Came here for my best friends birthday and it was a wonderful time. The setting was very pleasant. La Toya was a fantastic server. Started with the soup. It was very good! Just a tad salty to my liking but I would definitely order it again. For my entree I got the salmon. It was very good. Green beans cooked perfectly how I like it. & the salmon was tasty and a good size. The tomatoes and mozzarella cheese were different but I loved it. Good pairings. This place is super cute for date night I would take my boyfriend here in the future. read more

Well I can't remember this name. But the location and cuisine I can sure remember. My wife and I went together Saturday night. First time for me. Not my wife. Greeted very nicely and didn't need a reservation. Nice menu. Didn't feel rushed to order. My wife ordered a carpaccio appetizer to start. Very rare to find this dish Perfectly sliced. I got Raw Gulf oysters. Very tasty. Dinner came we really enjoyed the Epic burger and Gorgonzola flat bread. ! The owner suggested and checked on our meal. She recommended the homemade Ranch dressing for my potatoes. What a score. ! Great suggestion from the heart. We will be back read more

I feel as if this place is Vero's version of the emperor's clothes. Lots of hype, but no substance. We were beyond excited to go having read their reviews, but our actual dining experience was the worst either of us could recall. Service was just awful and the food was mediocre, at best. Won't be back. read more

Been here several times now. Certainly a hidden gem. We've always sat outside so I can't speak to the inside, but we've always enjoyed our time listening to the acoustic music and enjoying the outdoors. Their food is always fantastic, with new specials appearing every time we visit. Our servers have always been fantastic and helpful. Certainly will be back for more! read more

My family and I have gone to Tuohy's about four times now. Each time the staff was very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was comfortable. The menu had a variety of options. If they have the empanadas, definitely get those. We have tried the short rib ones, which are amazing. The bramble cocktail they make is also very good. The entrees that I have had were tasty and well-portioned. Sitting outside with live music is also nice when it's not too hot out. We look forward to going back. read more

Best smash burger in Vero! Don't sleep on their soft pretzels and truffle beer cheese either: delicious. The vibes offer an upscale ambiance with a downtown feel. The service is a great, very friendly. read more

Touhy's Downtown is an absolute gem! The story behind it makes it even more special--three siblings from New York, with no restaurant experience but a deep love for cooking, took a leap of faith and brought their lifelong dream to life right here in Vero Beach. And they nailed it! I recently went with another couple and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant has a warm, welcoming vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating, plus a bar inside and out. The outdoor area is especially beautiful, perfect for enjoying a great meal in the Florida breeze. We were lucky enough to meet one of the owners--a lovely woman who was clearly passionate about their journey and the restaurant. The food--simply outstanding. I had the Country Club wedge salad and the French Quarter Burger, which was hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. Cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and paired with great service, it was a meal to remember. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Touhy's Downtown is a spot you don't want to miss. Great atmosphere, amazing food, and a wonderful family-run feel--what more could you ask for? We'll definitely be back! read more

Also had grouper with the lump crab meat on top with a cranberry smear..fish was glistening & cooked to perfection. Hubby had the meatloaf. This is such a unique twist on a classic..Tasty, moist & nice bites of mushrooms. Highly recommend the mango margarita. I asked for no simple syrup. Fresh tasting, nice little bits of mango.... Waitress was beyond amazing, made recommendations & was very friendly. Highly recommend this place Sit outside for added charm! read more

First time after reading reviews. Dinner was a smash burger(s), two patties! Good and not too big. Menu is "Celtic" w/ some interesting selections. We will be back to try some of those selections. Service was good, no complaints. Ate inside as the porch was hot and muggy but we do want to try that one also. Small bar so get there right at 4:00 if that's your happy hour spot. We will be back. read more

Our first time there. our server T was outstanding. Gave us her opinion on menu items and she was right on. we had triggerfish piccata on mashed potatoes and chicken Milanese. Every bite we kept saying wow. Add in espresso martinis and strawberry cake with cheesecake. I can't wait to go back. read more

Servings were generous, food tasty, large portions. Outstanding service from Latoya! We got there just at opening and then the lunch crowd showed up and was filling up fast! Soft music in the background would be nice so you don't have to listen to the next tables conversations since the dining room is cavernous They do have covered outside seating but the day we were there it was about 82F read more

My new favorite restaurant in Vero. I moved here from Miami 5 years ago, and since that time I have had a hard time finding restaurants I like. Judge if you will, but coming from Miami, the level is high for me. But Tuohy's won me over, after years of trying new and old restaurants in the area.I have not tried them all but I am well on my way. Great food, service and ambiance. Always fresh and flavorful. read more

Meatloaf with coleslaw Smashburger with fries perfect place for lunch in downtown Vero Beach. Happy hour Chardonnay, four dollars.

