Stopped in to check on one of our go to places. Recently transitioned to new ownership, it was nice to see two of our regular waitresses there. After beers were ordered and delivered we passed the appetizers and went right to lunch. My wife n I split the Rachel pastrami sammich our friends got a Rueben and the Irish Dip. Shortly afterwards our sammiches were served and it was nice that they split our Rachel. Hot n tasty stacks of pastrami n Swiss cheese n special sauce. And our tots were hot n crunchy n yummy. The ambience as we entered was quiet at the bar we were seated at a table by the bar. Our waitress was Katrina who was completely wonderful with a great personality. We ordered sausage for our appetizer which was absolutely Great! My husband had the cheddar meatloaf my son the smashed burger and I had exceptional garlic Parmesan with carrots and celery with some dressing. I was extremely happy my husband thought it was heavenly and the portion was huge and he took home half the meal I too took half home. My son thought his dinner was OK. BUT ate it all. I came here last night after craving a burger and I saw on their online menu that they offer black and blue chips. I went in and sat at the bar. Place was not as busy for a Sunday night. So the ambiance was quiet. The burger was cooked medium well and that was the best thing of the night. The black and blue chips however were very salty and I could not finish them. I let my server know and I had requested that she not escalate it, or comp it from my bill. Instead I was given a voucher to free appetizer on my next visit. I appreciate the gesture and it was nice of her, i may come back and get something else. read more

Came in for dinner tonight and it was great! We had the fish and chips - fresh, yummy, crispy and moist at the same time! Soooo good! And the fries were awesome, too! Started with the beet salad which was incredibly delicious! The place has a new owner and apparently a new chef, but they're committed to keeping the menu favorites. Making a bunch of stuff in-house that they used to bring in from the outside - including the key lime pie which was amazing!!! Our server Christina was just delightful and rounded out a great visit! A very nice place to have a meal and drink. My friends warmly greeted us upon arrival and brought us here for dinner. Some sort of musical bingo was going on and the bar was busy. Loved it. We took my cousin to the Sean Ryan Pub yesterday for St. Patrick's Day. As expected, it was crazy crowded with those who are Irish or just Irish for the day. They had the strangest method for the wait list for a table. They didn't ask for our name, just the last 4 numbers of our cell phone. Not the whole number, no name, just the last 4 numbers. Weird. How is that possibly going to work? Take the number and text when the table is ready. Many other restaurants do it. We waited and waited and waited. Finally, my wife noticed that a couple that arrived half an hour after us was being seated. And we checked. They weren't seating at a 2 top, but at a 4 top. While we were waiting (and we were close to the hostess stand) we got drinks from the bar. No Guinness Zero. No Heineken Zero. It's St. Patrick's and I'm drinking a Stella Zero. Unacceptable. Finally we get seated. Waitress was nice. We started with Pretzel Bread - we were starved at this point. It was very good. Served with beer cheese. Very good. We all ordered Corned Beef and Cabbage. Came very quickly. First off, no Irish Soda Bread! Really?!? At an Irish Pub. I thought the Corned Beef, Potatoes and Cabbage were pretty good. My wife thought the Corned Beef lacked taste (not enough fat) and had an off flavor. We all agreed that the carrots were GROSS. Those so-called Baby Carrots - boiled and served. Come on! It's a restaurant. Cook and serve some proper carrots. It was also a very limited menu. I can understand that on a day like St. Patrick's. But no Shepherds Pie!! My wife was very disappointed. Oh, and plastic knife and fork! And finally, the music. Not Live. A DJ. Which was fine, but the volume was ear splitting! My Apple Watch kept on going off with warnings. We were met at the door by a completely disinterested young woman that barely acknowledged us. Ordered food that arrived 45-50 minuted later. 2 out of four meals were wrong!!! We walked into Sean Ryan's Pub and stood by the hostess stand. There was no sign to indicate "seat yourself " or "wait to be seated." After at least 5 minutes, someone came out and motioned across the restaurant to seat ourselves. As it turned out, the bartender was serving bar and tables. After the little seating dust up, he provided excellent, friendly service. I had fish and chips. The fish had a delicious crispy crust and flaky, moist white fish inside. My wife had a club sandwich which was plentiful and tasty. We got a Rueben Sandwich and tater tots to go. I reheated it for my daughter when she got home from work and she loved it. I am looking forward to returning to try other menu items. If you're in the area, stop in. You won't be sorry. read more

