This is my favorite Williams-Sonoma. Besides just being large, the people who work here are very attentive and helpful. They've always been willing to help research or find something specific we're looking for. Their table displays alone are well done that even if you don't buy anything, you're inspired to do something similar. On busy weekends or holiday's, they'll often have food samples, and the last time I was there, they had fresh Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies available for a $5 donation to help feed hungry kids. read more

I remember when Williams-Sonoma was across the street with top notch service and was fun to shop at. This location is huge, seems to go on forever. Displays were a mess with things strewn about like a TJ Max. There were so many employees here and they're asking if you need help every 15 seconds. When I said yes to one of them you could tell they never expected to actually help anyone. They should train their employees to be helpful and not try to meet quotas. The store was empty too on a Saturday so you really don't need an employee every 2 feet. I have a stainless steel All-Clad set I bought at WS about 20 years ago and it was a great purchase. The one non stick sauté pan I need to replace every few years. The displays were just half assed thrown on the shelves with most scratched or damaged. The lady would keep interrupting me and didn't care I wanted All Clad or listen to what I was saying. Her only interest was showing me the most expensive pan they have. I didn't need a $300 sauté pan. After getting frustrated I told her to forget it and bought one online. I was going to storm out but the huge display of cocktail mixers stopped me in my tracks. I bought couple of low calorie mixers and they were fantastic, especially the Williams-Sonoma brand. I highly recommend the low calorie pineapple ginger margarita mix! Beautiful store, interesting service... I love coming into Williams-Sonoma for the cozy, sweet environment. This location is very well-kept, always clean, and well-presented, however, the service unfortunately struggles to keep up. I've never given them a reason to act stressed, annoyed, or upset, but if you experienced their behavior, you'd think so! I will give grace and say that there are a few very kind associates, though! But, I come here quite often with my parents, and I hardly walk out of this store happy with my time :( Consistently approached with passive aggressive attitudes and annoyance, it has honestly just become tiring and sad. It was Black Friday and I needed to get some shopping done. I am proud to say that I was able to scratch one name off the my xmas list when I got a good deal on an item. If you are a smart shopper, you can find good pricing on super fancy cookware. And that is exactly what I found online. Then it was ready for pick within 2 hours. Shopping is definitely a lot easier than back in the day. I went into the store to pick up my order and enjoyed perusing through the entire store. There is definitely a tool for all your cooking requirements here! I am a huge fan of Nordic ware and they carry many different designs of pans. Super cute holiday themed pans and loaf. I Do own about 10+++ bundt pans and loaf pans, minis too. You could get hooked pretty quickly. Service was good. For pick up, go all the way to the back room and someone can assist you there. I had a very disappointing experience at this location around Mother's Day. One of the associates (Dorsey) ignored my requests for help finding an item and then told me "you can order it online" when I asked for assistance placing an order. I usually like to order in store when someone helps me, to make sure the location gets a sale/credit for it - but Dorsey made it almost impossible to do so. When I entered the store, she was standing near the front, not assisting anyone else at the time (so I was shocked by her response). After a few minutes, Chef Joffrey approached us and had to tell Dorsey that she could place the order on my behalf before she would help. At this point I was preparing to leave because she kept saying I should order it at home - but when I said I would do that, Chef Joffrey started telling me the store wouldn't get credit for the order and began to guilt me, implying that a lack of in-store orders/purchases may contribute to closure of this location! I couldn't believe he'd say that, given how I'd needed to ask the other associate 5+ times if she was capable of placing an order in-store. I did order with them because of the guilt trip and went home feeling awful about the entire interaction. I later called and cancelled the order that same day, and purchased the gift elsewhere. Honestly, seeing how this location has changed in the last few years also saddens me. Everyone used to be so friendly and helpful here, and my husband and I registered here for our wedding registry because of those positive experiences. One of your employees (older Caucasian lady) was going around asking customers if they were finding everything okay, but she skipped over us entirely. I guess you have to "look a