Terrible place to shop and or buy glasses. Antionette doesnt know anything . I bought and paid for 2 pair of prescription glasses. I originally came up there with my prescription. They took my order and when I called back to ck no one answered the phone. I had to go back in person to ck on my order, they didn't even have a note in the computer with my prescription or that I had even came there previously and had asked specifically about two pairs of frames they stated they sold there. I had to start the process all over again! The optometrist (sorry forgot his name, older man, gray hair and beard) who came to help me Had had the friggn shakes!! he could not hold his hands still. He scribbled marker all over the sample glasses to make the markings to line up with my pupils for the glasses I was ordering and paying for. His writing was illegible. I didn't feel confident about the markings he made regarding my PD. I called on more than 3 occasions to ck on my glasses. No one answered the phone all three times. I left voicemails no call back. I emailed, no email or call back. I finally went up there only to find out my glasses were ready! No accountability. Antionette kept trying to defend herself "It wasn't me " OK well can you find out why or what happened? I asked to speak to a manager and or the owner. I was promised someone would call me. I NEVER received a call. After I picked up my glasses, Antionette didn't even ask if they fit well, or could I see out of them. She was ready for me to go. I called her back a few days later in the morning which she suggested if I wanted to speak to someone, to ask about my promised phone call. Once again, she got defensive as though there was nothing she could do. This was a terrible experience for spending over $500 dollars on glasses. Terrible customer service, no follow up. No accountability no professionalism No system of records regarding your medical information (i.e. prescription), BUYER BEWARE. I would not shop here. There are much more professional and better places. This Dr William K Shiomi should be ashamed to have his name assciaed with the place, Still never received a call from him or anyone else regarding my concerns. read more

These people are by far the worst!! My kids and I have had Covid unable to pick up my glasses for being quarantined and sent the half of what I owed to collections! I do not have the glasses but yet sent me to collections after being a loyal customer for 20 years!!! read more

I had a follow up appointment that was made in June of this year. I was scheduled to have my pupils dilated. I was told I needed a driver,after the examination since my pupils would be dilated. I had my daughter take off work to be my driver. She was dropped off at the east entrance to the mall only to find the mall was closed. I phoned the office and got a message that stated the office was open for appointments and pick ups. I walked to the west entrance a found it was closed also. I called again and spoke to someone in the office who gave my directions to another entrance. Once I got inside I discovered they were not going to dilate my pupils. I asked why I was not notified earlier so I would not have to arrange a ride or even waste my time coming. They had no answers. This is a terrible way to run a business. As I said I have had my appointment since June so there was plenty of time to notify me. Time to find another eye doctor. read more

My family and I have been going to this place for years. I stopped going for a couple of years (change in insurance), but recently went back. The sunglasses that I paid a lot of money for last time broke and the prescription want quite right, but I decided to try them out again, so I went back. I don't know what happened to this place, but I'm pretty sure I won't be going back. The doctor have a good and thorough exam, but the customer service there is horrible. I don't even want to go back to finish up the business that I have there. I looked through tons of frames with one worker there, but couldn't find a pair to properly fit my round face. One worker started helping, but didn't have the time to fully assist me, even though I waited for 25 minutes for assistance after my exam was over. Another one tried to help me. We After looking through what they had in the store, she looked online and was supposed to order 3 pair for me to look at once they arrived. I was to come and check them out when my contacts that were ordered came in. But guess what, I drive way over there to find out that they were never ordered and there was no record of the pairs that I picked out. The solution,.... Nothing feasible and reasonable. The next week, I have an issue with my trial pair of contacts. One eye was irritating me and I struggled to get the contact out. I get it it and go to bed. In the middle of the night, I want up and my eye is killing me. I go to the ER and it turns out that I have a corneal abrasion. I must've scratched on the middle of the night or something for too the irritation. After my eye heals up, I call to make an appointment. The doc said if there were any issues with the contacts, that I should come back. When I call, the idiots who answer the phone act like they never heard of someone having issues with their contact prescription. I'm confused at her confusion. I finally get an appointment for a few days down the line. Or so I'm told. The day of my appointment, I get there, the person put me in the system for the wrong day. I'm not shocked. Its Friday and I'm leaving the country the following Tuesday and I really would like to be able see while Im gone. I rescheduled other appointments to be able to see the doctor before I left, so I demand that they fix the situation. They randomly and unexpectedly have a spot to put me in that's at my exact appointment time, So I'm there and im waiting. I wait an over and HOUR AND A HALF, and never get to see the doctor. I finally leave, only to have my whole day worth of appointments screwed up and I'm still rocking my old glasses/prescription. I asked to be put on the schedule for Monday or Tuesday before I leave, and they reluctantly do. I didn't ever up going because I could not risk then being late and missing my flight because of their lack of customer service and common sense. It's like why am I begging to drive 16 miles from home for an appointment? Here it is weeks later, and Im still pissed,... with no glasses or contacts though. I need to go back to follow up on my contacts, but I definitely don't want to have to deal with these people. Beware of this place. Get your exam here if you need, but skip their nonsense and go to Costco or Sam's Club for your glasses or contacts. read more

These people only SELL glasses. With my insurance I would have paid only $69 for TWO (2) pairs of glasses but my doctor recommended (SOLD) me one pair of progressive glasses which blurs my vision and gives me a headache. Dr. Kim told me during my exam that my sight could never be improved; so why is she now telling me to continue to wear glasses that blur my vision until my eyes get used to them? This seems to me that my vision then is being made worse by the glasses since they can't get better. Also, be careful what you sign when you're in the eye doctors office and you don't have your glasses on because you're being told what it "means." I can't believe I fell for that. :( Now I have to wait another full year to get another doctor and replace the glasses. read more

Great eye dr. They always take care of me. I have been using Dr Shiomi for many years. They have great assistants, and a pretty good selection of frames. The easiest appt times are weekdays as usual but they are pretty quick yet not rushing you. read more

I don't usually review but I have been going to Dr. Shiomi for the last 11 years or so. Hands down the best eye doctor ever. Very nice and informative. He's got at least 40 years of experience in his field. The only problem is that Dr. Shiomi does not accept new patients any more so you get passed on to optometrists that are not nearly as good at Carson Vision. Which means my future kids will not have him as a doctor. :( He also only works on Sundays so those are the only time I can go in for my eye appointment. And since everyone wants him, it takes at least 2-3 weeks to set an appointment, which is a hindrance... read more
