Read this before you hire this company. We hired this company to resolve an active rodent and squirrel infestation in our home. What we received instead was weeks of frustration, conflicting information, and zero results. They came out three separate times to trap rodents and removed dead animals. We were then told exclusion work was necessary to prevent re-entry. We paid for that work. We were informed the exclusion had been completed- without anyone needing interior access. Days later, when activity continued unchanged, a technician returned and told us he had "just completed" the exclusion work that we had already been told was finished which directly contradicted what I had been told days prior. Despite multiple visits and paying for exclusion, there has been absolutely no decrease in rodent or squirrel activity. We still hear them day and night. Nothing changed. Communication has been just as bad as the results. Calls are not returned. When they are answered, the tone is dismissive and condescending. Our landlord formally authorized them to work directly with me, yet they repeatedly give me the runaround and refuse to provide clear answers. The situation has now escalated to the point where my children and I are dealing with rodent mites-something that happens when infestations are not properly resolved. We paid a significant amount of money for trapping, exclusion, and follow-up. We were told they stand behind their work and guarantee removal. There has been no measurable improvement, no accountability, and no urgency despite the health implications. This has been an incredibly stressful and disappointing experience. If you are considering hiring them for wildlife exclusion, I strongly recommend hiring literally anyone else. read more

If I could give Willards Pest Control 6 stars I would! We reached out to them with a grain beetle infestation in our kitchen. From the very beginning they were great! Scot and Jonathan were the office contact people we dealt with. They were responsive, communicative, knowledgeable, professional and competent. They had follow through as well. They helped us trouble shoot the situation to get to the source of the problem and treat it. They were actually invested in trying help us and they did! The exterminator Mark that they sent was also great! He went above and beyond. He discussed and evaluated the job before spraying. He didn't just show up and "go through the motions" but actually seemed engaged and helped figure out the best plan for spraying. Including suggesting a few additional areas. Which I greatly appreciated! So far they were effective in addressing our issue. When I called up weeks later with some follow up questions. They made themselves available. I feel like you don't get service like this anymore! Which made me want to take the time to write this review. read more

Extremely disappointing experience with this company. Henry's communication has been sub-par and at times unprofessional. Instead of replying to multiple emailed questions, he cold-called me early in the morning to ask if I had checked the traps for him. When I told him the raccoons were in someone's crawlspace, his response was essentially, "That's too bad," and said he wouldn't do anything about it. I asked twice what his plan was for dealing with raccoons that were ignoring the traps, and both times he completely dodged the question. We've a bit of a pest problem in a Apartment building in Seattle. Used other vendors but the response and thought out plan we've seen to date with Willard's has been impressive. Keep up the good work. We seem to be making headway. Steven and Eric have been great to work with, prompt arrivals in their service window, and attention to detail, we haven't seen before with other services. it's a full building plan so it's not the cheapest, but if we get the desired result we'll be in good shape. read more

I disputed a mole service charge because their methods did not work and Willard's never returned my call. I disputed the charge of $278 in October 2022 and credit card reimbursed me the amount. Three months later on January 7, 2023, Willard's used my credit card number without authorization to resubmitted the disputed charge is was credited ($278), and today I contacted my credit card to reverse the charges and to change my credit card company so that dishonest companies like Willard's will not use my credit card number without authorization. read more

Used them for our new home we just purchased for spider treatment but we saw spider web and huge number of spiders everywhere and ended up doing the treatment ourselves that was way more effective compared with this 275 dollar work. Asked specifically what they did but the answer was "We cleaned up the web and applied the product. We never do backyard. Please pay" Highly recommend avoiding them for spider treatment. read more