certain way" or be a "certain race" to receive assistance. But it broke and I was wondering if I could get a replacement. i have bought many potato peelers in my day but never one that broke within a few months. I thought leaving a 1 star review after my experience here was a bit much but then I saw the other reviews and knew that I wasn't alone on my encounter. You go inside and not even after a minute or 2 you are greeted in a way that isn't meant to be friendly but that makes you feel like you are attempting to steal. And then again a few more times while shopping you keep getting asked but in a passive aggressive way. And then there are 2 ladies and a man just yelling across the store consistently which is so unprofessional. "Take your break" "I already took one" and so on throughout our entire shopping there. Well, it turned out that this store is not so great. A manager made a mistake on my order. I knew when she was doing the order, she was not paying too much attention. I have been waiting almost 10 weeks for my order (4 chairs) I went into my account and the order IS NOT listed but instead there is an order for bowls....??? I never bought bowls so somehow she made an error. I am so upset. The store is closed and tomorrow is Easter. This is for Williams Sonoma Inc. re: Pottery Barn Home We purchased this couch for $4,200 on 8/28/2024, and since it was custom made, we received it 10/3/2024. When we first received it, it was stunning to say the least. Since we have 3 older kids and knew this would be used, we chose a "finer" fabric that was supposed to be washable, livable, and cozy. It was an "upgrade" fabric. We first started noticing the piling approximately 2 weeks after we received it. The piling is so uncomfortable now, it feels like you are sitting on pebbles, and we have since put sheets on it so we can sit on it for comfort. I reached out to Pottery Barn January 10th in person at the store. I was actually going back to look at their showroom couches to see if there was piling on their floor models that we may have missed and should have seen. They put in a complaint for me thus sending me a 3.5 inch "fuzz shaver" for my 120 inch couch that had piling all over it on every cushion. I told her that I had never had piling on a couch before, and with all of the selection of couches on the market, my husband and I chose Pottery Barn because of their quality. I have reached out numerous times after getting my "shaver", and no one is returning my calls or emails. I did not want to leave this review. I am only looking for either my money back or a different fabric cover on these cushions. Have since filed a compliant with the BBB. They have a C+ score. I shouldn't be surprised. Take your money elsewhere. I have reached out almost daily with no one reaching back out or no leads as to whom to I could reach. Shame on you Pottery Barn. read more

This is the closet store to us. Every time I come to shop her it has been a great experience. I have shopped with intention when looking for a specific item and also come here to shop just because. I have also shopped online with pick up option when I am in a hurry. If ypu do that i highly recommend go thrpugh each item to ensure it is not damaged in order to avoid an additional trip. Wish I could give zero stars. I loved coming here to look around and see what else I can add to my kitchen. I've purchased several items throughout the years online and at various WS stores but this is the one I just can't step foot in anymore. I went in to buy a le creuset 1.5qt braiser back in July and I had to almost chase down a salesperson. Meanwhile, other guests are the ones being chased down to be helped. Once I got the saleswoman attention she seemed "surprised" I was making a purchase. I was in a hurry and already there, so I decided to let her attitude slide. But here is where it really went downhill. About a month ago, I went in looking to upgrade my Breville to a Jura, not a simple decision! We went in and stood around the coffee machine area waiting to be helped for about 5 mins, just talking about the different specs of the machine. When we were finally asked if we needed help, I said yes and stated we were deciding between the Jura Z10 and S8 soon and asked for a demo. The lady rudely told us that if we wanted to try free samples we could just head into the middle of the store. I was confused bc I clearly mentioned I we were looking into purchasing a Jura soon and restated that we don't want free samples, we just want to try the Jura Z10 or S8 since the Z10 makes cold brew and the S8 doesn't. If swayed, I was ready to purchase a machine then and there. The rude lady said she'd go get someone to assist us and instead brought someone to make things worse! The next lady she brought over smugly asked how she could help, we told her again (3rd time stating what we're there for), and she doubled down that if we wanted free water, lemonade, or samples, we could head to the middle of the store. She also added that these machines are "complicated" and can't be used just like that and left us there