Brought my elderly mother here for a eye exam. The asian lady optometrist stated she had a bad case of glaucoma and should be seen by a city specialist and refused to provide a prescription. A few months later my mother in law was seen by a specialist and cleared her to get an eye exam so she can get new glasses. We went to a different optometrist and when they look up her info they denied her service because it was showing as being used for the year by Eye Smile... Way to steal from the elderly!!! Small office which is fine, the normal exam give was like going back to I don't know what era, they make you look at a book to conduct an exam?? Appointment was on 7/23 and glasses order was put in until 8/2. I called left several messages with no return call. Finally got someone on the phone and was told there was a delay because the company they use was behind and since it was through medical they typically take 2 to 3 weeks. They advise they would call company and with update but never received a call. Called again finally spoke to another girl and I vented out my frustration and asked why it was taking so long and that's when I was told the order was submitted until 8/2. Said she would call the company and update me, and yes she did give update , the glasses shipped on 8/14 and she needed to find a tracking#, which I know it was BS because why wouldn't you ask for the tracking# at the same time you had confirmation?? I finally said said F! This and went to Costco on a Saturday 8/24 a week before Labor Day and received glasses from Costco 8/31. Eyesmile notified of glasses ready on 8/30 making it an almost a month and half to get glasses. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE/DOCTOR AND SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE AND TIME. This is my primary eye doctor, and Myhanh Tran O.D. really is a great optometrist... She is very knowledgeable, kind and easy to talk to. I found this location through my vision insurance provider (VSP) and so far everything has gone very smoothly. On my last visit (today) she hooked me up with a free trial pair of contact lenses, contact cleaner, glasses cleaner and a soft case for my glasses that I took off to try the free lenses... No real reason, just that I didn't have them on me at the time, so she just said, here ya go... Thanks! Anyway, I get my contacts here and checkups... I took my mom here for an eye exam and the two ladies up front were both extremely nice and welcoming. They even checked my insurance to see if I could possibly come there two and yes my VPS insurance is accepted here. Now, the doctor when she walked in, she didn't speak and I believe she was over 20 mins late which wasn't a good look, especially since I review all places I go to. My mom said after her exam went fine, and she didn't have any complaints. When I spoke to the doctor she wasn't nice, I just didn't feel a connection with her. The entire place was clean and they had a good choice of glasses to choose from. Not sure if I would take my mom back yet. read more

Not too happy with the service I received. I have funny insurance so I called ahead of time to see if I needed a referral for an appointment or not. The lady took my info and told me she would call me in an hour because she was busy. When she called back she said my insurance should be fine and I booked the appointment. Of course when I get there it's a different story. She tells me that I need a referral but I can instead buy the package special. Then the doctor comes out and double checks my insurance then proceeds to try to sell me the package deal again! If I wanted a special I wouldn't be going through my insurance! I leave, call another optometrist and give my info again. They immediately tell me I need a referral. This place sounds like they want you to come in so they can promote their specials. The lady up front didn't even know how to check my insurance correctly! Needless to say, I did not book a follow up. read more

I've been coming here for the past 3 years and all visits were excellent. Myhanh is the owner and she is very personable. The receptionist is also very friendly and thorough. One thing I like about this place is that they don't try to sell me something that I don't need. Myhanhs husband owns the dentistry right next door, but doesn't take my insurance. Otherwise, I'll be going to both. They have a big selection of frames and if you don't have insurance, you get eye test, lens, and frames for $120. read more

Came here with their new patient special and got my glasses and exam at a good price.. I actually priced out the cost of purchasing vision insurance and this is a better deal. I also decided to bring my children here as well. The staff and Doctor have been very helpful and they even saw my son last minute before they closed because he was having a problem with his eye. Other offices want you to pay and then you submit your paperwork to your insurance for reimbursement. Dr Tran's staff takes care of that for you. So very easy. In and out. 1.5 stars : They look friendly but they talked to me like I was stupid or something! I went 2 times here and both times they didn't accept me the first time because I didn't have a letter from my doctor saying that I need to see the Optometry (When I called to make the appointment they never told me that I needed that letter! They also never ask about my insurance or nothing) so I told them "The letter is all I need" they said yes so I was ok I went to my doctor and got the letter I call again make ANOTHER appointment and then the day comes around and I go back then I give them my insurance and the letter from the doctor then the assistant and the doctor are back and forth saying "yes we can take her" and "no we can't" for 3 mins in the end they didn't accept me because: "Our optometry's name needs to be on the letter" keep in mind that the first time I went they just told me I needed a letter saying I needed to see the Optometry and when I asked them several times "so thats all I need" they said "yes" they never said anything about the letter having to have there name on the it even when I asked them several times if thats all I needed. In the end she said she couldn't take me and if I wanted I could go back to my doctors to ask to put the name on the paper and then call to make an appointment (FOR THE 3rd TIME WTF!) I just said "whatever" and left my little sister was with me and even she looked annoyed at the costumer service. I ended up going to another optometry way WAY better !! read more
