Dr. Sarita Maradani has been my OBGYN since 2010 - I could not have found a better caring, compassionate and knowledgable professional if I had tried. I love her honesty, she will lay it down frankly and you must listen because she stays on top of her teachings on all aspects. I even have my own daughter going to see Dr. Maradani. She may have a wait at times due to her running back and forth delivering babies, but she is the best and will always be on your side and if she cannot she will find a way to help you. I love her and her staff and husband. She is my favorite!! Nora Jane read more

I'm a first time mom. However, I wasn't going to do a review, but after the disrespect from Dr. Maradani and your office manager..I just had to. She continues to rush me every single visit. She doesn't explain anything at all. She expects me to know everything. What's the purpose of even trying to go to a doctor if they don't even help. When you're paying your hard earned money to get medical care and your time and everything is being wasted. I had an anatomy scan done and have yet to get the results. The front office is very rude. The "office manager" screams and spazzes out for no apparent reason when you're speaking to the front desk ladies. That's not it. I had a FMLA document sent to them and it's been nearly two weeks and no call or anything. I asked for a few weeks off prior to my delivery due to pelvic pain, swollen feet, shortness of breath, due to me talking on the phone all day. I called regarding this and no treatment has been provided and nonetheless Dr. Maradani refused to even speak to me regarding the documents. She kept saying I've been working for over 22 years older than you and I only am approving 8 weeks. When I asked for a few weeks prior and my job allows 6 weeks paid for bonding. She says talk to your job that has nothing to do with me. This office is not good. Unless you're just going to sit down, shut up, do your own plethora of research, accept rude/disrespectful comments and don't ask questions. Then, this is the office for you. However, I refuse to accept this type of behavior from an Obgyn provider and office staff. I was told that I would be ignored if I tried to come up to the office to try and ask questions about documents I sent in. read more

I LOVE Dr. Maradani! I could NOT have asked for a better OBGYN she gave me the most wonderful experience, I am a first time mother and I felt well taken care of, she is compassionate, caring, and GREAT at what she does, I feel safe and certain with her and if I ever have pregnancies in the future I want to be here! Thank you so much for helping me to deliver a beautiful baby girl Into this world. Couldn't thank her enough truly, and the front desk is always very sweet! And efficient. Always a good experience for me! read more

Nice staff very easy process would recommend for girls just starting to handle their own medical issues

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Maradani and her staff. From day one the entire office made my fiancé and I feel comfortable. Dr. Maradani cares immensely about each of her patients and remembers every detail of their file. I felt incredibly well taken care of under her practice. My labor didn't go exactly as planned, but not once did I panic because Dr Maradani made sure I understood every step of the process. I highly recommend Austin Women's Clinic, and I'm looking forward to continuing my care with Dr. Maradani and her staff. read more

100% would never have this doctor or RUDE FRONT DESK staff involved in my medical care again. I was struggling finding a obgyn due to it being middle of pandemic at the time. I finally came across maradani due to a reference from a woman who wasn't a big fan, but explained she can get the job done. The two women in the office staff are by far the rudest women I have ever met. One can't count to ten, while the other literally started a fight with me because I was explaining to her I had a follow up appointment after just giving BIRTH. She argues that I'm not on the schedule, even though I just spoke to maradani on the phone who had said she was fitting me in. This woman was literally making comments and becoming threatening to someone 7 days post op from c section. You're the main reception at an obgyn clinic.. who does that? My partner thought he was going to have to block me when she got loud and stood like she wanted to fight. I was shocked, and just continued saying I'll wait for my appointment. Thankfully the older man, who is the doctors husband I believe, took over and they got me in as planned. She has WAY too many patients on her caseload, and gets to know nobody. In and out, or always late because she moves her deliveries like cattle. When she referred me for sonogram, even the staff there were making comments how she should not have so many patients.. gossiping on her being unprofessional not aware I could still hear them. While at the hospital for delivery, three different nurses were coming in complaining )in front of me this time) how the doctor does not remember what she tells the staff and is too scatterbrained. This was my FIRST pregnancy, and I was made to feel like I was the crazy one for asking so many questions. She explained to me that my anxiety was too high and "not normal", and "people give birth everyday". Then I started second guessing myself- when a doctor tells a first time mom it's not normal to be so nervous about delivery, you become even more stressed. All my anxiety for my first pregnancy was normal after talking to other moms, and what didn't help was having a doctor with no time to speak to me and came through her office like a tornado needing to get back to deliveries. Maybe without that and some reassurance that you expect from an obgyn my anxiety would have been better, but instead of helping she just gaslit me. She's been doing this for too long that she's either burned out of giving good continuity of care or she's taken on too many patients to do so. My guess is BOTH. I'm from Dallas originally, and there are obgyns that care about the family and support you- especially first time moms. The lady I now see in Austin is great. Maradani has been overloaded for years, and is like this regardless if there's a pandemic. Avoid this office unless you just desperately need an obgyn like I did, because she takes everybody (literally), and that's the biggest problem besides her front desk employees. read more

