If you're looking for a great spot in Vero Beach, I highly recommend Post & Vine. My wife and I stopped by over the weekend, and we had an amazing time. The setting is beautiful--an awesome mix of indoor and outdoor seating, all under a comfortable covering. They've done a fantastic job combining nature with comfort and practicality. This time, we kept it simple with appetizers, and everything we tried was spot on. We had the fried mushrooms, grilled asparagus, a burrata caprese salad, and a couple of French onion soups. Everything was delicious, but the French onion soup really stood out--rich, flavorful broth with just the right amount of cheesy goodness on top. Pricing is very reasonable, too. Whether you're going for apps or entrees, you're probably looking at less than $50 per person unless you go heavier on drinks (which, honestly, this place is set up for if that's your vibe). Speaking of drinks, there's a bar inside and another one outside, plus plenty of comfortable seating options like couches around the patio fireplace. The vibe is relaxed but classy. Shoutout to Julia, our server, who was running the show up front practically solo, along with a food runner. She was friendly, efficient, and handled everything like a pro, even as it got busier later in the evening. A bonus: there's a cool mural on the north side of the building that makes for a great photo op. My wife loved it! It's also super close to McKee Botanical Garden, which was perfect since we were there for their holiday lights show. We didn't need a reservation--we arrived around 5 p.m. on a Sunday and got seated quickly. But by 6, it started filling up, so you might want to book ahead if you're coming during peak hours. 8 of us were there last night. Service was not great. Food was OK, not great. A few of us liked our pizzas. A few of us liked our sandwiches and meatloaf meals, Fish tacos were not great: The margarita pizza had zero flavor and no cheese. The manager came over once he heard about the pizza complaint and instead of just saying "sorry" he proceeded to explain the ingredients. WOW. After 10 minutes of listening to hm break down the elements of that pizza, i checked myself into a support group and got the hell out of that conversation. My friend was NOT charged for that pizza. I will always suffer from that ex[erience when a manager comes over and tries to talk a diner out of not liking something. WOW. When I saw the food and cocktail menu's I knew I was in trouble because I liked everything. I had a couple of delicious and refreshing hibiscus cocktails. We were a party of 5 so we were able to order a nice variety of appetizers. We had the beet salad, wings, cauliflower pizza with pepperoni (the best cauliflower pizza I ever had, great crust) and the Brie Pillow (amazing flavors). I had the Faroe Island Salmon that was delicious, cooked perfectly and I tried some of the other entrees which were also delicious. Our server Julia was just the best. We were staying in town to go see the McKee Botanical Gardens holiday light display and decided to have dinner here. It was a great decision. The restaurant was decorated with holiday decorations and looked great. It is a very spacious restaurant with plenty of indoor and bar seating. The menu has a nice variety of appetizers, salads, burgers and entrees. We started with the fried mushrooms appetizer. It was a very large portion and came with a horseradish dip and an avacado ranch dip. I really liked the horseradish dip. We then each had a French onion soup. It was a nice large portion and very tasty. My husband then had a side of grilled asparagus and I had the caprese salad. It came with Burratta cheese, tomatoes, basil and a balsamic vinaigrette glaze. I loved it. We were too full for dessert but maybe next time. read more

This place has become a favorite of our for special occasions. We originally came here to celebrate my birthday with my fiancé and the service along with the food was excellent. I love the classy yet casual feel to this place with the fire pits and outdoor seating. The Blueberry Mojito in the video unfortunately was very bland and lacked flavor. Post and Vine has always been our favorite in downtown Vero. Our server was very good, attentive and apologetic for our long wait for drinks, and checked back with us several times. My Asian wings were good, and I have no complaints with them. My husband ordered the fish and chips, and really we should have sent them back, they were so dark it looked like they were nearly burnt, so you know how dry and tasteless they were, and at $24 that's a pretty high price. The flavor was of older oil as well. So disappointing. We've been here many times and will hope for a better experience next time. read more