TLDR; After visiting my house a total of 3 times to try and get the job done, there were still rat droppings in very prominent places in my basement dropping ceiling, which required me to spend hours cleaning myself. Bad communication and lack of attention to detail led me to a lack of peace of mind for my $800. ---------------------------------- I'd like to preface this by saying this review is for a job that they don't normally perform, and usually not in a residence. I hired these guys to clean the drop ceiling in my basement from a previous rat infestation. After the cleaning was done, I noticed that rat dropping had fallen on the wall trim and fireplace mantel during the basement cleaning and were never picked up. I also poked my head above the ceiling panels and immediately saw droppings. They came back out to make another pass. I once again started poking around in the ceiling (the whole point of hiring them was so that could take the ceiling down and do some home improvement stuff without getting rat droppings everywhere) and I again immediately found more rat droppings in the framework of the drop ceiling as well as high up on the edges of the walls. They came out a 3rd time and did ANOTHER pass, and in the end suspected that there were still rats because of some "new" droppings and suggested I put out food to see if there was any activity. I put out food and even a camera down there for about a week, there were no rats and no new droppings. I once again started taking tiles down and immediately found loads of droppings on the drop ceiling frame where the tiles sit. It's obvious to me that either the tiles were never taken down and inspected, or they were taken down and the frame itself was left alone. I have since spent the last 2 weekends cleaning each and every piece of the ceiling myself. This includes soiled insulation at the point of entry as well as contaminated insulation that had been pulled away from a heating duct at some point. (This pulled away insulation also leads me to believe that the crew did not in fact take down any of the tile in that area as the droppings in the insulation would have fallen out.) The team was terrible at communicating what they found and what they had "done", other than saying they had "finished". The only clarity I ever had was when I went up myself and spent hours poking around to see what they did and didn't do. I had concerns that vacuuming up the droppings would kick things into the air that we didn't want to breath in, and I assumed (perhaps wrongly) that anyone doing cleaning like this in a living space would attempt to seal doorway gaps leading into other rooms. This of course, did not happen, and soon after the cleaning, the smell of dust kicked up from the basement started to obviously pervade an area on the main floor immediately around the basement stairwell door. Is it unreasonable to think that when I ask for someone to clean a drop ceiling so that rat droppings don't rain down on me that they would take down all the panels and try to be as thorough as possible? I didn't think so, but I never got a straight answer as to what THEY thought should be done, and the certainly never informed me exactly what they did and didn't do. I hired this because I was wary of the safety concerns of doing this clean-up myself and was looking for peace of mind. Instead I'm left with even more health concerns than when I started. I know these guys don't normally do this kind of clean-up at a residence, but the lack of communication and specifics would lead me to not recommend their services in the future regardless of the project, unfortunately. read more

I have a persistent problem with moles and am fully aware that it may take more than one service call to get rid of them. I will continue to use Willards if the moles return again. A couple of weeks ago we saw what looked like rat droppings in our basement corner. It was a first time we had seen those but we assumed finally rats had gotten in. Willards was recommended by our neighbor who has used them for years. I was able to have them come out in a week. The pest inspector was professional, on time and super honest. He examined the droppings and determined that they were in fact fly larvae. It all clicked. We had a fly infestation right around the time we saw what we assumed were droppings. After spraying the flies were completely gone but the dead larvae remained on the floor. We had left them for the inspector to be able to trace. Honesty and professionalism and a neighbors referral is the reason for this 5-star review. read more

Bee's nest. Bees in the rec room over the garage. Lots. Wife was freaking- it's where our 2 year old plays. Wife demanded immediate eradication. Other company said "Sorry, booked til Monday," and that guy is my friend. Willard's said "2 hours." Sure enough, their man shows up less than 2 hours after I hang up the phone, clean rig, clean cut, polite, explains everything clearly, locates the nest in a tough spot up high in between siding and drywall, uses light insecticide, seals the tiny hole where they accessed, and all bees dead and gone in a couple days. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Had them come out on 9/9 to take care of moles in our front and back yard. Moles were back in 18 hours making twice the mess, and we've had 2-4 new holes every day since. Called to report the next day after the initial work was done, and we were told we could pay 1/2 of the original price to have them come back and try again which would have been $125. We said no. We were told "sorry, no guarantee!" Please please please let our costly mistake not be yours. Do not use this company. read more

I used Willard's for a job of trenching along the side of our house, putting down wire and covering w gravel to keep rats from coming into our house. The charge was $350 an hour for 2 workers. We had a contract for 6 hours or less. I was charged $700 for travel time on a 5 hour job. Travel time was not stipulated in the contract. Because of charging my credit card without my authorization on a previous job I emailed beforehand and asked them to wait for my authorization before charging. They charged me anyway. It has been absolute hell working with the administration of this office!!! The young woman who works in the office is SO PROFOUNDLY TERRIBLE at taking instruction and relaying it that appointments were not set up properly, work was not preformed as requested, and service was not stopped as requested. The request for service to be stopped resulted in service being performed on a house that we no longer lived in. I REPEATEDLY , REPEATEDLY , REPEATEDLY contacted the office to have the final service fee voided because of this error on the part of their staff and it has NOT been taken care of ONE YEAR+ after service!!! I called Willard's for a second opinion. Croach came out first and misidentified the bugs in question and said I needed a year long service contract that would cost over $1,000. Willard's found some dog food that had slid under the stove that acted like bait. They correctly identified our bugs and took care of the issue in one visit for $225. It's been over a month now and the bugs are gone, with the original cause. Thank you Willard's! read more

