Dirty rug! Filthy entrance way. Needs a really good cleaning from top to bottom. The server was really good. She did a great job. Everybody was smiling and happy however, workers behind the counter were on their phones rather than cleaning the filth. We had a super meal at 3:30 today (Sunday). Place was busy when we arrived, good sign. Service was A+. We got the three meat plate, which comes with two sides. We added an extra side. Also got a Coke and two glasses of white wine. Total with tax but before tip - an extremely reasonable $46. Brisket: Good mix of lean and fatty. Bark was super. A. St. Louis Ribs: My fiancé loved them. They looked a tad dry to me. A- maybe. Jalapeño/cheese sausage: Nice texture, plentiful jalapeños. A-. Collard greens, broccoli, mac and cheese were all A's. There were two sauces on the table, both very good. The presentation - all of the items neatly arranged on a metal tray - was even thoughtful and appealing. 14 bones is one of my favorite places in Vero Beach to eat. As a result, my wife catered my 60th birthday party from there. The food was delicious and plentiful. They provided everything including: food, ice tea, ice, rolls, cutlery, etc. in addition to all that, at the last minute we realized that we didn't have any sterno for our serving trays. We called them and they gladly supplied 8 sterno's for $24.00, a very fair price. The food was delivered on time by the manager Brian. He was very helpful and my wife said he was also very helpful when she went in the restaurant to order the food. I would highly recommend this venue for a great dinner or for any catering needs that you may have. read more

I visited with a large group of adults and teens a few days ago. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated very quickly. We were greeted promptly by our server, who was friendly and efficient during our entire visit. We ordered corn nuggets for the table and they were delicious. I ordered the veggie wrap, which was filled with rice, mushrooms, grilled onions, and broccoli. They grilled the actual wrap as well, so it is nice and toasty. I didn't ask for a sauce, but I did enjoy the wrap with a little bbq sauce. Balsamic glaze would have also paired well with this wrap. My daughter ordered the brisket tacos and loved them. The salsa is a little spicy, so she ordered that on the side. The fries are thick, crispy, and well seasoned. The ribs, burger, wings, and buffalo shrimp were also loved by the table. The stand out side dishes, other than the fries, were the coleslaw and mac and cheese. We will definitely return on our next trip through Vero Beach! read more

This is a very casual BBQ place in Vero Beach, Florida. They have booths and tables (inside and out). They have a website, with the full menu. One can order ahead and pick up through a drive-thru. They offer turkey, chicken, pork and brisket bbq, as well as steaks, burgers, wings, salads and sandwiches. The bbq'd meats were quite good. I could even taste some spicy kick to their rub. Their mac and cheese side was a tad cold and the Texas toast was a bit limp, but all other sides were great. The staff is very attentive. Most of bbq items were reasonable, the steaks were priced considerably higher. We did appreciate that they put a QR code on the bill, so one can pay with their phone and then leave. We ate here at the recommendation of the Disney Resort nearby and it was a great choice. They accommodated our party of 10 (including 3 kids) without blinking and everyone found something to their liking on the menu. The brisket was fabulous, sausage was excellent and ribs were flavorful (and the mac n cheese received high ratings too)!! Our server was patient and friendly, especially with our large, multigenerational group., When I called later to ask about a minor error on the receipt, they fixed it immediately and were super pleasant about it. Ate here on several occasions while working in VB and never had a bad meal. Lunch or dinner, always high quality BBQ and top-notch service. Have had a couple sandwiches and a full meal, and always a great experience. Can highly recommend the Hawg Attack sandwich, the sausage in top really makes this stand out. Sauces are good, with a hot version available. My only complaint is that I was expecting a little more spice and flavor from the red beans & rice, which turned out to be rather boring. read more

