Visited here while in town at Disney's Vero Beach. We were celebrating an anniversary. The staff 10/10: They were able to combine two separate reservations for us into one table. They noted our special event and gave us a complimentary champagne toast. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive: The Food: 9.5/10 - Crab Cakes: 8.5/10: These were hefty crab cakes. They were basically softballs. Very nice sweet flavor with a delicious orange sauce. - Smash Burger: 10/10: This baby was juice as hell. Great chat flavor. Soft buttery brioche bun. The burger sauce and onion jam were a great compliment to the fatty and unctuous burger. - Philly Cheesesteak: 8/10: Solid bun. Good meat. But somewhere under seasoned. I added some salt. It could've benefited from some more cheese or an addition of a melting cheese on top of the not as creamy provolone. Maybe toasted the bread some to give it more crunch and a better textural contrast, but a very solid sandwich even still. - Lobster bisque: 10/10: I don't usually like lobster bisque but this thing was unbelievable. Deep, robust lobster flavor in a very cream soup. Beautifully velvety mouthfeel. - Lava Cake: 10/10: The cake was pure chocolate flavor. You could smell the warm chocolate the second it hit the table. Complimented perfectly by the cold vanilla ice cream and fudge on the plate: but the star was the pecans. It added this salty crunch in an otherwise pool of soft textures that created an addictive dessert. - -Skillet Berry Cobbler: 8/10: I'm not a big cobbler fan but the crust was impressive. Honestly, it's pretty mid. It's rated roughly 3:5 stars and that's pretty accurate. Sitting on the patio or dock is amazing, but the views aren't worth the prices of the very average food. The day we went, our server made no bones about telling the entire restaurant- as he yelled to another server giving him a table on the dock - the "HE HAD A 10-TOP INSIDE!!" He was pretty pleasant at the table, but he was really hurried and almost quasi-grumpy. (The big table inside said how much they loved Brent!) The food was just so-so. Dolphin is absolutely not meant for fish n chips. My mom got the fish tacos and wanted the fish, also dolphin, grilled or blackened. The server talked her out of that into the fried fish. And with the batter, the pieces of fish were HUGE. Again, dolphin isn't meant to be fried. My wife had the blackened dolphin sandwich, and that was wonderful! This was our first time trying this out.And we were pretty impressed. Service was unbelievably great... Nice relaxing environment good food.. The only thing to note was on the ribeye it said it came with grilled onions. It was literally one slice of an onion that was grilled.. The only thing and it was very minor was when we made reservations online.It asked if we were celebrating a special event, and we were, it was our Wedding Anniversary. We were talking with our server and even mentioned it to her. Usually when you mention something like this, they bring you out a piece of cake or a scoop of ice cream, something small, something thoughtful from the restaurant. This was our first time going and the food and service were outstanding. We ordered the Caesar salad, Filet, Crab cakes, and a side of asparagus. The filet was so tender we could cut it with a butter knife. The lemon zest in the salad made it a nice change from a normal Caesar. The portions are a good size. The prices are what you expect for a nice restaurant. The wine list has a variety of price points and not overpriced. We plan to go back for happy hour and brunch. I just had the beer battered tacos and a Caesar salad to split with a friend and both were delicious. After dinner on the upper deck, went to the bar near the 1st floor deck and had a delightful, well prepared cocktail served by friendly bar tenders. Our waitress, Stephanie was gracious and friendly too. I found all the spaces had a different but pleasing ambiance. I think this is my new favorite place in VB! read more

TradeWinds 41 is one of my favorite spots on Royal Palm Point. It's awesome being able to pull up on the boat, dock for a bit, and head inside to catch the games on Saturdays. The projector setup is great, the bar has a really good atmosphere, and the bartending staff is always top-notch. Just an all-around solid place to hang out in Vero. read more

