I normally don't write reviews, but this experience was too important to ignore. I went to this vision center with my son and my friend, and all three of us had our eye exams done here on separate visits. When we received our glasses, none of the prescriptions were correct. Mine felt like looking through a magnifying glass, my son's vision was still blurry, and my friend had the same issue. The optometrist was a very short asian chubby lady with glasses. At first, I thought maybe it was a one-time mistake, but for all three of us to end up with wrong prescriptions felt like more than just an accident. We recently got my son's eyes rechecked at Costco, and the difference was night and day--his vision was instantly clear with the new glasses. That really confirmed my suspicion that something went very wrong at this office. I understand mistakes happen, but this felt careless and unprofessional. If you value your eyesight, I'd recommend double-checking your prescription elsewhere. We won't be returning. read more

They had all the technology and they really took care of us and most importantly the prices were fair. First impression, not so good. I stood in line to get glasses. A second employee came out and asked what I needed, she then told me to go to the front. That employee proceeded to ask the lady behind me what she needed. (She needed to pick up glasses). So the employee got her glasses and began helping her with her glasses. I waited a few moments before leaving to grab a bite. I assumed I would be helped right away or that they would have communicated why I would need to wait. I may try to stop by again but I definitely felt undervalued. read more

Dr. William is delusional and spends more time talking about his mother and other unimportant things than focusing on the eye exams. He walks around like he is gazing at unseen stars and space unicorns. Guess that's why I had to wait so long to be seen. I overheard several of his conversations with clients, as the doors remain open so there is absolutely no privacy. He didn't even ask me about the obvious cyst on my eyeball. Glasses that I paid $277 CASH for... one side of the frame was loose. Nobody thought to check the quality once they were received from shipping? My options of what I might want or need weren't explained to me in detail. Basically I was treated as though I am an expert in eyewear. Jezel talks so fast that you can't even comprehend what the hell she is saying. So yeah, do some research beforehand about what you want. I don't even have anything tangible showing my prescription. Took my money quick though. Oh, and don't bother calling; They never answer the phone because they are unable to multitask. They'll say that they have been having phone issues, which is a complete lie. Probably because the majority of their clientele are Medi- Cal recipients, thus not a priority. Super pissed because I basically spent damn near $300 for glasses that don't shade enough to block out the sun while driving! WTF are these for then? When I'm outside at the damn park?! I went in to order contacts and Stephanie was able to assist me. She was very helpful and I was in there for less than 20 mins. Let me tell you... if you're in the area and u want to make an appt or have a question, it's better to just go there because you won't have any luck getting a hold of them over the phone. The glasses they had were nice and they were ready within 1 week. I never have to wait long to get my glasses. My favorite place to get my eye exams and glasses. Horrible! Seriously. 1st time trying the place because it's in convenient proximity to my house. I was disappointed from the start and continue to be disappointed. Showed up to my appointment and they "forgot" to book my daughter with me. So we had to reschedule. Came back and was when I saw how old the equipment was once we got back to then exam area. However, frames were decent so I decided to just finish it up and be done. Well I've been waiting months for my frames. By the time they come in it will be time for my next exam. They don't return phone calls.....ever. I have to physically go in to get answers. They have given me the same lame excuse several times "they will be ready in a couple weeks" Will not be returning here. read more

My daughter and I went to carson vision on 4/19/25, when I walked in a lady was sitting at the front desk area and 2 ladies were at the back desk area, no one acknowledged us. As we looked at glasses the ladies continued to walk back past us never even saying good morning. The one at the front desk went to the desk near the back, walked right past us not saying one word. The 2 at back eventually left the floor while my daughter and I was just standing there looking crazy. I started to leave, but I have a upcoming eye exam and I needed new glasses. Eventually one of the ladies came out the back and I stopped her. I asked her is there anyone here to assist the customer with glasses? She then helped me. I did purchase eyeglasses. This has always been my go to place for glasses and my daughter always gets her glasses her, sometimes 2 pair at a time. Customer service was always great. I have never looked for any other place to buy eyeglasses but if this is the customer service being provided I will start looking around before it's time for new glasses. read more

