exchanging it for something else. I was told I could get a gift card instead. The associate promised me that the person who gave me the gift would not be notified that I had returned the gift. And then they proceeded to mail my gift card directly to the person who gave me the gift. I called weeks later to check on the status and they told me what had happened. They then promised to send the gift card to my house as they had first promised. The card never showed up. I have called several times to follow up and the calls put me on hold - and then hang up. I'm beginning to think that I may be out the $165 I am owed by this company. It's sad. I used to really like them. 10 months after purchasing plates and bowls from Williams Sonoma and they have aged like milk. Stained and scraped. Why Williams Sonoma would sell such cheap poor quality flatware baffles my mind. This store has an excellent staff! Called to check if they had an item in stock, they said they did but they were closing in less than 30 min. So I rushed to get there with less than 10 min till closing! Not only was I ashamed to walk in knowing they were closing soon, but I was in a huge hurry because the only parking I was able to find was 3 min parking!! The staff was not only extremely kind and patient with my rushing, but they were so kind and gracious to include tissue paper and ribbon, since I was purchasing a gift. I was impressed with their service attention to detail!! Overall this location is great! But plan ahead parking can be really difficult. And always make sure you pay your meter or you will come back to a ticket on your windshield! read more

I placed my order yesterday 11/20/2023 at this store for pick up. I bought a Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro. When I got home excited to open and install my air fryer, I noticed that the accessories where not wrapped and packed well. There are all over the place and no protection whatsoever around the actual air fryer(see pictures). Fingerprints everywhere and some food stains as well. So basically I was given a used air fryer. That's very disgusting and disappointing to sell a used item, I paid $352.74. I will be demanding a new one. I drove 15 miles to this store and going back home was another 15 miles. That's very disappointing. Now I have to drive another 30 miles tomorrow for a replacement that should be new. read more

Great store! It's small but great to say the least. Each time I'm on Lake shopping or having dinner or drinks I try to stop by here and browse their items and most of the time I can't leave without purchasing something. I like everything about this place except how overcrowded it can become which makes navigating in such a small space quite difficult at times without bumping into someone or something and worrying about knocking an item off of one of their many shelves. Other than that this place is a must shop at and with the great eateries right outside their door, you must at least stop in and grab something like I do each and every time I am in the area. I like your store and your staff in which will keep me coming back time and time again. read more

Came by with my mom to pick up some baking pans and bowls, the sales associates was super nice and friendly, she went to the back room to get more bowls for my mom to choose from. Customer service: great, we were checked in with us a few time to make sure we are okay Price: they are know to be pricier, but its all well worth it, and when its on sale, even better! Parking: there is street parking and the structure, but they dont validate, which is slightly a bit annoying. He lead me to the product display but he wasn't sure if they had any more in stock. Overall, the store staff here is a bit unhelpful and tend to offer follow up that does not happen... Used to love the BH location - that's currently gone. So is the one in Sherman Oaks... and Calabassas ... so clearly the brand has taken a hit. Over saturation perhaps - but my guess is over-pricing for product not warranting the price tag (a bag of jellybeans with what is essentially a large handful serving ? 14.99. And they were relatively flavorless...) The Williams-Sonoma brand has slipped since it's heyday 20 years ago - it shows not only in the lack of caring service at this location, but in the lack of product availability, lack of quality in some products they carry, and over pricing when you can get better quality at less "lofty" brands. Besides hardly ever answering their phone at this location, you will be asked to "hold one moment" and be on hold for upwards of 15 minutes and even then be put back on hold. The answer to if they followed thru on a conversation a week earlier is often either "I'm not sure, let me look into that ..." followed by a 10 minute hold or "I have to check on that..." which eventually leads back to a store manager who makes it clear in her tone she has neither the time nor bandwidth. Times are stressful - even more reason why one would hope a business that bears the Pineapple as it's logo (the traditional symbol of "Welcome")... ... to feel welcoming to those bringing in business, rather than inconvenienced. read more