I've been holding off trying out Tradewinds 41, big mistake. The service at the outside bar was great. Kevin the bartender did a great job taking care of our large party as we waited for our table. We were seated a few minutes after our reservation time. The food was really great. Starting with the grilled oysters, steak tartare and fish dip. Everyone really enjoyed the appetizers and the service with Gary was again great. I had the Filet, cooked med-rare, perfect warm red center. Both the scallops and the Snapper were fantastic. I'll start with the good news! The restaurant is beautiful, romantic, and arguably in one of the best spots in Vero. Parking was easy on Friday night, and I see they have already made provision for overflow. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Our server was attentive and knew the menu, wine, and liquor lists and could answer all our questions. I had a cocktail, (fine, nothing special) and hubby had a lovely glass of wine. We decided to splurge and ordered the seafood tower for $95. When you order a seafood tower at that price, you expect it to excel. It did not. The crab claws were the size of my thumb nail, had been previously frozen, and were full of water. The "jumbo" shrimp were small by any standard, unseasoned, and also tasted previously frozen. Oysters were fine, tasted fresh, but did not appear to have been shucked to order (likely shucked for service) as there was no evident liquor in the shell that would indicate recent shucking. Lobster tails also had no seasoning, and no sauce or dip to accompany. For our entree we ordered the blackened tacos to share. The fish in the tacos was tasted fresh and was plentiful. The side of truffled fries was the best thing we ate all night. Absolute perfection and piping hot. The shared desert of flourless chocolate cake was delicious. We both really enjoyed being on the water, and the ambience of the place - it felt like we were in vacation in our hometown which was lovely. Overall, for as much as we enjoyed being there, the food was remarkably underwhelming. No, we did not complain at the time. We got everything we ordered, and everything was edible and appropriately cooked/served. But, we couldn't help but feel a bit ripped off. Whoever in management OK'd that tower for that price.....! Anyway, maybe we'll pop back over for lunch or something and enjoy the spectacular views. Perhaps we just ordered badly as other people seem to have enjoyed their experience and rated the restaurant significantly higher. Shrimp cocktail was very good super fresh and good size shrimp. Mussel appetizer was very good Wife had it as her entree. I had the filet and it came just as ordered medium and it was very good. I'll keep this short....there's really not much to dislike about Tradewinds41. It's easily one of the best restaurants in town, especially impressive for a new spot. I'm sharing this from a wine lover's perspective only, because everything else about the restaurant is outstanding. That's why I was a bit surprised when I looked at the wine list, both by the glass and by the bottle. It just doesn't seem to match the high standards you've clearly set for the food, service, and atmosphere. I'd love to see the wine program elevated to the same level. That doesn't mean "carry only expensive wines". Bring in some quality "drinkers" too, both by the bottle and by the glass. I think most wine enthusiasts would really appreciate it once they see an updated selection. Note: They have a corkage fee of $25 if you bring your own wine. read more