I came in for a quick meal and ordered hot wings and a water. Two of the flats had a funny taste and had a pungent aroma of old spoiled meat. To be fair the rest of the order were fine. I informed the bartender as this could severely injure an older guest. He could care less and seemed like this was a normal complaint for the restaurant. It's a pretty nice pub honestly ... standard good food, good drinks and friendly people. The atmosphere is a local vibe with an Irish twist. Good music also. Definitely a steady group of locals in and out and wasn't a single time it wasn't pretty full. I didn't give it a 5 due to some of our food being a tad warm vs hot. Took a little while to get waited on and then to get our servers attention, but that doesn't stop us from enjoying the place and no reason to give it a poor rating. They were just understaffed. This is a bar that serves food. We went there St Patrick's week for corned beef and cabbage. Not hard to mess up right? Wrong. Worst I've ever had. The corned beef was unbelievably tough. The cabbage was undercooked. The only redeeming factor was the service was great. Unless you're only going in for a drink, don't waste your time or money. read more

I've been to Sean Ryan Pub twice My first experience was a solid 3 stars. I ordered the stuffed meatball from the specials menu and the Irish Sausage Rolls. The stuffed meatball was served piping hot all the way to the center which was surprising and impressive considering the size and density of the meatball. Enjoyed my experience so much I told friends we should go to Sean Ryan for more happy hour specials... I was so excited to take my parents to Sean Ryan's based on the experience I had. The second visit was also a solid 3 stars however-at the completion of the meal we had a major issue. My mother ordered the corn beef and cabbage-one of the potatoes served had a large brown spot in it when she sliced it in half. She politely told the server, and returned just the potato (not the whole meal) to the kitchen. It was a non issue-she just wanted the kitchen to know. The server was polite and took the potato away. We were finishing our meal and deciding about what to take home and whether or not to order dessert when a man came to our table-he identified himself as Sean, the son of the owner of the restaurant. Sean was rude and aggressive-he stated that he was proud of the restaurant and the food they served yet he was literally yelling at us over a potato. It wasn't an issue until he made it a huge disrespectful one. We will never return. Which is sad because we were literally sitting at the table discussing the Wednesday burger and bingo and coming back for the delicious meatball. He even said "I hope you'll give us another chance" after last night-the answer is a definite No! read more

We've been a total of 4 times and have always ordered food and sat at the bar. Though I'm a fan of sitting at the bar because you usually receive better service, but this is not the case for Sean Ryan's Pub. The bartenders, though friendly when they finally make it over, just don't seem to pay allot of attention to the customers. On our last visit there was an additional beer on the bill that I never received. The food has always been very good. We've yet to eat there and have a complaint about the food. My wife absolutely loved her Beef Stew as well as the traditional Corned Beef. The atmosphere is fun and they have good Happy Hour specials and ongoing ones as well, but don't expect the bar staff to advise you, so unless there is a sign posted you'll never hear about the specials. Let's start with Ryan who greeted us followed by Shannon , our server, providing exceptional service! Atmosphere was super cool with great art and paraphernalia that was eye candy in this super authentic Irish Pub style restaurant. The Guinness was ice cold as well as my Stella. Let's talk food... Mussels were perfect with a great wine and lemon broth. We always forgo the tomatoes and these were delicious. Sausage Rolls were just spectacular! Must have appetizer if you like bangers! The Meatloaf was moist and while we swapped some sides it was perfect for my husband. Mom devoured her short ribs quicker than a 1/4 sprint. My Shepherds Pie was the perfect comfort dish leaning heavy on the lamb. I was wishing for some carrots but no complaint as I am sated. No room for dessert but so thankful to have made it to Sean Ryan's. A true gem and an excited to visit again for trivia, bingo or another event night. Great food, great selection of cold draft beer and excellent service. Been here a few times and always order the Shepards Pie. It's a local Irish pub, and looks to have plenty of repeat customers. Server remembered my beer preference on my 2nd visit. My colleagues always order wings, and they are large and meaty, and the sauces are reported to be excellent. I'm just not a wing guy. My Shepards Pie has been flavorful and perfectly baked. Thursday is $.75 wing night and 8 wings appears to be a winning number. Have also had the Truffle Fries, which I can highly recommend, as well as the Key Lime Pie, which is made in-house. A mainstay in the rotation when I'm in town. read more

Sean Ryans offers great food in a fun atmosphere. Love going for trivia night or the live music, but the best part is definitely the food. One of our favorites is the cheddar meatloaf. It is absolutely delicious & at least one of us always orders it. In addition we ordered the special bone-in short rib with mashed potatoes & upgraded to a Caesar salad. Also ordered a patty melt on rye with fries. Everything was fresh & tasty. The short rib was amazing, & I look forward to ordering it again.