Last nights dinner was outstanding. First we started with the pickled barrata beet salad. Deliciously fresh and tasty. We also had the blackened chicken, crawfish empanadas. The empanadas crust was cooked to perfection. The filling of blackened chicken and crawfish was a delicious blend of flavors as was the dipping sauce. It was so delicious you could drink it. As the main course I choose the triple tail with capers, mash potatoes, and green beans. The caper sauce was just outstanding. It was done perfectly as capers can make the food over salty but not on this dish. The fish portion was nice size and cooked to perfection as were the green beans. The mash potatoes were creamy and again the perfect flavor and consistency. Great service, perfectly made expresso martini, good wine list will make Tuohy's on my frequent restaurant list. We highly recommend and will return soon. read more

The food was very good. The server was sassy and when she realized she knew us inadvertently she tossed on the charm. It was a chilly night and with the breeze the candles wouldn't stay lite. Either invest in table top battery operated candles or invest in a dimmer light, main dinning room was too dark. Still giving a 5 because the place earned it with service, the presentation, taste of food and cleanliness. Best wishes! read more

Second visit! Ochoa was delicious! Chicken curry salad wrap - the best curry chicken salad I've ever eaten! A touch of heat and lots of flavor! Small tables added for four. Audra said they even added sound proofing- you must stop in for lunch with happy hour or dinner! We had the friendliest server! read more

Went on a weeknight and it was not crowded at all. We sat inside and didn't find it to be noisy as many reviews mentioned. It was clean and tastefully decorated. The waitress was friendly and the service was excellent. I had the cottage pie and it was delicious. The portion was very generous, so I only finished half of it (but I'm not a big eater). We had some oysters on the half shell which were very fresh and tasty. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It is one of the better option for dining in Vero Beach. read more

Went with friends to Tuohy's last night. We had a couple of cocktails at the bar before dinner. The bartenders were all very friendly and the drinks were well served. Moving into the dining room, and anticipating a great meal. Our server was very friendly, taking our appetizer order promptly. We ordered a double order of Gorgonzola egg rolls, which were good, but a bit overdone. We had asked our server to let us get through Apps before ordering dinner, and she accommodated us, even though promising to hold putting in the dinner order until the timing was right. As I am always wary of that happening, she was very good about taking the dinner order a bit later. For dinner, there were two wedge salads with chicken, one double smash-burger and one Guinness Pie. All the food was delicious. I had the Guinness Pie and it was superb. Highly recommend it to anyone! We were beyond full and skipped desert, so no report there. There is also a great outdoor area for dining, if that is what you're after. The only negative takeaway for me is the sound level. It does get a bit loud for intimate occasions. read more

Wow! Let's start with the ambience! Clean, sharp and stunning. (Felt cozy and inviting) The service.. was met with a smile and quickly sat in the best corner seat they had, and was a great view BTW and makes you feel like you're not in vero for your dinning experience. LOVE IT! The food! I kept mine simple just a sausage and peppers flatbread, you would think if they can't get a flat bread right then what about the rest of the menu items? BUT.... POW! Nothing but that sweet and fennel sausage punch to the face (a good thing) would definitely recommend! My wife had the smoke turkey hoagie and the brine of the bird with the smoke of the Gouda took us back to a favorite spot of ours in the mountains of NC. Caesar salad! was crisp and fish funky the way it should be! And to hell with grated cheese they thin slice the parmesan Reggiano (My favorite!) Price!!! When I received the check I was SHOCKED! it's not everyday you eat in vero and have a meal that don't break the bank and send you home disappointed.. That's NOT the case with Chef Touhys place! Thank you Chef and crew we are stoked to have a date lunch/dinner spot! E&M read more

