I feel literally honored to have her as my eye doctor. If you have to wait a little longer for your appointment just consider that she is going to take the same amount of extra time with you when it's your turn rather than rush you to the pay window so that she can hurry in the next feed, or to say, "Be careful what you wish for; you may get it," in which case you might want to look for a less conscientious doctor. I waited in the room for another 10 to 15 minutes with no one coming in to greet me or communicate the wait. She doesn't explain anything at all. She expects me to know everything. What's the purpose of even trying to go to a doctor if they don't even help. When you're paying your hard earned money to get medical care and your time and everything is being wasted. I had an anatomy scan done and have yet to get the results. The front office is very rude. The "office manager" screams and spazzes out for no apparent reason when you're speaking to the front desk ladies. That's not it. I had a FMLA document sent to them and it's been nearly two weeks and no call or anything. I asked for a few weeks off prior to my delivery due to pelvic pain, swollen feet, shortness of breath, due to me talking on the phone all day. I called regarding this and no treatment has been provided and nonetheless Dr. Maradani refused to even speak to me regarding the documents. She kept saying I've been working for over 22 years older than you and I only am approving 8 weeks. When I asked for a few weeks prior and my job allows 6 weeks paid for bonding. She says talk to your job that has nothing to do with me. This office is not good. Unless you're just going to sit down, shut up, do your own plethora of research, accept rude/disrespectful comments and don't ask questions. Then, this is the office for you. However, I refuse to accept this type of behavior from an Obgyn provider and office staff. Young because the doctor I usually see was not available that day. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Young was very disappointing. I had read mixed reviews before, but this was my first firsthand experience with him. Dr. Young refused to treat me, stating that he did not know me and that I should follow up with my regular doctor instead. During the visit, he made comments that I found unprofessional and discouraging, including saying that my eye was "dead" and that no treatment would change that. I have been treated by other retina specialists for the same eye in equal or worse condition, and none of them ever refused care or used language like this. What made the situation more frustrating is that I was still experiencing sharp pain, yet I was advised to wait three months to see my regular doctor instead of receiving any immediate help or guidance. Given the pain I was in and the nature of the comments made, I left feeling dismissed and unsupported. This experience did not meet the level of care or professionalism I expected from a retina specialist.
