Stopping at Walking Tree Brewery was one of the highlights of a recent visit to Vero Beach. This is a really nice operation with a huge inside the features cornhole and darts as well as live music in the evening on weekends. There's also a small deli (Salvadore Deli) in the back. Such an awesome brewery up in Vero. A massive warehouse style brewery with a ton of room for everything. The beer quality is excellent, with some great variety. Visiting my brother in law in Vero. He took is to this establishment. It is converted warehouse, large open area and a brewery to make all the beer they serve. One area is filled with liquor barrels. Large spread tables and chairs. A little noisy, but not bad. The surprise, is a neat little deli. Salvador Deli. Food is excellent. Had the sausage and peppers sandwich, my wife had meatballs in sauce and bread. Everything look delicious. A wide selection of beers and they do have soda and tea in bottles and cans. I've become somewhat of a regular as I come here every Thursday to participate in a 5K run with Walking Tree's very own running club Stay Rooted. Fun group of people. On to the actual review. The staff is really cool and they're always super friendly. Place is kept clean and it's always packed. The brewery itself does not have a kitchen so they don't served food but there is usually a food truck parked outside that serves really good tacos. The beer selection is really good. Can't go wrong with the drafts and they do offer samples if you are curious to try a beer before you purchase one. My favorite has to be the beatin' around the bush a citrus lager. Went here twice over MLK Weekend, Friday and Sunday with my parents and my nephew Sunday to watch the Pats game. The bar has a great selection of beers and games to play including cornhole, darts, and the hook game. LOVE this place!! I'm not a local to Vero, just travel here yearly for work and I ALWAYS come here multiple times during my trips. Parking is decent, lots of lawn overfill space. The building is hugeeee. Environment is so welcoming to all and there's handicap access on the right side of the building. Service is always awesome, great communication with the different style of beers they brew. They have a small selection of wine and ciders as well which I enjoy their ciders too outside their beers. They do have 2 non-alcoholic choices as well which makes me happy cuz sometimes I do enjoy a NA. Haven't had their food so will have to update that next year haha read more

First visit and an excellent experience! Tried several of their brews and they range from very good to outstanding. The place is located in an old military outpost building, which is huge with authentic wood ceiling beams. The bar is handcrafted out of a single piece of wood and it's very impressive. This Brewer does things right, from the beer to the atmosphere, to the merchandising, and the staff - everything was on point. They do offer some snacks as well as a full-service food truck, which I assume are on rotation. Dogs are not welcome at this establishment, which is understandable. I've seen more than enough dog fights, dogs nipping people, and obnoxious dog barking at too many venues lately to say "folks, love your dogs, but leave them at home"! read more

Stopped by on a late Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised at the fun assortment of beers they had. I enjoy a good sour and saw they had a few. I ended up ordering the one that has guava in it (the name escapes me now...) and would stop by again just to drink it. My friend got the flight- five 2oz glasses for only 10 bucks, I'm thinking I'll need to try that next time. Fun atmosphere with darts and some other games. First of all the bartenders here are awesome and super friendly. Then there are the beers. Yum! Where to start! I really enjoyed Le Frog! Delicious! But then there was Stay Frooted and Peach Buddies......oh and then the Limey which tasted like a Key Lime Pie. They definitely know their sours. Heavenly! I also enjoyed the Volksmarsch which, in a completely different direction as an Oktoberfest beer, was delicious in it's own right. The bar and seating area is super inviting and we visited between Christmas and New Year's Day and the holiday decor was warm and inviting. The restrooms are industrial but clean. I highly recommend and I am looking forward to when their beers are easy obtainable all over the state (which they are working on) and available in Gainesville. As our final brewery stop of the treasure/space coast brewery trek on which we had embarked, Walking Tree was a good one to conclude. The feel and aesthetic resemble Due South Brewing's original taproom and production layout in Boynton Beach of South Florida. On this balmy evening, we made our way to their location that was initially the site of an old aviation warehouse from World War II. You do feel the history when you walk through the spacious taproom and past the vast area where they produce the beer, as well as into the private tasting room. Being that it was our final stop after going to multiple breweries, between the Melbourne and Vero Beach areas, I kept my drink order to one flight. I ordered a Sassy Flamingo tart cherry fruit beer, a Beach Buddies sour Berliner Weisse, a Sunny T fruited sour beer, and a Nitro Babycakes oatmeal stout. Out of the four, the Beach Buddies was the best -- light, refreshing, and citrusy. The Sassy Flamingo was decent but felt it could have a little more blast of cherry on the finish, while the Sunny T was solid as well. The Babycakes wasn't as tasty as I anticipated, but the nitro pour did give the stout a light creaminess. The brewery had a festive and busy vibe, with a bunch of people chilling at the bar and some of the tables near the stage. A band played some Grateful Dead-like jam music as we kicked back and enjoyed the beers. Some families played cornhole, while others bounced back and forth to the bar for ordering more beers. Additionally, I dug the entrance, which had a charming, woodsy design. Being that there are only a few breweries on the Treasure Coast, Walking Tree is a must to check and hang out if you live in the area or looking to compare the beers to others you've frequented. read more