We have had a terrible experience with this company! We called up and asked for / thought we were getting a free inspection, to determine what actions to take. The guy showed up, walked around on our roof apparently, didn't say he was here. and then they charged us $150 that they had NOT told us about. After we complained, they threatened to hurt our credit rating if we didn't pay!! - our experience is that they didn't do any work, but blackmailed us. read more

I am joining the list of "customers" who feel ripped off by this company. Willard's takes advantage of Seattle mandatory rodent control prior to demolition. They suggest that their service is needed far sooner than it really is. Their contract requires that they take your credit card number, so they just charge it monthly and send an invoice that shows $0.00 due. (Nothing is due because they charge your credit card) I complained and Courtney just responded "you signed the contract!" Unfortunately, I did, because I was misled about the local rodent control requirement. Other pest control businesses don't milk their customers like this. Go elsewhere read more

Rats are not cute, I don't care what the movie says and a name like Willards for a extermination company? Too freaking funny. I love our Willards guys. Yes, he knows his stuff and can think like a rat. We were having an issue and Mark, the guy who came out figured out where the little rat b*stards were coming in and made sure that it was now impenetrable. Later, we had another issue -- roof entry. He walked into our house and noticed that we no longer had a dog or cat. He spent over two hours figuring out where the perpetrator entered and determined where he might be hanging and voila, the next morning we had the culprit. Yes, they are not cheap, but they are awesome. They still come by every few months to bait our outdoor feeding stations, well worth it. read more

Willard's to the rescue! Around the holidays we started hearing this scratching noise at night in our kitchen... it sounded like it was coming from in the floor. I'd stomp over and yell at the noise, but the noise would mock me and start right back up again a few minutes later. I sent my husband down to our crawl space, I was certain there must be a squirrel living down there because whatever was down there was making scratching/chewing noises. My husband found nothing but the noise continued that evening. So I decided to call in the big guns... an exterminator. Willard's Pest Control has a link on their website to request service, so I filled that out and asked that they mercilessly kill whatever was in my crawl space. They quickly returned my email with a call and we set up an appointment. They also gave me a round about price quote, to give me an idea of cost (not nearly as much as I expected, pleasant surprise!) Out came Sokhara, my prince in killing rodent armor! He went down and quickly assessed that we had rats! I have always been a cat owner so I have never had a rodent problem in my home in my entire life. I was shocked another animal would be so brave as to take up residency in a home with two vicious cocker spaniels and a cat! But my babies don't go in the crawl space, so I guess it was silly for me to assume the rodents knew better. Sokhara not only set up traps to get the bastard rodents, he also figured out how and where they were getting in and sealed it off to prevent other rats from coming to the party. He did this all in about an hour's time... I was impressed with his efficiency. Sokhara came out for a second visit and found the trouble rat that had been menacing me, dead in a trap. I felt no pity for the bastard... if you come in to my home uninvited you will not leave breathing. Sokhara reset the traps and came out for a third visit, where there was no more dead rats to be found. We are now rodent free once more! Let this be a lesson to all other rodents: if you try to set up shop in my home I have no problem hiring someone to kill you. I'd hire Willard's Pest Control again... they do excellent work and fairly priced. They were also very good about coming at times that were convenient for me! read more

Sold! :) I called.... they will be out same day w/ a guarantee that if they aren't successful, they will be back free of charge. Impressed. read more

Stay away from this company! What a rip off! I called them after being referred by someone so I didn't read the reviews first, wish I had. They charged me for the inspection then I kept calling for a quote, days later I received the first part of my quote after Courtney in the office sent it to me she said she would get the rest after talking to Chris the one who did the inspection. Needless to say I never heard a thing. I called days later again for a refund for my inspection since there was no follow up and then Scott DeLand the manager started emailing me insisting they did send me a quote. Anyway I've decided not to put my energy into them anymore and they can keep the money and bad karma. But they do awful business and I hope this review prevents this from happening to someone else! read more

Wow, what can I say but THANK YOU, Willard's! I've had Willard's come to our home(s) in Bellevue, Issaquah, and Redmond, for about ten years - first with Scott, who was not only super knowledgeable but as nice as can be. As he moved to the inside job, I had a couple other great Willard's people out, including John. ALWAYS the best service, on time, and always took care of the problem (rats at one home and carpenter ants at the other homes). When I called in for ant service a few days ago, I was so happy to have Scott answer and he scheduled me in right away. Nick just left, and I've got to say - he did a terrific job! He was so thorough, going in to tough spots to make sure there wouldn't be a single issue with ants for a long, long time. He was right on time, very professional, and so great natured! We've had many door to door pest control salespeople come around over the years trying to sell us their services. Honestly, I have to tell them "thanks but no thanks" - Willard's is the only company we'll ever use. They've been around forever, don't try to get us on a long term contract, and every single time we've been so happy with their service, their people, and their price. They're an honest bunch of people, and even though nobody asked us to write this review, we're happy to pass the word around that Willard's is the best! read more