I started seeing Dr.Maradani in 2020 after my previous doctor stopped delivering babies and I switched when I was close to my third trimester. I could immediately tell the difference as Dr.Maradani is extremely busy but she was also taking on her normal patients plus a lot more more from my previous ob. Even though she can be quite busy and literally delivering babies inbetween appointments, she still shows she cares and takes time to answer questions. It was also nice that she allowed visitors as my previous on didn't so my husband missed quite a bit of sonogram for our first baby. As I write this the year is now 2021 and I'm pregnant again! So still seeing Dr.Maradani and probably will continue to do so for many more years. She has a good sense of humor and really loves her work as it definitely shows! I'd highly recommend her and just say to be patient with her and understand how busy she is as I've heard of more doctors dropping out of this practice for delivering babies. read more

I have been going to Maradani for 10+ years. I found her when I was having lower abdominal pain and cramping. I called her office and she came on the phone after hearing my symptoms. She got me in immediately and saw me right away. I continued to use her for all of my OBGYN needs. She has been nothing short of compassionate and professional (as well as her staff) through my miscarriages. In 2017 she guided me through infertility and helped me to conceive my rainbow baby. Naturally I was a very nervous pregnant patient due to my previous losses. Maradani took every phone call, called me back promptly, was kind through all my "emergency" appointments (which were always just my nerves). I was never made to feel like a burden or problem by her or her staff. March 2 i was admitted into hospital for induction. It eventually ended in C section (and Maradani saw coming) BUT again she treated me with compassion and was a true advocate for my "birth plan". She never pushed me. She gave me many options to continue induction. She gave me the time to experience the birth my way. In my experience (10+years) Dr Maradani and her staff have always displayed professionalism in both bedside manner and office protocol. I now live an hour away from her and I will continue to use her for my OBGYN needs. She is worth the travel! Her kindness and knowledge cannot be best. read more

I needed to get an annual and birth control I asked my doctor if they had anyone to refer me to. They made me an appointment with Dr. Marandani. My experience here was awful. Here are just a few of the things that happened. 1. They only had paper gowns, which is fine, except when Dr. Marandani went to examine my breasts, she literally ripped the dress all the way off of me. I was extremely uncomfortable. She never gave me any sort of reassurance, didn't inform me on how my breast exam went, and left me laying there basically naked. 2. She asked me tons of questions related to my weight. I am overweight, but I have my GP to take care of me in that area. She didn't believe me that I had my GP do a variety of tests, she didn't believe me that I had an ultrasound on my thyroid, etc. She ordered me tons of test that I already had done and refused to give me birth control before I took the tests. 3. When we got to pap smear portion she was obviously in a hurry. First of all, the bed was against the wall in this tiny room, so my left leg couldn't open very far, so I was twisted in an incredibly uncomfortable position. I got no warning before she started to exam. Literally, no warning. It was a shock. I left the office with a paper to go take tests (which I did not do because she is not my GP, and obviously didn't listen to or trust me.) Then the nurse tells me they had to do my pregnancy test 3 times because they messed it up the first time. It's been a week since that appointment and I still haven't heard anything about my Pap so I assume it was fine, but now I have to make another appointment to get on birth control. Definitely not going back to this place. Seriously. Do not go here. read more