When I received my shades, I felt they were off somehow, not sure what. I had an appointment with my ophthamaligist, I was told the left side was just plain glass. I went to Carson Vision and was told I wanted distance. I said yes and again explained about the left lens. With my insisted, she told me she would check. When she returned, she told me they would be ready in three weeks. Actually, it took one. Only eye company that doest ask for you to see if they were OK and give eye test after to check if everything is ok. read more

So I starting going to this place since March 2023 because it's close to my place. The optometrist Nguyen was very pleasant and attentive to my needs. I'm writing this review is for the 2 very unpleasant experiences I received the 2nd time I came to this establishment. I came back for a visit this past April because my vision seemed a little blurry, but I received a very unpleasant and upsetting experience. I came in to check my eyes and was notified that I will need a new pair of glasses due to an increased in my prescription, which I did. While waiting to finalize paperwork, I asked one of the girl employee if she can tighten my old glasses that I was using. Unfortunately, she broke the frame in the process but promised me that the store will replace a new pairs of glasses for me. I asked "are you sure?" and she said "yes". I asked "are you sure it's free because if it's not then it's ok". I asked this because I was afraid the insurance won't cover since I just got a new pairs of glasses while I didn't want to pay out of pocket. Fortunately, she reassured me that it's free because it's her fault and that I have nothing to worry about. So after finishing all the paperwork I went home. When I came back on Thursday (5/23) or Friday (5/24) to pick up my new glasses, the staff told me the replacement glasses are not ready yet. However, the new glasses's frame broke while I was driving on the freeway on my way to work. That scared me because my vision is 5.25/3.75 so I can't see clearly without my glasses and I was in the middle of the 710 freeway. I took a video and pictures after I exited the freeway then called them as soon as they opened to report the problem. I told them I can't come into the store until Tuesday since my work schedule from Saturday & Sunday was 7-7pm and Monday was Memorial holiday. Finally Tuesday came and I immediately went to the establishment to showed them the broken frame and they agreed to replace it. They also gave me my replacement glasses that their employee broke while adjusting my glasses. However, when I checked out the replacement glasses, I noticed that the replacement glasses does not have the thin lens and the anti-glare like the glasses their employee broke. When I complained, one of their employee said since I didn't do my old glasses from them, they're only responsible to replace a new frames and lens and not the cost to make the lens thin or for the anti-glare. I argued that it's their own fault since they broke my property and they need to replace it the same way as the old glasses. In addition, their girl employee that broke my glasses told me after she broke it that I will receive a new glasses like same as my old one "free of charge". However, they put in a prior authorization to my insurance to cover for the broken glasses so technically they didn't pay anything. The girl employee that refused me told me she is a professional whose cut and prepare glasses. I asked multiple times to speak to a manager but she told me she has the authority to handle my complain. I am tired of going back and forth with her so now I'm just writing this review while waiting for my glasses that has the frames broken. I have been wearing glasses for more than 30 years and this is the first time I have ever received such callous treatment from an optometrist office. I hope their "real" management read this and talk to their employees how to treat the customers respectfully. Also, if the establishment damage a person's property, they should replace it the same as the one that they damaged. I chose Carson Vision due to reading many positive reviews about the establishment comparing to many other different optometrist offices within the area. I only came here when I need a new pairs of glasses. But after this unpleasant experience, I will need to look for another optometrist office that has better customer service and does not show attitude while talking to their customer. read more

The Optometrist and her staff are very attentive and they give special care to my daughter

Been coming here for years however the past 3 years there has been either issues with their online appt system or worse is the untimeliness of them keeping your appt. Last year I had to reschedule after waiting 20 mins with an appt on the books. My return appt was slightly better but I still had a wait. This year I waited 10 mins which was better but I also came early by 7 mins and no one touched base to say it'll be x mins more. Instead as usual, I have to ask even when I'm the only one sitting waiting. Despite preliminary exam work, mine included, patients sit in rooms waiting to be fully examined. This only trickles to the front and impacts the back for those needing vision updates. This place either needs a better appt system, another optometrist or someone to work quicker. The former two will fix the issue as I don't really want someone to rush my eye exam. Add to this a very reduced selection of frames and there's no real reason to have to go through this. I'm going to have to find a different Optometrist at this Tate. My time is valuable. There just has to be a better way. read more

