There is not one other whom my husband and I trust and respect more than Dr. Cindy Mingea. She helped me with my transition into motherhood , with each of my children. Years later, after she exhausted all other options over several years, she performed a much-needed hysterectomy and assisted me medically and emotionally through that transition. When my daughter experienced a "female" medical emergency, I called Dr. Mingea's office. My daughter was too young to be her patient, but Dr. Mingea immediately took my call; listened to the details and answered many questions the general surgeon simply was not expert enough on the topic to answer. Her advice led us to refuse the proposed surgery, and, just as Dr. Mingea expected, nature resolved the issue. With my consent, she has even fielded many calls from my husband over the years. Anytime he had concerns, whether during my pregnancies or prior to my hysterectomy, Dr. Mingea would treat his concerns with as much respect as she did my own. He holds her in the highest regard. She is extremely successful but always humble. I am confident in her years of experience and wisdom but am also comforted in knowing she will never act like a "know-it-all". They also verified that I would be fully covered by my insurance. Filled out the forms online and had my records from Florida transferred over easily. When it came time for my appointment, I was greeted at the front desk and checked in. I made sure to arrive 15 minutes early in case there was more paperwork, but I was all set. The nurse took me back and I was in and out within 20 minutes total. Super quick and easy. Dr. Hagan is very nice and does not rush you. Plenty of parking out front of the office and it is validated once you go in the office and scan the qr code. Super easy experience. Glad I found this great office.

She took a very thorough history when I first became a patient and identified a potential genetic issue that no other doctor had thought about. I got the genetic testing done and thankfully I don't have the full gene profile that is considered high risk, but it could have easily gone the other way, so I was very pleased that she deduced that I should be screened. I've given my history to probably 20 providers in my almost 60 years and she is the first person who caught the risk factors. So she is thorough!

NO STAR! Horrible clinical experience with Dr. Mumfrey…read moreresulting in delay of care and second ER visit! On a Saturday morning I woke up with excruciating pain, shortness of breath, numbness of both upper/lower extremities, and chest pains and went to the ER via EMS. The diagnosis at the ER by the ER Doctor and the hospital OB/GYN was a ruptured ovarian cyst with blood leaking into my abdominal cavity which caused the excruciating pain on my pelvic and abdomen and the radiating pain through my chest and shoulders. Because I was bleeding internally my hemoglobin level kept dropping and I was held at Dell Seton for approx. 36 hours until they determined emergency surgery was not needed and my labs stabilized. All this was confirmed via CT scan, sonogram, and multiple rounds of blood work. I am a BSN RN with years of experience in different clinical settings, so I understood from a clinical perspective all that was happening and being communicated by the Doctors. On discharge from the hospital I was told to see OB/GYN for follow up care, and timing of return to work. This is where Dr. Mumfrey comes in. Dr. Mumfrey did not view the actual imagings, dismissed the other two MD's diagnosis, said he didn't believe my labs from the hospital, and only read the tech's notes from the CT scan - again he couldn't be bothered to view it himself and relied on a lower-level tech's notes. Dr. Mumfrey did not prescribe anything to treat my condition nor would he write either a return to work note, nor a note keeping me out of work for any length of time. Since my cyst was not cancerous he was sending me back to work immediately. The next day his office called and my labs WERE abnormal (anemic- likely related to the blood loss that he didn't believe in), and his only advice was to "go to the ER if the pain persisted." An MD failing to do anything and encouraging over-use of the ER. Had to go to the Seton work clinic (My employer) to see that nurse for return to work clearance. My condition had again deteriorated and that nurse encouraged me to go to the ER where I was treated again, received prescriptions and plan of care for the inflammation and timing on when to return to work. So, all the Doctors before and after Dr. Mumfrey agreed on my condition and course of treatment, gave me meaningful and timely care. Dr. Mumfrey arrogantly and ignorantly ignored the other Doctors and delayed my care and worsened my condition. I am getting appropriate care now, no thanks to Dr. Mumfrey.

I found Dr. Hi a few years ago living in Austin. I moved away for 2 years, and when I came back, I immediately looked for her again to continue to be my OBGYN. She has truly been the best I have ever had, and I am so grateful to have found her. She is truly in the right profession. Highly recommend!