I've been seeing Dr.Maradani for 8 years. I moved to the far north austin area about 5 years ago so it's not very convenientfor me to get to her, but she is worth the traffic. She is very kind, caring, and thorough. She listens to my concerns and spends time making sure she doesn't overlook anything. I am really into holistic health and she respects that and makes prescribe me natural medications. Sge also is the first doctor to ever discover my thyroid issues and vitamin D diffenciancy despite her strictly being my gynecologist. If you are looking for a doctor that makes you feel extremely comfortable see her. She will take very good care of your health. read more

If there was a 0 star option I would select that option. I was referred from another OBGYN office last year with my second pregnancy . Everything was so last minute to find an OBGYN that was taking new patients and this practice was the only one. FIRST they they never got my records from my other OBGYN that was no longer delivering and every-time they did testing on me they wouldn't tell me because it got lost. They have preformed so many Pap smears because they can't find the results because it got lost again. They make you write your name and everything on your urine cup and guess what there is other people using in the urine submission box. This whole clinic looks like your in a whole 3rd world country and very un organized and give inaccurate test results. After I had my baby I get a cal from their billing and accusing me off insurance fraud and that I need to show other proof of other insurance, because what I had provided apparently it wasn't covering costs. I owe them money. I provided what I had and yet still harassing me about paying them. The guy (Dr. Husband) calls me from a random number that's is NOT THE CLINICS NUMBER! Yelling at me through the phone and basically threatening me to pay up that if I don't pay how is he going to pay his staff. Like what the fuck !!!! I was on maternity leave with no pay like doing everything in my power to get this figured out and yet I get harassed and telling me I owe so much when turns out I did not let him get the best of me. I asked them that if they can send a proper billing by mail to see my charges. Weeks later they send a computer screen shot not a proper bill with an account number or nothing. This is how I knew this clinic was trying to rip me off. This whole place is a shit show! Dr. Maradoni was wonderful but I think it's time for her retirement because her husband and her staff is making the it clinic very unprofessional and unethical. OMG! There is a reason that there are so many bad reviews for this business. It is ran like it is in a third world country. The staff have no bedside manners. They seem to be illiterate and clueless. Here is the way my biopsy went on 2/21/2017: Weight and blood pressure taken(Mine was high due to my nervousness over the procedure to be done). I asked to use the restroom before going back. In the restroom on a table, there were several cups with YES urine in them. Each person had gotten a label and written their name and the date on theirs. I was already thinking how unprofessional and unsecure that was. After I came out of the restroom the staff person was no where in sight so I stood there for a good 10 minutes. I finally had to ask which room was I in. Dr Maradani came in and gave some instruction. She asked it I had left a urine sample. I told her no that I was not told to. She called in the staff and asked why had they not told me to and proceeded to tell them how to do their job. So awkward!! That said, the biopsy was proceeding and the staff person came in. She blurts out, "What up Dog or Doc" one or the other, both rude and ignorant. She herself looked slightly grimy and ghetto. She did not have what the Dr was going to need prepared and laid out, so I laid there stressed out, bared assed with my legs in the air. I made the comment to Dr Maradani that I felt that was so unprofessional. She said "that's the way she is". The staff person came back in the room with the correct instruments. This time she blurts out, "What about those Cowboys". Dr Maradani told her "Be quiet do not say anything else, Can't you see that she is stressed". That is only the first half of the BAD service I received during this ordeal. So here it is 3/1/2017. I received a voicemail yesterday morning. It was one of the "staff" who said they had the test results back and to call them. I called back immediately upon listening to it. The person told me that Dr Maradani told them that they were to get her as soon as I called(Those were the words). I was put on hold for a very long time. When the person came back on the line she said the Dr could not leave the patient she was with but would call me right back. Well I called back 3 times trying to get biopsy results. Each time I was told the Dr would call me right back. THEY CALLED ME FIRST! The staff seemed so unconcerned each time I called. The 4th and last time I called yesterday, I was told 2 different stories by the same answering service. First she said the Dr was at the hospital making rounds and when I told her I was waiting on test results and wanted the Dr to call me. She said her had a family emergency and had to leave. All you get at this Women's Clinic is unprofessionalism. As soon as I get test results back(which I will get a second opinion on as now I do not trust anything they would say) I will NEVER go back and I am considering turning in their UNSECURE and UNSANITARY practice to the Medical Board. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF PUTTING YOUR HEALTH IN THEIR HANDS!! read more