(It went back) The Cuban sandwich was delivered to the table burned (it went back) One owner told us "That's what gives it the flavor. It's done in a press" Two pizzas were below average. (Hammer usually does an amazing job). One dish out of six was great. The short rib ragu was great. Took that home and added Worcestershire sauce and it was super fantastic the next day. I have eaten here a long time ago so I decided to go again. We sat at the bar because we were early for our reservation and waited 5 minutes before 1 of the 5 people behind the bar greeted us. All of them were at the end of the bar having a conversation instead of taking care of the customers. When we sat at the table there was a good 8 minutes before the server greeted us. We ate with another couple and they brought out 3 out of 4 peoples food. The 4th plate cane out about 5 minutes after everyone else's plates. The filet was a featured item so my wife ordered that. She had the filet last time we were there and she loved it. This time she said it was not tender and it didn't have much seasoning. Ok, so this is my third time typing this review. Yelp has been glitching & didn't save my draft. I'm giving 3.5 , I had the motorworks lager, it was nice. I started w/ the vegan chili. A foodrunner brought it out promptly & it was delicious. The crab cakes I sent back. I couldn't finish one. The burnt after taste was too much. I switched them for the smoked salmon bruschetta. I enjoyed it, light & fresh. Tiffany (I believe her name is) is the bartender & manager. I didn't realize I was overcharged until my ride home. Something told me to keep my receipt. I usually don't. I saw 3 items & thought it was right since the crab cakes were comped. I was charged $16 for the cup of soup instead of $8. She sent the credit back on my card once I spoke with her. The outside patio area will be nice on cooler evenings. It includes a fire pit. If I'm in the area, I'll stop in for vegan chili but I prefer other restaurants in Vero. read more

My husband and I tried to go to Post and Vine last night. There were a number of open tables visible in the outside dining area. I approached the hostess desk where 2 hostesses (teenagers) were standing. One looked at me and asked "what do you want"? Surprised I said to have dinner. She asked what name my reservation was under, I said didn't have one. I then asked her if a reservation was needed for high top tables or bar, she said no. There wasn't any seating available at them. I asked about a table and she said 50 minute wait. My point is, I was not greeted at all, let alone in a friendly manner and had to pry information from the "hostess" who seemed bothered. We have eaten here before, found it to be mediocre at best but liked the atmosphere. Service was okay but not stellar. After last nights treatment, will not be returning. This place is suffering from success and needs to hire or train, staff that is friendly and treats customers as if their job depends on it. read more

My husband and I came here on Super Bowl Sunday to celebrate Valentines Day since he works on Valentine's Day the overnight shift. We saw the pics on line and that's what drew us there the ambiance and the glass fire pit. I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken. To much lemon and overpowering with sour I couldn't eat it. I took it home. My husband ordered the Skirt Steak. That was good. They are known for their pizza and burgers. Their pizza is personal pan size though cooked in a wood fire oven. I will definitely go back but I will get something else. The portions are big. We got the Fried Mushrooms appetizer and that took up an entire tray. We were hoping for more pics but there was a family that got their own table and sat their kids at the glass fire table so we had to sneak in pics. Post and Vine is a favorite of locals, however I noticed that most people from out of town that review Post and Vine rate them low. The truth is, Vero Beach overall lacks great food restaurants in general. That being said, Post and Vine has a nice dining atmosphere with covered open-air seating, which requires diners to be able to tolerate the heat and humidity of the FL outdoor environment. Dress appropriately to stay cool. They do offer a happy hour from 4-6 pm. Half price on the house wines and draft beers. Might I say though, the 1/2 price glass of wine is a 1/2 glass pour if that. We were told cocktails are discounted during happy hour, but not quoted a percent or $ off amount. Menu prices are a bit on the high side so for those folks who are on a budget, take this under consideration. Our server was friendly and efficient. All of our meals (5) came out to the table at the same time. The food was good, but not outstanding for the price tag. A single side is offered with the entree. A simple jerk chicken salad was $19! A 3-taco plate is $20! To me, these types of entrees are overpriced by about $4. We all basically had "lunch" entrees for dinner. Appetizers are priced at as much as an entree. Dinner entrees run from $23-$29 with most Burger plates priced at $18 and Pizzas priced at around $17-$19. We had a nice time at dinner, but if we return it will likely be just for drinks. read more

My wife and I always liked this place very much. We are snowbirds and this was one of the first places we went to eat. I am not sure what has happened to this place but something is seriously wrong this year. First of all PAPER MENU really? Half the menu is gone, all the items we enjoyed gone, They did still have our favorite appetizer but not tonight they were out of them. Then we both ordered a sandwich they were out of those. So we ordered Truffle fries, they were over cooked and cold. My burger at best was fair, my side was Brussel sprouts which I love usually, they were awful.......I later heard new owner and new chef!!!