Do you need Kitchen motors and gadgets? If you want a more personal, homey environments definitely come here. I LOVE WILLIAMS-SONOMA! It's smaller than Sur La Table (the other large competitor) and W-S feels like there are always helpful cookery elves who are very knowledgeable and willing to get you through your questions here. Williams Sonoma got me into some good pots about a coupla years ago.... the French stuff, Ouioui, Le Creuset--works really well for low and slow. They now have cheaper options here at the store. This time, I got some All Clad with stainless steel inside for high temp cooking. After a good survey of the market with my fave W-S person I opted for this brand and style. The Williams Sonoma brand is also now in stainless. Beaucoup choices here. Almost everyone knows what the deal is with every spoon, mutant Nespresso kitchen motor, butcher block, wine glass, fork, confectionery, pizza stone, wok, tablecloth, molcajete that fits your kitchen/ cooking purposes. You get what you pay for. Prices here are on the higher end but; honestly, the gadgets you buy here are super useful, sturdy like a Volvo and tried and true brands. What I love the most is their customer service though. If you look lost, someone comes over. Then if you decide to get something here, the warranties are superior. They also gift wrap in front of you. Very cool. Finally if they don't have the merchandise, they will order it and deliver it if you want. Service in store is good. But their products are ok depending on what your getting. We had an issue with a citrus juicer and after 90 days there's nothing they would consider doing. Ok that's fine, but the store associate was like "meh-we don't do that". So this is in response to an overpriced mediocre citrus juicer. Look elsewhere people! Not worth the price and certainly not worth the lamé companies that think brand is soooo important. No, quality is way more important. I was very disappointed with the customer service department. I had received the 3 piece canister set as a Christmas gift last year . Recently one of the tops slipped out of my hands and cracked into many pieces. I tried to replace , but to no avail. They were unable to replace top, nor were they able to let me purchase a single canister. I would have to purchase the whole entire 3 piece set , even though I only needed a top. I was very upset, and thought when you deal with top notch stores , "customer service", would actually be customer service. They were unable to think outside the box, and help rectify a solution. Never have I been treated so rudely in a store as I was today in the Pasadena Williams-Sonoma store. I have been a customer of the Pottery Barn family of stores for over 20 years. I have purchased furniture, linens, decor, etc. from Pottery Barn, as well as cookware and other kitchen items from Williams-Sonoma for myself and as gifts for others. Normally, the women who work at that store are very kind, however, today the gentleman I spoke with at the counter was condescending, disrespectful and rude - so much so, that I will never set foot in that store again. I haven't been to a Williams-Sonoma in ages but we purchase their mulling spices for the Christmas season and nightly have a pot slowly simmering releasing the aroma in our home. It's so pleasant and the mulling spices from Williams-Sonoma are really the best for that. We bought a whole bunch of jars several years back when they were on sale, but were getting low so while running errands, my daughter and I stopped by this location in Pasadena. Parking is tricky around this area of Lake Avenue and as we needed to get home, I just opted to park behind the complex via the alleyway. I think it's $1 for every 20 minutes. We parked, walked through the cutesy courtyard that has a few restaurants and just some general sitting areas and headed into the store. The store is smaller than other Williams-Sonoma stores I've visited but packed with product everywhere you look. They make good use of their space! The store is divided into 2 rooms. The front room facing Lake Avenue which has a lot of the small appliances and cookware and the back room which is where the cashiers are and a lot of the food products. I only went in for the mulling spices but also left with a tin of the classic hot chocolate for some of the cooler nights we have while relaxing by the fire. The hot chocolate is really good! Service when I went was excellent which, based on other reviews, seems to be hit or miss, but I felt both of the ladies who I spoke with were very kind, helpful and professional. Nearly like I was in a high end store. I think this company has had a lot of store closures during these online retail wars, however I hope this location remains open. I was in desperate need for a new toaster, I had experienced a unfortunate cleaning lady mishap... Apparently, while cleaning the counter tops bread packages were moved on top of the toaster and while wiping down & buffing the granite the toaster was turned on. Suffice it to say, my bread packages melted over the 5 year old toaster. Grrrr ... (kitchen aid industrial collection) I decided to only browse for a new toaster, basically a reconnaissance mission. I recounted the events and she brought me to the back of the showroom and showed me the ALL CLAD and another Superior unit. I thanked her and said that I was barely beginning my search and that I was on my way to Crate & Barrel and Sur La Table. Then to Macy's since I had seen a sale in the cellar. She understood & asked what kind I was considering, I had said it was only a KITCHEN AID ARCHITECT COLLECTION that needed replacement. She then, excused herself & went to the back & later returned with a kitchen AID box that had apparently been marked down in Clearance. So I purchased my new kitchen aid toaster. I am extremely excited & satisfied with my random William Sonoma experience. THEY ARE AMAZINGLY ATTENTIVE AND EMPATHETIC TO SITUATIONS WE EXPERIENCE IN OUR DAILY LIVES AND SEEK TO BETTER THEM. plus I picked up a citrus press. They do not keep the hours posted. I made a special trip, noted the hours on the door and noted that the staff were inside, closing up and the doors locked. I was furious. I do love the WS brand, feel sad that there are so few stores open any more, and was willing to drive to Pasadena for a much needed item. I love finding a good bargain, have enjoyed help from the staff at this store, and I like the layout even though it is not the traditional space - it has a funky feel and I enjoy the way it is organized. I came here yesterday to get some christmas gifts for my significant other. I encountered a few issues. First, there was a pricing discrepancy on one of my items. There was a sign posted in the store with one price and when I got to checkout the price was higher. Second, for some reason my bank kept declining the transactions on suspicion of fraud. Twice I waited in line and called my bank to clear up the confusion but ultimately had to leave the store, go to the ATM and come back. When I finally go to the front of the line the third time I explained the issues with the manager, I think her name was Nash, and she gave me an EXCELLENT discount for my trouble. Don't bother doing curbside pickup here. One employee will tell you to park at soul cycle, and another employee will yell at you for parking at soul cycle. It's really confusing and I wasted half an hour of my time doing curbside pickup because of their poor directions. It wasn't my fault for following one employees orders and then getting yelled at for doing exactly what they asked. I don't really care for supporting this particular location anymore and will order elsewhere or online. I cannot reward bad behavior especially after getting treated so poorly. read more