I live in South Austin, and before my 24 weeks of pregnancy, I was being seen at Lone Star Circle of Care in Round Rock. I liked it there because they were very informative, but the drive was way too far from me, so I had to find an OB/GYN who was near me and accepts my insurance. At 27 weeks, I found Dr. Sarita Maradani, and decided to give her a try. My appointment was at 1pm. I came on time, and had many paperwork's to fill out since I was a new patient. By 1:15pm, I went into the exam room where the employees asked me more questions. By the time they were finished, it was 1:30pm. The employees were pretty friendly making conversation. So after that, I'm sitting in the exam room waiting for the Dr to see me. I've waited for an hour in the exam room for the Dr, and fell asleep on the exam bed. Aside from the wait, she comes in and does an ultrasound. I was telling her how I didn't know the gender of my baby and would like to know, and she said her machine was too little to determine the gender. I was 27 weeks at the time. I'm pretty sure your little machine can determine the gender since the baby is big enough for your little machine to catch if baby has a penis or not. She didn't even bother to find out the gender for me. She only looked at the ultrasound for a good minute or two, and that was it. She said she was going to refer me an ultrasound some place else to determine the gender and I said okay. She then asks me if I've gotten my glucose testing yet, and I said no. All she said was okay to that. After that, she was done. I only saw her for probably 5 minutes. She was done, and left. She didn't even ask me if I had any questions, when I had a lot and she wasn't very informative. She was just in a hurry to leave out of the exam room when all she did was come in, did an ultrasound and left. So I go to the receptionist, and she hands me this paper to go so I figured it was for the ultrasound since the Dr said she was going to refer me to another ultrasound place. I show up at the place, and they hand me a fruit juice and tells me to drink it all within 5 minutes, and to wait an hour have my blood drawn. I asked, "What is this for?" They said it was for the glucose testing the the dr had ordered me. In my mind, I was thinking, "WHAT IN THE HELLLLL?! The dr didn't even inform me of this, and what if I had things to do within that hr." I was soo pissed at the dr, that I got fed up. DO NOT GO HERE!! First off, She's not informative. She will order you things and not tell you. She doesn't even want to be there. She's in a hurry. She doesn't even ask me if I have any other questions. This is my first baby, and I would like to know what to expect and I'm new to this, so it'd be nice if she told me what to expect and to make me feel comfortable. I was so uncomfortable with her! I really tried to like Dr. Sarita Maradani, but after she lied to me about referring me to an ultrasound, but instead get my blood drawn and wait for an hour, that was very unacceptable. I need a doctor that I can trust, and she is not one of them. At 27 weeks, I should've found a dr that Ima stick with since I'm due soon, but NO THANK YOU! I will take my chances some place else. I am now being seen at CommUnity Care in South Austin and they are wonderful! They gave me tons of brochures, told me where I will be giving birth at, what a contraction feels like and told me tons of informative things that I never knew of. I'm so thankful to have switched! I love them! read more