Great stouts! Hello babybcake. In town from just a bit south for a staycation with the wife. We love hitting local breweries so we went on a Tuesday night to play trivia. They also had a VW car show going and a taco truck. First we each had a flight and as my tastes are evolving and the winter months, I'm finding myself more and more into stouts and porters. I absolutely loved their babycakes stout so much I had 1 (or ok 2) more. The place is what a brewery should be, just a chill vibe. We ending up connecting a few regulars to play trivia and had an amazing time. Tess... Tess... Tess is the best.  So you might ask what makes a great brewery experience? Great beer of course, but great people make it better. Walking Tree has both. We showed up late on a Wednesday night about 2 hours before closing. There were a few clusters of people drinking or playing some of the games like cornhole or darts. The bar was directly in front of us as we entered the ramp to the main entrance. I was really impressed by the walking tree art throughout the brewery and the tree that they have in an aquarium. I think it was an example of a walking tree. It is a warehouse and huge. This would be a great place for groups or to work. Cool games, great beer and free wifi. It doesn't have air conditioning, but they have huge fans blowing which kept it cool enough. I would imagine it could get pretty hot in there with the 90 degree weather we've been having. We did a flight of most of the beers and sampled a few of the others. I made a list of the beers below, based on my pallet. The star of the show was a barrel aged Barnacle Manatee. Very cool brewery in Vero. The bartenders and staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. I think on this particular day there was a lot of activity going on (filming a commercial) Everyone was friendly and the beer was very good! I tried the baby cakes (excellent) and the Frog saison , which was the xcellent. The atmosphere is very cool and is great for a big group of people as there are many games and lots of space. I came by the brewery on 8/24/2024 and when I approached the bar I showed the bartender that I had a BOGO offer via the Treasure Coast Ale Trail app and placed my order for a beer. I ordered another and afterwards went to cash out my tab. The bartender ran my credit for 2 beers at $7.50 each and I advised him of the error. He reran my credit card for one beer at $7.50 which I signed that receipt and left. I received a notification from my credit card company a charge came in for $15.00 and I disputed the item with them. I received a voice mail from the brewery on 9/10/2024 regarding the charge back, however I did not return the call as the normal protocol is for the merchant to work out the issue with his/her bank and the customers bank. I came into the brewery on 10/11/2024 with some friends for a beer and listen to the musical entertainment for the night and upon approaching the bar was told my an employee that I had been 86 (no longer welcomed/banned from the establishment) by the owner, Mike Malone. I asked him why? He just said the owner said so. Needless to say I was shocked, embarrassed and totally blindsided by this as this happened in front of my friends and other customers around me at the bar! I have been to this brewery many times over the years and only had 1 other credit card charge discrepancy in which it was resolved amicably. I thought this was a VERY extreme response from the owner and cannot believe all this over a $7.50 tab!! I have many other places to go where I can enjoy a beer/entertainment and not have to deal with this kind of issue. Just an FYI to ANYONE who pays a tab with a credit card, take a photo of the signed receipt and compare it when it hits your credit card account to insure you are charged what you signed for! read more