The food was not par. It did not taste well. The brisket was ok but I just tasted the sauce. The food in general looks appealing but it didn't taste that well. The service was really quick which I'm happy about, however we could implement some safety measures so that way these waitresses don't get hurt while carrying plates with bare hands. We have been customers of 14 Bones for years and we're never disappointed, until last Monday night. The food was not just ordinary and disappointing, it was bad. An order of Mahi Mahi was so dry it led you to believe you'd bitten into cardboard. The baked beans, which in the past were outstanding in flavor, were now less tasty than canned beans. Even the coleslaw tasted wrong. Others in the party of four had baby back ribs , which were also sub par. Not enough sauce during cooking and overcooked and dry. Not bad. The food is good. Best rice and beans I've tasted from an American restaurant. The mac and cheese was way too salty, but it's white mac and cheese which is different and personally better. The sweet tea was perfect, not too sweet. The meat looked good and most said it was good. We had this catered to us and it was enough for everyone. read more

Had dinner at Wilkes last night for the first time and it certainly will not be our last. We chose corn nuggets for an appetizer which came out piping hot, dusted with powdered sugar, and had two cups of honey mustard on the side. Delicious. For our dinners, hubby and I both chose the baby back rib combo with brisket. Ribs were fall off the bone tender and moist. Brisket was a dream! Tender, juicy and flavorful with a kiss of smoke. We saw many people getting mountain sized burgers and sandwiches that looked amazing and we can't wait to bring the whole family back to try a bit more. read more

Been jonesin for some BBQ and I saw good reviews so I decided to try it. Used their online menu and ordered their small 2 meat meal. Got 2 ribs n pulled pork, baked beans n sweet potato fries. Their side choices are huge by the way. The ribs were tender but not as meaty as some, pulled pork was moist n delicious. BB's were tasty and the fries were good not great. Wonderful BBQ We've eaten a lot of BBQ in the USA and this is some of the best we've eaten! My husband and I shared a whole rack of the Signature spare ribs (dry rub) and two sides (coleslaw and baked potato). The ribs were sensational - they were seasoned to perfection, succulent and the meat was falling off the bone. We enjoyed the sides and the house made sauce was delicious too! Ordered take out Full entree brisket Full entree pulled chicken First impression ( when I placed my order with young very inexperienced person ) was awful . Made us feel like they had better things to do than helping us pick the appropriate entree ... thumbs down ! but consider the age . Brought food home . The brisket entree contained 95 % fat ! Extremely disappointed ! Felt like who ever prepared my entree made sure he placed all the fatty pieces in my order . Full entree pulled chicken was cooked in some kind of stew . Awful tasting ! Maybe this was a bad night but probably should give a 2. We had 2 small BBQ platters to go on 3/3 thru drive thru....1 platter had macaroni and cheese and the other platter had brunswick stew and collard greens.....On both platter we received the bbq they you would normally discard if smoking a pork. It was fatty and a little greasy. That went in the trash...I have ordered the brunswick stew a couple times before but this one was really thick and didn't taste good and it went in the trash....Collard greens are normally really good but had more pork than greens. The Texas Toast was really good. I dont't think I will try again as the time before wasn't very good but in the past I have had real good food so I tried again. Big mistake... read more

First time for dinner. You walk in the door and it smells amazing and the staff are very nice. This is a restaurant that has a bar in it. Enough choices for beverages because that's not really why we are here. We had 1/2 racks and sides of collard greens, rice & beans, fried corn on the cob, coleslaw, and green beans. Lots of food and all very very good. It all came with a toast which was good but we left the majority of the bread to focus on the rest. We thought the service was good, background music was good and the prices weren't out of line. We will definitely come back. read more

My parents invited me to this place and I have to say even though my ribs had a char taste to them, like charcoal taste because they had maybe been left to long or the flame was to high. The meat fell right off the bone and the sauce helped. But I took several ribs to go and had them 2 days later and I was impressed they still had great flavor. This was our first visit here, and it was okay. Don't get me wrong, our service was great! The food however, not so great. The onion rings are battered with corn meal, which I'm not too fond of, but that's a personal preference. I got the pulled pork & brisket and they were dry, and the brisket tasted like a crock pot roast. The fried corn on the cob was soggy and had way too much butter on it. The collard greens had no flavor, so I asked for red vinegar & all they had was malt vinegar.