Two story seating outside overlooking the water and two really nice dining areas inside. They got a new chef last week. We got the salmon with the basil oil and the snapper with the coconut sauce. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and were delicious. We enjoyed both with a glass of wine and had the lavender creme brulee for dessert. The couple next to us said their food and gelato they ordered were wonderful as well. So past reviews will be reflecting a chef that is no longer there and that is important to note. We came in to eat dinner in Saturday evening and elected to sit at the bar. Ordered oysters, beef tartar, an excellent beet salad, and some asparagus. All great! Service from our bartender was great as well. The issue was I ordered the wood grilled ribeye steak MR, what i was brought was a NY strip steak(which isnt even offered on the menu). I flagged whom I thought was the GM, she came by and I let her know that I was given the wrong steak. She proceeded to take a pic and go back to the kitchen. After a few minutes she returned confirming what I said. I opted to eat it as I was ready to go and did not want to wait anymore. Funny thing is she asked if I was a chef, and obviously I confirmed her suspicion. My gripe is that no effort was made to rectify the mistake, no offer of dessert, a glass of wine nor a discount for an inferior steak. Problem here is that I was still charged for a steak I never received. So beware when eating here you might not get what you ask for or ultimately pay for. A few days ago, friends from NH, ND & MN visited (after scheduling a reservation) to preview the restaurant for a larger group reservation we planned for next week. Since it was a test run, several starters were ordered to share rather than full entrees. While they were excellent in quality and presentation, service timing was very disappointing. Several tables arriving after us, ordering entrees were served entirely before we received our appetizers. As a result, our meal extended much longer than expected. The high-decibel environment added to our frustration. We also inquired upon arrival about a mock tail list due to medications. None was available, however a virgin margarita was suggested by waiter. It came tasting primarily of lemon/lime bottled juice, lacking balance. Surprising that an establishment of this caliber of cuisine would not have a mock tail menu. The food itself shows strong potential - hats off to the chef. However, the service experience makes us hesitant about bringing a larger group. We hope timing and beverage options improve to match the kitchen's impressive execution. Sadly, first impressions may sometimes be the last! Best wishes for improvements. Old classic menu items but very diverse price points all very fair Banana cheesecake was very tasty. Well prepared conch chowder only like 2 weeks old but amazingly well oiled. Had Mother's Day Brunch with my family. We were seated outside which was fine, but the sun was really hot two of us were seating in the direct sun and love bugs were everywhere in our drinks and in our food. We were seated just an hour after they opened for brunch and they were already out of lobster. There were several items on the menu that had lobster in it. How could you run out of lobster an hour after you open. Poor planning. We were all very disappointed. read more

Our party of four arrived early, around 5:30 for dinner and drinks. Unfortunately we sat inside near the bar. Service was slow and the place was very noisy. Our dinner was very slow in coming - our guests had three wines, waiting for almost an hour for it to arrive. The scallops were soaked in a heavy sauce with no rice or veges as promised in the menu. Our server said the cook had changed it an we had an old one. It was expensive. I sat at the bar intending to order a drink and have dinner and for 15 minutes literally no was behind the bar to take my order. 15 minute! No exaggeration. So I walked out and am now enjoying my dinner at Darios which is a restaurant nearby. My wife and I have recently purchased a home in Vero Beach and are in the early stages of exploring the restaurant scene here. Don't expect to return here anytime soon. read more

We had a 7:00 reservation which was not honored . We were told to wait and they would buy us a drink, however we were completely ignored even after many table inquiries from the hostess to the OWNER. It was mortifying as we had brought friends we wanted to treat to a special dinner. We have never been treated so rudely in all our years of dining out! Went there for brunch 3/29. I know it's not a breakfast place, but what I was served and how it was given to me was an insult. It was 2 huge pancakes, 2 eggs. However, the pancakes were thick and dry and barely warm. Had to ask for syrup and butter. The eggs were thrown into a small bowl upside down, so over cooked they were unrecognizable. If you're going to put those things on the menu, they should be edible. I will never go back to this restaurant!! read more

On top of the lackluster effort, I waited so long for the check I just paid and left. When I got I home I noticed I was charged for food I never received. (That's one way to cover expenses.) First, the food was good. The ambiance was good. Parking was good. The server was new and didn't have the rhythm down for ordering and pacing. The bar and the servers were NOT in sync. Ordered 2 martinis. They sat at the bar for a long time. Arrived at the table room temperature was not good. So, we switched to a bottle of wine to split. After 20 minutes, we asked our server if it was coming soon. She said, 'Well, I put in the order, but I never went to pick it up.' Seems that there is a relay communication problem with the bar and the serving team. When our food arrived 90 minutes after being seated, everyone was served but 1 person. She forgot his order. Hoping this is all growing pains because the location is nice, but it will be a long while before we go back. The bartenders need to execute the drinks more timely and intervene when the drinks are sitting for 15 minutes without delivery. The manager did stop by and we told her our feelings. She said we were lucky we were seated outside so quickly. I did tell her we had a reservation, but I guess that didn't matter. Not sure why she felt we were lucky to be seated at our reserved time.