I was refered to Dr Maradani by my OB who no longer delivers and trusted her enough to make the reference. Lo and behold my boyfriends and my first (and last) experience with her was anything but joyful. This is our first child and I have always known that I wanted to have as natural a birth as possible.. preferably with a midwife and doula. Upon meetig Dr M and telling her this she immediately whips up a lot of bullhonky stats about how natural births and those with midwives are the highest leading cause of death and how midwives always have disastrous deliveries and all the times she was a superhero when a midwife couldn't complete a birth and how she has delivered 7000 babies blah blah blah. At this point my bf an I are giving each other the eye of shock. red flag 1. After her verbal beatdown of everything that I as the woman and mother want to bring my child into this crazy world, she takes a call on her cell phone and leaves the room. red flag 2 and 3. She finally returns from her casual phone call and we do the sonogram. This is an incredibly special moment for my bf and I as it's the first time we get to see our little pinto. My bf gets stoked and says "i think i see the face!" she immediately belittles him and says "no it's too early for the face." our little sprout had two perfectly legible eyesockets and a big ass head. that is the face dr. red flag 4 and infinity. after that was over she continued her rampage about midwives and we left feeling beat down not how anyone should feel the first time after they see this beautiful creation of life. too often we are misinformed by doctors powers of influence but really it is your right to bring your child into the world anyway you feel fit. dr maradani has been fired because i do not want that dragon breathing her nagativity into my cervix. i highly dissuade anyone from seeing her. read more

Problems started before I even got there. On the date of my inital appointment, the front office staff called and told me that I would need to be rescheduled for another date because someone scheduled me at a time when nobody would be in the office. I explained that my husband and I both took time off that day, so I was given an appointment for 2pm. I'm on time and it's not until 3:15 that I get called in. While I'm getting my blood pressure taken, the practitioner and a nurse talk over my head about leaving by 4:30 pm and they ask me if one of my procedures can wait until my next appointment. I say fine, eager to just hear my nugget's heart for the first time, and am led to a room for an ultrasound. At 4:20 I still hadn't been seen. I wasn't going to let her do a 10 minute rush job, so we decided to leave. Husband walked out first to talk insurance and by the time I got my pants back on and walked out, the practitioner had her purse on her shoulder, and was on her cell phone talking about how she was finishing up for the day. No apology, no eye contact, nothing. Actually, nobody apologized and said "see you in two weeks!" No you're not. The whole experience was sad and a total waste. read more

Doctor Maradani has been my doctor for over 10 years. She has always been compassionate and knowledgeable the entire time I've seen her. I've never been treated like just another "patient number" at any point during my time as a patient. The clinic staff has it together, is very friendly, and can almost always get you in that day or at least that week. Dr. Maradani delivered my son who was a mandatory C-section from the begnining and I thank God she was smart enough to realize, accept, and appreciate the importance of not trying anything natural for the sake of doing so. She was reliable and extremely knowledgeable my entire pregnancy and did a world class cessarean. After not yet 2 years since, there is barely a scar. She has always known who to refer her patients to if a service outside her specialty or what her office provides is best for her patients (and will often communicate directly with those whom she referred for services). Dr. Maradani is one of the best doctors out there in my opinion and has a strong knowledge of diet and supplements and how they affect ones overall health - in addition to being highly knowledgeable about prescriptions and procedures. I am thankful to have her as my doctor. The doctors she works with in her office and in the operating room are excellent as well. read more

I have been with Dr. Maradani since before my pregnancy and was willing to tolerate her extreme tardiness, roughness, and abrupt manner as long as she was keeping my health her priority. Unfortunately, when we tried to discuss labor and birthing options, Dr. Maradani kept insisting that we be induced at 37 weeks, even though the perinatologist said that induction would not be necessary. When we asked Dr. Maradani why induction would be necessary, she became defensive and threatening telling us it's better to deliver a low-weight baby than a dead one. She also said that doctors who allow natural birthing methods do not know what they're doing and that the baby is done developing at 37 weeks. These statements are not supported by research and it disgusted us that she would resort to fear tactics to attempt to force us to induce. After the specialist confirmed with her that there was no need to induce, she still insisted that we use pitocin to augment labor. Because Dr. Maradani refused to discuss this and other options, even with a perinatologist backing us up, we decided to switch doctors at 36 weeks. I will say that her nurse, Jessica, is amazing and one of the friendliest ladies I've ever dealt with in a medical setting. If you want to be involved in the decisions of your pregnancy, labor, and delivery, this is not the doctor for you. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Maradani for about 7 years now. She delivered my 2 children a boy and a girl. Before I decided to make her my doctor I interviewed several doctors & she was the one I felt most comfortable with. Upon my research of her I found out that she worked for one of the best hospitals in NYC before coming to Austin, being that I'm from NY I know that hospital well & knew she had to be a damn good doctor to have been working there and she absolutely is. This woman knows her stuff. She is straight to the point sometimes without sugar coating it. Some might find it offensive I find it comforting. Sure sometimes you may have to wait a bit to see her that's with any doctor though so that didn't bother me at all. I asked her many questions and she was and has always been forthcoming with information for me. She's a bit old school and that's what I like and appreciate most about her. I remember wanting to get 3D ultrasound done and I asked her and she told me straight up that she didn't feel comfortable letting her patients have that done, because it hasnt been around very long and we dont know if it can do damge or hurt the baby or me. I appreciated that. She is absolutely caring. So much so that when I didn't have insurance anymore I had to go be seen by a different doctor due to a female problem I was having and when I told her the situation and i wasn't happy with the doctor, she said to me not to worry come to see her and we will work out the payment. I love this doctor and feel at ease knowing I'm getting awesome care. I also referred a close friend to her that was experiencing problems that her OB didn't find, when she got to Dr. Maradani she diagnosed her and she was in surgery within a month. I will always refer people to her and I will always be her patient. She is a wonderful doctor and has been a blessing to me. read more

