The establishment was full and busy, but we only waited about 10 minutes from seat time to service. Our breakfast came out hot and well prepared and everything tasted great.. Everything you could want with crispy skin, plenty of meat, and a sticky sauce that is flavorful and not too spicy. The shrimp and grits are the best I have ever eaten, and I've been to many of the landmark restaurants in New Orleans. The spice level is really on point - warming, but not too hot - with plenty of shrimp and sausage. Grits perfectly prepared, and the whole dish was swimming in delicious broth. Simply perfect. Their tuna tacos were also delicious with a generous amount of sushi-grade tuna perfectly seared. My only complaint is that the meal we enjoyed was so delicious, it's going to be difficult not to order the same meal over, and over, which would be a shame because everything we saw coming out of this power-house kitchen looked amazing.

This is my fifth time dining at Autumn Crabs, and once again, it did not disappoint. The service is consistently top-notch -- efficient, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. The food is absolutely exceptional every single time; the flavors are bold, fresh, and unforgettable. You can tell they take real pride in what they serve. What makes this place even better are the prices -- incredibly fair for the quality and portion sizes. It's rare to find a spot that balances value and flavor so well. We had to walk out of the way since a dog that was a size of a horse was sprawled out on the floor. Our table was absolutely disgusting! It was dirty and sticky and the coasting of shellac had apparently gotten melted and was sticky and black. Even the seat was dirty and I ended up whipping away pieces of paper on my seat with my hands. Everything including my arms stuck to the table. It took awhile for a very young person with zero personality come to take our order. We gave him a drink and appetizer order. I was attempting to forget about how disgusting the table and the large dog was with the view. The drink that didn't have enough ice although I requested a tall glass with lots of ice arrived with the appetizer. It was good despite being served with greasy fried saltines. When I attempted to start eating a very large Woodstork was fishing on the rocks when the people with the large dog started throwing crackers at it..despite signs everywhere not to feed the birds. After 15 minutes it finally went away. Now our food was cold. We complained to the waiter but all he could offer was, "Thank you for telling me." No offer to relocate. Our main meals came. Both of our fish were way overcooked. Mine was dry and not edible. My husband's was dry but he didn't complain since my birthday dinner was basically ruined anyway. The clean gender assigned bathroom was gorgeous with green ocean themed epoxy flooring, lizard skin walls and bamboo partitions. It was a WOW effect upon entry.
