I think this is a very, very cool spot. First time trying yesterday, and super glad we did. Def had some quirks (like where the heck did pickleball courts get into the design? lol). We do think, in the cooler months, this place would be a fantastic spot to hang out, listen to live music, play cornhole, etc. Inside: So it's like a food hall type space. Brewery counter and the food counter. * Orchid Brewery: Love breweries, it's our jam (We go to Asheville often). Some breweries it's sometimes hard for me to find 'any' beer I like (and I'm not super picky). I will say i pretty much loved every beer I tasted (FYI: No flights, but you can sample). I did a tropical stout...didn't beat my favorite in the state (Walking Tree BabyCakes) but it was awesome. The Ruby I think double IPA which we had next was awesome as wel. * We had a bbq chicken sammy from the counter, we truly enjoyed it. next time 'pulled pork'!! * Get rid of the arcade when you walk in. Meeting some friends at this new location. Awesome atmosphere with both seating inside and outside. Plenty of parking at the rear. There are pickleball courts and yard games outside. I really wanted to love this place, but it's a hot mess. Parking is pretty challenging first and foremost. Say you find a spot, you're greeted by about 127 kids. This trip, there was even a cheer leading squad, complete with screaming (cheering?) in a room already oversaturated with sound. Want a table to sit down and enjoy your $150 tomahawk steak dinner? Good luck. And oh, here's some plastic ware to cut it with. Look, if you're marketing to parents with kids and this is a family deal, that's fine. I get it. Maybe I'm just out of touch with this one. But you've lost the plot (IMO) when it's part brewery putting on a tomahawk steak special you're advertising online. Nothing about that says screaming kids. Food was actually really really good. Hogan's Yard - Star Ruby - Breweries Near Me - Vero Beach, Florida

I had a much better experience on this visit than I did during one of Hogan Yard's soft opening weekends. It's clear they've made progress, and the place has a lot going for it. The venue itself is beautiful, with plenty of indoor seating, a welcoming atmosphere, and enough space for families, friends, and larger groups to spread out comfortably. The crowd was lively without feeling overcrowded, and it felt more like a community gathering spot than just another brewery. Food was the highlight of the visit. The loaded BBQ tots were piled high with pulled pork and toppings, making them more of a meal than an appetizer. I also tried the pulled pork sandwich, which was tender, flavorful, and generously portioned. The reason I'm holding back the fifth star is that I still feel like Hogan Yards hasn't fully reached its potential yet. The foundation is absolutely there, and the improvements since the soft opening are noticeable. If they continue refining the experience and building on what they're already doing well, I can easily see this becoming one of the area's go-to spots. Been there twice and the food was fantastic both times. Pulled pork sandwich was enough for two meals. Smash burger had a nice crisp and flavor. Both visits were within the first two weeks of them opening. Super busy both nights, long wait for food but staff was pleasant and helpful. If you want to avoid the baby strollers come after 7pm. Saturday arrived at 6pm and place was busy. They have a small arcade room to the right as you enter; pickleball which needs to be reserved in advance; outside patio area with games for kids and lawn chairs; live and started at 7pm and she was great. When we arrived it was open seating inside and outside. There is a line at the bar and a line for food ordering. You are given a number and food is brought to you. Lines are long specially for food. Large space, nice concept. Disappointed they only had 4 craft beers. The rest is wine, NTRL, mom waters etc. Only 2 TVs inside with the opportunity to add more in the middle and on walls. We ordered the nachos which was huge and added brisket. Very smoky, tasty but lacked jalapeños. We asked for a side of additional jalapeños. Hubby had the OG slap burger which was delicious and fresh! Very tasty! He was happy. Overall very happy and will be back once they resolve the long food lines. Place closes at 9pm even on Saturday. For as much time and money went into this place, I'm a bit perplexed as to how they could open in such a disorganized, haphazard way. At the entrance, we were told that we can order our BBQ from our table, and it would be brought to us. Now, it's my understanding the BBQ joint here has moved from a previous location; this carrying their full menu. I was surprised to see that the online ordering only contained a very limited menu. No worries. Toast says our order will be ready in 5-7 minutes. It wasn't very busy. I get the notification it's ready and waited a few minutes before deciding to approach the counter. Food doesn't come. I go to the counter, wait a few minutes, and no one acknowledges me. I finally grab the cashier's attention and he tells me I can sit down if I ordered online and they'll bring the food. A few more minutes go by and our food still doesn't come out. I ask one of the runners when our food is coming out and he told me that if I ordered online, I needed to approach the counter to get my food. I told him that's not what the guy at the register told me and then he got nasty with me and mocked me "wElL tHat'S nOT wHAt tHe GuY At tHe reGiSTer tOld Me". Like dawg it's not my fault y'all don't have your sh** together. I did find out when I approached the counter that you actually can order from the full menu if you wait in line. Really wish someone would've told me that because I had ordered something I didn't necessarily want. There were 2 employees in the kitchen and 2 runners and it was absolute pandemonium as there clearly was no leadership. They were all running around like chickens while the owners were chatting it up with someone at a table. We had been waiting for Orchid Island Brewery to open. We loved them when they were in their previous location. Thry had a great menu and the Ruby Star beer was my favorite. Well, imagine our surprise when we entered the Hogan Yards and found that now they were just a bar in the large room! Plus they no longer had their great menu. Instead there was a Bar B Que there to get food from. Well, the first disappointment was the Ruby Star beer. It was awful! Nothing like I remembered it being. There was no taste of ruby red grapefruit and the beer was bitter! Crops them off my list! The Bar B Que was also terrible! My wife had the smoked wings and they were tougher than smoked rubber! I had the brisket burnt ends in a pimento cheese dip with crackers. If there was 1/2 of a brisket burnt end folded into the pimento cheese dip it would have been a lot, however I doubt if you took all the brisket burnt en pieces in the dip and reconstructed then, I doubt there would have been that much! one and done for this place!