Came in for an appointment, and I usually see Dr. Nguyen who is amazing, but was assigned Dr. Ho. I felt like my issues were just glazed over and not really addressed. Also, Dr. Nguyen usually asks me to read the last line, fourth line, etc of letters which Dr. Ho did not do. I also tried to explain before changing the lenses on the last test, my right eye couldn't see clearly and when she would close the left eye, I REALLY couldn't see through the glass. Despite my concerns, Dr. Ho prescribed glasses, didn't explain what changed in my vision, or even when/how often I should be wearing my glasses. All she said is maybe because I have dry eyes my vision could change, and when I asked for samples or recommendations for eye drops, she gave me a pamphlet. Dr. Nguyen on the other hand usually asks my occupation, seeing if I'm on the computer, or doing eye-straining activities. She also always tells me when and why I will be wearing glasses WHEN I need them because in the past I've had 20/20 vision, but need glasses for reading or when I'm on the computer for a long time. Would hate to have to stop going to Carson Vision, since I've been going their since I was a kid but maybe it's time for a change. I also received email and text message reminders to make an appointment but I don't think the office uses that system since someone needs to confirm the appointment on their end. read more

My family and I have been coming here for all eye appointments and glasses for years. It's a friendly and clean environment. Rowena helped me throughout my appointment and went over all the paperwork. She also did an awesome job showing me the glasses I was interested in and made some recommendations as well. She told me that sunglasses frames can be converted back to their original lens for free (when I change my frame in the next year or so). I had an appointment today and Amber is really awesome. She's very professional, friendly and she kept checking up on me. I really love this optometrist because even though I live 45 min away, the service and warmth is why I keep coming back every year. My doctor was really friendly and professional too, she made me feel comfortable and was very thorough with my exam. I've been going to Carson Vision for years & have never had any issues. Earlier this month i made appt for 2/12. I called yesterday to see if I could reschedule to today (2/10). The lady on the phone scheduled me for 1:30pm, which I accepted, and when I tried to voice a concern I had, she quickly brushed it off at rushed me off the phone. I didn't care too much since I would be coming in anyway. Today I showed up on time at 1:30pm for my appt. one of the girls comes up to take my temperature & checks me in. She then has me sit in one of the chairs so I can wait to be called back. After several employees walking by (& 30 mins later) I was finally called back at 2:00pm. The lady who took me back did the pre-screening & had me take a seat to wait for the doctor. At 2:20pm the same lady called me into the room where the exam would take place. She then proceeds to tell me that the photos she took during the pre-screening "aren't showing up for some reason" & asked if I could come back later in the day because the doctor goes on her lunch at 2:30pm. I told her my appt was at 1:30pm & she asked ME why it took so long to be called back. SHE was the one who called me back so I'm not sure what took HER so long. She said she could "squeeze me in" the same day, but I asked to be seen when the doctor comes back from lunch which was at 3:00pm. I came back at 3:00pm & was seated right away. The doctor came in & did the exam quickly. I apologized to HER for cutting her lunch short although my appt was scheduled for 1:30pm. She said that the schedule was full. I ended up leaving around 3:15pm. Big waste of time. Unprofessional staff. read more

First time ever coming here! My son was prescribed glasses. His Raybans were damaged so I called them right away, and asked if they Sold me the display glasses(since the frames were all scratched up) ! I was told to bring them back which I did on 12/4/19. Now I'm here again asking if my sons glasses are ready and was told they aren't ready yet (are you serious it's been over 3 weeks now) I was told to call Frank (manager) which he should be here tomorrow 12/15/19. Meanwhile I'm here checking on my sons glasses because I haven't received an update since my daughter was scheduled an appt at 4. I came in at 310 to start paperwork it's now 512 pm, and I'm still waiting on the doctor to see my daughter! This is insane! The receptionist Amber is terrible. She has the worst attitude I have ever encountered in a professional workplace. She had an attitude with me because I did not remember if I brought my glasses case or not which is a ridiculous reason. I may escalate the issue higher up because she has had an attitude ever since I have been having problems with my first frames. I don't know if it is a race issue or she is just having a bad day. She needs to be educated on proper customer service. Otherwise. It is a great facility and provides nice glasses. I was able to switch my other frames. read more