hanging. ??? Complicated??? They're literally superautomatics!! With the press of a button, you have coffee in less than a minute! I understand not knowing the product or whatever, but bringing over the coffee machine salesperson to tell me to go get water or a lemonade instead or showing me the jura?? Clearly discrimination as we are people of color. I have seen multiple salespeople demoing the Juras many times, somehow when I want a demo they are "complicated" and I should go try water or whatever free samples they have at the moment? I ended up contacting Jura directly and they answered my questions and I purchased directly from them (a Z10 btw!). Even when picking up orders, the nasty attitudes are incredibly off putting. I really tried to ignore the fact that when I went in there some type of people got great service meanwhile I didn't, but at this point we'll just avoid this location for good. read more

It has been an on going case to get my money back and William Sonoma has been fighting me at every turn, and customer service has not been able to help me. My mom and I were in today and we were asking a lady about the colorful mixing bowl set. She was behind the counter around 2:55pm and she kept saying how "those are the only ones they had." We told her about the colorful ones from a bake shop because when baking I need different colors to help my extremely poor vision. She then said she would call the storage as my mom and I looked some more at the different scents of candles, sprays and such. We had been looking for a good six to eight minutes and we heard nothing back from the very rude lady or from storage. It wasn't as if we were in the back or front we were in the same proximity as she was. This isn't the first time we've been treated poorly. However this time was the last. It wasn't busy. The other lady was busy, but the one who we dealt with was not. Every time we go in to the South Coast Plaza it's as if we a scum or we're going to steal. Even though the William Sonoma in Crystal Cove is smaller we are NEVER treated poorly. Even if they are busy during the Holiday season or just a slow weekday we are always greeted with warmth and kindness. I hope that your employees take a lesson in what true costumer service is. today I went to William Sonoma on south coast plaza to return some thing. My receipt was cut off in the picture I had. The store clerk who was an old blond lady with accent was very rude and unprofessional Instead of politely explaining she started that the reason is some of their store workers buy stuff with discount and give them to their friend to return. My receipt showed exactly how much was paid. I calmly told her this is insulting she got aggressive and called her coworker and said this lady is rude to me. the other blond matured lady named Cindy Jenkinson who was manager instead of apologizing for her coworker's attitude told her you go and turned to me and with angry voice defend her. I wondered how unprofessional those worker are. With being older they should know. In fact she insulted her colleagues buying with discount and selling. Is she not trained to respect her company. No wonder she is not trained because her manager lacks common sense to take her aside and tell her not to be rude. Very upset with my experience here. I am 8 months pregnant and I saw that they had fresh baked cookies which looked like they were giving out. I asked about them and the employee said I can get one if I donate $5 to St Jude. I was happy to do so, then she said I couldn't because they only took cash. Again, I was happy to do so, but she didn't give me that option. She just made some weird excuse that I couldn't even understand. I was looking at pie crust mix, and I picked up a box. I took it to that same employee and the mix got all over my navy dress because the box had a little hole or something. Not once did she offer to grab me napkins or water to clean my dress, she never offered anything to help or compensate for my dress getting ruined by their defectively boxed product. Hi, I a fan of WS for many years. I decided to purchase their Parmigiano-Reggiano QTY: 1 $69.95 It arrived in a small cardboard box, sealed with clear moving tape, in 90 degree weather.. no PERSHABLE LABEL, no COLD FOOD shipping paper NOTHING.. just the 86.00 after shipping fee and taxes cheese wrapped in its own plastic wrap. Upon opening the box the cheese was HOT.. HOT, so I called WS, and they didnt know why it arrived this way, but customer service said it needs no refrigeration..WHAT.. not my question and of course this cheese can be out room temp, but it came HOT, they did give me a refund.. but beware of shipping methods because I had to compost the expensive cheese, which was so disappointing. read more