Warning to anyone who may need a report for a real estate transaction, they won't mention it when you call them, they will come out and do the inspection, and then when you get your invoice as proof to a lender, buyer, etc, something like this is what you'll get on your invoice "A visual inspection done on 5/2/19 was limited to the exterior area of the home per pictures sent to our office. No wood destroying organisms were noted in this area at time of inspection. This is/was not a WDO Inspection of the home. Willard's Pest Control does not perform real estate transaction inspections as noted on the original phone call to our office. This invoice does not take the place of nor substitute for a WDO Inspection report." They should tell you when they make the appointment that they don't do WDO inspections instead of making the appointment and then giving you a worthless report. It doesn't make sense that their "report" says that they don't do WDO inspections, but they come out and do a WDO inspection. When I contacted them about it, the manager was very belligerent and said that all Realtors complain about the language on their "report" Perhaps they shouldn't mislead the Realtors. Update, As you can see from the owner's response, he truly is belligerent and makes no effort to resolve the situation. I did hire them and I have the cancelled check and their invoice to prove it. The invoice clearly says that they inspected for WDO and makes no mention of rodents. I would be happy to send a copy of the invoice to anyone who may doubt my word. read more

The service and the success at capturing the target animal was very disappointing. The company was hired to catch a mountain beaver. After over three weeks the company failed to capture the beaver. The initial fee was high ($300) and each visit to check the traps after the first was charged at $125. Traps were checked every 7-10 days, which was too long to adjust the locations to the movement of the beaver. Instead the traps sat in locations not used by the beaver. I suggested moving the traps to better locations but the visit would cost another $125. After my experience, I would never use this company again. read more

We called Willard's Pest Control on a Friday afternoon, after discovering a yellow jacket underground nest. They were able to come Saturday morning. The technician observed the area, located the site of the yellow jacket underground nest, suited up, and sprayed. He was extremely knowledgeable, and careful of our surrounding plants and vegetable beds. He was professional, experienced, courteous, and thorough. read more

This company bought safeguard. We had them out 5 years ago and they did a great job. I noticed some rat activity and had the same tech some out. We found that he had missed closing a spot last time. Set traps, next week closed the hole. Didn't need a third time. I asked for a discount since the service includes 3 visits. 3 days later we hear chewing in the walls. They came back and the rat had been caught. Because the tech missed the hole originally, 5 years ago I asked for a discount and was denied. The tech told them he didn't miss it after he told me he did miss it. I wouldn't be upset if the rat got in through a new hole. This is not how you keep customers happy, returning, or giving great reviews, I'm sure you guys are waiting for this. After already giving you the $$ it's all I can do. read more

Very few were even willing to discuss the matter and none were able to come help us with the problem. I finally found Willard's Pest Control and they took my call, and worked with me to see if they could handle the issue. They sent out a technician same day and solved my "crow in the chimney" problem quickly and affordably. Willard's will be my first call moving forward because of their great customer service, timely response, and willingness to think outside the box to solve even the strangest of problems. This company bought Safeguard Pest Control, which provided great service to us over the past few years. Apparently, they are not interested in keeping those customers. I called for our regular quarterly visit and they wanted to charge 4x what a visit used to cost! Claiming this was a "first visit." Now I have to find another company who actually wants our business. Worst experience ever. Would give zero stars if I could. Very poor communication. Showed up at my house in a day that I did not make an appointment after me communicating with them letting them know I was not available. I've been rescheduled the appointment the service window of eight to 9:00 AM today and when they did not arrive by 9:00 AM, I called to check in because I wanted to walk my dogs. They said they would be here in about 30 minutes and I asked them to call when they were close which they were supposed to do in the first place because I was going to be nearby walking my dogs. They didn't call until after 10:00 AM to tell me they had been here knocking on the door for 45 minutes which was impossible and that they left and were not going to complete the service today after I took an expensive day off of work for this. I hope my property management company chooses to use another company for the future read more

Three some years ago I engaged Willard's Pest Control for an ant problem. I received my first bill, paid it, and so on for their monthly contract for one year. Months later... I received a notice that I had not paid my second installment. I replied with a copy of the cancelled check. I completed my one year contract and did not review. Then I started getting emails and calls that I still owed them about $75 for this supposed unpaid second installment. I reviewed the situation with each caller to finally giving up and blocking their emails and calls. At one point I told a caller THEY had become way the bigger pest problem than any issue I could have ever called about. I have just received a collection notice with a $20 'interest' added fee. I am going to pay it. I give. But they lose as far as anyone who reads this has been warned. read more