OMG. I'm so shocked with these reviews!?! I love Doctor Maradani!! I noticed that people complained about appointments being moved or late due to her leaving for deliveries. There are literally signs in every room making you aware that this could happen!?! If it was me I'd much rather have my OB deliver than the on call Dr because she had an appointment. She's dedicated to her patients and I love that! Anyways... She delivered my sisters 3 kids and my other sisters daughter. My friend was also referred to her for a high risk surgery that was needed and that no other doctor felt comfortable doing without hurting baby. My friend is still here because of her and her son is healthy!! She truly is amazing!!! She is a high risk pregnancy OBGYN. She genuinely cares for you and baby. She did fantastic with my high risk pregnancy and she did her best to ease my mind and answer all my questions. We just found out we're expecting again. At my postpartum appointment she mentioned going for a VBAC the next time around after 2 years since I had to have a C-Section. It's been about that long and I can't wait to have my first appointment with her soon. I love that she's old school, laid back, straight to the point and wise. The clinic isn't the fanciest but I'd prefer her 30+ years of experience and knowledge over a nice place. You won't be disappointed! read more

Came here last time i needed my eyes checked they had good service. I only came here once, but the time i did come it was pleasant.

Dr.Maradani is my ob/gyn for 7 years. She is professional, straight forward and caring.. I had two deliveries with her. All my procedures and surgeries went extremely well.. she is a proactive person with high knowledge in her field. The predictions she made in these 7 yrs had never gone wrong for me. Whenever you address some problems she straight away comes out with solutions that always work. Her staffs are friendly as well. One of her staffs removed staples for me when doc was on the way from the hospital(after getting my opinion on whether i want to wait for the doc) and i was so comfortable even with her staffs. I delivered my babies in St.Davids south austin and during the experience she was extremely pleasant. I have called her a couple of times at midnights, she was always helpful and gave feasible solutions. I also received calls the next day from her staffs to make sure i am fine. She is the only ob/gyn who is working on Saturdays. As my home is half an hour far from her clinic she always makes sure i get a Saturday appt. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a professional and knowledgable gyn. read more

This is my second pregnancy, My first was delivered by Tara Cherry who is awesome! Unfortunately they are not accepting patients at this time. So BCBS gave me Dr. Sarita Maradani. After reading reviews it was confirmed horrible, she also did not inform me before lifting my shirt to check my breast and the nurse was there starring at me it was so awkward. Just had my second appt. with her and she greeted herself again to me, didn't even remember me and asked if I had been seen there before??? Uh yea! She gave me an ultra sound that lasted not even maybe 2 min. Says baby is doing ok and moving she stood in the way of the machine and I'm having to sit up to see my baby did I mention I have never heard the heartbeat? She then moved her arm so that I could see through a little whole under her arm to see my baby. She changed the due date and tried to refer me somewhere else for a sonogram, told the nurse don't worry about it, I'm finding another doctor. Please, do not waste your time there. read more