Outstanding food, terrific service, and lots of ambiance, a great place to socialize. Son and I had Grilled Pork Chop, daughter had salmon, and wife had fish tacos. All food tasty, and well prepared, and beautifully presented. Best grilled pork chop I ever had. Fresh Oysters were outstanding and very fresh. Salads and sides very attractive and tasty. Green beans and mashed potatoes A+++! Wife and daughter loved their drinks, they were perfectly mixed and actually had alcohol in them, which can be a rarity in the watered down world. We met the owners and they couldn't have been more friendly and down to Earth. A phenomenal experience all around! Better than 5/5!! read more

This venue is ok. If a bunch of friends told me to meet them there for a meal, I would go but otherwise I wouldn't return. I had Chicken Milanese. It came with a nice sized chicken breast. It was served on top of cold mashed potatoes. My wife had a burger that was ok but unremarkable. For an appetizer, we had a Gorgonzola and beef filled egg roll that was good. We ate with 2 other couples and nobody was overwhelmed by their food. If you're in the area, you might want to try it but if you don't, it's not a huge loss. read more

Lovely ambiance. Excellent service. Devine provisions. Tasty libations. Will definitely visit again

Love this restaurant. Food and service great. However. Two bad experiences with customers. One with his wife very disrespectful detailing his exploits. The other a man insulting me by saying Hope your enjoying your dinner with your granddaughter when in fact I was with my wife. He thought it was funny. I thought disrespectful. Not accepted and I let him know it. I noticed he was also bothering a few young ladies who were celebrating a birthday read more

This was our fifth time here. We've been there for dinner a few times with our family when they visit. Love that they addressed the noise issue so much better now. They revamped their menu I miss the sheppards pie that was my favorite but yesterday while sitting at the bar for happy hour we decided to get the 2 appetizer specials. They were amazing their house made fish dip was delicious but their take on Shrimp and grits was a showstopper OMG. We usually get the egg rolls on the app list but decided to do the specials and they were great. Will definitely go back soon to try some new menu items or some of their specials again. Would love to see the Shrimp and grits app on the regular menu some day it was amazing. read more

Great service. Lady at the bar was amazing Started with the egg rolls. Gorgonzola cheese was strong. So if you like that kind of cheese you will love the egg rolls. For my main dish i had the tripletail picatta. Great crust. Amazing flavor. Green beans wete crispy and had good flavor. Substituted the potatoes with broccoli. Again, good flavor. Plenty of food. Especially for the price. Check this place out. read more

Amazing lunch today. I'm mad I didn't take pictures. I had the white bbq shrimp and it was phenomenal. My husband who is hard to please loved his creamy potato corn soup and vero cheesesteak hoagie. I had to pressure him to share a taste of his soup. I couldn't place the seasoning but boy was it good. Our server was excellent too. We'll be back! read more

First time at Tuohy's . I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The greeter and woman whom showed us to our seats were very pleasant. Our server was very nice. He never introduced himself, so I can't share that. He was great with explaining the specials, and I really liked that we could switch out side dishes. While he seemed very rushed with a bigger table, I noticed the Asian woman outside with a smile at every turn and very composed execution. That's not to take away from our server, he was very good. We really liked our food. Filet Gorgonzola Eggrolls were very good. They were super crunchy. I personally took out a little of the cheese as I thought it overpowered it a bit (my girlfriend liked the ratio of cheese). When I took some cheese out, I thought it was a 10. The salmon dish was really tasty. I asked for medium well, and it was medium, but still delicious. The creamed spinach was good, but would have preferred a bit more spinach to the ratio, but still liked it . The Baileys butter cream chocolate cake was a bit dry, but still ok. Lastly, the ambiance was nice having the option to eat outside or inside. We definitely will go back as we really did enjoy most of every bit of the experience. Looking forward to one of the burgers, they looked delicious. read more

Food and service were outstanding. Generous menu with daily specials. Nice atmosphere and everything clean. We will be back.

Oh my goodness.....probably one of the best hamburgers in all of Vero. I went for lunch with two friends. One had oysters, I don't remember what the other lady had, but I had this huge hamburger and fried. We ate outside on the pleasant covered patio with its fountain. The service was great. Actually, the owner came over to us and said to stay as long as we wanted and kept refilling our glasses. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. Will go back again. read more