I hate hate hate giving 1 star reviews but truly my experience as a patient here has been…read moreabsolutely terrible. If you are reading reviews and thinking about establishing care here, I strongly advise you go anywhere else. I started coming in 2019 with Dr. DeSantis and in 2021 I switched over to Dr. Hu. To make a long story short, my IUD was not in the correct spot for most of the time I have had it in. Dr. Hu told me she was "very glad I was not pregnant." Considering my IUD was centimeters from where it was supposed to be (lowering the effectiveness of the birth control), I AM VERY GLAD TOO???? There were two instances where Dr. Hu performed an ultrasound to check the placement of my Kyleena IUD. She told me she "thought it was in the correct spot," but sounded unsure as she could not get a good picture either time. I left both appointments feeling not confident, but since she told me the IUD was 99% effective, I chose to trust her judgement over a gut feeling that something was wrong. Spotting is typical from 2-3 months after IUD insertion. I kept waiting and thinking the spotting would stop but after the one month check-up, it was only getting worse. At this point, I was bleeding for most hours of the day. Not just light spotting but constantly bleeding through underwear, pads, and tampons. I finally got it checked out after having Kyleena in for 5 months and this time, Dr. Hu tried a little harder to get a picture, and we found out it was misplaced. Since a misplaced IUD has risk for unintended pregnancy, I opted to have it removed. Imagine bleeding everyday for five months and thinking that you are protected against pregnancy only for that not to be true. Not only is that absolutely insane, but negligent on the doctor's part and dangerous for me as a patient. Beyond this experience, the office is horrible at sending results or getting back to you on inquiries. I would wait for weeks on end to get test results and that was only after incessantly calling. Even when my IUD was delivered to the office, they did not give me a call. I had to call them! Every appointment I have had with Dr. Hu in the last year consisted of 60-90 minutes of waiting after my appointment time. I work in a medical office too and of course, each patient deserves time with the doctor and appointment times will run over occasionally. However, for this to be the case with every appointment I have had, is either a bad stroke of luck on my part or a serious scheduling issue that needs to be resolved. I cannot even believe I STILL have more bad things to say, but I do. Lastly, it takes forever to get an appointment. I initially called for my IUD consult in August and the earliest I could have it inserted was November. When I called regarding the abnormal bleeding from the IUD, the earliest they could get me in was 3 weeks from the date I called. I could've yanked out the IUD and gotten rid of my problems in much less time. This was a traumatizing experience actually, and I feel distrustful of anything these doctors have to say. I hope no one else has to go through this experience and this office changes. I have since found a new provider.

I could hear every conversation happening outside of my exam room and even up by the front desk. This could be a bad thing depending on what the doctors, nurses and other staff are discussing. I always felt rushed and I never really felt a connection with the doctors there. Mostly because every time I went (once a year) they had a new doctor doing my exam and they were so cold and indifferent, that I never felt comfortable asking questions or going over any concerns I had. When I did ask things, I felt like they just gave the most generic google type answer I left more confused then I when I came in. Dr. Asfouri on the other hand took so much time going through all my questions and made me feel truly comfortable! He always makes it a point to go over my health needs and ask me questions that I haven't thought to ask. I always leave feeling reassured that I am in the best care I could want or need. I'm now pregnant and can not begin to rave about the knowledge and care I receive from Dr. Asfouri! His staff is truly amazing! Everyone is friendly, smiling and they all seems to truly like being there and helping people out. You don't get that in health care often, so they really are a rare gem of an office!

I had a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience with Dr. Souhail Asfouri and this office…read more First, the clinic did not appear prepared for my appointment or have the information from my PCP referral readily available. I was referred because of an abnormal Pap result (LSIL), and I came expecting the doctor to review my actual results and explain the appropriate next steps. Instead, Dr. Asfouri did not have my HPV test result, yet much of the conversation focused on HPV. He explained HPV to me and asked questions about whether I had sexual partners other than my husband. I found this particularly frustrating because the issue I was specifically trying to resolve was that I had never received an HPV result confirming whether I was positive or negative. My documented result was an abnormal Pap/LSIL. What concerned me most was the examination. Dr. Asfouri appeared ready to proceed with a cervical biopsy without first clearly explaining to me what he was going to do, exactly why the biopsy was necessary, what I should expect during the procedure, or what pain-management options were available. I was already being examined when I stopped and asked whether my insurance would cover the biopsy. At that point, he immediately removed his gloves, told me to get dressed, and told me to call my insurance myself. I left without having the procedure and without feeling that my questions or concerns had been properly addressed. I also had an uncomfortable experience with the front-office environment. While waiting, I heard staff discussing patients and laughing, which I found very unprofessional and made me uncomfortable about privacy and how patients are treated when they are not present. I understand that a cervical biopsy may be medically appropriate after certain abnormal Pap results, and my complaint is not simply that a biopsy was recommended. My concern is the lack of communication, preparation, explanation, and patient-centered care before attempting to proceed with an invasive procedure. I paid a $40 copay for this appointment and ultimately had to return to my PCP to request another referral because I did not feel comfortable continuing my care here. Patients dealing with abnormal cervical screening results are already understandably concerned. They deserve clear explanations, informed consent, professionalism, and an opportunity to understand both the procedure and their insurance coverage before anything is done. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