This particular Williams-Sonoma is awesome. I just took a free knife skills class (pictured) and it was extremely helpful - and they even gave me a 10% discount on a new chef's knife afterword. I've been coming to this location for a while and its staff are incredibly helpful without being overbearing. They all know virtually everything about any product you pull off a shelf, and they ask you questions about your experience, budget, and kitchen at home before they recommend anything so you never feel like you're talking to a car salesman. I've noticed some reviews are talking about the price of Williams-Sonoma products. Not that there's no merit to that, but that's like giving an Apple store a 1-Star review because they don't sell cheap chromebooks. If you're coming here, you come knowing you'll be paying more - but you're also getting your money's worth. No, your pots and pans won't be $20 apiece here, but you also won't have to replace them every 5 years. For some things, the extra upfront cost is worth it. That said, I'd recommend a more affordable shop for more "disposable" items like wooden spoons or spatulas. Can't rave enough about this location. Check it out. read more

Very slow customer service. Went inside the store and wasn't greeted or helped until I said something and I was waiting in line too, so they could clearly see me. Three people came after my arrival and were helped before me because they went up to the employees as I stood there waiting for my turn. Sure it might have been something quick, but so was mine. They did have an interesting selection and the place seemed more cozy and cute than the mall locations I've been to. Either way, I probably won't be back to this location. This review is specific to our recent store visit early afternoon on Saturday, January 2nd To Williams Sonoma Pasadena (Lake) My wife was looking for "Robby's pancakes" and was directed to the shelf. Immediately she noticed that the expiration date showed 2014. She looked for other boxes and found that they were all expired. She walked to the clerk and informed her. The clerk said okay and basically dismissed my wife. My wife continued to walk around the store for good 30 minutes and realized that no one did anything with the expired products on the shelf. My wife was shocked as she left the store. 1) How can they keep such LONG expired items on the shelf. How can that be overlooked 2) Why didn't the clerk remove the items immediately? 3) How come we were not thanked or anything to bring this to their attention? I went to the store today to do a curbside pickup. It said both on their website and Google that they were open at 9, so I went in not thinking anything of it. The person at the front of the store was incredibly rude to me and assumed I worked at the store. When I said I was a customer wanting to do a pickup, she openly talked bad about me "wandering" into the store to her coworkers. As if I can't hear her or something. The manager helping me said they don't open until 10, and I said that both Google and their website say 9 AM. She helped me anyway and got my curbside order, which was nice. Overall, it was a really horrible experience because of the workers talking trash about me mistakenly coming into the store. I recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

Awful customer service! I had a coffee maker that was under preforming it was only 1 year old.. I called to have it exchanged for one that would work properly.. the management said I had 30 days to return or exchange... WHAT!?!? They said contact Cuisinart directly we have nothing to do with it after 30 days.. so now I have a 150$ broken coffee maker.. I would think they would want to keep a happy customer with company closing due to online shipping on Amazon.. but no they wanna get the money and be free of any complaints after 30 days..(talk to the manufacturers) I will never buy another item from William Sonoma agin and buyers beware of the 30 day policy! I have patronized this WS store dozens of times since its opening. My experience has been consistently positive. All but one staff member were friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. I am especially impressed with the manager, the lovely woman of Asian descent whose name I do not recall. She delivers exceptional service. The only suggestion I have is to ensure that the hours of operation on the store website are accurate. I too once went to the store and found that it did not open at the stated hours.