My coworkers gave me a $200.00 gift card from William Sonoma last March. I was very busy and waited until August to use it. When I went to the register it said 0 balance. I paid with my card. I then called customer service to request some information on how to start an investigation. They confirmed that the card was bought and filled with $200.00, but according to them it was used on June 9th. I asked them if they can check the location where it was used and the video. To my surprise the agent said "I will take note of everything you say to see if they will do something". I asked again if they can check and find the thief, and once more I told that it depended on the customer service agent that would read the report on Monday. I've been calling and all they do is transfer me from person to person just to get no concrete answers about who used my card. The most outrageous question was "Did you keep your card secured or in the safe?". The card was not even scratched in the back nor used or taken out of the envelope in which I received it! I thought that William Sonoma was a respectable company, but so far I' am very disappointed by the lack of customer service they have. read more

Look, I used to work in retail. I know how loss prevention works. However, I didn't think my husband and I did anything to warrant the suspicion we received at this store. If the woman I'm speaking of wasn't profiling us based on race, then she was definitely profiling us based on socioeconomic status. She practically chased my husband down to grab an item we wanted to buy. She said, "oh let me see if this is a display." (It was clearly not a display because it had tissue paper protecting the lid) and then completely took the item out of my husband's hands and placed it on her counters like we were going to make off with an item than cost less than $40. She said, "I'm going to place this right here." Lady, you weren't slick. Maybe these behaviors were unintentional as micro aggressions generally are, but the impact is the same. The impact is that we did not feel comfortable shopping there after this experience. We left feeling less than human. If this behavior is unintentional then maybe be more mindful of how you approach people of color, or people not dressed to the 10s because you don't know what people are going through. We were dressed terribly because I am having a hard time with my depression. Maybe if we showed up in our scrubs, we would have been treated differently. read more

We visited the store on June 8th, 2024 to get an exchange of the filter for our Jura ENA 8 coffer maker. The short filter has been replaced with the long one and we tried to get an exchange. The male salesperson rudely told us that the the package was open and it could not be exchanged. Also he told us the short filter was still usable as long as the water level in the water tank submerged the filter. I was very much surprised by the statement. I questioned the statement by saying I thought the filter had to have contact with the bottom of the water tank in order to filter the water. He loudly denounced that by saying it would work fine if the water level was high and the filter was submerged. His tone was so loud and dismissive. I noticed many other customers turned to look at us and I felt very much embarrassed. We agreed to purchase new filters anyways. While my wife went to talk to Patricia to inquire about other products, I went over to look at the ENA8 coffee maker again. Even though I do not have an engineering background, I am working as a research scientist in a medical products company. It seems to be very obvious that the filter has to make contact with the inlet to the system in order to have filtered water to go inside the machine. Emily, the store manager, saw me investigating the machine and she came over to ask whether I had any questions. She confirmed that the short filter would not work anymore since it could not reach the bottom of the water tank and she agreed to exchange the short filter with a long one. Because of Patricia and Emily, our our trip to the store became pleasant and enjoyable again. We recovered from the embarrassment by the obnoxious male salesperson. We did feel relieved but could not stop thinking the embarrassment the male salesperson brought to the Williams Sonoma for being so ignorant about the products the store carries. He embarrassed himself for being so ignorant and he showed with his behavior for being unfit to work for a great company, the Williams Sonoma. I bought a set of pots and didn't realize that they had given me the wrong ones so I had to go back to exchange them for the ones I actually bought. The incompetence at this place is beyond belief. I went in to do a simple exchange for a sauté pan. The manger Cindy processed the exchange as a gift card , which would be shipped to my home, within 2 weeks. But she told me to wait for an email shortly after 2 hours I decided to call customer service and they explained to me the reason why I have not received an email or would receive an email but a physical card in the mail. When I called the store to complain the manger Cindy did not take any responsibility for her incompetence and dismissed my concerns. So now I have to wait up to 2 weeks for a physical card and then drive 34 miles across the orange curtain and drive 34 miles back home. Or wait another week to have the item shipped to my home. And all Cindy could tell me is "Sorry". WTF? read more
