Nice outdoor space which will fill up very soon!

Touhy's Downtown is an absolute gem! The story behind it makes it even more special--three siblings from New York, with no restaurant experience but a deep love for cooking, took a leap of faith and brought their lifelong dream to life right here in Vero Beach. And they nailed it! I recently went with another couple and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant has a warm, welcoming vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating, plus a bar inside and out. The outdoor area is especially beautiful, perfect for enjoying a great meal in the Florida breeze. We were lucky enough to meet one of the owners--a lovely woman who was clearly passionate about their journey and the restaurant. The food--simply outstanding. I had the Country Club wedge salad and the French Quarter Burger, which was hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. Cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and paired with great service, it was a meal to remember. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Touhy's Downtown is a spot you don't want to miss. Great atmosphere, amazing food, and a wonderful family-run feel--what more could you ask for? We'll definitely be back!

Went with friends.. Had Selena's white BBQ shrimp. Absolutely delicious, don't let the BBQ throw u off. This white sauce is beyond decadent. Also had grouper with the lump crab meat on top with a cranberry smear..fish was glistening & cooked to perfection. Hubby had the meatloaf. This is such a unique twist on a classic..Tasty, moist & nice bites of mushrooms. Highly recommend the mango margarita. I asked for no simple syrup. Fresh tasting, nice little bits of mango.... Waitress was beyond amazing, made recommendations & was very friendly. Highly recommend this place Sit outside for added charm!

Flatbread and Caesar salad don't judge me. I'm a good eater, but not a good photographer! Lol

Wow! Let's start with the ambience! Clean, sharp and stunning. (Felt cozy and inviting) The service.. was met with a smile and quickly sat in the best corner seat they had, and was a great view BTW and makes you feel like you're not in vero for your dinning experience. LOVE IT! The food! I kept mine simple just a sausage and peppers flatbread, you would think if they can't get a flat bread right then what about the rest of the menu items? BUT.... POW! Nothing but that sweet and fennel sausage punch to the face (a good thing) would definitely recommend! My wife had the smoke turkey hoagie and the brine of the bird with the smoke of the Gouda took us back to a favorite spot of ours in the mountains of NC. Caesar salad! was crisp and fish funky the way it should be! And to hell with grated cheese they thin slice the parmesan Reggiano (My favorite!) Price!!! When I received the check I was SHOCKED! it's not everyday you eat in vero and have a meal that don't break the bank and send you home disappointed.. That's NOT the case with Chef Touhys place! Thank you Chef and crew we are stoked to have a date lunch/dinner spot! E&M

The kind of selection where you can tell someone actually curates instead of just filling shelves. Dana knows her wines. Full stop. She lined up six different recommendations and every single one stood on its own. No filler pours, no "this one grows on you" nonsense. The Vermentino was crisp and stupidly easy to enjoy, and the Ca' Montebello was a standout. Balanced, interesting, and gone way too fast. The vibe is relaxed, welcoming, and refreshingly unpretentious. You can taste, ask questions, and actually enjoy the process without feeling rushed or talked down to. If you're deciding between this spot and the competition down the street, take the hint and come here.

Vibe: About one block from the beach, this place is hidden on the main road. Nice and cozy, there was still plenty of seating and for our group. Locals and regulars kept stopping by to speak with the owner and check out the wines available (or say hello to her pup). You can tell this is definitely a great place to kick back and relax with a good glass of wine. Wine: There was a very good selection of wines available. Reds, whites, rose, and even a few beers, there was something for everyone. My wife and I had a glass of white wine from New Zealand. The wine was perfect. Service: We met Dana the owner and were extremely well taken care of! She was knowledgeable with the wines and extremely happy to with anyone who walked in. Overall this place was perfect for a quick glass of wine off of the beach or a laid back hangout with locals. I would HIGHLY recommend everyone give this place a try!

We arrived around 1:00 PM and happened to be the first people there, which was nice. The indoor ambiance is very casual. It's not really a place for large groups or gatherings, but it's great for a small group looking to grab a drink. Now for the service. Our server, who was also the bartender and chef, was incredibly accommodating, quick, and provided AMAZING service given the circumstances, so kudos to her. That said, she was the only person working in the entire establishment that day. While it was manageable when it was just our party, once more guests started coming in it was clearly overwhelming. She ultimately had to close the kitchen, which was understandable, but it happened before everyone in our group was able to order food. That left us in an awkward situation where we had to leave and go elsewhere so the rest of our party could eat. We still had a great time and enjoyed our drinks, and this is absolutely not a reflection on the server at all. This falls on management or ownership. Staffing only one employee the day after Christmas is something that really needs to be reevaluated. I genuinely felt bad for her.

After a long day of preparation for Easter for 3 daughters we needed a moment for us, before the next days celebration. We had the back room to ourselves and it was just perfect. Wow! What a disappointment! The server ( I think her name was Ellen. Although she did tell us…read morethat) and the obviously not made in house , carrot cake. Are the only reason I gave it one star. We started with fried calamari. It came out way too fast to have been made to order. It was a tad over fried, so it was rubbery. Tasted like the kind you buy frozen . You know, already breaded. The order was a large quantity , but that doesn't make it good. I ordered shrimp & scallop Pomadoro. The hubs ordered linguine with white clam sauce. That had 2 clams in shells on the top of the pasta, and the rest was canned clams. Believe me, You can tell. My dish was almost fair. The menu read tomato basil cream sauce. More like marinara with a touch of cream. A leaf of basil chopped up on top. The shrimp, scallops & pasta were cooked well, but the almost raw garlic and heavy handed on the salt took away from what might have been an acceptable dish. We also had minestrone soup. Could have fooled me. There was not a bean to be found. The pasta was pastina & it had some type of shredded meat?? Lastly, the coffee was not drinkable. We've heard people, at times , say they have had coffee that tasted like dishwater . We never experienced that until tonight. I ordered decaf & the hubs had reg. They both sucked. One sip was all it took. . We didn't mention anything to the waitress as it's not anything to do with her. But I will write this review as well as a google one. The place was packed. It's dark in the front room . It was ok in the side room where we were. Typical Italian decor. Wine bottles on the walls, that kind of thing. Again we were really disappointed. It's hard to spend $125 and not really enjoy it. Now we know. Armani's in downtown Vero is 100% better. We went there 3 days ago. I will write about that place as that will receive 5 stars. Oh and don't bother with the extra calories by eating the garlic bread . It was Italian bread cut into French fry shape with way too much garlic powder & low grade parmigiana cheese.
